  • Change Item style dynamically

    Hi Folks,
    I have a requirement in which I need to customize Standard Supplier Page from following navigation "Suppliers --> Inquiry" in Payables Manager Resp.
    The change I need to do is:
    Change "Supplier Name" MessageTextInput item as LOV item and attach a custom LOVVO to the LOVRN.
    Is it possible?
    If possible please tell me the Extensions involved and steps if brief to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Best Practice: Dynamically changing Item-Level permissions?

    Hi all,
    Can you share your opinion on the best practice for Dynamically changing item permissions?
    For example, given this scenario:
    Item Creator can create an initial item.
    After item creator creates, the item becomes read-only for him. Other users can create, but they can only see their own entries (Created by).
    At any point in time, other users can be given Read access (or any other access) by an Administrator to a specific item.
    The item is then given edit permission to a Reviewer and Approver. Reviewers can only edit, and Approvers can only approve.
    After the item has been reviewed, the item becomes read-only to everyone.
    I read that there is only a specific number of unique permissions for a List / Library before performance issues start to set in. Given the requirements above, it looks like item-level permission is unavoidable.
    Do you have certain ideas how best to go with this?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to change item level permission.
    There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.
    You can create a custom permission level using Visual Studio to allow users to add & view items, but not edit permission.
    Then create a group with the custom permission level. The users in this group would have the permission of create & add permission, but they could no edit the item.
    In the CodePlex, there is a custom workflow activities, but by default it only have four permission level:
    Full Control , Design ,Contribute and Read.
    You should also customize some permission levels for your scenario.
    What’s more, when use the SharePoint 2013 designer, you should only use the 2010 platform to create the workflow using this activities,

  • How to change a item type dynamically?

    Is it possible to change a item type dynamically?
    For example.
    I've got a page with 2 items. The first is a select list and the second is a date picker. The select list contains two values, 1 and 2.
    If value 1 is selected the second item needs to remain a date picker. If value 2 is selected the second item needs to become a Text Field (disabled saves state).
    Anyone got an idea?
    Thx. Frank.

    Frank,
    It's not possible to change the item type dynamically as you describe it below. However, to achieve a similar effect you could do the following:
    1) Make the Select List a Select List With Submit.
    2) Have a Date Picker AND a Text Field on the page.
    3) Make the display of the Date Picker item conditional on the relevant value having been chosen from the Select List.
    4) Make the display of the Text Item conditional on the other value having been chosen from the Select List.

  • Dynamic Item Renderer

    Hello everyone,
    I used Catalyst to design my interaction and navigation and then use Flash Builder to add all my logic. Everything works as expected but i have one issue regarding my item renderer data list.
    Here is my issue : i set up an itemRenderer for a dynamic calendar filled by a database.
    Every schedule contain one to four workshops (data.ws, data.ws2. data.ws3 data.ws4) and are separated by a static bar (footerGroup)
    So, i am trying (since days now) to make this separate bar dynamic so there are no blank gap between repeated two schedules if there are less than 4 workshops.
    I reckon i need to code an actionscript "if statement" for the bar to move its Y according to workshops.
    Thanks for your help and guidance guys,
    i have a designer background and have some hard time to develop some special features
    End-user view without the dynamic bar:

    Wouldn't I then just get one image? Whereas what I want is if
    the value = 1, display 1 image. If the value = 2, display 2 images.
    Thus creating a bar of images.
    Im actually having trouble adding multiple images to the HBox
    in the itemRenderer.

  • Item Renderer Changes

    Hey guys,
    I wanted to let you know that we've made some changes to the ItemRenderer class in Spark.  The changes and reasons for the change are outlined here: http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Item+Renderer+Changes .  Also note that this may break existing ItemRenderers.
    An overview of the change is given below:
    In MX, the selection/rollover highlight was automatically drawn by the List. In Spark, item renderers control everything about their appearance. In a Spark ItemRenderer, you can use states to figure out what to display in the selection/rollover state.  This is still true before and after the most recent changes; however, we're providing a new flag, autoDrawBackground, which will automatically draw the selection/rollover highlight for you.  By default this flag is on so you don't need to worry about the selection/rollover highlight.  If you want more control over what happens in the selection/rollover states and don't want the default highlight rectangle, you can turn this flag off by setting autoDrawBackground=false on your ItemRenderer class.  Turning this flag off would give you the same behavior you have today.
    If you have any questions, please let us know.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

    this is the only time you call fillList, and it appears to be
    commented out.
    In your override of the listData setter, you need to set a
    flag that you
    check for in an override of commitProperties. In
    commitProperties, if the
    flag is true, then run the function.

  • Changing List's item renderer and layout causes exception

    I have buttons in my UI to switch a list between a tile view (thumbnails) and a list view (details).
    This code works:
         var layout:TileLayout = new TileLayout();
         resultsList.layout = layout;
         resultsList.itemRenderer = new ClassFactory(MediaTileRenderer);
    This code doesn't:
         var layout:VerticalLayout = new VerticalLayout();
         resultsList.layout = layout;
         resultsList.itemRenderer = new ClassFactory(MediaItemRenderer);
    It's not the item renderer's fault, I can use the tile renderer again in the second block of code and it will still explode.  If I swap the VerticalLayout for a TileLayout, it works fine.  HorizontalLayout explodes.
    The exception is occurring in LinearLayoutVector/remove (541):
    Error: invalidIndex

    Does anyone know why this doesn't work?  It seems like a fairly common idea- using a single list and toggling between different view modes.

    Here's a zip of a sample project: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15760/LayoutTest.zip.
    A workaround that I've found:
    Switch to a BasicLayout while changing the itemRenderer, then apply the VerticalLayout afterwards.

  • How to dynamically changes items properties

    How to dynamically changes items properties likes position order in tabular view, width, prompt

    Many object properties can be set programmatically at runtime. For example, each window object has a Visible property that can be set to either Yes or No to show and hide the window. At runtime, you can call the built-in procedure SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY to show or hide the window dynamically, as shown here:
    Set_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE, PROPERTY_ON);
    The following built-in procedures are available for setting object properties at runtime:
    -     SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY
    -     SET_CANVAS_PROPERTY
    -     SET_FORM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_ITEM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_LOV_PROPERTY
    -     SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_PARAMETER_ATTR
    -     SET_RADIO_BUTTON_PROPERTY
    -     SET_RECORD_PROPERTY
    -     SET_RELATION_PROPERTY
    -     SET_VIEW_PROPERTY
    -     SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY
    The built-in procedure SET_ITEM_PROPERTY can be used to set the properties of any type of item, including buttons, text items, check boxes, radio groups, etc.
    Note: Radio group items include individual radio buttons; use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY to set the properties of the radio group, and SET_RADIO_BUTTON_PROPERTY to set the properties of the individual buttons in the group.
    Each built-in SET procedure has a corresponding GET function that allows you to programmatically determine the current setting of an object's properties. The following example uses GET_WINDOW_PROPERTY to determine if a window is currently hidden (VISIBLE = FALSE). If the window is hidden, SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY is called to show the window.
    If Get_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE) = 'FALSE' THEN
    Set_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE,PROPERTY_ON);
    To determine if a particular property can be set programmatically, refer to the property descriptions in online Help.

  • Dynamic action to change item label

    Hi All,
    How can I use dynamic action to change item label?
    thanks.

    Hi,
    fac586 wrote:
    Why and when do you want to dynamically change a label? This would have a detrimental effect on usability and accessibility.
    Consider a visually impaired user of your app using a screen reader. The screen reader identifies a checkbox labelled "Free Cake". They like the sound of that, so navigate to the checkbox to tick it. Your dynamic action fires when it gets focus and changes the label to "Give all my money to Fadi".I think this would confuse even a sighted user! I don't know the OP full requirements or constraints but I can bet the OP does not want to change the item label when the user navigates to it.
    I have to say that I don't like forms that change as the user enters data. I think that enabling and disabling fields is OK, but not hiding or showing or changing labels or field types.
    In any case, if you have to do it, an alternative to changing an item label is to have 2 separate items: one hidden and one shown. Then, using some triggering event, you can hide one and show the other.
    Because there are built-in dynamic actions to hide and show items but not to change item labels, one might thing that one approach is more acceptable than the other. However, if those 2 separate items occupy the same spot in the page, from a user point of view (or screen reader for that matter) I don't see any difference between those two approaches (in my view, both bad practices.)
    And because of its lots of nested tables, lack of headings etc, apex pages are not screen-reader friendly anyway... This is an interesting plugin for firefox that shows how your page would be read by a screen reader:

  • Changing values in custom item renderer

    I have an xml feed that I am using to populate a List control. The list control has it's itemRenderer property set to CustomListItem which a custom component built by me to display various pieces of data from the xml along with an icon. At certain points I would like to ba able to tell one of the fields in CustomListItem to change from displaying xml.firstData to xml.secondData depending on a radio button selection but I can't find a way to access the properties of CustomListItem from main.mxml (which is where the radio buttons are).
    At the moment the values in CustomListItem are set using functions within it to parse the 'data' property.
    Sorry if this is a bit of a sketchy explanation of my problem Any suggestions would be great.

  • How to change VO's dynamically for a item for each row in advanced table?

    Hi All,
    We had a requirement to filter the employees based on the search criteria table. I am using advanced table for developing search criteria.
    In that table I am having three columns. Operator (messagechoice), Criteria Type (messagechoice), and Criteria value (messageLovInput). Also 'Add Another Row' functionality is available.
    My requirement is:
    First Row:(Initial Row)
    When the user selects a value in Criteria Type, only the values that are relevant to that type should be displayed in the Criteria Value.
    Second Row: (when the user selects Add Another Row button)
    When the user selects a value in Criteria Type, only the values that are relevant to that type should be displayed in the Criteria Value.
    The problem I am facing here is, the Criteria Value column is pointing to only one VO at design time. But wee need to change that VO dynamically without disturbing other rows depending on the Criteria Type value.
    Is it possible to do so?
    Note: User can add n number of conditions as he want.
    Can anyone help how to acheive this.

    Sundeep.

    Hi JTan414,
    I have check the expression you have provided and there are many incorrect using of this expression, please check and do some modification as below:
    For the MonthName function you should follow the grammar like:
    =MonthName(10,True)
    =MonthName(Month(Fields!BirthDate.Value),False)
    ="The month of your birthday is " & MonthName(Month(Fields!BirthDate.Value))
    You have add the dataset name "DealStarts" at the wrong place, it should like below:
    =Last(MonthName(Month(Fields!BirthDate.Value)),"DealStarts")
    or
    =Last(MonthName(Fields!IntegerValueField.Value),"DealStarts")
    This will return the last value from the dataset
    There is no function named launchdate, expression "launchdate ("RowofTrendingVisibility")" is incorrect and you shouldn't add the datasetname in this way.
    If the expression involved of conditions from two different datasets, limit kinds of functions will support to use:
     =Last(Fields!BirthDate.Value,"DataSetName")
    =First(Fields!BirthDate.Value,"DataSetName")

  • Datagrid and Inline Item renderer problem

    I have a datgrid with two inline item renderers. The dataprovider for my DG is a nested object (objects within objects within objects i.e 3-layered).
    Main Object - 1st Level
                              |
                  2nd Level Object 1
                                    |
                                3rd level object '1' => ('name'=>somename,'id'=>someid)
                                3rd level object '2'
                                3rd level object 'n'
                 2nd Level Object 2
                                    |
                                3rd level object '1' => ('name'=>somename,'id'=>someid)
                                3rd level object '2'
                                3rd level object 'n'
    I use 2 item renderers (one for each datagrid column) which loops thro the 2nd level object1 and 2 respectively (the 2nd level object is a dynamic array of objects, in that the number of objects within keep changing).
    Within the item renderer I loop thro the 2nd level object using a foreach and then display the data. The data is a linkbutton, which when clicked , calls a remote object function to delete the data from the database
    now on the result event of the remote object function call, i call the function to repopulate the DG, so that the updated data is displayed.
    When i click on the linkbutton in the first row, the backend works perfectly fine (the data gets deleted from the database and the refreshed data is sent back), but for some reason, the deleted data suddenly appears in the 2nd row.
    When i delete it from the second row, it appears on the 3rd row (nothing happens in the backend since the data is already deleted).. and so on, till it appears on the last row and then the DG looks exactly the way it shld have looked after the first delete.
    This is just the beginning. The second item renderer also displays a linkbutton, which when clicked, displays that data in the previous column (the one where this data can be deleted). When i click on 1st row, the data gets added in the previous column of the second row .. and so on..
    Basically, my DG is acting really weird. I overrided the set data function in the item renderer to refrsh the data and called its invalidateDisplayList. I also call the Datagrid's invalidateDisplayList function after each refresh.  The behavior remains the same.
    Please help me on this ...
