Click to scroll to a point of the stage on a parallax website using edge commons

Hi Edge community,
I need help to finish a parallax website that I created using the edgecommons library.
this is what I've done up till now:

I'd like to add the possibility to smoothly scroll to a certain point/percentage of the scrollbar by clicking on a link in a (future) fixed navbar instead of using the mouse wheel.
Which is the best way to achive this?

lol, I went and tried the getPixel() method for it, but using Stage.getPixel(100,100) or _root.getPixel(100,100) returned undefined.
So I did more research, and I found bitmap.draw(), too bad I could have just checked the forum again. :3

Geting the color that's on a point on the stage

I have multiple objects on the stage that are all different
colors and
opacities, these objects are also moving around, so the
colors are changing
as objects pass through each other. I want to be able to find
out what
color is currently at a point on the stage.
I've tried trace(_level0.getPixel(200, 200).toString(16));
and all it
returns is "undefinded".
Does anyone know how or if this can be done?

It is now confirmed that iWeb, and iDVD, has been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
It now appears that the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought.
Personally, if I didn't already have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.

Rotate an image after clicking two times on reference points on the picture

Hello Community!
I am looking for a solution to rotate an image by clicking on two reference points on the image. The two coordinate pairs of the mouse clicking can give me the rotation angle with simple geometry. After that I will rotate the image with the calculated angle.
My problem is: How can I get those two coordinate pairs? I wanted to do it with an easy MatlabScript "input: path ... imread(path) ... imshow ... ginput(2) ... calculation ...output: angle". Apparently imshow doesnt work in Labview
I already have the Mouse Down event but I dont know how I can make Labview let me click EXACTLY and ONLY two times on my picture and store the coordinates.
Does anyone of you have a glue/ hint how to do that?

Further, I would put the Event Structure in the While Loop, where I wait for user input, collect the user inputs and finish (execute rotation on a two-element array).

Can someone please help. My IPhoneS stopped working right after I did the latest update which was yesterday. Now, the phone does not work at all. When turned on, the screen shows a picture of USB cable pointing to the ITunes logo. I have tried just about everything, and cannot get it working. It's like it is frozon. My ITunes does not recognize my device. Cannot dial out either. I desperately need to get it working. Can someone please help me.

The update did not do anything.
AT&T cannot and will not do anything, they do not provide support for iPhones, Apple does.
The issue is not with the iPhone or iOS if you've reset network settings and tried forgetting the Wi-Fi Network, it is specific to the network.
Check the settings on the router, try disabling the security settings first... that will clarify the issue is not with the device but rather the Network.

I only have audio for the videos on apple's website using Safari?

I can only hear the audio on apple's website to their videos. I have the newest quicktime update and I'm not sure why it won't play. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Try another browser. If that works, then you'll know for sure it's a Safari issue.

I do a search. I click on one of the results. Upromise open up with a "Continue" or "Log In". I click on "Continue" and it goes to the Upromise logon page. It used to take me to the site I selected.

Scrolling to a point whislt being able to change direction

Hi people, I need to build a scrolling page where there are
some static buttons on one side, when clicked the buttons scroll to
a certain point on a picture. I can do this with some simple
buttons and simple actionscript, however what I want to achieve is
whilst scrolling to one point on the picture the user can click on
another button and the scroller changes direction to where the user
has just clicked to go. For an example see

You should also look at the CornerEffects sample script which allows you t apply an effect to selected corners. It was designed to run on a rectangle, so you should remove the exisiting corner effects before running it to get predictable results. Runiing it more than once or on a non-rectangular object can produce some very wild shapes, though, so go ahead and play.
And of course there's always the Pen Tool and the Direct Select tool that can be used to modify the existing corner points.

Using mouse event for right click or scroll

I would like someone to guide me that if there is any events which can be used for right click of the mouse or the scroll of the mouse(specially the scroll). Until now all the mouse event i have been using is based on the left mouse click, release...... So could anyone guide me how to use the right click and scroll of the mouse using actionscript.

You should try searching the forums using the key terms related to what you are after. I don't think you'll find much help for the right click though... appears to not be supported by Flash. How do I connect a user account to a server's share points when the user is on the same Mac as the Lion Server?

I've installed and configured Lion Server on an old iMac that suddenly became available when I upgraded to a new iMac. I've got a share point on there. It was easy. Love it.
My bookkeeper comes into my office once a week and works on that iMac. He already has a regular user account set up there. He needs to access the sharepoint that is on that iMac he's using, and which is now running Lion Server. But I can't see the server from his account, and I can't manually connect to it - I get an error to connect locally on the Mac instead.
But I can't navigate to the point in the user account that I'm using as a file serving account to get him access to the directory I'm sharing.
So, in short, how does a local user on an iMac running Lion Server connect to the server's sharepoints?

All drives are now listed under volumes both local and remote.

I use "MouseEvent e" and then I use "e.getX () and e.getY ()" and it compiles well
but when I execute the program they make errors.

Hiding the Stage Titlebar in Director 11

I just spent about an hour searching the Director forums to find out how to hide/unhide the titlebar while the published projector is running.
There were two suggestions.
     window("stage").titlebarOptions.visible = false
     _movie.displayTemplate.titlebarOptions.visible = false
Neither works for me. The projector always defaults to whatever was originally set in Properties.
Once the projector is running, is there a way to hide/unhide the titlebar?

This is one of those bugs that I am certain has a very simple answer — yet it eludes me.
I have Windows XP Professional and am creating a projector in Director 11. The screen size is 800 x 600 with a visible titlebar and a field for displaying text. The code is shown below.
I publish the projector and then run that projector. When I click the screen, the text 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 1 appears in the field, indicating that the value of window("stage").titlebarOptions.visible is changing, but the window titlebar itself remains visible throughout.
Do I need to refresh the window somehow? Or perhaps I am missing an Xtra? (I'm using a stub projector with the Xtras in a separate Xtras folder.)
Even worse, even in runtime, when I use --- put window("stage").titlebarOptions --- what I get is this.

Which does not reflect the currect window at all, for I do have a closebox, minimizebox, minimizebox
