Claim digger not working on P6 v7 SP1

I have used claim digger fairly regularly but suddenly has stopped working. Ever since I upgraded to v7 SP1 It has not worked. Anyone else had this problem

While my experience with V.7 is quite limited I have seen this in V.6 as well. It is generally a combination of things that resolves the problem some of which you may need IT assistance with if this is not a stand-alone database.
1.) Delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\Primavera Common\Java\BREBootStrap.xml
2.) Run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Primavera Common\Java\dbconfig.cmd and create a new configuration. (requires DB connection info and pubuser password)
3.) Run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Primavera Common\Java\admin.cmd and delete all existing configurations except the new one created in step 2. (requires privuser password)
4.) Run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Primavera Common\Java\dbconfig.cmd and create a new configuration. Assuming you deleted the "Primavera Configuration" in step 3 it should automatically name it this.
5.) Run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Primavera Common\Java\admin.cmd and delete the configuration you created in step 2.
6.) Open P6v7 and attempt to launch Claim Digger. Note that sometimes I have seen it open up behind the client app and have had to alt-tab to bring it to the front.
7.) If it now launches but prompts for a password you should be able to type in your information and connect. To prevent it from asking for a password in the future I have had to do the following:
a.) reset your P6 password to blank (as in no password).
b.) logout and back into P6 with no password.
c.) launch Claim Digger and it should open without prompting for a password.
d.) reset your P6 password back to whatever it was.
e.) logout and back into P6 with your changed password.
f.) test claim digger.
Note that these are the steps I use to resolve this in V.6. As we do not yet run V.7 I do not know if everything is the same.

    Today it was upgraded to SP1 Fix Pack 3 due to some issues with the Excel Formulas - it didn't help to resolve the issue with the showing Formulas in preview and I also discovered the QAAWS not working - either new generated connection or old ones causing the "Unable to load URL error" when I try to load the WSDL.
    Please give me any suggestion what can I try wrt this QAAWS issue.

    I have the same view.
    In BOXI R2 if you took the the URL and pasted it into internet explorer you would see the WSDL. In BOXI 3.1 this does not occur.  A list of newly define queries, or queries that have been re-run in BOXI 3.1 are displayed. The list contains links, but navigating using these links does not display the WSDL.
    I am not sure if not being able to see the WSDL is causing my problem but it would explain the 'null' error. I can also see that QAAWS now creates the URLs with a new format when compared to the BOXI R2 URLs, may be this is causing the problem?

  • SME 7.1 not working with Exchange 2013 SP1 CU6

    Hello, i tried upgrading to SME 7.1 on our Exchange 2013 SP1 CU6, but when trying to configure the Exchange Server in the SME management console using the configuration wizard, it gave an error before the LUN mapping page, saying "Failed to get Exchange information for server" and "The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state.". I upgraded Snapdrive to 7.1, verfied all credentials according to the manuals, re-installed and rebooted multiple times (registry and filesystem cleaned, even tried to rename the existing SnapInfo directory, ...), stopped all other services on the server but without any change... Every time when trying to run the configuration wizard, the debug log shows no errors, lists all Exchange information and ends with the following lines:[11/18 12:51:58 155] Exit CSmeCDOExm::GetExchangeStructureInternal 0x0

  • Some drivers not working in fresh XP SP1 install

    My latest machine is set up for dual boot. The general use OS is XP SP2. The nForce drivers were installed from unified package 5.10. All hardware is working fine, and no problems.
    The OS for digital recording however, is a different story. I'm using XP SP1 installed in a different partition. SP1 is usually recommended over SP2 for music multitracking purposes. I installed the exact same nForce drivers from the same 5.10 package. Device Manager is reporting two problems. The multimedia audio device drivers are not installed, and the Realtek Ethernet drivers are not installed. The nVidia Ethernet device works with no problem. I did not uncheck any options during the driver install.
    So basically, I have no sound, and am only showing one Ethernet device. I've tried re-installing the drivers, but get the same result. Also tried updating the audio drivers through Device Manager, pointing the wizard directly at a folder full of the 4.57 nForce audio drivers which I've downloaded as well. The wizard doesn't even see them.
    Funny how my recording OS is the one with no sound... hehe. Although I doubt it, are there any known issues with unified package 5.10 and XP SP1? Anyone have an idea of what might be happening?
    Let me know if further info is needed.

    I do not know of any issue between SP2 and 5.10. It could just be a bad install of WinXP. I would do a fresh install on that partition again. It should solve the problem.

  • "Graphics Location" functionality not working in CR2008, using SP1 Runtime

    I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 (BuildVersion=12.1.0.883.CR_Mira_RTM). In some of my reports I'm setting the graphic location to a web address. On my development machine this all works fine.
    On my production server I've installed the SP1 Runtime Version (CRRuntime_12_1_mlb.msi)
    and am running the reports via a Dot Net application. The images are not updating with the image from the web location.
    If I then install Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 on that machine, without making any other changes, the images start to update with the image from the web location.
    Can anybody tell me which DLL is being used to grab the image from the web so I can include it in my deployment package? Or can somebody tell me how to get the Graphic Location functionality to work with the Runtime version.
    NOTE: During installation of the Runtime version, it prompts me for a Product ID. I can install the runtime if I leave it blank. I've tried that. I also tried just putting garbage in there and the error message comes back saying it's an invalid product KEY. So I've installed using my Crystal Reports 2008 Product key as well. Still no luck.

    The product key is not coming into play I this case. Having said that, I am not sure what the issue may be, however you may be able to track down the dll by using the following utilities:
    1) Modeules.exe, which can be downloaded from here:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip
    2) Process Monitor, which can be downloaded from here:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
    Modules will allow you to compare the dlls on a server that has CRW32.exe and a system that had only the runtime. Process Monitor, may report a missing dll in it's logs.
    Now, while it may be useful to find out the above, this being a web app typically means you need to install it on a limited number of servers, possibly just one? Since it is working now, it may be worth considering the ROI on figuring out the runtime(?). E.g.; it may not be worth the effort? If licensing is the worry, simply delete the CRW32.exe and you've eliminated the issue.

  • Lync integration not working after Exchange 2013 SP1 is installed...

    Hi,
    I have two Exchange 2013 servers running and everything is fine, almost.
    The problem is that on the first server we had OWA with Lync integration working before installing SP1, but after the installation of SP1, it doesn't Work any more.
    The second server was installed with SP1 from the start, but we can't get the Lync integration to Work on this one either..
    When we log in to OWA, it just starts to sign in but then says "there was a problem signing in, if this continues please contact your helpdesk"
    I have checked the Exchange server for events, and i can see the event ID 112 everytime i recycle the Application Pool, so there are some connection between Exchange and Lync..
    Have any of you Guys seen or experienced any thing like this?

  • 3.01 patch not working under Vista 64 SP1 ?

    Hi,
    Under Vista64 SP1; launching "Audition 3.0.1 Patch Setup.exe" shows a first dialog box for language selection... after clicking "OK" nothing happens.
    Launching "instmsiw.exe" brings up a dialog box which displays "Wrong OS or OS version for application"
    Launching "components.msi" starts the installation, but stops with a message "The wizard was interupted before Adobe Audition 3.01 Patch could be completely installed"
    Any advice ?

    I just installed Primavera 6 (P6) on my computer at work.
    The tool, Claim digger wont work.
    When I click on it, it seems to load just for a second and nothing happens.
    I re-installed the program and it still did not work.

    - installing works fine,
    - is there a similar solution for winXP too?
    - printer is online, tried the "setting to 50" in the registry without success
    at least we try to print/convert a tif file with it but it does not show up.
    the testing was done on a winXP and win7 system with the same bad results.
    uploading manually when logged in on acrobat.com is possible.
    there is no error message coming up, on the network monitor the file seems to be sent.
    since the tif files did not work we tried jpg and docx without success. is there anything apart from the regedit solution on winXP or rerunning installation/repairing procedure that could be done to make it work?
    would be great if somebody would have a suggestion what elso could be done.

    meanwhile I got some new information
    when I open the spooler information window the file appears to be printed but after the upload is complete it switches to "error"
    i checked the printer settings but changing between the following options does not have an effect.
    since I changed the options back and forth some times the menu would not let me confirm changes so I have to stick to that "lead to printer directly" - option

  • Primavera P6v7 use with Claim Digger

    I'm having trouble getting Claim Digger to work correctly. Is Claim Digger only associated with the PMDB database or can I create other databases within primavera and have claim digger work?

    Try the following:
    1. Look for the admin.cmd file, which is usually in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Primavera Common\Java\admin.cmd
    2. Run admin.cmd
    3. Login as privuser.
    3. In the Database section of your current configuration, change the name of the database for the Instance 1 Database URL.
    4. Click on "Save Changes" at the bottom right.
    5. Log back into Project Management and run Claim Digger

  • Canoscan 9950F still not working with 11/26 fix from Canon

    Just reported this to Canon. Image Capture and VueScan both work. I can get the scanner to work on a MBP but not on the G4 iMac .... except on a fresh install and only one user account. I you create a 2nd user (not even migrate data, just create a 2nd user), the Canon Toolbox appears to lose its pathing to the scanner driver. Bizarre.
    I've deleted the TWAIN driver manually and using the Canon utility (from the web site). I've installed, reinstalled, uninstalled every combination of Toolbox and TWAIN driver imaginable. So it's back with Canon .... close but

    This may not help you, but here is what I found.
    I have a Flatscreen G4 iMac 1.2G. I have had no end of trouble with the USB ports since moving to Leopard.
    The first problem I had was that TimeMachine would not work with my Seagate 500G FreeAgent disk. Sometimes it would not mount, file corruption etc. Thought I had a stuffed USB adaptor.
    Somewhere amongst this greif I notice that my Canon LIDE50 scanner would not work any more.
    There are numerous threads around the place on this issue. This scanner is claimed to not work with Leopard. Anyway, at this point I disconnected the scanner and also upgraded to 10.5.1. TimeMachine now works fine.
    Since then, the scanner has been on our MacBook Pro using BootCamp. I did try Vuescan, it does work, but I'd rather use the Canon tools for what I'm doing.
    Tonight I did a bit of poking around to make sure all the files for the scanner installed in the right places. During this process I notice the USB disk had gone missing again. To cut a long story short, the USB disk and the Canon LIDE50 scanner are mutually exclusive. Plug only the scanner in, it works. Plug only the disk in, it works. Plug them both in, neither work! At this point I'm shutting down and restarting to change them over, but at least I have a work around.

    I created an Infopath 2010 Forms published on a Claims-based authentication site collection. This form has an external datasource plugged on the
    _vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx webservice (within the same site collection). This datasource is queried when the form opens. When I check this form with Infopath designer preview, everything works fine.
    But once this forms is published, an error "Error while trying to contact Web Service" occured when opening a new form.
    Here ere an extract of the logs:
    The following query failed: GetUserProfileByName (User: DOMAIN\username, Form Name: library, IP: , Connection Target: , Request: http://server/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?xsnLocation=http://server/library/forms/template.xsn?DefaultItemOpen=1&Source=http://server/page.aspx, Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:library:-myXSD-2010-01-12T23-08-28 Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
    Server was unable to process request. ---> Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation.
    The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.)
    Here is an extract of my IIS log:

    If we set the web application authentication mode in "Classic mode", everything work fine
    As soon as we set "Claim mode authentication", we reproduce the issue and this even if we are using a Windows integrated  account or an external account (SQL Memberships, Claims/AD)
    We reproduce this issue in different SharePoint FARM.
    It seems that this issue is generic with "Claims mode authentication" and i'm not shure that other forum can help us.
    How can I make this WebService works for my form?

    I am not sure but a Code Solution might work ... I assume InfoPath 2010 is not Claims-Based aware.

  • ITunes will not work on Fresh INstall of Vista x64 SP1

    I have a strange issue. I have a Windows Vista x64 with SP1 (Yes the DVD is a production DVD from Microsoft not a slip stream copy.) and I wanted to do a fresh install of Vista with SP1. Reinstalled OS and everything is running great but iTunes. When I start iTunes I get this error message about "mssip32.dll" being damaged or corrupt please reinstall the app. So I looked around good old Google and apple.com. I found several fixes about re-registering a set of dll files. So did them all, no change. Reinstalled Vista from scratch again, no change. So for the heck of it I reinstalled Vista with no SP1 installed and then applied SP1 and it works fine. I reinstalled Vista with SP1 and have been running it for over a week and everything on the system is tested and solid as a rock with no issues. The only program that will not work is iTunes. I have also tried all the way back to version 7.4 and no luck.
    Any ideas on this?

  • Search in Sharepoint Foundation 2013 sp1 do not work

    When we type anything in any search bar, the result is “Sorry, something went wrong” with Correlation ID:
    aa0fb79c-5878-d0b4-2016-c1ebc17f3336.
    The server was originally installed with the 2013 Foundation beta version on a 2008 R2 server (single server installation). The content was migrated from a MOSS 2007 installation using “Quest Migration Suite for Sharepoint. The search
    feature has never worked.
    We upgraded to Sp1 (version 15.0.4571.1502) yesterday. The search did still not work.
    We checked the crawl status. It had been running for some 9000 hours. We stopped it and started it again. It was still running after 24 hours so we stopped it again.
    Under Monitoring / Review Problems and solutions a new problem appeared indicating that the index was fragmented. We hit the button above “Solve the issue” (or what it is called) and the error went away.
    To be sure we also went to “Search Service Application: Index Reset” and hit reset. After a while of “Working on it”, a page with the text “Sorry, something went wrong”
    appear with error message as below:
    There was no endpoint listening at net.tcp://sp-server/8E2ECE/AdminComponent1/Management/NodeController that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP
    action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
    So we are really not sure wether the index was correctly reset.
    Going back to the crawl overview, a new crawl had been started. Having a look under Search
    Service Application: Crawl Reports - Crawl Rate, statistics as below:
    Crawl rate (dps) 0
    Total items 34
    Modified items 0
    Not modified items 0
    Security items 0
    Deleted items 0
    Retries 28
    Errors 6
    The crawl appears to be hanging somewhere here.
    What actions should I take?

    I have tried to reset the iPad and have tried turning the rotate lock on and off, but the iPad still will not rotate. Do I need to bring it to a service center for repair? Or is there something I am missing? Please help. This is very frustrating!
