  • Changing color on links that have been opened.

I did a search. After opening one of the matches, I expected that link to be a different color. But it's not. Is there a way to changed the color of a link that's been opened previously? Thanks. Becky

It should change to a more purplish color. Did you refresh the original page? That's required before the page updates.

  • Change color for link/website/file link.

Everytime I create a like to an email or file it seems to be WHITE FONT, but that doesn't work on white background. I have tried so many ways to change the font, but it won't allow it. What do I do to change the color of font to a hyperlink/file etc?
    Thanks

When the Site is published to your folder/.Mac/iDisk, there is a corresponding CSS style sheet for every page type. For example, the Blog folder has within it, a Blog CSS style sheet. Using a CSS editor (like CSSEdit) you can adjust things like the hyperlink and hover color as well as font etc. The only aspect of the iWeb template I have not been able to adjust is the Navigation bar.

  • Visited links on safari do not change color

Hi, I use safari Version 5.1.10 (6534.59.10) and when i browse the search results on google, the color of visited links does not change (it should turn form blue to purple). This does not happen when i use other browsers. I have already tried to reset and empty cache.. ANy suggestions?? this is very annoying

I don't know if they're not changing color for you, but for me the purple (visited link) looks too similar to the link (blue) for my bad corneas to distinguish unless I squint.
I found the link below helped, and it works!
How do I change color of links visited?

  • How to keep visited links from changing color?

FIRST, I want to say that it took me 10 minutes to find (accidentally) how to start a new thread.  In my profile?  Could it be any more obscure?
    </rant>
Yeah, I go to change page properties and make links and visited links the same color.  It still changes, and this happens to be on a page where the background color provides poor contrast to the color the links are changing to.  Is there a way to do this that is not overridden by the web gods?  Or whatever?
    Thanks

    Yeah, I'm a dinosaur.
Learned HTML from Elizabeth Castro's first edition; then went to DW MX,
where I am stuck.  Works for me, obviously with imperfections, as I am
hardly cutting edge multimedial gripping Web designer.
    Thanks for observations.
I'll ask for help again: I really, truly, cannot find how to start a
thread on the forum, nor reply to one, and all that.  I don't see any FAQ
tht elementary, nor anyone to e-mail for guidance.  If you can offer a
little of that, I will be grateful.
    Thanks,

It's a very dated website using extremely outdated code.

There's a whole mix of HTML formatting and font tags in there which were
    deprecated 10+ years ago.

This all means that the website will behave in strange ways sometimes.

Although it can be fixed, it would take hours to debug, explain and
implement the changes required, particularly if you've never used CSS
    styling before.

You're better off investing some cash in a modern, well coded, CSS
formatted template which will give you a sound foundation.
    e.g. http://www.projectseven.com/products/templates/index.htm

Then you can add your content and get good results quickly.

  • Link in form of a pictrue - change color when sweeping

Doing links in form of a word which change color when sweeping over them is simple in iWeb.
I wonder how I do if I not just want the color of the text but also an image to change.
Ex. I have a link in form of a bright cloud. When one sweep the mouse over it I want the cloud transform into a darker form of the same cloud.
Perhaps I need a codescript which connect two pictures of the cloud?

  • How to change the Hyper links color in the XML form

    HI SDNs
Do u have any idea how to change the hyperlink color in the xml form. My requirement is as follows.I have created xml form by using xml template and i displayed this xml form by using Km document iview.  I need tochange the hyper link color in the xml form content. I dont want to go for manual process by editing the xml form. because i have several hundreds of xml forms.
    Appreciate if you give suggestion.
    Thanks

    Hi Ramana,
The most convenient way to change the hyper links is by using the Theme Editor. Go to System Administration --> Portal Display --> Select Theme --> Component-Specific Styles --> Links --> Function/Result Link.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards,

  • Hi, My places.sqlite file size is 30,720 KB have I reached the maximum size, is there even a maximum size for this. Visited links are no longer changing color.

    Hi,
My places.sqlite file size is 30,720 KB have I reached the maximum size, is there even a maximum size for this.
Suddenly the visited links are no longer changing font color, as I am preparing for an exam I need visited questions to change color, to keep track of questions that I have finished. But if I delete a few days of history then again,a few more visited links change color then again it stops, so it seems something is getting full and not able to accommodate any more? Why are my visited links no longer changing color after a certain number of visits? I do have a back up of the places.sqlite file. So I have tried everything from deleting the profile, uninstalling reinstalling, creating a new profile, then copy pasting places.sqlite etc, but as mentioned after a few visits, visited links no longer change color, if I delete a few days of history then again a few visits will again change color and then stop again, so what should I increase so that my visited links quota is increased, I have also tried tweaking about:config and it has had no result. Although I was not really confident that increasing brower.history_max _pages (don't remember exact name, but I am sure you get the idea) is going to help.
Seems as though my visited links change color, quota is full and only if I delete a few days of history will I get a few more visited links to change color. Can somebody shed some light? As mentioned my places.sqlite file size is 30,720 KB so I think perhaps this has something to do with this? Would really appreciate if someone could help. Thank you.

There is no maximum for the places.sqlite database and other SQLite database files like I wrote above.<br />
All SQLite database file have fixed minimum sizes and if they run out of space they are automatically increased in size with a specific chunk size. For places.sqlite this is 10 MB for the minimum and for the chunk.

  • How to change Color of IMAGE Links

Page properties is the only place I can find to change the
color of LINKS. It works for text, but not for the border it
automatically puts around a linked image. It's purple! Can't I make
it white to blend in with the background? I have already changed
all the link colors in the page properties to white and the link
around the image is still purple! Is anyone familiar with this
phenomenon and how to get around it?
(BTW - in case you're wondering, there is no border
specified in the properties or the css style)

Of course, your method will not validate, while Osgoods will.
    And his will
work, too, assuming it's properly implemented.

  • Change color of List link

    Hi,
I'm trying to change the color of the links in one of my Lists. Can somebody please tell me how to do this? I'm not sure where to put it or what the syntax is.
    Thanks,
    Nora

    Take a look at:
    Change color of row links
Basically, create a class for your links and change the attributes using the :link,:visited, and :hover pseudo-classes. Even better, apply a class to the UL element, such as "myList" then add the following to your css:
    ul.myList li a:link,ul.myList li a:visited{color:#00ff00;text-decoration:none;}
    ul.myList li a:link,ul.myList li a:hover{color:#ff0000;text-decoration:underline;}
That way you don't have to repeat the 'class=".." ' for every link in your li, thus reducing the size of the page.
    Thanks,
    Tyler

  • Some visited links don't change color

on some of my hyperlinks (that go to other pages in the same
file) don't change color after they've been visited... example:
they start out regular "hyperlink" blue... then after visiting they
should change (e.g., to purple) but they don't.
I read in the knowledge base that for popups, the color WON'T
change because of a javascript issue... however, the "non changing"
links are not always for pop ups... as stated above.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks...

Thanks, Dimaxum...I've already read this thread, and every other thread about the subject on the internet. I am totally convinced this is a Safari issue because the links have always changed color for me using FireFox...always.
I'm sure there could be other situations where something else caused this problem and it was apparent on both browsers, but not in my case.
On my wife's Mac this is not a problem on Safari...it's something in my User folder causing it. For now I've just made FireFox the default browser and I'll keep searching. Or the next time I wipe my hard drive and rebuild everything (I do this every six months or so...old Windows habit that isn't necessary) I'm sure it will work fine then.
I was at the Apple store yesterday and tried several Macs there...they all worked fine. This is just somethiing on my machine.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Changing color on visited links?

How can Safari options be changed to show visited links in a different color (as is the case in Internet explorer and other browsers.
i.e if you have already visited a link, when you return to the main page, the browser shows you by different colors which links you have viewed and which ones are new (for thew current session)

I know you said Safari Enhancer will change the "read" links color but not on certain pages that have their own style sheets. I am using 10.4 with the latest version of Enhancer with Yahoo set as my home page. This page has about 100 links to news, sports, business etc. Even though I set Enhancer to change the colors it will not do so. Nor will my Google News Page. It does work with Google Search page but I want it to work on my Yahoo home page since that is where I read all of my News etc. Can you recommend other software that will work? Is Apple going to address this issue?

  • Change color on visited links

    Firefox 35.0.01
    Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 32.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580
I recently did a "refresh" (?) on Firefox and my visited links are no longer changing color. I've gone to Options - Content - Fonts & Colors - Colors... and the Link Colors option looks okay but when I click on a link it doesn't change color to indicate that it's been visited.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
*Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
You can also check the layout.css.visited_links_enabled pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure it has the default value.
You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location/address bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • Is It Possible To Change A Visited Link Back To Its Original Color???

    Hi,
I am trying to figure out if there is a way in Dreamweaver to change a visited link back to the orignal color it was before you visited it?
Another words, I have some links on the webpage I am creating.  I set the "link colors" to brown.  Then I set them to blue once they become "visited links".  This is indeed exactly what I want my webpage to do.  HOWEVER, when working on my page in Dreamweaver and having to constantly preview it in a browser, I don't want the links to remain blue.  Every time I preview my page in a browser the links are all blue because I have already clicked on them before while previewing them.  I am wondering if there is a way to like refresh the page you are building so that the links go back to the original brown color, so that each time I preview my page the links will be brown and not blue?
Anyone know if there is a way?
    Thanks.

Ha, I found out what to do.  It had nothing to do with Dreamweaver.  It was simply my browser remembering I had already previewed that page.  All I did was simply clear my private data out my browser, and voila, the links were back to brown!
