ClipboardChangeNotification

Hello,
I have task to intercept events in java application when something is put on system clipboard from other applications.
I am interested is there something in api that i can use for clipboard change notification.
I want to be notified if the clipboard contents have been changed, even if the new contents have the same
DataFlavors as the previous contents.
I know that lostOwnership() method can be used to catch event when some other application
change clipboard content but it is bad solution because becoming clipboard owner while
maintaining the contents of the clipboard requires getting the current contents and putting them back,
and because it can cause conflicts with other tasks that do the same thing.
Is there some other way to get notifications about clipboard change in java application?
