how it will be considered in financials. Is there any setting off for this balance with consumption.

When you read through that thread, did you see where I linked to and quoted the licensing definitions
Processor: shall be defined as all processors where the Oracle programs are installed and/or running. Programs licensed on a processor basis may be accessed by your internal users (including agents and contractors) and by your third party users. For the purpose of counting the number of processors which require licensing for a Sun UltraSPARC T1 processor with 4, 6 or 8 cores at 1.0 gigahertz or 8 cores at 1.2 gigahertz for only those servers specified on the Sun Server Table which can be accessed at http://oracle.com/contracts , “n” cores shall be determined by multiplying the total number of cores by a factor of .25. For the purposes of counting the number of processors which require licensing for AMD and Intel multicore chips, “n” cores shall be determined by multiplying the total number of cores by a factor of .50. For the purposes of counting the number of processors which require licensing for all hardware platforms not otherwise specified in this section, a multicore chip with "n" cores shall be determined by multiplying "n" cores by a factor of .75. All cores on all multicore chips for each licensed program for each factor listed below are to be aggregated before multiplying by the appropriate factor and all fractions of a number are to be rounded up to the next whole number. When licensing Oracle programs with Standard Edition One or Standard Edition in the product name, a processor is counted equivalent to a socket.
It appears that you fall under the "not otherwise specified" category because you're not dealing with an UltraSPARC T1 (multiplier 0.25) or an AMD/ Intel chip (multiplier 0.5) so your multiplier would be 0.75.
0.75 * 2 cores = 1.5 processors which would have to be rounded up to 2 processors. If you had 4 total cores, you would only need a 3 processor license.

How to delete the queries in BW Production which are no longer existing.

Hi,
How to delete the queries in BW production which are no longer existing in DEV.
1. I tried Using RSZDELETE in Production it is not getting deleted and the below message given.
Query object 4A7V83T3RB4ABIOKSDJT2HWDL is blocked. Deletion has been cancelled.
2. I tried creating another query in dev with the same technical name and send a transport with deletion
it is not working.
Please advise me on this for any function module or any other method.

Hi,
If you transported the query from DEV and now you want to delete it, you should open a BEx request (Dev Class under which it was originally transported -- or-- Standard - type) in DEV delete the query and move the transport to Production.
As far as your error is concerned, usually when you can delete a query using the delete option in query designer itself,
Business Explorer> query-> delete objects , when you press execute the system offers you a list of dependent objects on the query(workbook,views), in case the sysytem is unable to delete them i.e.they being used as a input query for a characteristic variable (replacement path),then system throws this error.You can delete these all depndents under there prescribed roles , fav s & then proceed.

How to find out the Queries Generated for a particular ods?

Hi all,
There are atleast 10 queries generated for a Particular ODs zyyyyy. I would like to know what are the queries generated for a particular ods.
I have used the where use list of the ods. But it did not displayed the queries generated for that ods.
I have looked at the bex query for that ods but cant find any query being generated on that ods??
Is there any way to find out what are the queries generated for a particular ods?

Hello Haritha,
Please follow the path.
Go to RSA1 -> Metadata Repository ->DataStore Objects(ODS) -> Find you DSO(ODS) there and click on that, you will get all the details(Queries, Objects - Char, Key figures, update rules,etc..) related to that particular DSO(ODS), same is the case for Cube as well.
Please assign points.

To make Excel sheets from sqlplus, you can use the markup html tag in sqlplus.

Downloading the Queries(SAP QUERY) via Background to Excel sheet

Is it possible to download the Queries into an Excel Format via Background onto the Application Server / Presentation Server in the Excel format.
If Possible, Please provide me the solution.

It is not possible to download Query results to Excel in background. (Where would you put the file name, for starters?) But you might be able to get output in a spool, which can then be saved in a plain text file and then uploaded to Excel.

How to maintain order of execution of the Queries in Data Model

Hi,
I have 5 queries in the Data Model
Query_1 will fetch some values based on the selection criteria and inserts values in a table(say Table_1) using a formula column
The other queries will fetch data from DB using the records in Table_1
The problem now i am facing is Query_2|Query_3|Query_4|Query_5 is being executed before Query_1
How can we maintain the order of execution
Any help will be appreciated

No there is no join between Q_1 and other queries
all the queries are individually hanging in the data model
moreover we cannot have a Master-Detail kinda relasionship in this case
please give me some suggestions

SSAS -- Having the issues when writing the queries

Need help on SSAS Queries ..
1. We have a cube with ROLAP Storage and dimension is having the MOLAP Storage.
We are facing the data discrepancy issues .. So , we are writing the corresponding sql queries at semantic side to test data .....
But when we write the queries . the data is not matcing and we tace teh query , it is issuing the distinct for some of the feilds ...
Please help on which basis they are taking the distinct ..

Disabling the queries option via RRMX

Hello Experts,
I need to disable the queries option which we get when we click on the folders option after executing tcode RRMX.
This is required in order to restrict the reporting user to execute queries.He should not be able to see this queries option. Can someone please guide me with this,how can I actually implement this restriction.

There is an authorization to the transaction RRMX in a role provided to your users.
Just remove that option of the role (or if all of its contents in the role is only the access to the transaction RRMX remove the all role from the users).

Is there any best way to determine the Queries which uses Berfore Aggregation properies like any table which has information of all the calculated key figures which uses Before aggregation properties.

Want to differentiate the queries

I have the Master Table
PARTS
TotalSize ----- TotalPrice

In the Query,
I will get the details of the Subcategory
Id -- 12
Size - 295 [147+148]
price -- 10.3
Iwant to check the TotalSize and TotalPrice from the Master Table and need to show it in the different
parts.....For example

I once again tell u clearly what i need.
I need the csize,totalsubcount,COUNT(table_2.id),PARTS
The relationship between the tables are
TABLE_1 is not related to other two tables........ [just i want to check the totalsize and totalsubcount from that table]
TABLE_2 [table2_id PK]
TABLE_3 [TABLE_3.table2_id reference to the TABLE_2(table_2_id)]
Please help me in this.....
