Changes in events calendar

Hello I download this event calendar.
I try to change starting week from Mondays by changing this: firstDay = firstDate.getDay() + 7;and retyping days in function createCalendar()
But after that is not green marked present day. It is but in 2009 year.
I try to change also this: firstDate = new Date(String(monthNum)+"/0/"+String(yearNum));but it is the same.
Could some one help me. How to change calendar to starting weeks from mondays and left marking present day?

  • Why did you change the event calendar?

    I updated my phone and now I can only have one alert on my calendar for an event. I was putting in an event and having an alert one day before and then one hour before. Why did you change it?

    Just FYI, "we" didn't change anything. You're not communicating with Apple when you post here, and you will not get a response from them. We're all just fellow users.

  • Can I switch calendars (Ex. "night shift" to "day shift" cal) with a repeating event, but ONLY for that one event??  It asks "for all events or only this event" if i change the time.  But it changes ALL events when i try and switch calendars.  Any help??

    I have 2 calendars set up for my work schedule, a "night shift" and "day shift" calendar.  I've set up repeating events fro Fri/Sat/Sun 3-11pm "night shifts" and Mon/Tues 7am-3pm "day shifts".  But lets say for example that I swap shifts and instead of working nights on Saturday like I normally would, I am now working days.  I want to change that in my calendar.  When I go to change the event, if i change the TIME it asks if i want to change all event or ONLY this event.  no problem....just this single event.  but when i go to change the event from the "night shift" calendar to the "day shift" calendar, it changes ALL the repeating events, and not just that one single event.   can anyone help with this???  am i doing something wrong?  is there a way to do this or not with the new iCal program???  i used to do this and never had any problems.    Thank you!

    You need to follow iPhoto terms since we only know what you tell us
    what are you calling folders - in iPhoto folders can not hold photos - albums hold photos and folders hold albums or other folders
    The basic default view of photo is by event (iPhoto '08 and later)
    Exactly what you you trying to do?

  • ICal: Changing the assigned calendar of an event sends out a new invite to all participants

    iCal version 5.0.3:
    I have multiple accounts set up (iCloud, shared, Exchange) in iCal.
    I've noticed that when I receive an invite that is assigned to the wrong calendar (e.g. to my icloud calendar) and I then change the assigned calendar to the Exchange calendar, iCal actually sends an invite to all the attendees with me as the organizer of the event!
    Instead of just changing the assigned calendar in my iCal, it creates a new invite on the new calendar from me to all the invitees.
    This seems to be new behaviour (bug) in version 5, as I can't remember this happening in earlier versions. It stopped being funny when it just did this with a company-wide HR event to all employees
    My default calendar is set to the Exchange account, but iCal seems to ignore that ever so often when adding new invites
    Any ideas on how to prevent this, or do i have to wait for an update to iCal?

    Hi Chris,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
    I often do the same thing (ie create an event in the wrong calendar). Are you aware that the assigned calendar appears in the info pane. You could simply select the correct calendar there, even reassign events.
    I understand the desire to do this with Quickeys, though I suspect very few people here use Quickeys. So if you don't get an answer here I'd suggest you consider the Quickeys forum: http://forum.cesoft.com/

  • Changing the Event View Field Display Order on a Calendar

    We'd like to change the display of a calendar event to show the Title on top and the time below. This is how it currently looks below. Is there a way to change it?
    Orange County District Attorney

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to change the Event View Field display order on a Calendar.
    You need to insert the code below into a Content Editor Web Part.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function changeCalendarOrder() {
    $(".ms-acal-sdiv").each(function () {
    var arr = $(this).find('div').toArray();
    var temp;
    temp = arr[0];
    arr[0] = arr[2];
    arr[2] = temp;
    $(this).html(arr);
    //alert($(this).html());
    _spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push('calendarEventLinkIntercept');
    // hook into the existing SharePoint calendar load function
    function calendarEventLinkIntercept() {
    var OldCalendarNotify4a = SP.UI.ApplicationPages.CalendarNotify.$4b;
    SP.UI.ApplicationPages.CalendarNotify.$4b = function () {
    OldCalendarNotify4a();
    changeCalendarOrder();
    </script>
    The result is as below:

  • After Mavericks upgrade, I disabled iCloud / iCal connection. Now I can't make any changes to my calendar

    I had multiple bad experiences with my iPhone using iCloud and when I upgraded, realized too late, that my computer was now going to be tied to the Cloud. After I recovered from the stress-induced, post-tramatic syndrome from my iPhone / iCloud experience, and verifying that I would not lose all my calendar entries, I disabled the Calendar connection for iCloud in System Preferences. Checked around iCal and nothing looked amiss.
    Then I went to schedule a new event. Right click, the New Event window pops up and before I have the opportunity to type, a window pops up with this message: "There was an error saving calendar data. Calendar encountered a critical error while saving to the database, and recent changes may be lost. More information may be available in the console."
    And left in my calendar is an entry called "New Event" that I cannot edit (I've tried using the menu as well as clicking). I tried deleting the event with this window popping up: "You can't change events in the "Home" calendar. Only the calendar administrator and any delegates with permission can make changes to read-only calendars. To make changes to the calendar, contact the calendar administrator."
    Me, I'm the calendar administrator and sole owner & user of this computer. Theoretically, "Home" should be me, not, as I suspect, some evil remnant of the Cloud sticking around to haunt me.
    Question #1 ??? How do I fix this without connecting to iCloud again
    Question #2 What is the console and where do I find the information referenced?
    Question #3 How do I make myself the administrator, especially when I thought I already was the administrator?
    Thank you.
    I'm on a MacBook Pro OSX Version 10.9.2

    Nevermind. After digging around some more in the Support community, I tried restarting my computer. Problem solved. After the mess iCloud made of my iPhone, it didn't occur to me that the fix would be something so simple for my computer.

  • Cannot change "New Event" to an event name in iCal

    For several days whenever I enter a new event in iCal I can put in all the information (times, etc.), but it will not allow me to change "New Event" that appears at the top to the name of the event.  So I have several events now called "New Event," and I have to actually indicate the name of the event in the "note" section.  This is very problematic, because the "note" section doesn't show up until I click on the event.  Has anyone else had this problem and/or know of a solution?  This is my first time to ask a question, so I hope I did it right.

    Before we conclude that iCal is broken (which requires an OS reinstall to resolve) lets test in a new user account to see if iCal works there:
    1.) Create a new user account on the Mac: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
    2.) Go to Apple > Log Out
    3.) Login to the new user and test iCal
    If the same issue occurs in the new user then iCal should indeed be reinstalled:
    1.) Backup your Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553
    2.) Reinstall your OS: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8177.html
    If the new user works then we know iCal is fine, its the data in your user:
    Troubleshooting:
    1.) Backup all your data:
    Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html
    Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966
    Backup your calendars on MobileMe.
    Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4226
    Go to "backing up data" and then "Backing up from me.com/calendar"
    2.) Reset the computer's sync services and then restart the computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
    3.) Test iCal

  • Invitation Error: Only the Organizer can change this event

    After doing a clean install of Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro, I was getting the following error when trying to edit some iCal events:
    Invitation Error: Only the Organizer can change this event
    The iCal events that I couldn't edit had all been ones where I had sent invitations to someone else. When I double clicked them to attempt to edit them, I received a popup that would allow me to accept/decline the event, but not edit it. I noticed in the popup that it had the email address of the original invitee plus my own email address. I'm sure that my own email address wasn't there before.
    I took a look at "My Card" in address book and it only had my name and no email addresses.
    After the install I had synced iCal and Address Book with MobileMe. The sync said there was a conflict with my Address Book entry and I accepted the one from MobileMe, thinking I hadn't put anything in the one on my laptop yet anyway. I ended up with the original of my Address book entry, but not marked as "my card" and an entry with just my name marked as "my card".
    When I merged the two cards and made sure the resulting card was marked as my card, I could then edit the iCal events. I think it was the fact that "my card" now had my MobileMe / .Mac email address in it that allowed me to edit the iCal events.
    So if you're having this problem editing events, check your My Card in Address Book and make sure it has the appropriate email addresses in it.

    PS - There was an earlier post with this topic, but it didn't mention this solution. I would've replied to that post but it had been archived and replies were not allowed.

    I have found a way around this. If you drag the event to your desktop, it will create an .ics file. If you open this file in TextEdit, you can delete the line that begins with ORGANIZER:. Save the file and bring it back into iCal. iCal will now assume you are the organizer, allowing you to edit. You may also want to delete the other attendees in TextEdit, as iCal will also want to send updates if you make changes to the file (because it thinks you're the organizer making changes to your own calendar event).
    This isn't an ideal solution, but it lets you make the edits. Hopefully Apple will change this in a future Leopard update or in Snow Leopard.

  • Why do I get the spinning beach ball when I try to change from Events to Photos.  How do I fix it?

    Why do I get the spinning beach ball when I try to change from Events to Photos.  How do I fix it?

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Unhappy With Change To the Calendar With iOS7!

    I am very unhappy with the change to the calendar since I updated to iOS7! It took away the ability to change a previously entered all day event to a start &amp; finish time! I am a single parent with three kids &amp; live by my calendar! I put all day events in my calendar as placeholders until I know the times! I can no longer do this with the update, which means that I have to enter a new event each time that I finally get the start time for my kids' events! I am on very limited time and now have an extra step to add to my busy life! Please let me know if I am missing something and there is still a way to do this or suggest an app that will function in a way that makes sense to people with busy lives that just want to update events rather than have to completely re-enter them! Thank you!

    I just checked my IPad, first generation. It is only updated to iOS5.1.1, but I can see all my calendar events! I will never give it up!!!
    Well, that's good that you're happy as the original iPad can't be upgraded beyond iOS 5.1.1.
    Best of luck.

  • Why can't I change invited event times?

    The idea that "only the organizer can change this event" -- which is the error message I get when I try to move a meeting created in my calendar by email invitation -- is completely broken from a usability perspective. Let me explain.
    I accepted a meeting yesterday for 3:00 today. Earlier today, I got a phone call saying the meeting had been pushed half an hour later, so I flipped to iCal to adjust my calendar. And it won't let me. In order to do so, I'll need to delete and recreate the item, which is just silly.
    It's also silly to lock down any data in MY calendar. It's mine, after all; I should be allowed to move or change anything in it. Pop up a warning if I'm tweaking something I've subscribed to, or changing an invited meeting, but don't force me to do extra work to accommodate a normal business scheduling event.

    Check out the Sorting options in the View menu. Manua sorting is possible in Albums. If you can't do then try trash the
    Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
    For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
    Why the Limitation?
    Events aredesigned for people who don't want to organise. They are fully automatic, based on the time and date the photo was taken. The point where you want to manually organise them is the point where you've outgrown them, and need the much more flexible structures offered by Albums, Smart Albums and keywording.

  • Multiple Event Calendars on One Page

    I have several event calendars  on a webpage that are broken down by categories (IE: {module_calendar,48,c,94584} ). When I do this only the first calendar on the page will change dates. The other calendars won't change the date.
    Is there a way to fix this? Is this intended behavior or a bug?
    Note: I would provide the page but it is within a secure zone that charges a membership thus I cannot post access to it publicly.

  • Changing repeating events

    I've been trying to set up a monthly event where the event is at 8am on the 25th, at the latest, but avoids Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and UK public holidays. I thought that the least worst way would be to set up an alarmed monthly event for 8am on the 25th and then go through the calendar and, where necessary, drag the event back a few days.
    Two things puzzle me.
    1. Only the first of the monthly events shows under "All Future Events". Is this normal, and will the one shown just automatically update to the next event, each month?
    2. More seriously, when I drag a future event from, say, the 25th to the 22nd of the month, although it drags - and then indicates ( in the Edit Event dialog) that it will alarm at 0 minutes, and that the event is now dated for the 22nd - come the 22nd it doesn't alarm.
    Any thoughts?
    Edit: I now have somehow got to the situation where under "All Future Events", my event is shown as to occur on the 25th October (i.e. in three days time), but does not appear in the calendar pane. Help!!

    This is incredibly frustrating for me too!
    I have a repeated monthly event for a discount at a store that is offered on the first Tuesday of every month. So I have a repeated event taking place on the 1st of every month. In the previous month I reset next month's date from the 1st to whatever date falls on the first Tuesday.
    But ever since upgrading to Yosemite, I am experiencing the same problem as the original person who posted. The date saves on my calendar but does not sync to my iCloud. When I reboot the computer, the date reverts back to the 1st.
    I'm thankful I don't have any events that needed to be tracked because ALL of my previous changes in the past have reverted back to the 1st of the month. I would have been in the same terrible situation as yaz999 in having to manually change every event in previous months.
    Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet???!!!

  • Simple Event Calendar View?

    I have looked everywhere for a simple php event calendar to
    view an existing tasks/events MySQL table.
    Lots around but.....
    The only one I found that was relatively easy to install was
    Vcalendar but this creates multiple tables and I wanted to be able
    to manipulate the php files to view data that I already had.
    Does anyone know of a robust simple calendar view (not the
    mini popups) that can be easily adapted.
    My existing table can be altered slightly if required but I
    don't want to have to completely change the structure of my
    database.
    Here's hoping......

    Hello,
    I got this from a colleague of mine so I can't take credit for it but here might be a possible workaround:
    1. Create two new Columns called Start Filter and End Filter.  Make these columns Calculated Columns with formulas of [Start Time] and [End Time] respectively.  The columns should be of the Date and Time\Date and Time type and should not be displayed on the Default View.
    2. Click Advanced Settings and choose Yes to the question "Allow management of Content Types" in the Content Types section.  Click OK.
    3. Click on the Event Content Type.  Open the two columns created in step 1 and select "hidden" for both of them.  Click OK.
    4. Back at the list settings create a new view or edit an existing view.  When you get to the filter section choose "Show items only when the following is true" and select the following:
    Start Filter
    is less than or equal to
    [Today]
    And
    End Filter
    is greater than or equal to
    [Today]
    5. Click OK to save the view.
    6. Open the List view web part that is displaying the recently changed calendar and change the view to the newly created or newly edited view.  Click Apply, OK.
