Client Value to be Exchanged !!!!

Hi all
 I have modified the Portal Logon Page for accomdate a new CLIENT field(basically a Drop Down).
 I have written a System Resolving Service that resolves the iView to a particular Back End System at run time..
 In the System Resolving Service(CLass), I have to get the Value of the selected Client(from the Drop Down)...
 What would be the Best Way to achieve this???? Please Advice !!!

The solutinons to value mapping during exchanging

Howdy!
Here's the general senario:
We got a 3rd party system named KS and a local R3 system called RS. We have a interface that send invoice data from KS to RS. But the customer number from KS is different from RS customer number, so we need not noly the structure/format mapping but also the value mapping during exchanging procedure.
Anyone got a proper solution to this problem?

1. 2 problems with value mappings:
- if you don't use value mapping replication you will have to add all of them
(one by one) to a table in directory - very time consuming
- you cannot have two records with the same value pointing to one target value !
(so if in one system two numbers will mean one number in SAP this will not work)
2. so try considering other forms of lookups
- lookups from user functions - message mappings
- lookups from ABAP - abap mappings
- lookups from ABAP - XSLT on ABAP stack

530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated - Exchange 2013 to external domains

Hi all,
I have an Exchange server 2013 on windows 2012 R2 and do all the configuration for sending and receiving the mail according to the document provided by Microsoft.
But whenever I am trying to send mails from external domains to my exchange server domain I got the following error:
530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
Same thing I am getting If I am sending mail through outlook from my Exchange domains to external domain.
But if I am selecting the

I have a java code for sending mails using the SMTP address of the servers. For sending a mail it required a valid user name and password. For all other SMTP servers if I have used invalid user name and password then I am getting the 530
5.7.1 Client was not authenticated error, but
if I am using my SMTP address and invalid user name and password then also I am able to send the mails.
So I just want to know what I have to configure in the exchange 2013 server so that it will validate the user name and password.

Was invalid user name and password included in Java code?
Did outlook send emails?
If this issue happen on Java code instead of outlook?
In fact, Exchange server didn’t validate user account and password, user account and password will be validated on domain controller,
I suggest we create a new dedicated receive connector and enable “anonymous” permission for java code

How to change R/3 System ID & Client values for a Business System in ID

I am a beginner in PI or XI. I am trying to modify R/3 System ID & Client# under Adapter Specific Identifiers of a Business System in ID. But both are in output mode and I tried to modify in SLD and then resynch at ID level, but I could not find a place where these parameters are specified for that Business System in SLD.
Please help me!

I have a Client 500 and R3 Server EN3 now these two things were already there on a Business System, but Admn did some thing on my test system and now we have another Business System pointing to TS of type WEBAS-ABAP and Admin assigned this same client 500 and EN3 server name in SLD to this new Business system, but as you know these changes will not reflect in my ID scenario automatically unless we do it manually with synchronization button under Adapter Specific Identifiers.
So my requirement is now to remove those values from the old BS and keep them or get them through synch for my new BS in my ID scenario, which I am not able to do it. The new BS is pointing to WEBAS-ABAP type TS but the old one I think it is now not pointing to any TS any more, it just left like a orphan with no technical System, I think Admn did some magic with bad practice, I believe.
HOw do I handle this situation?

SSL client certificate problem with exchange owa

Since a week I've been having the strangest problem when trying to connect to an exchange webmail server.
When I try to log on to the server, I now get a a safari warning telling me that the website requests a client certificate and prompts me to choose one.
Safari presents me with a few .mac and mobileme certificates, none of which are valid for this site obviously.
I cannot get through this dialog because it seems I do not have the required certificate.
What baffles me though, is that when I disable my mobileme settings in system preferences, safari connects to the exchange webmail perfectly without ever prompting me for a certificate.
I do not understand what mobileme has to do with this exchange server at all.
What is even more strange is that I have been having this on 4 different mac's here at home, with two different user accounts on the exchange server, and I have a family mobileme pack... so every system is a little different, but they all behave exactly the same.
Can anybody point in the right direction please ?
For what it's worth, I could have installed a 10.7.1 update on one of the systems which may have caused this, but definatly not on all 4 at the same time....

Receive email delay one hour using Mac Mail client (Mountain Lion) connect Exchange Server 2010

Hi all,
My boss use iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air (Mac Mail client), MacPro (Mac Mail client) connect Exchange Serve 2010 to receive emails. All clients are okay except MacBook Air, the Mac Mail client cannot receive the latest emails from Exchange Server, but it can receive (sync) the emails after one hour. The other clients can receive the latest email after Exchange Server receive new emails immediately.
In this period, the MacBook Air can receive the other IMAP, POP3 and webmail from ISP normally. I tried to set 5 mins to check emails or manual check email from Exchange Server. However, the latest email still delay one hour.......... .
I dumped a screenshot for Mac Mail setting for Exchange Server and a Log file.
could anyone help me to solve this issue?

I am not sure what the user has the check for new messages set for but mail does arrive as short as 2 minutes. It does however arrive on his iphone immediately first.

Lync client cannot connect to Exchange Server when accessing from outside (Internet) - please HELP!

I have full representation of the Lync 2010 from Outside (i.e. Internet), but I still have small issue related to Lync-to-Exchange integration. Clients who is using Lync client from outside (i.e. Internet) cannot see Exchange-related information including
Call Logs, Voicemail and Calendar information.
Here is the experience and error messages that anyone will see when connecting to Lync server from Outside:

Hi, we had this issue and I ended up logging a MS support job. Turns out it was the TMG rule/Auth method causing the issue.
Job details:
**Symptom:
Lync Client External User are not able to retrieve the EWS URL
**Troubleshooting:
• We found External users are not able to Retrieve the EWS information in the Lync Client .
• We found the below error in the ETL logs.We found for EWS request we are getting the 401 response
HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized ( The server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web server is denied. Contact the server administrator. )
• TMG need pass through Authentication
Public names are autodiscover.domain.com and Outlook anywhere External FQDN and paths are /ews/* and /autodiscover/*, OAB/*
Users is All Users, and Delegation is "No delegation but client may authenticate directly" on the corresponding tabs of the publishing rule.
This changes is required for Lync Client as Lync Client does not work well with this BASIC authentication on TMG .
• After TMG engineer changed this settings in the TMG users are able to see EWS information.

External Clients cannot connect to Exchange Server

My external clients using outlook cannot connect to Exchange Server 2013. We have on-presmise version updated to Cu3 and after the Cu3 update we lost connectivity with Outlook clients. Many of the settings in IIS were changed after the Cu3 update,

Hi,
According to your description, users cannot connect to Exchange server 2013 both internal and external.
Please run Test E-mail AutoConfiguration in Outlook to check your autodiscover service. Also
reset your Exchange virtual directory to connect correctly. If the issue still continues after all configurations are setting properly, collect some Event logs would be helpful.
If there is any question, please post the results here for further analysis.

ACE - Sticky using XFF client value

Might be a stupid question ....but we have a situation where client traffic is LB to our proxy infrastructure , at the LB the XFF client address is inserted into the header and source sticky is enabled. We now need to LB to addtional servers( more than within our proxy infrastructure) downstream from our proxy servers and retain the client sessions, if we use source sticky we will have a one to one relationship with the downstream servers . This we don't want as we want to spread the load across all downstream servers. My question is instead of source IP sticky could we use say the XFF info or something else to stick sessions to the downstream servers.

So your proxy server will need to contact different servers through loadbalancer?
You can use cookies for the same and make the ACE to insert cookie. I haven't tried using XFF header and value for sticky but ACE let's you configure it so it can be tried too.

Is there a mail client that works with exchange 2003?

my company Exchange is 2003 and neither Outlook 2011 or Mail work. Is there a way to make either of these work without upgrading Exchange? Is there another email client that might work?

OSX's Mail uses the Exchange Web Services (EWS) protocol, which is only available on Exchange 2007 and later. Outlook 2011 relies on OSX for connectivity to Exchange, so that is why Outlook 2011 doesn't work either. As stated, if you can get your IR department to enable IMAP, you can get email funtionality. (No calendar or contacts.)
There is Davmail. I'm told that it's still a bit buggy, but AFAIK, it is the only thing that would do what you want. As mentioned by Glenn, I also recommend that you suggest to the company to upgrade the version of Exchange, mostly due to Microsoft ending mainstream support for Exchange 2003 back in 2009 (with extended support only for SP2 for an indeterminate amound of time.) As a bonus, Exchange 2010 supports Safari for OWA, which is a good indication that Microsoft is at least making attempts at better Mac support.

Can we fetch the email value directly from exchange by reconciliation

My query is when we provision a user to exchange usng OIM ; in the exchange process form we do not need to mention e-mail but we do have to mention the alias .
So my thought is that the alias would be sent exchange then it would be changed to e-mail.
In our case I need to reconcile the e-mail from the exchnage and compare it to user profile - email , if there is a mismatch then I would like to update it in exchange.
Can anyone suggest how to reconcile an email from exchange to OIM.

Scenario one you can implement using entity adapters. (one for update and one for insert for Exchange resource object)
Depending on how you have set up your trusted reconciliation you might end up in a situation where any changes done through this process will be overwritten if the same user is changed in Pplsoft.
Scenario two I have implemented with custom adapters a number of time. I don't know how flexible the "Create Mailbox" function is so it might be possible to do this with the out of the box functionality. I have not used the connector recently so there might be some new interesting functionality available.
How does PplSoft know what email address the user has? Is it filled in by the HR person or is this information somehow copied from the Exchange system.
My experience is that that you need to start by whiteboarding all processes on a business level (where is the information born?, how does the information flow?, what is the trusted source for each pierce of information?)
Once you know how you would like the information to flow in all key scenarios you can start looking at how to implement this on the technical level. OIM is very flexible and you can get it to do almost anything but step one is always to know what you want to do.

Using WebMail through Firefox to access
Global Functions ( Public Folders, Calendaring
to Win XP users), and for accessing/publishing
to the Global Contact List.
IS THERE ONE APP, that will work close to in
functionality like OUTLOOK under Win XP,
without having to maintain both Entourage and
Webmail Client?

New client Throttling policy on Exchange 2010

Hello,
I have a user that issues some discovery searches. These searches are putting alot of strain on the Exchange 2010 server and affecting performance.
I would like to create a new throttling policy for this 1 user (I know that everything this 1 user will do using powershell will be throttled).
So not too sure what parameters I must modify to accomplish finishing the searches and not affecting too much the Exchange server.

From your description, you want to throttle one user to use discovery search using throttling policy. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
Based on my knowledge, I'm afraid that we can't achieve it on Exchange 2010. In Exchange 2013, we can use the the following cmdlet to set it.
Set-ThrottlingPolicy <ThrottlingPolicyName> -DiscoveryMaxConcurrency xx
The DiscoveryMaxConcurrency parameter specifies the number of concurrent discovery search cmdlet executions that a user can have at the same time.
