ClassLoader conflict when re-deploying

Hello!
I have the following problem with JDeveloper 11g and standalone WL 10gR3:
When application is re-deployed, I am getting a class casting exception for MDSSession instance because of class loaders conflict (for old and new apps, I suppose). Any hints how to resolve it?
I tried to move mdsrt.jar to domain's lib directory (higher level class loader would be used), but it has many dependencies, so it doesn't look like a practical solution.

It happens after every re-deployment. Run Clean Server - Deploy - Login - Re-Deploy - Login - Exception.
Of course, I can drop application down and deploy it again, but it is hardly acceptable for production. Testing is also slowed down a little because of it.
Here is the stack trace, by the way:
oracle.mds.exception.MDSRuntimeException: MDS-00090: Error in JNDI lookup operation on MDSInstance name ADFApplication1, JNDI name oracle-mds-ADFApplication1-ADFApplication1: object found oracle.mds.core.MDSInstance@1b9996f is an instance of class oracle.mds.core.MDSInstance classloader weblogic.utils.classloaders.ChangeAwareClassLoader@1b871b0 finder: weblogic.utils.classloaders.CodeGenClassFinder@1146724 annotation: [email protected], expected an instance of class oracle.mds.core.MDSInstance classloader weblogic.utils.classloaders.ChangeAwareClassLoader@13ef40d finder: weblogic.utils.classloaders.CodeGenClassFinder@6bc8cb annotation: [email protected].

  • Classloader issue when deploying a war file

    Hello,
    Using Jdev 11.1.1.3 with WebLogic 10.3.2.0 when we deploy a new version of our war file we get a ClassCastException for an entity class that cannot be cast on itself ! We are using standalone JPA for persistence.
    Caused by: javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.ClassCastException: gouv.micc.intimm.pers.model.entite.Personne cannot be cast to gouv.micc.intimm.pers.model.entite.Personne
    It looks like a classloader cache issue. This happend even if we first delete the war file before we upload a new one. The only way to solve this is to restart WebLogic. Any idea?

    Seems like a WebLogic issue - try asking on that forum:

    You have you references and dependecies wrong. Very few, if any of us, are clairvoyant.
    If you really want to to get help; and there is someone who feels they want to help and has the requisite understanding... you need to provide a proper and complete explanation of your dependencies and setup.
    You need to get your references right and dependencies right.

    Unfortunately, this is normal behaviour for WLS 8.1.
    I personally find this to be a non-robust design. I have 10-15 apps per domain, why kill the whole domain for one bad deployment? I am going to open a change request with BEA.

  • Classloader Exception when using JSSE within WL 6.1 SP4

    I am trying to use JSSE to create my own SSL listener within weblogic. It works
    fine when I use it outside weblogic but I seem to run into a wierd classloader
    issue when I try to bring up the listener, from within weblogic, as part of a
    startup class.
    From what I can tell, weblogic seems to load some classes from the com.RSA.jsafe
    that are potentially unsigned or has a different signature than the classes that
    are loaded from jsse jar. This happens only when weblogic's SSL port is enabled.
    Anyone know how to get around this? The only way I was able to get around this
    is by specifying
    "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider" as the first security provider in the
    java.security file but I would like to avoid this, if possible.
    java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: class com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.JSA_RSAKeyFactory

    Hi Yatin,
    I cannot comment on whether you have taken the correct approach but if you are
    not running Service Pack 2 I believe there are a couple of JSSE fixes in it.

    Hi,
    I am attaching a small servlet that I wrote and tested on a Tomcat server
    that
    uses JSSE and HTTPS to communicate with an authentication server. Once,
    I had
    JSSE properly configured under Tomcat the code worked just fine. However,
    when
    I deployed the servlet on a WebLogic 6.1 server (all the three jar files
    jcert.jar,
    jnet.jar, and jsse.jar are in the servers class path and a security provider
    has
    been added to the java.security file for the JDK) I am not getting any
    certificates
    from the authentication server and I also get the following exception
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '403: Forbidden' for url: 'https://<authentication
    server url>
    Am I forgetting something? What is the suggested process for using JSSE
    with WebLogic
    6.1?
    Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    If you're using OC4J standalone, use the latest available OC4J, 10.1.3.3.
    If you're using a manage OC4J, ie. Application Server, upgrade to the latest available version and upgrade your JDK. The provided JDK might be outdated.

    Hi Experts,
    When I run my Application in Portal, i am getting the following error.
    Type conflict when calling a function module., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
    When I execute the BAPI, it is getting executed.
    My Bapi Strucute:
    Import Parameters
    IM_MAT_Search --> ZPTIP_MAT --> Import Parameters
    Tables
    IT_INFO_REC --> ZMM_GET_ITEM --> Output Parameters
    When I import the model, i am getting the structure like this
    BAPI_Name > ZMM_BAPI_Input> IM_MAT_Search(respective Parameters) , Output (respective Tables and their parameters)
                        > ZMM_Input1> Parameters
    This is the way, how i am executing in webdynpro java

  • Error Dynamic type conflict when assigning references in EHP4

    Hi Experts,
    We are facing problem while customizing application wizard in EHP4.
    Based on our requirement, we need to create one more tab named "Notes" to add instructions for applicants while applying for Job. It contains only instruction. To achieve this, we have done below set up.
    1. We have created new WD component (WD window), OTR Alias
    2. Created one more additional steps in T77RCF_RM_STEP called "Notes" and maintained step 1 information
    3. In table T77RCF_RM_SEQ, under Application wizard (employee), we have added notes in sequence 1.
    Now our new tab "Notes" is reflecting in application wizard. But while cliking on send application, we are getting error "The following error text was processed in the system GEG : Dynamic type conflict when assigning references".
    Error Details:-
    u2022     The following error text was processed in the system GEG : Dynamic type conflict when assigning references
    u2022     The error occurred on the application server sapgeg_GEG_59 and in the work process 0 .
    u2022     The termination type was: RABAX_STATE

  • Currency Symbol displays correctly locally, but not when I deploy to server

    Hi have some number fields, where I set the control hint on the view to Currency format. When I run locally, everything displays properly: $1,234.56
    But when I deploy my application to our development server, the $ is coming up as a ¤1,234.56. This happens to all my currency fields, not matter what object is displaying it.
    I've seen one other post that talks about using a numberConverter tag everytime I display the values, but I'd prefer to stick with "best practice" of using the control hints. Especially since it works fine locally, I have to think this is some sort of server side setting that I am missing. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here?

    The ¤ symbol is a "neutral" currency symbol, it is used if no locale can be determined (no matter if you are using control hints or converters). Try setting a default local to your application on the faces-config.xml file.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
    <faces-config version="1.2" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee">
      <application>
        <default-render-kit-id>oracle.adf.rich</default-render-kit-id>
        <locale-config>
          <default-locale>en</default-locale>
          <supported-locale>en</supported-locale>
        </locale-config>
      </application>
    </faces-config>Hope this helps.

  • I'm getting the below issue when I try to deploy a report with Dynamic parameters, when I deploy it with static parameters I'm not getting this issue.

    I’m getting the below issue when I try to deploy a crystal report with Dynamic parameters in BI Launch Pad, when I deploy the same report with static parameters I can deploy and run it. I have Restarted the BI server, still the issue exitno use. kindly help me on this issue.
    “This error occurred: Adding Crystal Report "CrystalReport1.rpt" failed. The server with kind rptappserver returned an error result. Failed to copy the report file to the report object. Refreshing the report object properties might have failed. Failed to read data from report file CrystalReport1. Reason: Failed to read parameter object”.

    BO does not run dynamic params through the report as would happen without BusinessObjects (BO) or Crystal Reports Server (CRS).  When you publish a report with dynamic parameters to BO/CRS, the prompt is published to the repository so that it can be accessed through the Business View Manager (which can be installed as part of the client tools).  In order for this to work a couple of things need to happen:
    1.  You need to be sure that you check the "Update Repository" box on the Save As screen the first time you publish the report.
    2.  Your BO/CRS user needs to have "view" access to the Crystal2013ReportApplicationServer in the Servers section in the CMC - in fact, the Everyone group should be given view access to the server in order for dynamic prompts to work correctly.
    3.  In the Business View Manager, the Administrator user needs to give your user, or, even better, a Crystal Developers group full control access to the "Dynamic Cascading Prompts" folder.
    Best practice for dynamic prompts in a BO/CRS environment is to actually create the prompts in the Business View Manager.  This will allow you to create a single data connection that can be reused and also create lists of values such that the same list or prompt can be reused by multiple reports.  If you just create the prompts in Crystal, you will end up with multiple data connections to the same database, the prompts will use the whole query for the reports to get the dynamic values instead of just a focused query to the lookup table that contains the values, and there ends up being lots of duplication and chaos.
