ClassNotFoundException occoured when attempting to load Oracle Driver in jsp
I am using oracle 9i server.here is the code that i have try
Connection connection = null;
try
// Load the JDBC driver
String driverName = "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver";
Class.forName(driverName);
// Create a connection to the database
String serverName = "127.0.0.1";
String portNumber = "1521";
String sid = "mydatabase";
String url = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@" + serverName + ":" + portNumber + ":" + sid;
String username = "username";
String password = "password";
connection = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password);
catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
// Could not find the database driver
} catch (SQLException e)
// Could not connect to the database
can i have to set classpath for this, pls help me.

Do not modify the serverclasspath in WebServer 6.1.
Add the path to the driver to the classpathsuffix attribute.
change
classpathsuffix=""
to
classpathsuffix="/usroracle/driver/classes12.zip" (Unix)
or
classpathsuffix="C:/Oracle/driver/classes12.zip" ( Windows )
Replace the path in the example with the actual path to the driver file.
HTH,
Hari.

PS: Sorry for my english.

Yes, the Oracle driver jar/zip file has to be in the classpath of the webapp or the server.
For webapp, drop the jar file in the webapp's WEB-INF/lib.
For server, add it to server-classpath or drop it in <instance-dir>/lib

• Attempt to load Oracle client libraries threw BadImageFormatException. This problem will occur when running in 64 bit mode with the 32 bit Oracle client components installed.

Hello guys,
Problem has been solved -
Attempt to load Oracle client libraries threw BadImageFormatException. This problem will occur when running in 64 bit mode with the 32 bit Oracle client components installed.
1. If you install 64 bit oracle this is not an issue. Install 64 bit oracle.
2. Download odp.net 32 bit from below link:-
ODP.NET Managed Driver Beta Download</title><meta name="Title" content="ODP.NET Managed Driver B…
3. installed the odp.net.
4. open the visual studio 2010.
5.Select new - project - asp.net web application - project name -ok
6.select tools- > connect to database- then follow the following steps
i> user name - your user name/client username (example -- hr)
ii> password -- enter your password/client password (example- hr)
iii>select connection type -- if you want to connect client database then- select EZ connect other wise select tns
iv>test the connection- then you will get connection succeed.
v> then click ok
Thanks
Chandrashekhar

You do not need to do anything in VS. You do need to configure both tnsnames.ora files, because the drivers do not share any data.

• Cann't load Oracle driver from servlet

I develop a servlet with VisualAge.
This code works fine:
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
String url = "jdbc:odbc:SCOTT";
Connection con = java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(url, "SCOTT", "TIGER");
But I cann't load Oracle driver. I suppose it is path problem. In option of my application I have set path to
classes12.zip, nls_charset12.zip and rt.jar.
But there isn't option ClassPath for Servlet in VisulaAge.
What can I do?

What do you use to test your servlet?
In Visual Age, i use WTE (WebSphere Test Environement). You can find it in WorkSpace - Tools - WTE.
In WTE, click on servlet engine. You have 4 buttons on the right (sorry i use the french version so i do not know theirs english label) use the last one to change classpath.

• Load oracle driver

Hello;
i got a problem to load the orocle driver, could anyone tell how to do that, thanks.
The oracle driver is sit in "C:\apps\Oracle".
when I run my code, then it tell me that Could not load the oracle driver.
The following is my code for load the driver.
//try to load the driver
try {
Class.forName("C:apps.oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
System.out.println( "Cannot load the Oracle driver. Include it in your classpath.");
System.exit( -1);
}

You are confusing class name with class path.
The class is inside the driver jar. The driver jar needs to be in the classpath available to the application when it runs.
Class.forName() will load the named class.
In other words, you need to make sure your classpath is properly set (outside of Java), and the Class.forName() line should be exactly this:
Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");

We tested for RedHat and SUSE - for the first OS it worked fine but for SUSE I got:Either the standard pointer problems leading to a spurious error or some subtle OS difference.
SIGFPEThat is a pretty specific signal. If the C++ code is not mucking around with numerics then it would suggest a pointer problem. If numerics are involved then that would be the first place to start (noting again that pointer problems can cause spurious errors.)

• 1120 error when attempting to load and play sounds

I'm attempting to load and play a sound (which seems quite
basic) but I am getting an 1120 error. Could anyone please help me
figure out what I'm doing wrong?
var hitSound:Sound = new Sound();
var reqHitSound:URLRequest = new URLRequest("myAudio.mp3");
hitSound.load(reqHitSound);
hitSound.play();
1120: Access of undefined property hitSound
1120: Access of undefined property reqHitSound

Yes, the mp3 is good and the path is correct. I'll put my
complete code below.
The error I get is:
1120: Access of undefined property hitSound. (line 14 -
hitSound.load(reqHitSound);)
1120: Access of undefined property reqHitSound. (line 14 -
hitSound.load(reqHitSound);)
1120: Access of undefined property hitSound. (line 15 -
hitSound.play();)
Its almost like the code doesn't feel I've really defined
hitSound as a Sound.
Help please? Am I missing a component?

• I am getting a "java.lang.RuntimeException: Error loading file:....NULL content-length." message when attempting to load a jnlp file

I am the applications administrator for an instance of Galaxy server. UPDATE
Compiling from command line I found out that the class definition for oracle.oats.scripting.modules.basic.api.IteratingVUserScript is missing. Do you know what .jar file contains this class?

• Disk Utility "Input - Output error" when attempting to erase Hard Drive

Hope that someone can point me in the right direction.
I bought an external hard drive for Windows a year back and loaded music onto it. I realized that I my MAC wasn't getting "Read / Write" privileges for the External Hard Drive, so I decided to try to Partition it and make it into a FAT readable device. It erased all data from my hard drive, but Disk Utility stopped the process and displayed an "input - output error".
Consequently, I can't initialize the external hard drive to make it usable on my MAC.
Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can "reformat" my external?
Thanks!

Hi all,
I'm having similar issues on a white macbook (2006 model). I ran into some trouble with it about a month ago, when on booting up, it showed only the folder with a question mark. Booting up from the original grey install DVD worked, so I thought the problem was most likely a faulty hard drive.
It's only after having this problem, that I came across this recall for possible faulty hard drives, that Apple offered:
http://www.apple.com/support/macbook/hd/repairextension/
Doh! Too late?
So, I got onto ebay and picked up a deal and received my new hard drive yesterday. I swapped out the original 80GB with 320GB, only to find the same input/output error described by the OP, here (also in a couple of other Apple discussion posts - see below).
Disk utility shows the new hard drive to be 2.3TB in size! Should be 320GB - but, this is also what others have described. See e.g.,:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/16090313#16090313
I've run the extended testing from the CD (holding down 'D' on boot-up) and it reported no problems. Also, similar to others experiences:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/16081818#16081818
So, what can the problem be?!?!?!?!?
In this post, JMPC suggests it has something to do with the size of the new internal hard drive....groan.....:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/16145560?tstart=0#16145560?tstart=0
Can anyone confirm this?

• Error when attempting to add Oracle Text using DBCA

Hi all -
I'm trying to add Oracle Text to my 10gR1 database using DBCA. The Oracle Text option is available, but when I attempt to add it I get the error message: "A tablespace for the database option Oracle Text is not found. Cannot install this option in the database." I have a SYSAUX tablespace, which I believe is the default tablespace for Text, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. I also tried manually adding Oracle Text by running catctx.sql but received the error message:

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
