Change swatch color inside swatch dialog box

In other words, say you have a PMS 485 swatch loaded in your palette and you want to change that swatch to PMS 286, it would be nice if you could double click on the 485 swatch and change the color from a drop-down menu, etc.

I've always done this with a Pantone colour guide at hand.
So if you've got a swatch of Pantone 485 (CMYK=0.97.100.0), just double-click on the swatch to get the CMYK reading Alter the name to Pantone 286 and alter the CMYK values to 100.66.0.2. Then everything that was red 485 will change to blue 286.
It's best not to import a new swatch of 286 while you have 485 running - if you do you will have to use Select Same Fill and Select Same Stroke and alter the colours from one swatch to the other with the accompanying danger of missing something.

Putting an applet window inside a dialog box

I am relatively new to Java, and have recently been introduced to swing and applets. Is it possible to put an applet window inside a dialog box? If this is a dumb question, I apologize in advance.

As camickr pointed out, you cannot do this directly. Depending on what you want, you could do one of the following:
Start the applet and let the applet create a JFrame in wich the rest of the applet's operations can be displayed
Run the applet in Sun's appletviewer (note that this won't work in browsers).

How do I change the color of a Photo Box?

I'm new to Aperture, but I'm impressed with the customization abilities of the Photo Book compared to iPhoto. I want to be able to do a couple things: change the color of the Photo Box, and possibly change the Photo Box style (one book layout in particular makes the Photo Boxes look like a photo on the page, complete with shadow).
Can anyone help with one, or both issues?

Some quick help would be really appreciated...

Change UIbutton color inside UITableViewCell

I have a simple problem ... but its turning into a very difficult problem .. i have a button inside uitableviewcell and want to change its color through code .... i could aceive it by changing its background image. But its kinna hazy ... its not the solid color ... and when i use [cell.button setBackgroundColor:[UIcolor redColor]] ... the button color does not change ...

In my application I have a NSTimer which calls every 2 sec. a method which should change the color of the button. I would be also happy if the display blinks red and normal...

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

Illustrator CS5 Changing dot lpi and angle dialog box not opening

Hello! I am having trouble with Illustrator CS5 changing the dot lpi and angle. I have my problem typed out below the image. Please help if you can! Thank you!

You could also save yourself a lot of work by creating an ink template .ait with all of the angle/frequency values preset.
1) Simply create a new document, size the artboard to your typical size and create a series of color chips (squares) each colored with one of your typical inks. It looks like you're doing t-shirt seps so you probably have about 20 or so inks you use all the time.
2) Go into the print settings and set all of their angle and frequency values and click done.
3) Choose File->Save As Template (you can delete the color chips if you want at this point, the swatches will remain)
Now whenever you start a new document, choose File -> New From Template
Any new artwork you create can be colored with the existing swatches and you'll find the angle / frequency settings are already set.

I am try to change the color of a photo box when making a book.
Will the box print? and if so how can I change the color

The box will print... but there is no way to just assign a color to a box. The closest you can get is ot create a small solid colored image in Photoshop and assign that to the box. You may get a resolution warning but as long as it's a solid color it does not matter how few pixels you have.

How to change color inside single item? [SOLVED]

I'd like to change background color inside item (on blue for ex.: see http://www.marussig.si/weblib/screen.jpg ) . The problem is that the block is multiline block but I have to change the color just on one line in one column. Is this possible? If I use set_item_propery syntaks, the whole item changes the color what I don't want to do.

hey guys how can i change the color inside a mask? i mean when i trace a mask with rectangle selection i have the yellow border and inside i hve in example the black color if i want to hide something
how can i make the color inside in example white and not black?

First of all you need to understand what is going on when you apply a mask.
Mask cuts hole in a layer (guess, proper word to your current mask settings is 'Subtract').
If the footage on which you apply the mask is a single layer in your composition, you see the composition background in the 'hole'.
Therefore, you can either change your composition background colour or place a solid with desired colour below your footage.
If the footage is not the only layer in a composition, but you still want to see some solid colour inside a hole, whereas other things on a background remain preserved, you can e.g. duplicate your footage with mask, replace lower instanse with a solid (painted to your favourite colour) and invert 'Subtract' to 'Add'.

Hello, I have a webutil dialog box to open a file on a server in Win2003.
I want edit and save the changes in a file into dialog box, but i don't have this function like windows operation system.
Can i customize the webutil dialog box and add this function ?

As I said, the Webutil open/save dialog functions will only allow you to work with the client machine.
You can use the file_transfert_AS_to_client() Webutil function to get the file on the client machine then edit it, then use the file_transfert.client_to_AS() function to upload the new file on the Application Server.

In Snow Leopard I used to drag things in dialog boxes.
For example, a software ask me to browse a file, usually I was dragging it inside the dialog box to set the path,
instead of browse it manually.
Is this feature still on OS X Lion ?

Declare a GUI status for the ALV.
In the GUI status, define an OK code for the F6 key.
In the form for processing ALV user commands, if it is this OK code, display your dialog box.
There are function modules for dialog boxes, but perhaps the neatest here would be another ALV.
