Checkoutview and checkinview in java code

Hi all,
I have a problem with checkout and checkin view in java (see the code below).
My checkoutView is ok, but when I checkIn it doesn't take into account my modifications. I guess I'm doing something wrong between the checkout and the checkin but I don't know what.
1) How to modify a checkout to be able to checkin ?
2) Is my way to get the session ok or is there a better way ?
3) Any other comment ?
Thanks for your precious help,
Ben
Import code:
import java.util.List;
import com.waveset.object.GenericObject;
import java.util.HashMap;
import com.waveset.session.SessionFactory;
import com.waveset.util.EncryptedData;
import com.waveset.object.LighthouseContext;
import com.waveset.util.WavesetException;
import com.waveset.session.Session;Getting the session and preparing variables :
String host = "host";
    String url = "http://"+host+"/idm/servlet/rpcrouter2";
    String user = "configurator";
    EncryptedData password = new EncryptedData("password");
    Session ses = SessionFactory.getConfiguratorSession(url, user, password, true);
    LighthouseContext lh = ses;
    HashMap m = new HashMap();
    m.put("authorized", true);
    m.put("subject", user);
    String compte = "user";
    String ressource = "AD";do the checkoutview
GenericObject go = lh.checkoutView("User:"+compte, m);Modify value the problem is probably here (I guess I don't modify the good object)
    List<GenericObject> c = (List<GenericObject>) go.toMap().get("accounts");
    System.out.println(c);
    System.out.println(GenericObject.findObject(c, ressource).toMap().get("Terminal Services Local Home Directory"));
    GenericObject.findObject(c, ressource).toMap().put("Terminal Services Local Home Directory", "test");Checkin the View
    lh.checkinView(go, m);Check if it worked:
    go = lh.getView("User:"+compte, m);
    c = (List<GenericObject>) go.toMap().get("accounts");
    System.out.println(GenericObject.findObject(c, ressource).toMap().get("Terminal Services Local Home Directory"));
    System.out.println();

I got it!
After a lot of searching/debugging/losing time I finally found it.
My problem was that I was using an account with a non empty form.
After creating the administrator account "adminjava" with explicitely given the "empty form", the following code works perfectly.
I hope it will help others...
Beware, for AD groups, the element is either a String if the user checked out is member of only one group or a List if it is a member of 2 groups or more.

import com.waveset.util.WavesetException;
import com.waveset.session.Session;
import com.waveset.object.WavesetResult;
import java.util.ArrayList;
String host = "cahors";
String url = "http://"+host+"/idm/servlet/rpcrouter2";
String user = "adminjava";
EncryptedData password = new EncryptedData("password");
Session ses = SessionFactory.getSession(url, user, password);
LighthouseContext lh = ses;
HashMap m = new HashMap();
m.put("authorized", true);
m.put("subject", user);
String compte = "utest1";
String ressource = "AD";
String key = "Terminal Services Local Home Directory";
String value = "ca marche vraiment très bien";
GenericObject go = lh.checkoutView("User:"+compte, m);
List<GenericObject> c = (List<GenericObject>) go.get("accounts");
for (GenericObject oo : c) {
    if(oo.getName().equals(ressource)) {
        //System.out.println(oo.get(key));
        oo.put(key,value);
WavesetResult a = lh.checkinView(go, m);

  • How to get server date and time using java code

    Hi,
    I'm new to java. I have one doubt about getting date and time of the server. can anyone give some sample code to get that.
    thanks in regards
    Gopi.

    you need 2 things
    1. something on the application server which exposes the servers time/date
    2. something on the client which makes use of your time service
    for instance, you could write a ServerTimeServlet that clients can call to get the time according to the server. or, if you've got a database in the server, often database software will provide a Time procedure or similar that does this, so you can use a simple SQL query to get the latest time

  • Export java code out of database?  difference between Prod and Test

    Hi all,
    I'm a seasoned DBA, but I have never really dealt with Java, so this is all new to me. Within one of my test databases (10.2.0.3.0), I have a database package - within the package is a procedure that has this Java call:
    language java name 'com.clinapps.pmd.etl.interfaces.forecasting.itemtrial.helper.SSFItemOutboundPMDHelper.processSSFItemInterface()';
    This Java code goes and exports a file to .xml format. The basic problem is that in our Test environment, there is a problem in the xml file that gets generated - the second line is missing the first few characters. However, in all of our other environments, including Production and Validation, it all works fine - the xml file is good. What has me confused, is that we've done several database refreshes, where we export from production, then import it down to test. So from everything I'm looking at, the schema is exactly the same - but something is different, causing the issue in the xml file that is being generated. I was wondering if I could get into the database and export the Java code, then that is something where I could confirm if there's a difference or not, from Prod to Test.
    Does anyone have any input/feedback on how to do this? I've been googling, and tried several methods, including dbms_metadata.get_ddl, and DBMS_JAVA.EXPORT_SOURCE, but I can't get anything to work.
    Or if anyone has any other thoughts on how to debug/troubleshoot this, I'd appreciate any ideas!!
    Thank you from a Java newbie!!

    OK, that is helping me get somewhere!! If I change the query to this, I am getting results:
    select obj_num,long_name from SYS."KU$_JAVA_CLASS_VIEW" where LONG_NAME like '%SSFItemOutboundPMDHelper%';
    171879
    com/clinapps/pmd/etl/interfaces/forecasting/itemtrial/helper/SSFItemOutboundPMDHelper
    Note that it has the / instead of the . as the differentiator
    Now if I do the second query, I see this:
    SQL> select * from SYS."KU$_JAVA_OBJNUM_VIEW" where OBJ_NUM=171879;

  • Getting java code to compile on unix/linux

    I have been using borland JBuilder to run and compile my java code. Recently i tried moving the code to a linux machine in which i have downloaded the JDK to. My classes only use standard java classes with the exception of a jbcl.jar file which has a class that one of my classes relies on. It turns out when i try to run my class i get error messages because it cant find the jar file. Where should I put this jar file? by the way in my class i use the statement: where jbcl.layout is the class i need.
    import jbcl.layout.*;

    another question. In my class I use the statement
    import jbcl.layout.*;
    so all i need to do is add the jbcl.jar to my class
    path? is my import statement correctIf it compiles in your IDE, then it's correct. You shouldn't have to change anything at all in your source code to use a different compiler or to compile on a different platform. You just have set up the proper environment and parameters--tell it which .java files to compile, which jars or directories to search for classes in (classpath), etc. For IDEs you do that with the Preferences or Options menu item. For command line compilation you do this with command line arguments, config files (a la build.xml for ant), or environment variables (although relying on the CLASSPATH env var is generally a bad idea).

  • 'protect' my Java Code

    Hi friends, my question is simple:
    1) How to protect the java Desktop code, you know if i redistribute the .class files, it can be decompiled and get the java code, i want to do similar to Visual Basic, that generate a .EXE file and is hard hard decompile it, is possible?
    2) How to protect the JSP code,  you know Netbeans Generate a .war file, but Tomcat deploy it on the server, right? but in the server the user can see the code, if i add a servlet, it generate a .class file right? again exist tools for decompile .class files, bad bad, in PHP exist a way for encrypt the php code with Zend. exist similar for JSP?
    Thanks

    I suggest that before you pursue any solution you make sure you REALLY have something that needs protected to begin with. There is a LOT of software out there from MAJOR companies who haven't bothered to try to 'protect' their code except through license agreements and legal channels.
    Even Oracle's FREE to download Sql Developer tool has basically no protection from 'decompiling' and it has a lot of sophisticated functionality in it.
    The most reasonable thing to do, IMHO, if you really need to do anything is to obfuscate the code. Here is a link to a free-ware/shareware application that is pretty popular.
    ProGuard
    Keep in mind that ANYTHING you do will further complicate your own production and distribution of the product as well as make upgrades and bug fixes MUCH harder.

  • Using a button of type=button to execute java code

    Hello,
    I here what I need to do.
    - A user fill a form
    - He press submit
    - the button goes and execute some java code and then refresh the page (same page)
    Now I don't want to use a input=Submit, that call a a servlet that just update the information, and output to the servlet;
         out.println("<html>");
          out.println("<body>");
          out.println("<head>");
          out.println("<meta content=\"1; url=" + "SamePage.jsp" + "\" http-equiv=refresh>");
          out.println("</head>");
          out.println("</body>");
          out.println("</html>");Instead, I would like to do: <INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="Close Window"   onClick="window.close();"> but instead of JavaScript in the onClick it would be JavaCode that would update the object (already instantiated in the JSP) and would then refresh the page.
    Is this possible?
    thanks.

    Hi,
    it is not possible because JSP code is executed server-side, while javascript code is executed client-side (in client's browser).

  • How to write excel file (.xlsx) using file adapter without using java code

    Hi All,
    In soa suite 11g Is there any ways to write the data to the excel ( xlsx ) file using fileadapter and not using java code..Thanks in Advance

    Hi Siva,
    I don't think there is any way to write .xls file directly. You'll have to use some Java API (iText etc.) to create an .xls file. However, you can write .csv file that can be easily converted into .xls at the target end. In MS, it opens as Excel file if delimiter is comma *,*.

  • Where to apply java codes?

    Good Day:
    Perhaps this sound funny....I bought a Java book to learn the coding...pretty interesting...but after all, it didn't tell where can I type and test all those codes.
    After much reading, understand that it should be applied onto the JDK. Am I right? so I went to Java site and downloaded it. But nothing happened? I even borrow some other machine to install the JDK, still the same????
    When I check form control panel, the JDK and JRE successfully install. Pls help. After all, I need to start on where can i test my java codes?
    Many thanks for your reply.

    hellbinder, my apology...i guess you and everyone
    confuse with my question.
    Ok, see, what I need is to type in the code as per
    given in the book i bought. I understand that it got
    to be typing in the JDK in order to be able to test
    it out. So I download the JDK (including JRE & IDE)
    and had it install on my pc. Then now, I still could
    find the JDK (what I think/mean the "text editor"
    here) for me to type in the java codes.
    Or shall I re-phare in in suce, let's imagine, if
    given with a stack of words and fonts, we type in
    note pad may be. then now given with the Java codes,
    where shall i type it? JDK right? thus I installed
    JDK but I couldn't find or launch it to type in those
    Java codes?!
    Thanks!You don't "type in the java codes" in your JDK. You use a texteditor to "type in the java codes" and compile "the java codes" with the compiler from your JDK, and after that you run "the java (byte)codes" with the JRE from your JDK.
    Everything is explained step-by-step in the tutorial I posted earlier. Please take the time to follow those steps.

  • Include PHP and/or JAVA code in any BC site.

    I am thinking about including some PHP and/or JAVA code into my BC site and I was wondering if I am allowed to do this. Just Curious. Thanks.

    That's a shame, because I was thinking about implementing a business search api for my real estate website that was created using business catalyst that allows the collection of all real estate agents in Australia by searching and collecting their information from the Yellow Pages and White Pages directories, and include these information in a database that allows users to search for the real estate agent they want and comment on that agent. This can only be done by integrating some PHP or JAVA code into my BC website.
    So that means that the only way that I can do this is to create a web app that allows users to search for the real estate agent they want to see and comment on that agent, just by entering real estate agents' information into the web app's database and using various BC modules and plugins. Are there other easier ways to do this? Thanks.

    A JSP is not the same as a Java application. A Java application has package statment, import statements, try/catch block, a JSP doesn't.

    Also, try to log the username/password in your authenticator, just to be sure that credentials changeGood piece of advice, michael. Worth of it. When I changed the credentials manually, it worked correctly,but from the application, when I logout from 'a', 'a' and log in to 'b', 'b', I got a valuable information.
    I tried debugging like given below for checking from the application.
    class MyAuthenticator extends Authenticator {
        protected PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication() {
             System.out.println("userrrrrrrrr"+UtilsHTTPS.username);
             System.out.println("pwdddddddddd"+UtilsHTTPS.password);
      .........................................The information I got while debugging from the application was, the username and password does not get printed. It implies that, Authenticator.setDefault(new MyAuthenticator()); does not work as desired ie; even on calling new MyAuthenticator(), it does not get inside the MyAuthenticator class.
    Why does this happen? What is the solution for this?

  • Specifying Schema Location in XML file and not in the Java code

    I have a repository of schema xsd files. When I receive my xml file, I need to validate it against the specified schema. The xml file would declare the schema location, using the following syntax:
    <CERD:CERD xsi:schemaLocation = "..\CERD.xsd" xmlns:CERD = "CERD.xsd" xmlns:xsi = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    Is it really necessary to define the schema location again in the JAVA code? Why set the schemaLocation in the xml file at all then?
    Does anybody have any examples where the schema location is not set in the JAVA code? I am using Java 1.6, and at this point in time I only need to validate. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much for your quick reply. I have made some progress but I am still stumped.
    In my code I am doing this:
    SchemaFactory factory = SchemaFactory.newInstance(XMLConstants.W3C_XML_SCHEMA_NS_URI);
    Schema schema = factory.newSchema();
    Validator validator = schema.newValidator();
    validator.validate(XML_SOURCE);
    I find this works if my schema does not have a target namespace. I have downloaded the following simple example from the internet that uses a target namespace and it fails:
    library1.xsd:
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    targetNamespace="http://example.org/prod"
    xmlns:prod="http://example.org/prod">
    <xsd:element name="product" type="prod:ProductType"/>
    <xsd:complexType name="ProductType">
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="number" type="xsd:integer"/>
    <xsd:element name="size" type="prod:SizeType"/>
    </xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:attribute name="effDate" type="xsd:date"/>
    </xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:simpleType name="SizeType">
    <xsd:restriction base="xsd:integer">
    <xsd:minInclusive value="2"/>
    <xsd:maxInclusive value="18"/>
    </xsd:restriction>
    </xsd:simpleType>
    </xsd:schema>
    <prod:product xmlns:prod="http://example.org/prod"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
              xsi:schemaLocation="library1.xsd"
    effDate="2001-04-02">
    <number>557</number>
    <size>10</size>
    </prod:product>
    I get the following SAXParseException when I validate:
    [line 4, col 36|
    cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'prod:product'.
    Am I doing something wrong with the namespace declaration?

  • Java code and jsp interaction

    Hi,
    How does one interact between java code and jsp page.That is, if the java code does say database connection, the web page should tell that the connection has been made,just like an application but this will work on the web server not in the console.Kindly let me know.
    As

    Just curious but where do these questions come from? A course you are taking or you are building something for a hobby?
    If you are building some small simple web-app it's probably quicker to embed code right onto your JSP page.
    There are various levels of abstracting your web-app separating display from logic from the model.
    The following are techniques from simple web-apps to more complicated ones.
    -Embedding script right into your JSP
    -Using beans
    -Using custom tags ( I think there are some standard ones now, struts seems to be a popular buzzword)
    -Including a servlet to handle your requests redirect, update bean content grab info form your database and forward to a JSP. (Read up on model 2 architecture.)
    To include as much detail as possible would be to write a book. Fortunately many have so I don't have to fit one in this tiny reply box.
    Hope that was somewhat useful.

  • Calling Java code inside JSP page and sending toString on object to Servlet

    Hi.
    I am trying to setup a way to make testing my application easier. Using a web-based method will work best. Here is what I am trying to accomplish:
    - Have a web page that will prompt the user to enter data, fill in text fields, make choices, etc. When done, they press the Submit button. I don't need to keep info between sessions. Just open browser, execute, view results, close browser, repeat.
    - I then want to take this data and use some Java Classes I have to create a Java object.
    - I then want to send the toString() results of this Java object to a known Java servlet. The result of the servlet's actions should be displayed as a response on the screen.
    This is what I currently have (Ignore the
    's - I don't know why they are showing up - its not important):
    Web page:
    <html>
    <head><title>TestGroup</title></head>
    <body>
    <form name=f method=post action=http://localhost:100/Servlet>
    Name: <br>
    Group: <input name=group type=text><br>
    <br>
    <input type=submit value=Submit>
    <input type=reset value=Reset>
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>The Java code in the JSP (where to put it?):
    <%
    Group g = new Group();
    g.setGroupName(request.getParameter("group"));
    String output = g.toString(); // I want this to go to the Servlet.
    %>But, now I am stuck as to how to piece these together. I have some JSP experience, but not quite like this.
    As I said, when the user presses the Submit button, I want to perform the Java code above, and have the results of the toString method sent to the Servlet, plus clear all other parameters (so they are not sent to the servlet).
    Does anyone have any advice/comments? I am open to alternative designs too, this is just the simplest one I could think of. If another JSP page is needed, that's fine too.
    Thanks.
