Change of Default feature of LOV

Hi All,
If user clicks the LOV field,the pop up window should not take the messageLovInput vallue as criteria and the pop up should display all the values based on one id.
Example:
In my page,two fields are there one is Employee name LOV and Employee Role LOV.
If user selects the Employee name,Emp id will be stored as a formValue in the page and i am displaying the default role in the Employee Role LOV
of the Employee based on emp_id.Now my Reqirement is ,if User selects the Employee Role LOV,the pop window should display all the Emp Roles related to that perticular Employee.But currently if i click the Emp Role LOV,pop window is displaying the default Role only.
Can any one give ideas like how to display all Emp Roles in pop up window with out considering the Base page Emp Role as criteria.
Thanks,
Sai

Hi,
try and experiment with
public void onLauchLov(LaunchPopupEvent launchPopupEvent) {
        String submittedValue = [... get your ID ..]
        //only perform query if value is submitted
        if (submittedValue!=null &&submittedValue.length()>0){
            RichInputListOfValues lovComp = (RichInputListOfValues)launchPopupEvent.getComponent();
            FacesCtrlLOVBinding.ListOfValuesModelImpl lovModel = null;
            lovModel = (FacesCtrlLOVBinding.ListOfValuesModelImpl) lovComp.getModel();
            lovModel.getCriteria().getCurrentRow().setAttribute("<the attribute value to set>",submittedValue+"%");
            lovModel.applyCriteria();
            lovModel.performQuery(lovModel.getQueryDescriptor());
    }in a launch listener

    For sideloaded content the nook pulls the metadata from ePub file itself.  I would suggest looking at a program like Sigil or Calibre that will let you edit the metadata in the book to make it appear like you want.
    For the PDF vs ePub - No, that's the way PDFs work (think of them as graphics, not text), wheres ePubs are Web Pages - so  no you can't them to behave exactly alike without converting the files.

    If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
    You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
    *Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
    Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
    *Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
    You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
    Note that some firewalls monitor secure (https) connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

  • How to change the default look and feel

    Does anyone knows how to change the default Caspian look and feel to, for example, Nimbus ?
    Or the skin feature turns look and feel setting, as We know in java, unnecessary in javafx ?
    I´m using javafx 1.2.
    Cheers

    Canspian is not a look&feel, it's a skin.

  • How to change the default browser in Xfce

    Hi all,
    I just installed Arch and am still using Openbox, but I was looking for info on how to change my default applications. After reading through several posts and documentation pages, I came across two handy files in my /usr/share/applications folder called, simply enough, Preferred Applications. For other newbies out there trying to change their default browser and having trouble succeeding with
    $ nano /usr/bin/xdg-open
    this seems to be a pretty quick fix. It feels pretty obvious, so I'm not sure if it's a warranted post, but I know it was a neat feature to discover and thought others might benefit.

    You may want to mark your post as "[SOLVED]" so people that are looking for this info know that it is not just a question that has not been answered. And so people that are looking to help don't open and read through to find out it is not needed.
    Or edit the title of the post to say "A way to change..." or something so it looks less like a question.

  • How to change the default library size...

    I have a PowerMac G4 with 1.25ghz and 1.25gig memory. I also have about 7500 photos, a total of about 10 gig, with about 1/3 taken with a Nikon D70. As you might guess, iPhoto (and only iPhoto) is really slow to open and close...I get the beachball for a minute or so before anything happens.
    In reading topics surrounding the slowness of loading/closing iPhoto, one person suggested changing the default size of the iPhoto library...but they didn't say how? I'm assuming that this changes it so that the system doesn't need to show the whole library? This isn't just viewing the pictures as large pictures instead of thumbnails is it?
    Any help would be appreciated....also, if there is another solution I'd love to hear about it.
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Thomas:
    As you've read the problem comes from your Nikon camera and the MakerNotes it creates and adds to each image file. I believe you're referring to splitting up your library into smaller sub libraries. That can be done by making a duplicate of your current library, call it Lib1. Then open Lib1 with iPhoto and delete all the photos but those you want in that particular library. Make another duplicate of the original library, Lib2, and repeat the process. That way you'll have multiple smaller libraries that you can manage with either iPhoto Buddy or iPhoto Library Manager.
    Eric Lindsay developed applescripts to remove the MakerNote information from the Library.iPhoto file which gets the speed back up to what it should be. However, any new imports from the Nikon will add MakerNotes.

  • How do I change the default POP account directory (~/Library/Mail)?

    With Mail 1.0 in 10.3.9, I could change the default ~/Library/Mail storage location for a POP account. I did this by setting up an account and in the advanced tab choosing a path.
    With Mail 2.0 in 10.4.4, when going through the guided account setup, the directory option is no longer available. But the option still shows greyed-out, so I assume it's possible to change.
    <img src="http://www.j-arch.com/images2/mail.jpg" </img>
    How do I get my POP account to store somewhere else?
    G4 1.25 MDD   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    hmmm.. I've been complaining about this to the engineers for over a year. The storage location should be chooseable as should there also be a backup feature (as in Addressbook and iCal).
    for those that want to change this... it would be cool for someone to write a non cryptic, complete 1,2,3 stepped procedure.
    That is.. exactly what do you change to what in the mail user preference file? And what do you use to change it.. text edit? "[ ]" heretofor = folder
    I would like to change my Mail storage location to the my [Documents] . Using Text Edit, I went into my user [Library], to [Preferences] and opened the com.apple.mail.plist and changed all the ~/Library/mail storage locations to ~/Documents/Mail
    lastly I moved the [Mail] that was in the [Library] to my [Documents].
    Didn't work. Restarting Mail got me into the guided set a new account (and as far as I can see there IS no way of not taking the guided set up as alledged above). There must be something, some built-in direction other than in the [Preferences] defaulting mail to be saved in the [Library] folder
    If someone has done this and been successful.. a 1,2,3.. list would be apprecaited... and please don't leave any details out. Thanks

  • How do I change the default program to open Pages docs to the old (4.3) version instead of the new one (5.0)?

    How do I change the default program to open Pages docs to the old (4.3) version instead of the new one (5.0)? When I do what Apple said and go to a Pages file in finder and select "get info" then select "Pages 4.3" and "change all" it just defaults to the new one even though I'd selected the old one. Do I need to completely uninstall the new version of Pages or is there another work around because the new version of Pages comes dreadfully short of the features I need that are included in the old one?

    Eric Kraft wrote:
    HOWEVER, if you modified a document in 5.0, 4.3 can't open it. You'll have to use Time Machine to replace the modified version with an earlier version that was last modified in 4.3.
    Actually there is a workaround.
    If you open the file in Pages 5, it can then be exported on Pages 0.9 format to another folder. I had to do this as the document was only in iCloud and couldn't be recoverd by Time Machine.
    Worked for me!

  • How do I change the default font in Comments?

    I'm a professor and I grade papers with the Pages' Comments feature. I would like to change the default font and font size for Comments when doing Tracking so that my comments consistently use the same font and font size no matter what font the student has used in their paper. The only way I can do that now is to change each individual comment. Is there a way to do that globally? Thanks!

    I apologize but I know that this question was asked and answered several times (I wrote the answers).
    So, taking time to search in the existing threads with a request like :

  • How do I change the default map to one that works. Apple maps nearly killed me today in Leicester as it tried to take me down 2 pedestrian areas, 1 no entry and told me to do a u turn about 6 times at no u turn junctions.

    Need to change default map on iphone. The default maps app is dangerous - it wanted to take me down pedestrian areas and through no entries whilst trying to navigate in Leicester. It needs to be removed from my phone as it is a hazard. I clicked on a link in an email and the maps app was opened and so I used it to navigate. Big mistake. This app is a serious hazard!

    I don't really want to get into a long debate here, but just to put in some background info. I travel a lot in the uk and have done for many years. For the last couple of years I have used either Nav free or waze as sat nav maps on my iphone. Whilst there has been some errors, they have been useable - and of course you have to use your common sense whilst using them.
    On this occasion someone emailed an address to me in Leicester. I wanted to drive from on point in Leicester to this address that has been emailed to me. I clicked on the address in the email and it defaulted to the apple maps and plotted a route. It was about 1 mile away and told me it would take about 8 mins.
    This was the worse journey I have experienced with a 'sat nav' - it tried to take me through 2 pedestrian areas and 1 no entry in that short journey. Clearly I didn't go I. The pedestrian areas or turn into the one way. However, the apple. Aps persisted to try and make me take these route, and I. The process kept urging me to take a u turn where it was clearly sign posted that it was illegal to do so.
    In the end, I pulled over and switched to Waze - it directed me straight to my destination without any errors.
    The point is, I am not talking about a mistake in the middle of no where. This is a major city in the UK - and fairly central ie near the city centre.
    Generally I love Apple products and don't knock them as a company.
    The original question was genuine- can I change the default mapping app so that I don't end up using the apple maps app again. It was a disaster like nothing I have seen before.
    I now know that the answer is no.
    Apple clearly need to sort this out.

  • How do I change the default file saving type

    I have seen this question all over the web, but none of the answers I have found apply to my version of Photoshop (CS5).
    I want to change the default file type when I save files.  I don't want PSD or PDF, I want PNG.
    I want to hit CTRL + SHIFT + S like normal, but I don't want to select PNG from the drop-down menu when I go to name my items.
    I don't want to create an action for each file I work with - I want this to be a default setting change across all of photoshop on every file.
    Any help?  Adobe has been of zero assistance.

    I have already tried the "Actions" method - which is glitchy in and of itself!
    What I am doing is very simple - I am making photo slide shows.  I create a new file that is 1920 x 1280 (the size of my display) and then I open 100+ images.  I copy and paste each image into the 1920x1280 file so that all images display the same on my screen when I run the slides.  I re-size and adjust the position of each image so it appears how I want.
    So I copy and paste my first image into the 1920x1280 canvas and then hit F2 (the button I applied the save as PNG action to).  It saves the file.  Then I copy and paste another image into the file and hit F2.  Rather than creating a new file (or even a copy) Photoshop writes over the last file I made.  YAY!  More wasted time!
    It blows my mind that a function as simple as "Change default file type" is missing from such an expensive, accredited program.  How can their software engineers overlook something that hundreds of other people (like me) have posted a need for online?  Something so simple?  Andy why is it my job now to learn how to do scripting for Photoshop to add in a feature that should be standard?  Is that why I pay $50 a month for this software or why I bought CS5 outright for more than $1000?
    So that's what I am trying to do - make a slide show where each image is exactly the same size.  It seems the only option Adobe gives me is "WASTE MORE OF YOUR TIME"

  • How can I change the default pdf reader from the installed (but not yet registered) Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to Adobe Reader XI?

    How can I change the default pdf reader from the installed (but not yet registered) Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to Adobe Reader XI? I'm having some hiccups getting Adobe to register the software, but since I set it as the default .pdf reader during setup, things try (and fail) to open in the as yet unregistered software. How can I change it temporariiy to the Acrobat Reader XI that I have installed?

    Anubha,
    It worked! Thank you so much.
    I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
    but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default
    program...', it worked like a charm.
    Again, thank you!

  • Can you change the default font in an iPad mail account?

    I suspect you can't, but just checking: can you change the default font in an iPad mail account?

    There is no way to change the default font in the mail app. You can make the type larger by using the accessibility feature of larger text. Settings>General>Accessibility>Larger Text. There is an app that allows you to add fonts to the iPad, but I do not think this works with the built in iOS apps such as mail.
    You can check it out.

    I have created a form that contains fields with default text for a user to update/personalize.  Is there a way to style the text so I can quickly identify changes to default text in a field?

    George - Thanks you so much!  Actually, i'd love for the text color to be red font color.  Could you send me the script for that? And I assume I just copy and paste the script into the field properties (see screenshot)?
    thanks again!

  • Change the default font in Pages (version 5.0.1)?

    Overall I really like the changes to the iWork suite but an annoying feature is that all new documents in Pages seem to have the font set to Helvetica 11. Everything I need Pages for requires me to use Times New Roman 12, and I work in Pages all day. Everytime I create a new document, I have to change it from Helvetica 11 to Times New Roman 12. I've looked for how to change the default but I don't see it. Any help here?
    Many thanks in advance,
