Change name of AuthoredContent.xml

I am using Encore to create some simple interactive flash banners to put on a website, but I am running into a problem due to the fact that each flash file requires the AuthoredContent.xmlfile. If I try to load multiple flash files into a single page, I believe this requires that the SWF file is loaded in the same folder as the webpage (html in this case). However, if there are multiple SWF files in the same folder, each requiring their own AuthoredContent.xml file, this becomes a problem.
Ideally, it would be great if each flash output could have its own specific XML file so that they could all sit in the same folder without any problems. Another alternative would be to allow the XML file to be expanded to accommodate more than one SWF file. Any suggestions on how to get around this?

Yes, I think I am going to have to just use Flash. The flash I was creating was very simple, and Encore would have done the trick if it had not been for the fact that the file would always require the AuthoredContent.xml file. I was just trying to avoid having to learn ActionScript, and most of my animation is coming directly from AfterEffects, with which I am much more comfortable. However, since I first made that post, I have started learning ActionScript, and also realized how to use the XFL format, so it does not appear to be too bad. Within a few weeks, I should be able to create in Flash what I was trying to do in Encore.

Cannot change table-name in persistent.xml

I've successful deployed a Entity EJB on "SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP4 NetWeaver Developer Sneak Preview"
After changing the Table Name in persistent.xml and re-deploying the new EAR, the Entity EJB still writes to the old table.
How can I get SAP Web AS to accept the new persistent.xml/persistent-ejb-map/entity-beans/entity-bean/table-name entry ?
I've already tried:
1) Re-deploy EAR and re-boot the server
2) Delete all old copies of EAR directories and temporary files, reboot and re-deploy.
Note: Expanding new EAR confirms that persistent.xml/table-name has been updated on the SAP Web AS. However, EJB still writes to the old table.

In Web AS 6.40 the application data is stored in the database, therefore it is restored even if you delete the folders in the file system.
To undeploy the application, you can use the Deploy Service runtime in Visual Administrator. Start the Visual Administrator using the go script file in <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\admin. Then expand the Services tree under the server node, and choose Deploy. On the right-hand side of the screen switch to Application view, select your application, and choose Remove.

How can I change the name of the XML file which is submitted by mail?

Hello Everybody,
If I submit my pdf file as XML
I will get something like this:
MyFile.PDF -> submit as XML -> MyFile_data.XML
My problem is with the _data at the end of the file name -> this addition is coming from the windows logon language,
I know that because if the windows logon is in spanish I get the addition _datos for example: MyFile_datos.XML
Is there a way to change the name of the xml file for example : MyFile.XML

Hello Uti,
I found out it is something with the adobe reader installation.
If it is in English the suffix is _data
If it is in Spanish the suffix is _datos
If it is in Hebrew the suffix is _נתונים
So Now I think i will have to open OSS for this issue.

XML export changes names of art

I recently exported an InDesign file and noticed that the art names in the xml file had been truncated.
Is there a character limit for the names of art (similar to the names of pdf files for ftp transfer)??

I just did some testing and found that if you select the option <Original Images> in the Images tab of the export xml options then it seems to truncate both the art it copies into the Images folder and the xml href. See screen shot below.
If you leave this option unchecked, then it will not truncate the xml href code.
Could this be a bug?

Dynamic file name in Export: XML

I am generating a SQL report on a page that can be exported as XML File and It seems to me the file name come from the name of the report region by default and I 'd like use a value of an item as the XML file name.
I tried to put &P15_ITEM. as name of report region, then the XML file name I got is: p15_item[1]..xml. But if I change the Report Template back to Standard Template, the region name displays the value of P15_ITEM.
So, my question is, Is ther anyway we could reset the file name of the XML file, such as the value of an item, In Version 1.6.?

The way to do it is :
1. In ID, advanced tab, put a check on the adapter-specific message attributes - file name.
2. Put a "*" on the file name scheme
3. In IR, create a UDF to set up target file name :

Name of Syndicated XML file(MDM SS)

Hi,
Currently syndication server creates files with such names: "10002-10-1-04-01-09-10-33-11_090401-103314_000.xml".
I Have three question:
1. How can I change names of syndicated files?
2. As I understand first part of the name "10002" shows number of syndication. What will be if number of syndication will be larger then 99999?
3. How can I zero this counter?

Are you syndicating the file through an MDM workflow or is it directly through the MDSS.
As it is not very clear the figure "10002" refers to the Workflow ID or the number of syndications as mentioned by you.
It first needs to be clarified what does the number point to ,and in either of the case in my opinion if the count reaches 99999 it should get incremented by +1.
As there is no such upper limit specified for the number of time you want to auto syndicate.
The only care that needs to be taken here is the number of output files that keep getting accumulated in the outbound ready folder and the large number of logs generated in the log folder.Probably we may need to periodically clean up those folders to avoid overcrowding but otherwise it should work fine.

Hi There,
The ipsadmin tool does not seem to be able to dynamically add any new attributes to a component. the best would be to do a "ipsadmin delete component iwtUserInfoProver" and then "ipsadmin -import iwtUserInfoProvider.xml" this should "update" the component with the new attribute.

Converting Video to iPod, can you change name of file

When you convert Video to iPod format, can you change name of the new file or put some "marker" so one can tell which is the orginal and which is the new file?
Currently it is difficult to tell between the orignal and the new file.

You'd probably be better off doing this sort of editing in iTunes, and letting it move the files appropriately.
Go to the preferences, Advanced tab, and check the box to 'Keep iTune Music folder organized'. Then any changes you make to song names or other info (within iTunes) will automatically be applied.

Daniel,
you (normaly) just have to :
1) edit the $FORTE_ROOT/fortedef.sh fileand change the value of variable
FORTE_NS_ADDRESS
2) shutdown and restart forte environment
3) put the new values in the control panel of the client and run !
It worked on our site with the same configuration (Aix 4.2)

Using NAT to reach forte
Hello Forte Users :
 I have 2 questions to make:
 1)
 I've installed a Forte Server Central Node (Release 3.0.F.2) in an
IBM RS/6000 with OS AIX 4.2
 (The name of the server is Name_1 and the IP address is
125.125.50.50 with mask 255.255.255.0)
 Nowadays we had to change the name and IP address of this server
lets say to Name_2 and 125.125.60.60 with mask 255.255.255.0.
 After that we try to find any reference to old name and IP address
in the forte directory and all of its subdirectories changing them to
the new ones.
 After these changes we found than forte could'nt start the nodemgr
server.
 We have too many reasons to avoid installing FORTE again.
 Does anybody know if I have to change anything more to make
nodemgr server work.
 2)
 The second question is about NAT (Network Address Translation).
 To reach a Forte Server Central Node from a Forte Client we have
to pass through a Firewall and NAT.
 We are researching and at this moment we can not reach the server
from the client, has anybody any suggestion to correctly configure
Forte (Client and Server) to use NAT between them.
 If anyone could help me I would be very pleased.

Files saved on memory stick on pc show as original file name followed by .XML and i cannot open why

files saved on memory stick on pc show as original file name followed by .XML for example tester.doc.XML, is there any reason? I cant open these on mac, if i put it back in PC is shows file as normal without .XML. Confused.com any ideas.

I have files on my work laptop (PC) e.g. document1.doc (word document), I then save it to my memory stick (which i have reformatted, I also tried my external disk drive) and then take that to my macbook, plug it in and in finder it then shows as document1.doc.XML, which i cannot open. It happens to all types of files, it just seems to add .XML on the end of everything.

What devices are you trying to connect to, and are they in pairing mode? Is the phone in pairing mode? The iPhone only connects to audio devices and to computers for tethering. You cannot use BlueTooth on an iPhone for file transfers to other phones or computers.
