Change workitem text using PFTC in ECC for Task TS20000172 – release contract

Hello,
I would like step by step guidance on changing the worklist item description for Task ID TS20000172. Currently the contract goes for approval and the worklist item reads “Release of Contract 4600000000”. How can I add the value of the contract in the worklist text? I looked in transaction PFTC, Container tab but could not find the variable ‘Value?’. Please advise?

The Base object (_WI_Object_ID - Leading Object) in the this task is of type BUS2014.
1) Create a subtype of BUS2014 and do the delegation between the two. (This will enable new attributes to be referenced directly using BUS2014.

2) Create a new virtual attribute in that subtype which calculates the value of the contract

Hi all,
We have to change some workitem texts adding Shopping cart number. We have changed some of them successfully but we have 2 of them where Shopping Cart Number is not available:
Task 14007938 - Present Changes to Creator
Task 10407972 - Change Rejected Shopping Cart
It is strange because structure REQ is available but Shopping cart number field is not available.
Do you know if there is any other way to do that? I am looking also for OSS notes...

Program exit to change workitem text

Hi All,
I have a requirement to change work item text at runtime, i am using program exit to change the task contrainer variable which is being used to display work item text. i have written a code in program exit to update container element, but it's not reflected to change workitem text, when i check in ln workflow log the variable shows with updated value.
Please help to solve issue.

I used below code to update container element.
CASE im_event_name.
     WHEN swfco_event_after_creation.
        CLEAR l_value.
       CALL METHOD l_wi_cont->get
         EXPORTING
           name = 'LV_WITEXT'
         IMPORTING
           value = l_value.
         REPLACE '$' INTO l_value WITH lv_id.
       CALL METHOD l_wi_cont->set
         EXPORTING
           name = 'LV_WITEXT'
           value = l_value.
With above code LV_WITEXT is updated with new value, but same is not displayed as workitem text in inbox.
After workitem displayed in inbox if i use FM SWL_REFRESH_WORKITEM_TEXT explicitly to refresh, workitem text getting refreshed.

I noticed that is possible to change workitem text in process controlled workflow, but i need to inser a field that is not available in the workflow container. Is there any exit available in the workflow or is compulsory to change standard workflow to perform this modification ?

Can you change rollover text in the same slice for different triggers?

Hi, I haven't used Fireworks since version 3, which was about 6 years ago, when I dabbled in web development. My past has come back to haunt me, and I need to make a fairly simple website pretty quickly for my boss. I've got myself CS4, and now that I've figured out that you can't use buttons for disjoint rollovers, I'm starting to make progress...
What I want to achieve, is that there are 6 'buttons' on my page, which when you rollover them will display text in a box to the side. I would use separate boxes for each button, but there isn't enough space on the page, as there is quite a lot of text, so I would like to use a box in the same place to display any of the 6 texts, depending on which button is rolled over. Can this be done?
I probably haven't quite got my head round layers, and this may be very simple, but could someone please point me in the right direction, even if it is a link to the right bit on product help?
Because the button disjoint rollover doesn't work, I have created 6 slices for the triggers. I tried hotspots first, but couldn't use them as I also want a rollover live filter effect on the trigger.

Yes, you can trigger different slice contents on rollover from multiple other slices.
It's easier to show than describe, so here is a sample file that does what I think you're looking for:
(1) six buttons
(2) each button has unique text
(3) each button has a rollover state
(4) unique text is displayed in the same place for each button on rollover

How to change component / actual used material during MIGO for Suncontract

We have below scenario, need your expert help...
1) As per BoM Material A- is produced from Mat B.
2) Sub-contact Order is created with Mat A and Mat B is sent to Vendor with Mov type 541.
3) In few cases Mat A can be produced with Mat C / mat D etc
4) Now at the time of MIGO..we will come to know that which mat is used .
Question: - Can I change component material at the time of MIGO. I mean can change component material from Mat-B to Mat C etc.

Hello Rajesh,
You need to change the component in Purchase order (ME22N). there is not separate table for this.
- Go to ME22N transaction
- Select the line item for final product
- Go to Material tab and click on "Component" at rightside
- Add new material number here
- You can keep old material or delete it.

Change the text of the personalization option for English language

We would like to change the spelling of how the personalize option on the tray is showed in English. I guess there must be some kind of localization file somewhere, but I cannot find it.
I tried searching for "com.sap.portal.iview.ShowPersonalize", and found reference to some java classes, but have not been able to find which jar-file.
Do anyone have a tip where I can look for it? Or if this is a good idea?

The personalize option is shown in the masthead.
To Change the spelling of it we need to change the masthead par file. 
 
1) Deploy the masthead par file into the NWDS(take the original par and rename it for saftey reason then deploy it.) 
 
2) to change the spelling simply open the file headeriView_nls_en.properties and edit the value of PERSONALIZE_TEXT. 
 
3) Deploy it into the portal and create an iview for it, then add this iview to the framework page make the old masthead iview disable and change the layout like moving the new iview to the place of original masthead iview.
 
4)refresh the browser.

I have following 3 different databases.
Oracle7 Server Release 7.3.4.4.0
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bit
I want to access these databases using single oracle home. Please advise which client version I have to install to access these. I tried using Oracle Release 9.2.0.1.0 client but I am not able to connect to oracle 7 by using this.I am ready to have multiple oracle homes.But what client version I have to install and where can I get it.Your help will be highly appreciated.

How to use the mergemodules available for the new release for VS 2010

The new CR has been released and also the merge modules.
I can download the mergemodules and extract them to a folder.
I have no documentation included and we are wondering which merge modules we need to make a setup for our webapplication.

I'm not sure what the confusion is.
When you download the CRforVS_mergemodules_13_0.zip file from:
http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_mergemodules_13_0.zip
You get CRRuntime_13_0.msm. This is the English runtime. If your app will support other languages at runtime, you add the appropriate language msm. E.g.; German, you'd add CRRuntime_13_0_de.msm. The language dlls are all included in the same folder as the CRRuntime_13_0.msm. One other msm is CRRuntime_13_0_maps.msm. This msm is only required if you are
using the Map Info feature.

Dispaly of the output message for the not released contract

Hi, all,
Is there a possibility, for buyers (conract creators), to display an output message for the purchasing contract, which is subject to a release procedure, but has not been released yet. Acctually it is possible to do it in ME35K, by indicating the relevant release code and pressing "print preview" after executing the report. But it is not a way out, since buyers are not participating in release procedure and therefore do not have a releasecode.

How do I change the text on a label for a SAP delivered WD view

Hi,
I need to change the text that is being displayed for a label in a SAP delivered WD ABAP View. When I look at the properties for this label, the Text property is currently empty, so I assume that the text that is being displayed in the view is coming from the dictionary. I was hoping to change the text of the label via the Enhancement Framework. I created an OTR entry, then went into SE80 for the WD Component, I navigated to the view in question, I pressed the Enhance button and entered $OTR:<package>/<alias name> in the text property for the label. Finally I saved and activated and was prompted to create an Enhancement Implementation, which I did and I selected it. Everything seems to be fine (no errors or warnings). I then ran the WD application. My change was not there. I then went back into SE80 for the WD Component that I created the enhancement. I navigated to the View and looked in the text property of the label and saw that my change was not there. I repeated this process several times and each time when I added the OTR entry to the text property of the label, it saves and activates without issue (in enhancement mode), but when I run the WD App the change does not show up and when I go back to the WD View, my change to the text property is gone. I know that if I really wanted to I could register the object and add the OTR entry to the text attribute of the label, but I am trying to perform this change using a modification free enhancement. Can this be done via an Enhancement, or do I have to register the object and make my change using a modification?

excellent question. I had the same problem as well before.
What I have learned is that you cannot change a UI Element via Enhancements.
You can add new UI Elements (e.g. new label) or remove existing elements, but you cannot change them (except the layout properties (e.g. colspan) maybe).
The only possibilities I see is
1. Remove the existing label, and add a new label with your desired text
2. Do it as a modification
3. Do it as a configuration (This means you go to the webdynpro application in SE80, right click and select "Create/Change Configuration)
4. Do it as customizing (This means you add the URL parameter sap-config-mode=X to the URL, navigate to the label, right click on it, and select "Change Settings for Current Configuration").
The disadvatages of 3) and 4) are
- texts in configurations and customizing are not translatable (as far as I know)
- if you have multiple configurations, you have to change the label multiple times

BBP_SC_CHANGE
Here you could use the Changing Parameter
CT_LONGTEXT
The table contains 2 important fields:
TDID, where you can identify the type of text, in your case this should be ITXT for standard shopping carts (vendor text within positions)
TDLINE: which contains the text
You are now able to change the vendor text directly within this BAdi with standard ABAP methods.

How to redefine workitem text

Hi,
I want to redefine the workitem text of a standard SAP task (Task 10008212, check shopping cart in SRM). Using the transaction pftc_dis I changed the work item text and I can see only the redefined customer text when I display this task again.
But the issue the workitem text change is not reflecting in the workitems for shopping carts.
Can someone please let me know if this is the correct way to add a customer definition for a work item text.

Hi,
I followed the following procedure:
1) Translation of f the task work item text (translation with SE63, transport object with key R3TR PDTS, ex: R3TR PDTS 91000031)
2) Imported to production the missing translation (transport order created using SLXT)
3) For the existing workitems I changed manually, using LSMW, the text using transaction SWI1; Edit -> display workitem ; goto -> technical workitem display; Edit -> Change; execute "Change workitem text

I use SRM Server5.5. (Classic scenario)
I want to change the text of inbox.
We have the following process for GR.
1. Vendor request confirmation (GR) in SRM.
2. Approver approves the confirmation on approval menu.
As you know that standard text is Approve Confirmation no. 1000000166 from Local vendor test in approval list.
Approve confirmation no. <Confirmation number> from <vendor name>.
I think that confirmation number and vendor name are variable.
I want to change this text such like Approve GR for PO no. <PO number> from <vendor name>
How can I change this text of inbox?
Is there any BADI or function?

But Approver can see the text " Approve GR For PO number"
But i go to BBP_PD, I can see the worlflow text " Approval GR for PO number from VENDOR2"
