Change scale legend programatically?

Is there any way to change the scale legend programattically? I have a graph with two plots and two y-scales. I won't know if the second plot refers to the first or second scale until run-time. I'd like to adjust the scale legend appropriately. I can hide the scale on the graph and associate the plots with the correct scales. I cannot, however, find any way to turn off the display of the second scale in the scale legend. The only thing I can seem to do is turn the visibility of the scale legend on or off entirely.

You can programmatically modify the scale legend, some properties in LV 6 and 7, however in 8, most of that functionality was taken out. Now you can only choose to show all of the legend or none of it, you can do this programmatically, but there is not a function to let you control only some legends at a time.

Just use a property node for the graph and change "Yscale.namelabel.text", for example as in the image:

Changing Chart Legend Title

How do I change a legend title? I created a bar chart using the chart wizard, and the legend title was taken from the name of the column appearing on the Y-axis. I changed the axis label, but this change was not propagated to the legend title. Is there anyway to change the legend title, either directly or through PL/SQL?

Oracle Graphics allows for the direct access to any object within a Chart via PL/SQL. This can be done either through a number of built-ins or even by traversing the Chart's Object Heirarchy (VGS tree) By getting the handle to the label object it is possible to directly change the text. The Reports Team is correct in that it cannot be done directly from within the Reports Builder (though may be passed as a parameter at run time). Instead create an OPEN_DISPLAY trigger in the Oracle Graphics Builder for the OGD which takes the desired text as a parameter.
There are examples of getting the handle to a chart opject in the demos & documentation.

How to programmatically change plot legend

I have a chart on which I'll plot one or more signals. I can't predict
the signal names in advance so I'd like to programmatically change the
legend(s). Is there a way to do that in LV 6.1?

Yes.
- Create a property node for the chart
- add elements for "Active Plot" and "Plot -> Plot Name"
- Wire an index of the plot name you want to change to "ActPlot"
- Wire an string with the new name to "Plot.Name"
A simple implementation would be to make an array of new names and then auto-index a for loop with the increment counter tied to "ActPlot".

[Bug?] Defer Panel Update not working when changing scale property

Hi,
I found that Defer Panel Update [when True] does not work properly when changing the scale fit property of an intensity graph.
Try the VI.
When Defer Panel Update is True, and you change the Numeric controls, the Intensity graph is not updated (as expected).
But now change the "Z Scale.Scale Fit" button and.... the Intensity graph is updated (only the Z-color, not the axis).
This looks to be a bug to me!

Changing scale basis in purchase Info record

In info record I want to change the scale basis from D: Quantity Base to G formula based . But system is not allowing me to make the necessary changes .

this can be done by changing the scale basis in pricing procedure , which is Field is reflecting from Condition Type PB00 Only
.if you Want to Change scale Basis from D to G. You Should change the m/06 Condition type -->Scales , there you have to Change the scale basis from D to G.

Changing scale on Dual Axis on Illustrator Graph

Looking for some assistance on changing the scale when you have a dual axis, but only on one side. I can select the entire graph and change the left and right axis. However even when I select only one line (via the legend) I cannot just change one side. Appreciate any assistance....thanks

I have seen this happening on a PowerPivot workbook in which the selected option had no value, which triggered the chart to lose its configuration. This is a bug, though I would argue is a bug in the Pivot Charts and not in PowerPivot itself.
The solution I used was to remove the slicer option that yields no value (in your case it would be NA), so the user can only select valid combinations that retrieve a numeric output.

IE11 in Windows 8.1 changes scale when moving window between screens

I'm using Windows 8.1 with IE11 on a Dell Latitude E6510 with an external LG screen. I use both screens in my daily work and when I move a IE11 window from the internal screen in my laptop to the external LG screen, the scaling in IE11 changes and gets smaller.
It happens when the windows is halfway over to the external screen. On the way back it changes again and gets bigger. I've use the "One scaling for all my screens" in the Control Panel|Display applet without success. It's only IE11 that has this
behaviour, no other programs does this.

I agree with Robert Aldwinckle .
In addition, Windows 8.1 definitely seems to be doing some automatic display scaling here, as has been rumored based on beta builds of the OS.
The first option is for multiple monitors with different ppi. windows will choose for you based on what the ppi is. use trial and error until you get the size you want and both monitors will be about that size. if they are close in ppi it will not scale
them differently because I am pretty sure it only chooses from the default scaling sizes.

How to change the legend value in graph OBIEE

I have 2 columns A and B are measure columns.
How can I change "A" and "B" in the legend of my vertical bar graph to "LIA" and "ASSET", without changing the A,B name in my subject area.

Hi,
You can set Axis titles (Vertical Axis & Horizontal Axis) from Graph Properties --> Titles and Labels --> Axis Titles. In case of multiple columns on the access you will be seeing Vertical Axis 1 and Vertical Axis 2.

Can't Change Scale in 1 Frame Without Artifacts

I need to "cut" from a close up to a wide shot in After Effects. So at one frame the scene is scaled to 300% and at the next frame it is scaled to 100%. When I play the rendered avi in Premiere Pro, you can see a jump between frames. This is interlaced video that I need to match the rest of the video so please do not suggest I deinterlace, and please do not suggest that I do the cut in another program. I just want to know if it's possible in AE CS3.

You're seeing the animation between 300% and 100% in one field. Change the first keyframe to a Hold keyframe to create an instantaneous shift from one value to the other.
Alternately, don't use keyframes at all and split the layer into two layers with discreet scale values.

How to turn multiple tracks into one element for changing scale

I've created an image out of a number of video tracks in my motion timeline. When I try to change the scale of all the parts, they change but remain the same distance apart so the pieces break apart in my viewer. I've tried making a clone and this solved this aspect of the problem but now my write on behavior that draws the image on does not occur. Is there a way to get around these two issues and create a scalable image that can perform write on behaviors? Thanks in advance and happy new year!

Ah, nevermind! I think I may have solved the issue myself. It seems if you click on the Group tab to the left of the main timeline as opposed to the clip within the timeline, it allows you to change the group and scale it while also keeping different elements together. Could be helpful for anyone with a similar question.

Cannot change chart legend data

I am modifying an existing document and changing chart data in the data editor window. The resulting pie chart is accurate but the legend show the old data. I've deleted it and turned off/on the Show Legend selection and still the data does not match the chart. Any ideas ?

XY graph position changes when legend position is set!.

Hello All.
Try the example in attachment. When I change the position of the graph legend, the position of the total graph is changed!!! Or maybe I am doing something wrong?

Hi Pawell,
the Position property returns the top left coordinates of the front panel object including its related objects.
If you place the legend above the graph, the Y coordinates refers to the upper position of the legend box rectangle; this is why if you move the legend up and down, the graph position value changes although you are not moving the plot area.
Ask if I haven't been clear enough.
