Changing field values in a Interactive form

I am trying to modify the fields of a Interactive form after the user presses the go button. The following code appears in my onSubmit method.
IPrivateIntPDFv1View.IPDFDataElement element = wdContext.nodePDFData().createPDFDataElement();
element.setForename("Wrighty08");
wdContext.nodePDFData().bind(element);
When I then get the byte[] in the following code it does not have the changes I made above however the changes do appear on screen when the program finishes. Any ideas?

I am trying to get the byte[] with the new values set. The implementation of the byte[] retrieval is in the submit-method. But just before I get the byte[] I am trying to change some values in the interactive form.
So first I run this code to change the value of a given field in the interactive form.

Then I get the byte array as follows.

The problem is that the changed values are not in the byte[].

Let me make sure u r working with table control.
First u have to create a event(VALIDATE) to do the validation.
Inside the event,
1. First get the current index where user has pointed the curson
2. Once u get the index read the internal table with index value.
3. Now u can compare the col1 and col2 values and populate the error message.
1. DATA : lo_elt TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
l_index type i.
lo_elt = wdevent->get_context_element( name = 'CONTEXT_ELEMENT' ).
CALL METHOD LO_ELT->GET_INDEX( RECEIVING MY_INDEX = l_index.
above code should be written inside the event.

Passing value from Adobe Interactive form, to the Webdynpro Application

Hi,
I have followed all the tutorials on interactive forms in WD for Java, & am able to successfuly display my context data in an interactive form.
However, i need help with the following:
1. Online scenario:
User has filled details in an interactive form & clicks on the submit button.
The Data from the form is NOT getting passed back to the WebDynpro application.
2. Offline Scenario:
User has filledup a pdf file(form), & has uploaded the form to the webdynpro application, using the file-upload UI element.
How do i read the data that the user has entered in that pdf file?
Any help with regard to these two queries, will be appreciated.

1) Online Scenario
check if the context mapping between UI elements and Context is properly done
check if the cardinality of the Context is alright.
2) Offline Scenario
you will have two views.
one upload view
and one interactive form view
in the upload view use the File Upload UI element.
in the Interactive Form View.... use the same view which you used to create the offline form, thus the interactive form UI element will already know the structure of data and the context mapping in the pdf file when you upload it.
Add the following line of code to the
method wdDoInit.

Fill DDL based on other field values in offline interactive adobe form

I have a requirement where in i need to fill the values for a dropdown list based on 3 other field values in offline adobe interactive forms which uses web service to interact with SAP.

Hi Soumya,
It is possible but a little bit tough and will make your form heavier.
The solution is advisable only when there is not very much data required for the drop down(May be not more than 500 values as it will create performance issue).
You can create a hidden table on the form contaning data for all the combinations. Depending on the selection of another 3 fields you can write the code to select only those values from this hidden table which are applicable to that selection. These values you can add to the drop down list removing the previous values.
Only you have to do is on calculate or vlaidate event of target DDL you have to write your code.
Pseudocode:
1. Clear your DDL using deleteItem() method.
2. Loop at your hidden table.
3. Inside the loop check for applicable entries depending on selection in other 3 fields.
4. Select the appropriate vlaues
5. Add using additem method().
Refer formCalc or JavaScript help for the appropriate code.

need to run through a list of old to new data (.csv) file and change them in a sharepoint list - can not make it work
here is my base attempt.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update SharePoint field value from a CSV file recursively.
We can import CSV file using the Import-CSV –path command, then update the field value in the foreach loop.

Hiding fields and subforms on interactive form for WebDynpro ABAP

Hi All:
I'm new to using interactive forms and I am creating a new form for material request. I need to hide selected fields based on the value of other fields. I also need to hide subforms the same way.
I have added the formcalc script to hide the field which apperas to work. But is I remove the field value, the hidden field is not made visible. This also applies to the hiding of the subform. I have tried the code at different events but no luck. If I enter 'KINC' in the plant field, the KINC_TAX_IND is visible. But if I remove or change the value, the KINC_TAX_IND is not being made visible.
Below is the code I am using:

Read values from Adobe Interactive Form inside the webdynpro

I have problems to read the values of the fields inside de adobe. I read an article on saptechincal that told:
You can see the Adobe form that we have designed, enter the data as shown below and press the submit button. (As I said earlier an activex control will be installed on to the client machine, you can see the activex control in the internet explore go to the menu: ToolsàInternet optionsàgo to the programs tab àPress button Manage add-ons.
You can see an activex control named u2018SAP ACFu2019, if you donu2019t have this control you will not see this page: Note you need to have adobe acrobat reader 7.1 installed, I have used version 9, the activex control was not working properly so down graded my adobe reader to 7.1)
This is true ??? I have the Acrobat reader 9.3 and i saw that also have the SAP ACF installed.
The value of the property displaytype on adobe interactive form on webdynpro is activeX or native.

Fields Disabled in ADOBE Interactive Form

Hi Guys,
While developing a WebDynpro application which have ADOBE form into it. We want to make this form as an interactive form, but the fields remain disabled and is not allowing for entering any value.
Please not that we do not have SAP Portal into the landscape, and we are developing the Web Dynpro application using SE80.

How to create a dynamic fields in the Adobe Interactive form ?....urgent...

Hi Experts,
I'm working on Adobe Interactive form developed in WDP ABAP.( I have successfully config the ADS in my server.)
Action:
1. Create two view -
first_view and second_view in the WDP ABAP..
2. In the first_view, there are a input field( named "elements_number") and a button(named "create_button") .
3. In the second_view, there is Adobe Interactive form ( named "adobe_form" ).
4. Run the WDP ABAP: first_view is opened. Type a number ex."3" in the "elements_number", click the "create_button".
5. The second_view is opened.
6. The "adobe_form" is occured.
7. There are 3 text_fields in the "adobe_form".
Steps (1) ~ (6), I have completed, but I don't know how to implement the step (7).
Please give me some hint on this. I try to use the CL_WD_ADOBE_SERVICE, but I didn't found any examples. Do you give me some ways to implement the function? Thanks a lot.

How to change field values AFTER Inbound IDOC Posted successfully

Hi SAP Experts,
In my project I receive the inbound IDOC PORDCR05 from PI and posted as an Purchase Order in ECC.
I create the Z process code and Z function module (which is a copy version of IDOC_INPUT_PORDCR) and complete all the necessary configuration steps. It works perfectly.
My problem is: I have to collect some inbound idocs (that satisfied some criteria) and change the value of field EKPO-TXJCD and EKKN-KOSTL of the PO AFTER it posted successfully (means the purchase order is created and save in database).
How can I do this? I've try to put the logic code in Z function module, but it does not work, since at that time, the Inbound IDOC is not updated to the database yet.

as per your cretiria pick the idocs and take created PO# from status 53 & use the BAPI (BAPI_PO_CHANGE) to change the neccessary values in the PO. We can't reprocess those idocs again.

How to Supply the form field values to a pdf form when loading it

I am working on a web site project using Asp.net where the user has to fill in a PDF eform in acrobat reader. Then when he clicks on submit it returns to my asp.net app and the PDF form supplies the values back to my asp.net app. So my asp.net app has the values that were filled in the PDF form and can save those values and work with them...
OK.
What I need to know is when I am in my asp.net app, and the user wants to go back and reopen the same form, from my asp.net app..... then how do I pass back the values that were saved back to the PDF form??
I know if I had a way to pass the values to the PDF form in some way then in the Doc.open or doc.load event of the form I could easily write a little javascript to plug in the values in the PDF form fields.
but how do I pass those values from my asp.net app to my PDF form???

Thanks bcweed for all the info. I fixed my problem, it had something to do with LiveCycle Designer. If I just use Acrobat to add the form fields, then the FDF works fine. As to your situation with the SavToBuf, that happens to be the method that I am using, so I will just post my code here, and maybe you can pick out what is different from yours. if you want to change the value in the CESS field of j_1irg23d table. ( sales tax )
since it is a standard table dont try to do it using update ot modify statsments.. standard tables are updated using standard transaction and it is not advicable to change using abap statments..
just try to find a bapi or field module to update that field in the j_1irg23d table.
1) To find a bapi or function module just do a whereused list on the table name you may get some fms or bapi
2) check the forum you may get some links on it..

Dear Sathish,
I dont think there is direct way to control the visibility property in the Interactive form. Instead, you can create a table inside a subform and change the Subform Content Property to "Flowed".
You will be having a node assigned to the table. Instantiate the node twice, say first time for the heading row and the second time for the table content. and do this under the ciondition if the table is not enpty. This way you can control the visibility of the table and it is so simple.
