Changing a certain row background in datagrid programmatically

hi every one,
i have  a code like this
For Each item As Server In ServerList.Items
If item.ID = IDInput.Text Then
'change the item background
End If
Next
it would have been very simple if it was .net library like i would do
For Each item As ListViewItem In P_ListView.Items
If item.Text = P_ServerIDInput.Text.ToString Then
item.BackColor = Color.Purple
item.ForeColor = Color.Gold
Exit For
End If
Next
please help :)

in my old vb.net code i was using listview but in wpf i am using datagrid
<Grid Margin="16,0,0,0" Background="#FF424242">
<DataGrid x:Name="ServerList"
AutoGenerateColumns="False"
HeadersVisibility="Column"
SelectionMode="Single"
CanUserAddRows="False"
CanUserDeleteRows="False"
IsReadOnly="True"
VerticalAlignment="Stretch"
IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem="True"
VerticalContentAlignment="Center"
HorizontalContentAlignment="Center"
IsTextSearchEnabled="True" Margin="170,0,0,129">
<DataGrid.Columns>
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding ID}" Width="Auto" Header="ID" />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Name}" Width="200" Header="Name" />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Map}" Width="100" Header="Map" />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding GameMode}" Width="Auto" Header="Game mode" />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Players}" Width="Auto" Header="players" />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding MaxPlayers}" Width="60" Header="Max." />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding PB}" Width="Auto" Header="punkbuster" />
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding IP}" Width="Auto" Header="IP" />
</DataGrid.Columns>
</DataGrid>
if it's possible please make the answer in vb :)

    I see where you mean but I'm not familiar with the 'language'

    even the CSS code because I vaguely remember deleted it because I

    to place this image in the #container (I think that's where it
    should go) and where? Thanks. I've included the little piece of

And It's showing the background color on WorkOrderList Row & Selected Row that what i wanted. But on both Row & Selected TileView Screen showing white outline that i don't want and also i could not remove the default Selected Blue Background Color.

  • JTable row background change - based on EXTERNAL event

    Greetings folks!
    I'm hoping for some help with a JTable issue. Here's the scenario:
    The app is a point of sale application. The user scans or manually adds an item to the order, which causes a row to appear in the JTable displaying description, price, quantity, etc. The user can then right click a row on the JTable and select an option from the popup menu. If the user selects one of the options, I want to be able to change the background color on that row.
    EVERYTHING I've seen online and researching is based on adding a custom renderer to the jtable which changes the background based on the data in the row. In my case there isn't anything in the row which changes... hence the point of changing the color.
    What I'm looking for is a method which will let me change the background of row x. I'm guessing there isn't a way. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion.
    Thanks in advance,
    John E.
    PS: I'm fairly new to java and working with inherited code, so please no 'you need to redesign the world' type answers unless there's an easier way. :)

    In my case there isn't anything in the row which changesThen how is the table going to know what color to paint the row? Remember painting the row is a dynamic process. You can't just paint it once. You need the ability to repaint the row if for example the table is scrolled and the row is now longer present. Then when the table scrolls again and the row is present you need to be able to repaint the row in your specified color. This means you need some way to tell the table what color the row should be. Which means you need to keep that information somewhere.
    One way to do this is to store the data in the TableModel that indicates that this row should be painted a "different" color. Then your situation is like the examples you have found. You now have some data you can test. This column does not need to be visible in the table since you can remove the TableColumn from the TableColumnModel so the column is not painted.
    Here is a simple posting that shows a better approach to painting row backgrounds withouth using a renderer:

  • Three Numbers questions:how do you change the auto default background or fill color from white to another color to use in multiple succeeding operations?  what is the formula to express the ratio of two numbers as a percent?

    Numbers questioons:
    -how do I change the automatic default background fill color so it stays a non white color?
    -what is the formula to express the ratio of two numbers as a percentage?
    -how do I create a signal formula to be sue against an entire column of data (for example, if I wanted to multiply the each cell in the column by the number 10)?
    -I have created a spreadsheet in Numbers with header and rows labelled and it contains formulas as well.  I now want to create a new 'blank' of this template with same header and row names and formulas, but without the cell entries from my earlier exerciser so I can use again in the future. How do I do this?

    Hi Matt,
    For short columns, the easiest method is to select the cell containing the formula, then grab the fill handle (small circle at the botom right of the selected cell) and drag down.
    For long columns, use either Jerry's suggestion (copy/paste) or Insert > Fill > Fill Down.
    Copy/Paste:
    Select the cell containing the formula. Copy
    Select from the cell containing teh formula to the end of the column. Paste.
    Fill Down:
    After entering the formula, and pressing enter...
    Click on the column reference tab to select the whole column.
    Command click on each cell above the one containing the formula to remove it from the selection.
    When cell with the formula is the top cell in the selection, go Insert > Fill > Fill Down.
    Pick whichever is easiest.

    Hi
    I know two ways:
    - transaction obvu: here you can insert new fields, but only if these fields are included in certain table (like BKPF, BSEG, BSIS.....
    - if your field isn't included in those table, you have to modify the structure RFPOS and manage it in the BTE 1650. After updating RFPOS you have to run the program RFPOSXEXTEND to update the structure RFPOSXEXT.

  • ALV: how to disable editable cell and F4 in certain rows only.

    I am building a table maintenance front-end with an ALV grid using OOP concept.  Certain fields are editable and also have customised search helps assigned to them in the ALV structure defined for the grid. What I want is where I have identified an entry in my database table as being locked by another user, I want to grey the line out on the ALV grid so that the entry cannot be edited and not have f4 input whilst this entry is locked by another user.
    I can grey the line out or disable F4 but not both at the same time.  If I disable the cells of the row concerned using MC_STYLE_DISABLED, the F4 is still active and will change the contents of the cell concerned via the data_changed event method in CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
    I have used MC_STYLE_DISABLED where I have declared  a layout in my table similiar to this:
    DATA: BEGIN OF OUTPUT OCCURS 0,
    FIELD1,
    FIELD2,
    STYLE TYPE LVC_T_STYL,
    LOCK TYPE C.
    END OF OUTPUT.
    DATA: ls_celltab TYPE lvc_s_styl.
    * Where lock identified, field LOCK set to 'X'.
    LOOP AT OUTPUT where lock = 'X'.
    ls_celltab-fieldname = 'FIELD1'.
    ls_celltab-style = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_style_disabled.
    APPEND ls_celltab TO OUTPUT-STYLE.
    ls_celltab-fieldname = 'FIELD2'.
    ls_celltab-style = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_style_disabled.
    APPEND ls_celltab TO OUTPUT-STYLE.
    ENDIF.
    append OUTPUT.
    I have tried adding MC_STYLE_F4_NO to field LS_CELLTAB-STYLE2 but this does not do both actions atthe same time.
    Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong or an alternative way around this?
    Many thanks
    Regards
    Larissa

    As I have explained, I have fields that are editable AND are F4 enabled.  What I want is for certain rows of the ALV that I do not want any procesing to occur to make all fields in that row not available for input AND not f4 enabled.  I read a lock using a lock object.  If the entry in my ALV matches the key locked in the lock object, I want that line to be in display mode only in the ALV with no F4 help being able to be called.  It happens on the grid frontend when I press enter and have checked if any of my entries in my ALV are already locked by another user. The code is too long to post here. I can disbale the editable fields using MC_STYLE_DISABLED as described above but then the little drop down to enable F4 input is still visible against the field.
    I have got round it by calling the f4 in event HANDLE_ON_F4 to not go via the search help and set er_event_data->m_event_handled = c_yes so that the F4 hit list does not appear, but I want to get rid of the drop down marker in that field in that instance.
    Hope this is a little clearer now.

  • How To Delete a Row From a DataGrid

    Hai
         I have attached a mxml in a txt format. because i am unable to attach the mxml, pl copy this txt file into flex and run the application.
      1. Run the application.
      2. Enter values in the textbox and click add, values will be added to the datagrid.
      3. now click AND or OR and then change the values in the second and thrid combobox and again click add.
      4.Like wise change the combobox values and add five rows to the datagrid.
    5.now if u delete the last row u can see the curent last row in the combobox, so that the AND or Or can be added to it
    6. now if u delete a row in between, the deleted row's value oly maintains in the combobox,so i am unable to add AND or Or to the grid
      7.I need the last row data in the datagrid to be in the second and third combobox, which ever row is deleted.
    Can anyone help me....
    Thanks in advance.

    Except refresh() will not help, it only causes any sort or filter to be re-applied.  Use the collection API(removeItemAt()) to delete the item and the UI will update correctly.

    Well, you could do the following:
    1) Create a stored procedure that assembles the data into a rowset with rows and fields like the format you want.
    2) Create stored procedures that handle insert, update, and delete.
    3) Create an entity object definition with all transient attributes. Make the attributes match the elements of one row.
    4) Override doDML() in the entity object class to call your procedures (the doc explains how to do this). You might also need to do a bit of research and figure out if you need to override some other method so you can report rows with transient attribute changes only as needing posting. (getPostState(), maybe?)
    5) Create a view object definition with entity-derived attributes based on your EO attributes.
    6) Override the appropriate methods to call your data assembly procedure rather than execute a query (this is also in the doc).
    Still kind of kludgy, but it keeps your business components pretty clean, especially if you use framework classes to do most of the work for you. (I have a partial example of how to do that here.) Of course, it keeps your business components clean by moving the real work to the DB, but some people find that more maintainable that a kazillion business components.
    Hope this helps,

  • Change the Tree Component background

    Does anyone know how can i change the Tree Component
    background ?
    PLS HELP

    Check out the Component Reference... you change the icon for
    a single node, as far as I know there's no automated process beyond
    that. So assuming your tree component instance is named "theTree"
    you might do this to change the icon of the first node:
    theTree.dataProvider = yourXML; // make sure you don't try to
    change the icon before you load data into the tree
    var theNode = theTree.getTreeNodeAt(0); // the first node in
    your tree
    theTree.setIcon(theNode,'myIcon'); // set the icon
    Where "myIcon" is a MovieClip you have in your library that
    you have set the "linkage identifier" as "myIcon".
    That iconFunction doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me,
    because first of all I don't know why it would be attached to
    theTree, and second it's referring to "item" which is not defined,
    and third its taking the parameter "node" and not doing anything
    with it. But perhaps there is some cool way to make a single
    function which handles icons for your entire tree automatically,
    that would certainly be nice.
    However, like I said, as far as I know that function will do
    nothing without calling tree.setIcon() in some way. I just made a
    function which might do what you want -- it recursively loops
    through an entire tree and sets it's icon based on the XML
    attribute "icon":
    function setAllIcons(branch){
    for(var i in branch.childNodes){
    var node = branch.getTreeNodeAt(i);
    theTree.setIcon(node,node.attributes['icon']);
    if(node.hasChildNodes){
    setAllIcons(node);
    So basically, you run setAllIcons(theTree.dataProvider) after
    you have loaded and applied the XML.

  • Row background color in dataTable control based on criteria

    It is relatively straightforward to give a pattern of color to rows in a dataTable control, for instance to alternate colors from white to gray.
    However, I have not yet figured how the row background color could be decided based on data fields associated with each row. For instance, I would like to set the row background color based on the value of a boolean attribute associated with the row, e.g. white if value is false and gray if it is true.
    Is there an easy way to do this?
    Martin

    of the text, but not the whole cell. I need to find a
    way to change the span at the row level (on the <tr>
    tag). ANy ways to do this?
    MartinThis is a question of how to let the renderer adjust its behaviour depending on the current state of the model. My renderer changes the background for the selected row by changing the style class:
            writer.startElement("tr", table);
              if (table.getRowSelector())
                   if (table.isAtSelectedRow())
                        writer.writeAttribute("class", "selectedRow", null);
    etc.(of course, to be able to do this you must write your own renderer)

    Amit, shame you didn't include a code example. The first blog does work...though probably not the most effecient mechanism. The 2nd Blog seems to be missing something as referencing e.site isn't enough. I've included a code sample of what it should be. Please include the routine DeleteNil as you can't assign a value to a null node. If theres a more effecient way..by all means post a blog. Cheers

    If you're looking to change it programmatically, you can use property nodes.
    Drop a property node from the Application Control palette, right click on it and change the VI Server Class to VI. Next, change the Property to Front Panel, (not Front Panel Window). Now right click on the Panel output and create another property node for Color. Write to the Color property to change the panel color.
    The attached image shows these two nodes.
