  • User Defined Characteristics not populating for Batch during GR of SC PO

We have a requirement to populate the one characteristic ( Country of origin ) of batch during GR.
After GR the characteristics value should be displayed in Classification Tab of MSC3N transaction.
So that I have implemented the Enhancement MBCFC004 .
Two conditions here for Populating the Country of Origin
    1) During GR of Standard Purchase Order the Characteristics (Country of Origin) value should be mseg-oic_oland1 ( Country from Extenal Details )
For this condition the User Exit code is working perfectly and also updating classification in MSC3N .
NO ISSUE for Standard Purchase Order.
    2) During GR of Subcontract Purchase Order the Characteristics (Country of origin value ) should be populated from the characteristics value of Batch of
          component Material .
For this condition the User Exit Code is working perfectly , But NOT updating classifcation in MSC3N .
        This happens for Subcontract PO.
Can anyone suggest solution , why this happening for Subcontract Purchase Order.

    Hi Sumit,
I am not sure about your question, but if you want to populate the classification data during goods receipt then you need to maintain characteristics values in material master for classification tab under class type batch i.e. 022. After then it will apper during goods receipt for characteristics value for batch.

  • Restricting duplicate entries in for Batch Characteristics

    Hi All,
How can we restrict duplicate values for Batch characteristics. The characteristics is a user input field but we want to keep a check that user doesn't input duplicate entries as in previous batches.

I think I misread your question.
When you say user doesn't input duplicate entries as in previous batches. do you mean the values in some other batch should not be entered in the current batch? For example, if in batch A, the characteristics Gold value reads as 1000 $, when the user creates the batch B, the user should not be allowed to enter value 1000$ for characteristic Gold?
If the assumption is correct, then I think standard configurations can't help. However take a look at the user exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014 in program SAPLV1ZN.I also recommend you posting this question in materials management forum after closing this thread, if you don't find suitable answer.

  • Table for batch determination date

    hi,
im printing the Dispensing slip...they want the output based on the batch determination date..
can any one tel me in which table i willl get batch determination date?

Are you using a separate batch selection class versus the batch class?
There are characteristics that must be in the selection class, but cannot be in the batch class.
    See OSS note 33396.
    1.  If you want to search for batches on the basis of a remaining shelf
life in batch determination, the system has to calculate a requested
shelf life expiration date dynamically from the information you
             give.
         2.  Add characteristic LOBM_VFDAT to the batch classes.
For the revaluation of reference characteristics, refer to Note
             78235.
Characteristics LOBM_RLZ and LOBM_LFDAT must not be included in the
             batch classes!
         3.  Add characteristics LOBM_VFDAT, LOBM_LFDAT, and LOBM_RLZ to the
             selection classes.
Maintain a remaining shelf life in the strategy records for batch
             determination. Relational operators (> , < , <= , >=) are considered
in the dynamic calculation of the shelf life expiration date in
             batch determination.
From your note you have placed LOBM_RLZ  and LOBM_LFDAT in your batch class.  You cannot do that.

  • Production order enhancement for batches

We have a scenario where the batch expiration date of the produced material in the Production order = to the earliest expiration date of one of the component batches. Once the batches of the component are allocated in the Production order, we want do a enhancement which calculates the expiration date for the produced material based on the earliest expiration date of the component batches.
This scenario is typical of a pharama industry I would think. Does anybody know if there is a BADI/user exit/function module I can use for this purpose.
    thanks a lot

For this you need to have a Z program which calculates the Expiry date of the finished product based on the component materials expiry date.
There will be some specific or Key materials basing on which you calculate the Expiry date of the Finished product.
Maintian a Sort String to such materials like 'K'.
Now get a program developed in such a way that during the population of batch characteristics for finished product when process order release, it should check for these component materials expiry date and take the earliest expiry date and calculate basing on this.
There was a BADI released for this purpose, some time when I was working in my previous project. I will check and let you know.
Till then you can explore on the above said option.
    Hope this helps you.

    hi
maintained class in t-code CL01 for you characteristics then sort sequence CU70 as per shelf life, setting expiration date check by OMJE for your plamt and movment type,
maintained strategy type in spro in production
Define Batch search procedure and assign your strategy there.
then allocate your search procedure to your plant in spro
and then maintained condition type in t -code COB1 for your plant.
also maintained your class in material master in classification view for batch class

    please help me.
    thanks a lot.

Class ZBATCH has status 1 (= 'Released') but the customizing of classtype 023 doesn't allow to classify with classes of this status. Settingsfor class status in class type 023 are different from what SAP delivers.Correct please these settings. You may lookup the correct definition of
the class status in class type 022.

  • ATP check for batch managed products

    Hello All,
I have a requirement for ATP check for batch managed products and would be glad if someone can help me on that.  One of the characteristics on my product is expiry date. Business wants to restricts confirming products which has an expiry date of less than 90 days for orders outside the country. How can we achieve that?

    Hello
You can try with activating Shelf Life Expiration Date (SLED).
For config, check SPRO - Logistice General - Batch master - SLED
Then finally setup Customer Exit to calculate/check the SLED.
    Exit EXIT_SAPLMHD1_001 for enhancement SAPLMHD1.
Further, you can refer following SDN thread for reference/understanding:
      - SLED by customer/ material

  • Report for Batch and classification

  • Specific Identification Cost for batch managed items (Follow-Up from P2P)

Specific Identification Cost method is used for serial and batch managed item. Using this method, the outbound cost of such items would be the original cost of specific goods, which can be determined according to the serial or batch number of that item.
Business One allows the user to receive batch managed items with a batch number that already exists in the DB. It’s possible that the received quantity is added to on-hand quantity in the warehouse. In such case, the quantity on-hand of that batch and the received quantity may have different costs.
What should be the system behavior in such case:
    1. Block receipts to the same batch with different costs.
    2. Write the difference to a price difference account, as done in Standard Cost method.
    3. Manage the batch cost with Moving Average method.
This thread is continuation from 'Specific Identification Cost for batch managed Items' <a href="http://p2p.sap.com/businessoneforum?type=join&login=1&uid=41FB661A76CED536C825C4E2B6FF4397&cid=91&go=z37225">discussion</a> in P2P SAP Business One Forum (Product Development Collaboration).
Previous discussion on P2P is summarized in the attached file.

    Hi Peter,
This is a very important functionality that you are describing here. For example, in the Steel industry, it could be extremely useful to cost by batch or serial number.
If you receive a batch that already exists in the system and if the costing method for the product is moving average, then teh cost of the batch should be calculated based on the moving average as well.
If the costing method is standard, then the cost should go in a variance account.
If the costing method is FIFO, then it is a getting trickier...

  • Inventory ageing report for batches

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for a ageing report for batches. MC46 and MC50 is not displaying the batches which is my main requirement. I learnt that its not available in standard SAP. I am planning to develop a Zreport which is a copy/reference of MC46 and MC50.
If you ever come across this situation before, which approach you followed? I appreciate if you throw some thoughts on builiding a query or Zreport or any logics.
    Regards,
    R.S

    Hi Shiva,
Thanks for the information. We are not using SLED for the batches and BMBC is just a **** pit where you can use it as work list when you try to change mass batches. I dont know how BMBC helps in fetching a report for ageing.

  • What is the field and Table for "Batch Class" and "Class Type" in QM.

    Hi All,
What is the field and Table for "Batch Class" and "Class Type" in QM.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
For batch class the class type value is '023' . This you can find from KLAH table and the fileld for class type is KLART..
And also all the data related to batch class are found in tables INOB, KLAH,KKSK and for the characeteristics of batch materials you can refer AUSP table.
In INOB table, for batch class, you need to give 023 in KLART field and  value MCH1 in OBTAB filed.
Please check this and let me know if this you need any more details?
