Chart only generates column graphics

Hello
Our system BW is 3.5 sp 16 saplgpad 6.20 patch level 45.
When I try to creat a chart with circles or other, the system always execute a column graphics.
I read a 653249 note - Chart only generates column graphics, and our systems is OK.
Did someone have a problem like this?
Regards
Cleusa

Are you doing this in the Web Appl Designer, or BEx?
If using WAD, do you have the IGS server up and running? Have your Basis folks check that.
We're 3.5 SP 15 SAPGUI 6.40 and I have not problems with other charts types.

  • IGS for BW 3.5- Chart showing as column only

    IGS for BW 3.5
    Hi All,
    We've been having problems with our WAD chart, it is showing up only as column chart even though we change the chart type to e.g line chart, bar chart..etc.
    I found note 653249 but it everything seems okay in our system. IGS test in RSRT is working. Checked as well the settings by running BW_IGS_ADMIN and everything seems okay.
    We upgraded our front-end and now using BW 3.5 Patch 2 ( this came with SAP GUI 7.10), but still not working.
    I am not a Basis person, but i need to know what caused this problem and how to fix it. We are using BW 3.5 and IGS version is 6403.0.8.2.
    Seems like we are using the IGS standalone installation since the configuration file path is in D:\Program Files\SAP\Internet Graphics Server\conf\igs.xml.
    I read somewhere that IGS standalone is not for BW 3.5? Is this right? Any ideas about this?
    Thanks!
    Jti

    Hi Kai,
    Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
    However, i would like to clarify on something. in note 653249, it says there that "The IGS must not contain a gfwchart.dll file." In our setting, the chart is using the mischart.dll ( see below).
    3291 CHART 6403.0.8.5 SAPMIS
    3292 CHART 6403.0.8.5 SAPMIS
    So i was thinking our setting is alright. So this should be gfwchart.dll? Please confirm. If so, do you know of any note/docs for this setting? I will need it so i can endorse it to Basis.
    We use graph reporting in Crystal for most of our reports, so we never had issue about this charts in WAD until now. Do we still need to run the chart migration although we didnt have any web templates with charts before?
    Your input is appreciated.
    Regards,
    Jti

  • In the new Numbers, How can I get a 2D stacked column chart to display only 1 column?

    In the new Numbers, How can I get a 2D stacked column chart to display only 1 column?

    This is one of those things that I find really strange about Numbers 3. The control for what you want to do is not where anyone would expect to find it.
    Select the Chart
    Click on Edit Data References
    Look at the bottom left corner of the Numbers window. It should say "Plot Columns as Series" or "Plot Rows as Series"
    Click on it and change it to the other

  • EA2: Code is generated for only one column with Domain check constraint.

    I created a Domain with a Value List (Y or N - Yes or No) and used that domain for two columns in the same table. But for only one column (the last one) the check appears in the generated DDL.
    After I enabled the "Use Domain Constraints" both checks appear in the DDL, but one as an inline check constraint and one as an "Alter table add contraint.."
    Once I changed the naming Template for the check constraint, both constraints are generated as an Alter table clause. The inline check constraint is only generated when the name of the constraint (according to the template) is too long. It would be nice if I could choose if I want an inline or a separate check constraint definition.

  • How to link Excel Chart with multiple columns dynamically?

    Hi all,
    I have one problem. I have an excel chart which has to read data from multiple columns for it's X-axis values (time stamps) and the same number of values for it's Y-axis from multiple columns. See figure attached.
    Now, you can do this by manually assigning values by holding control key to tell the chart that data from many columns is continued from the first column. i.e, a long data is distributed along may columns. This is done very easily manually.
    Now, how to do it at runtime through LabVIEW 8.0?
    Although, I have done it through labview when there where only two columns, A and B streching up to any length. But, now to save space we are dumping into many columns in the same page and want the chart plot that data as we dump it.
    It is tough since I don't know how to assign SourceData of the chart through labview.
    I have attached chart's SourceData picture.
    Hope you all can solve my problem.
    The Y-axis values are: =(good!$B$30:$B$70,good!$D$30:$D$70,good!$F$30:$F$70,good!$H$30:$H$70,good!$B$71:$B$140,good!$D$71:$D$140,good!$F$71:$F$140,good!$H$71:$H$140,good!$B$141:$B$189)
    good is the name of the file.
    The X- axis values are: =(good!$A$30:$A$70,good!$C$30:$C$70,good!$E$30:$E$70,good!$G$30:$G$70,good!$A$71:$A$140,good!$C$71:$C$140,good!$E$71:$E$140,good!$G$71:$G$140,good!$A$141:$A$189)
    See the columns vary from A to F.
    I have still not got what I love.....

  • Only one column was record on Trigger

    Dear Experts,
    I've created SQL Trigger, it has five column, but only one column was recorded when Trigger's fired, another filled by NULL value
    please your valuable suggestion & helps
    thank you
    warmest regards

    Triggers are fired by INSERT  not matter how many rows it will generate and it is perfectly possible to have NULLs if columns allow it..
    If you want to prevent from entering NULLs, please examine inserted virtual table to filter out the data which contains NULLs.

  • Chart not getting columns from the SQL Query with InlineTransform(xsl)

    Hi All,
    I am using MII 12.0 . I tried to use the mii standard xsl for converting rows into columns by  Inline Transform in a SQL Query.
    while executing the Query it is giving me the correct output but i tried to load the same Query in a IChart there it is not showing me the available columns that i can able to see in simple executiion and chart is also not plotting it keeps on loading.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi LinoVaz,
    Some things to try for testing purposes -
    1. Don't do any Data Mapping of the query columns
    2. If a SQL Query, you may need to change the Server Scaling to use Global AutoScale.
    I found that when I mapped the inline-transformed query into a bar chart display template, and hit the Refresh button, only the first column name show in the Column Names area.  If I mapped it, I got only that column.  If I didn't map any columns, I got them all.
    Let me know if you find similar results.  I think this is likely a bug, so you may consider using a Business Logic Transaction and an XacuteQuery to accomplish the same result.

  • ALV List only 80 Columns when runinning as background job

    Hello Guys,
    I have a Problem with an ALV List.
    We use the FM REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY for a Document Journal.
    When I run it in foreground it works fine. But when I view the spool in background the list makes a break at excactly 80 signs, but the line size should be about 120.
    In the report the Line-Size is set correctly, even the print parameters seem to be ok. We are running it with X_65_255.
    I saw that there are some SAP Notes to this topic, but on our release (SAP_BASIS 700) the notes are already implemented.
    Has anyone a solution to this topic?
    Thanks and regards

  • Set filter for only one column in tableview

    Hi
    i am using in MVC a htmlb:tableview with filter in only one column of 8.
    This is all working fine, except that the user can enter a searchsting in the filterfield for all columns, but in handle_event (of the controller) ; i only react to a text in the filterfield of column 4 and ignore all other filtertext , which were maybe entered in the other columns.
    My question:
    how can i  enter the filter only for one column, in a way that the user cannot enter any text in the filterfield of the other columns, only in column 4 ?
    my view:
    <htmlb:tableView id             = "requirements"
                     table          = "//model/pdst_reqs"
                     filter         = "APPLICATION"
                     keyColumn       = "EXTID"

                     footerVisible   = "FALSE"
                     encode          = "TRUE"
                     visibleRowCount = "<%=model->rowcount%>"
                     width           = "100%"/>

    You can disbale the Filter for the particular column by setting the DISABLE_FILTER in the Iterator method IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~GET_COLUMN_DEFINITIONS. Here is the sample code
    method IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~GET_COLUMN_DEFINITIONS .
      CLEAR p_column_definitions.
      CLEAR p_overwrites.
      data tv_column TYPE TABLEVIEWCONTROL.
      tv_column-COLUMNNAME          = 'FLDATE'.
      tv_column-SORT                = 'X'.
      tv_column-EDIT                = 'X'.
      tv_column-ONCELLCLICK         = 'MyCellClick1'.
      tv_column-title               = 'Date '.
      APPEND tv_column TO p_column_definitions.
      CLEAR tv_column.

      tv_column-DISABLE_FILTER      = 'X'.    " <-------Like this
      APPEND tv_column TO p_column_definitions.

  • Access for update only one column in table?

    Hi all,
    My need is to grant access for update only one column c1 in table t1.
    I guess I should use view, could you please give me some example? Maybe other ideas?

    Hi,
    You can grant privileges on individual columns.
    GRANT   UPDATE (c1)
    ON      t1
    TO      grantee_name;Look up GRANT in the SQL language manual. Annoyingly, in recent editions of the manual, GRANT is not indexed, but it's in alphabetic order with all the other statements:

  • Removing header, border for only single column in mx:DataGrid

    Hi,
        I am using Flex4 SDK and FlashBuilder4.
    I have a requirement where i need to remove column header, borders and grid lines for only last column in datagrid.
    It should look like there is no column present. This column will be used to show some icon for only selected row.
        Can any one suggest how to implement this. Please provide any sample if you can.
    Thanks

    hi Johnny, it was helpfull for me.
    With the given example i am still getting the grid line gaps with the selected row or hover color between verticle cells of the column.
    As gridlines can only be removed for complete datagrid not for a single column. is it possible ?
    Thanks

  • Show only specific columns

    hello,
    using obiee 11g
    I have a requirement like this
    I have 2 prompts, begin date and close date as prompts,Depending upon the date selected i want to show or hide the column.
    By default i made the prompts to show current date and current_date-365
    And also the column header and the data shows properly for the column.
    My only problem is if i select the date as
    01/01/2011 to 30/07/2011 it should show only 7 months data so should show only 7 columns and hide rest 5 columns.
    Its showing from jan to Dec and I want it to show only jan to july?
    Is this possible is my question?
    Thanks

    Hello Deepak,
    Went through the Article,
    I created a filter report which has 2 columns and 1 row->Start And End Date.
    More info on my req--->
    Actually my data is in column wise and not row wise,i.e. my columns are dynamic,headings are start date as col1 and .....and show start date+12 as the last column.
    I have 12 columns in the main report whose header i am taking from the prompt values because i want the header to be dynamic depending upon the date selected.
    So in that prompt i have 12 variables for each 1 headings.So first variable will have the value like startdate prompt and then next variable will have startdate+1.
    In the column formula for each column i am using a filter function to filter the measure column depending
    the month and year of the table.date
    is equal to
    the month and year of the start date prompt.
    So in the main report if i add a filter based on another request,since i have the data as column, no effect its showing.
    Thanks

  • How to read only particualr columns from excel sheet to internal table

    Hi,
    I have and excel sheet which has around 20 columns, in which i want to read only 6 columns. They are at different column positions, means the 1st column, 6thcolumn, 8th column so on..
    Can we do this in sap? do we have any FM to do this?
    Thanks.
    Praveena.

    hi,
    Use the below logic to fetch the data into internal table..You need to read the data cell by cell and update the internal table,
    DATA l_count TYPE sy-tabix.
       CONSTANTS: lc_begin_col TYPE i VALUE '1',
                  lc_begin_row TYPE i VALUE '2',
                  lc_end_col   TYPE i VALUE '2',
                  lc_end_row   TYPE i VALUE '3000'.
      CLEAR p_i_excel_data. REFRESH p_i_excel_data.
    * Function module to read excel file and convert it into internal table
       CALL FUNCTION 'KCD_EXCEL_OLE_TO_INT_CONVERT'
         EXPORTING
           filename                = p_p_file
           i_begin_col             = lc_begin_col
           i_begin_row             = lc_begin_row
           i_end_col               = lc_end_col
           i_end_row               = lc_end_row
         TABLES
           intern                  = i_data

           OTHERS                  = 3.
    * Error in file upload
       IF sy-subrc NE 0 .
         MESSAGE text-006 TYPE 'E'.
         EXIT.
       ENDIF.
       IF i_data[] IS INITIAL .
         MESSAGE text-007 TYPE 'E'.
         EXIT.
       ELSE.
         SORT i_data BY row col .
    * Loop to fill data in Internal Table
         LOOP AT i_data .
           MOVE i_data-col TO l_count .
           ASSIGN COMPONENT l_count OF STRUCTURE p_i_excel_data TO <fs_source> .
           MOVE i_data-value TO <fs_source> .
           AT END OF row .
    * Append data into internal table
             APPEND p_i_excel_data.
             CLEAR p_i_excel_data.

  • Return only the columns with different values.

    Hi all,
    I am trying to solve a seemingly trivial problem but can't seem to get any straight answer anywhere in any forum. Consider a single table with 5 columns and only two rows:
    row_id           first_name         last_name        age            gender
    1                    John                  doe               27             M
    1                    Jane                  doe               27              F  Assume there is no primary key or any other constraint. Also assume that there are only and only two rows in this table. So I basically need a query that, in the above set of rows, would return first_name and gender, as they are the only differing columns in the two rows, and also their values. Even if i can somehow get the column names that are differing that would be enough as I can easily access the values later on. Also it is important to remember that I may not know the column names of all the columns, so basically I somehow must utilize user_tab_columns in the process.
    Any help appreciated.

    There is nothing wrong with it. Here you have added all the columns in the decode statement as you already know all the column names. What if there is a table whose column names are unknown i.e I can pass the table as a parameter to a procedure and I would need to loop through all the columns and then perform this operation.Table- and column names must be hard-coded into the query. If you want to figure out what the columns are at run time, given only hte table name, then you need dynamic SQL.
    All the column names are in the data dictionary view all_tab_columns. You can easily loop through them to build exactly as many lines like
    DECODE (a.row_id,     b.row_id,     NULL, 'row_id,')     ||as you need in the SELECT clause. The FROM clause is dynamic, too: it has the variable table name in 2 places.
    But i am not sure if it worth the effort to do it on the database side. Probably easier to do it on the middle tier such as .NET, which where the business logic is implemented in my company.I don't know much about .NET, so I can't compare them
    It's not very hard to do in PL/SQL (as dynamic SQL goes).

    Here's a function that does the dynamic SQL:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION  different_columns

    ,  in_owner_name  IN  VARCHAR2     DEFAULT USER
    RETURN VARCHAR2
    IS

    BEGIN

        FOR  c  IN ( SELECT    column_name
                          ,        ROW_NUMBER () OVER (ORDER BY  column_id  DESC)  AS r_n

                      || c.column_name

         IF  c.r_n > 1

                     || 'FROM  "' || in_owner_name

    END  different_columns;
    SHOW ERRORSYou can call it in SQL like this:
    SELECT     different_columns ('RHIT_TABLE_X')  AS dc
    FROM     dual
    ;Using PL/SQL, we might not need RTRIM, at least not in the query. I'll leave that as an exercise.
