Cloud Financials Util Service Integration using BPEL
I need some help with integrating to the cloud using BPEL - So far following the Cookbook I have been able to Integrate to the cloud Financial Util Service using Java JaxWS and also using a testing tool like SOAP-UI. This was relatively easy enough to do taking in account the security configuration, but for some reason I'm struggling with BPEL
I followed the Cookbook but getting the following error trying to call the service: https://<CloudInstanceName>:<PORT>/finFunShared/FinancialUtilService?wsdl
oracle.fabric.common.FabricInvocationException: Unable to invoke endpoint URI "https://<CloudInstanceName>:<PORT>/finFunShared/FinancialUtilService" successfully due to: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
I imported certificate into java home cacerts and default trustore DemoTrust.jks in Middleware
I tried adding some policies to the partner link but giving different errors for the different policies...
I would appreciate some feedback or advise
Thanks!!
Import the certificate with some custom name using below command
keytool -importcert -alias certificate_name -file {server_path}/certificate_name -keystore mycertificate_name.jks"
Place the newly created custom.jks file at {WL_HOME}/server/lib/
Navigate to {MW_HOME}/user_projects/domain/soa_domain/bin.
Modify setDomainEnv.sh in Linux env or setDomainEnv.cmd in windows env as below:
In EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES, set
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=${WL_HOME}/server/lib/custom.jks
and save it.
Restart the server.
Please let me know if it is still not working.
Thanks,
Ashwini.

Siebel On Demand Outbound Webservice integration using bpel question
Hello everyone,
I have a question I am hoping the forum can help me out with
I am trying to do an integration using bpel with Siebel on demand as the begining point. The bussiness case is that I want qualified leads to be extracted out of the Siebel On Demand crm to be integrated into a back end system. This is put into a queue in the integration events. I have read the forum on all the session id and intermediate java code that provides the session id. I noticed that Siebel on demand is not a webservice requestor and only a webservice provider even for outbound messages. Since bpel always needs an input of some sort how would I kick off bpel to keep checking the queue not to mention getting the session id ect?
Any help would be great :)
JadenHi ,
An integration even is something that is configured using a workflow. Like say when a Lead field is modified of r a particular Lead this even fires and will go and reside in Integration Even Queue.
A separate bpel process is then required to read the Integration Queue (wsdl's available) and then process this even for the lead.
Regarding extraction of Leads from SOD it need to have any Inegration events. Even without this we can do it. Just make a webcall using the Lead wsdl and then process th erecords usinga while Loop stucture. You can use a DB adapter to write to the target Database tables.

Integrating CRM On Demand with EBS (12.1.3) using BPEL
Hi,
I am working on POC for the integration between EBS and CRM On Demand. We are EBS R12.1.3 and have SOA Suite 10g.
We are planning to use BPEL to do this communication between EBS and CRM OD. Is this something that is possible using BPEL. In additional to BPEL, do we need Java coding or any other language coding?
I donwloaded the Account WSDL from the CRM OD website. Created a new BPEL Process using that WSDL. I read that we need to pass the login credentials using a soap header. Can you please let me know how we can do this in a BPEL Process.
Any pointers would help me alot.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Sreenivas.Hi,
I found a document about using this feature with EBS 11i. I could not find any document that says it is not supported.

When to use BPEL Orchestration and mediator services
Hi,
I would like to know in a scenario where a service needs to make 3 calls to a particular system via 3 different Operations.
2 ways of implementing..
1) an assumption is adaptor would manifest itself as an OSC on the ESB Or
2) as a ‘mediator’ component to be implemented in BPEL as a composite with no workflow
Please advise ASAP.
Regards,
BhuviHi' Bhuvi,
We use mediator in cases where we have multiple operation, typical example is you have 5 DB adapter's each having some sql query
and you want to expose these DB adapter, so you make a WSDL with 5 different operations and then use this in the webservice adapter
and use a mediator to map input/output between operation and DB adapter.
When to use Mediator/BPEL ?
In the above scenario we are using mediator because we want to route the data. We can use BPEL in cases which require complicated routing logic.
Benefit ?
Mediator is fast in comparison to BPEL, as it is designed to route data.

Execute Package Utility Requires Integration Services
Hi,
I am trying to run an SSIS package from a client SQL Server Management Studio 2008 and am getting the message "The Execute Package Utility requires Integration Services to be installed by one of these editions of SQL Server 2008..."
I installed SP1 and CU6 on the PC and am still getting the message. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.
ThanksHello,
I was getting same error message and This post helped me.
I got more info from below:
http://www.rad.pasfu.com/index.php?/archives/41-Minimum-Requirement-To-Execute-SSIS-Package.html
Minimum Requirement To Execute SSIS Package
A very common question is that :
what is minimal requirements for run a package?
Minimal Requirements to run SSIS package is :
DTEXEC which can be installed
with Integration Service at the SQL Server setup media. Note that you should Install Integration Services, because if you install DTEXEC without Integration Service then you will got this message when you try to execute a package from DTEXEC command line:
The SQL Server Execute Package Utility requires Integration Services to be installed by one of these editions of SQL Server 2008: Standard, Enterprise, Developer, or Evaluation. To Install Integration Services,
run SQL Server Setup and select Integration Services.
This is same operation on a machine who has Integration Service Installed:
Another option to execute SSIS package is with BIDS, you can select it during SQL Server setup steps.
So as a result you need to have one of these options to run a package on a machine: SSIS or BIDS.

BI Publisher and Presentation services integration
Hi,
I have configured BI publisher and done the presentation services integration also. When I try to build a query by connecting to RPD, I am able to generate a query and design the report.
But when I select BI Answers as a data source, I am not listed out the reports. When I click on browse button, it opens the popup window and dispays BI Catalog and nothing else. when I check saw log, it has authentication error.
We have enabled LDAP authentication. I have used Administrator user to configure BI publisher. I have enabled the BI Publisher security type for BI Publisher authentication.
I have used the Administrator user while executing the cryptotools utility.
The following is the error.
Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW).
State: 08004. Code: 10018. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: 08004] [nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused.
[nQSError: 13024] Successful completion of init block 'LDAP Authentication' is required. (08004)
I am loogin in using administrator user and trying to use BI answers as a data source.
If anyone have any idea on this issue. Kindly help on the same.
Thanks & Regards
Rajesh JHi,
Yes Seriously , the documentation at this link http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/fusionapps.1111/e20838/jdev.htm shows clearly there is a out-of-box region called "BI Publisher Region " to be integrated with ADF UI.
But after installing the extensions also I am not able to find that option.
I have installed "Oracle Fusion Applications Companion 11g (11.1.1.5.3) " updates as mentioned here "https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevextensions/entry/setting_up_a_fusion_applications"
After installing we see "BI ADF Components" in Technology Scope but If we open a jspx/jsff we don't see "BI Publisher" region option in component palette. Looks like there is something seriously missing.
One thing to note is I installed Jdev 11.1.1.5 downloaded from OTN and installed the updates from "http://edelivery.oracle.com" will that be a problem?
Any body from ORACLE ACE directors pls help us. We need this region looks like it has more options to save the document etc..
Thanks for your help!! -
Hello,
I am new to BPEL. I am working on a sample .
I am working on ADF Integration with BPEL process.
I have an ADF Screen displaying data from an EMPLOYEE table in HR Schema . It has a button called "Update". I need to call a synchronous BPEL process on click of "Update" . This BPEL process will take the selected employee information as an XML input and update the last name to the first name as the response.
I have some doubts in that :
1. How to pass an XML Schema as input parameter to a BPEL process ? Can you please let me know some sample applications ?
2. I am creating a web proxy for the BPEL WSDL (created above) and my "Update" button is binded to a method which is calling the BPEL process.
How can i pass my XML input as the argument of the method to invoke the BPEL process ?
Thanks
NutanWhen using a web service proxy, you need to pass the data as an object, which' structure is defined in the web service proxy wrapper classes.
When you've defined a data control for your bpel process, you can just drag and drop the 'initiate'/'execute', your operation and bind this to the update-button.
When working with the proxy client, you need to populate your java class objects with the employee-object, this can be done in a backing bean or managed bean in your adf faces application.
For more information you can always have a look at my blog where I've provided an explanation about the different possibilities of interfacing adf with SOA.
Kind regards,

How to Connect to LDAP through SOA is it possible using BPEL
Hi Guys,
I have a requirement that how to access to LDAP system using BPEL process.
do we need to write any java code to perform a few operations in to LDAP.
Can you please tell me any one across this sceneario.
Thanks in advance.
Your help is more appreciate. this is urgent for us.
Thanks.
ChandrasekharHi Chandrasekhar
1. Yes, there are many ways you can integrate AD with BPEL kind of indirectly. See some of the posts given below.
oracle soa and active directory integration
Weblogic administrator account is inactive after enabling DB Authenticator
Also, once AD is integrated with Weblogic, using Admin Console etc, you can use the out of box REST services for quick testing. You can pretty much get and read all the stuff for any user/role/group/mappings etc. But its just ReadOnly and you cannot modify data on LDAP side. The below link should work for any security provider configured with your weblogic like DefaultAuthenticator or External AD integrated.

Problem invoking a web service from soa11g BPEL.
Hi ,
I am trying to invoke a web service from soa bpel 11g composite.
We have the wsdl, wsdl URL of the web service along with the user name , password credentials.
Initially w/o any WS policy attached and testing the composite, it fails with the below message
*<fault>*
*<bpelFault>*
*<faultType>0</faultType>*
*<remoteFault>*
*<part name="summary">*
*<summary>An Authentication object was not found in the SecurityContext</summary>*
*</part>*
*<part name="detail">*
*<detail>javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: An Authentication object was not found in the SecurityContext</detail>*
*</part>*
*<part name="code">*
*<code>soap:Server</code>*
*</part>*
*</remoteFault>*
*</bpelFault>*
*</fault>*
*<faultType>*
*<message>0</message>*
*</faultType>*
*</messages>*
So I have gone back to the composite and added the WS policy (oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy) by Right clicking on web service -> Configure WS Policy -> Security -> oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy -> OK.
After this I have added the following binding properties 'oracle.webservices.auth.username' , 'oracle.webservices.auth.password' with the respective values and deployed it again.
Even then I face the same issue. I have looked into the EM console and found the HTTP username and password properties were blank for this Web service even though the WS policy was attached.
Later I have tried editing the username pwd from the EM console, only to find out that the composite was now failing in the previous step (an ordinary db adapter with a select statement) even before it reaches the web service invocation.
If I redeploy the composite, the http username and pwd properties in the EM console are erased and when i test it, it errors out at the web service invocation with the same issue again.
Any pointers on how to solve this issue ??
How can I figure out what is the security policy the web service is using ??
Regards,
Shiva KiranHi,
Can anyone help me with this ??
I guess I am not able to send the authorization credentials via the request to the web service invocation.
Plz help ! This is a bit urgent..

I am a long-term user of Lightroom as a standalone product with a perpetual licence. As a retired person on limited income, it is very disappointing to me that Adobe have introduced the 'Creative Cloud' (CC) subscription service in order for me to be able to continue upgrading this excellent product. It will be for me too expensive at the minimum cost of £9 per month. The additional services that CC brings are personally of no relevance or usefulness. Adobe should be prepared to support existing users who are, like myself, non commercial, amateur photographers by giving them the simple opportunity to upgrade to Lightroom 6 as a standalone, perpetual licence product. As a member of a camera club I know my co-members who use Lightroom are equally disappointed by this move to a subscription-only service.

However, Adobe will soon introduce Cloud only features into Lightroom CC for which LR6 (perpetual license) owners will have to wait until LR7 (paid upgrade).
That is possible, John, but it is only speculation on your part. Might, not will.
kwdaves wrote:
There is a "Lightroom 6" upgrade available for US $79 if you have a valid license for any of the earlier versions. From what I can tell, the only difference between Lightroom 6 Full, Lightroom 6 Upgrade and LightroomCC is in the license. The download file is the same.
Other differences - with CC you get LrMobile/LrWeb and they throw in a free copy of Photoshop too.
Yes, but when I bought my standalone license and clicked on the "Download" button it took me to the LightroomCC page. The downloaded file is named Lightroom 6, but in the CC app the installed program is LightroomCC (2015). -
Get Custom SOAP Header Value in SOA Suite 11.1.1.6 using BPEL 1.1
Hi Experts,
We are using SOA Suite 11.1.1.6 and in one of the projects we have requirement to retrieve custom SOAP header value.
This is enhancement to existing process which is developed using BPEL 1.1 and deployed to Production. So we cannot convert this now to BPEL 2.0
We suggested to use custom XML element in Header the definition of which will be defined in custom XSD and stored in common location. However the 3rd party who are invoking this service will not be able to do any customization in their process to pass custom XML header.
Please can you help me in providing any approach through which we can retrieve custom Header value from SOAP header using BPEL 1.1
I have read some blogs for retrieving the custom XML header but they are using BPEL 2.0. I would like achieve this functionality using BPEL 1.1
Appreciate your inputs.
Thanks in Advance - RKHello RK,
Have you've tried to put the bpex:outputHeaderVariable on the invoke activity of the invoked service.
<invoke name="Invoke"
bpelx:outputHeaderVariable="HeaderVariable"/>
Where the "HeaderVariable" reflects the XSD Datastructure of the received header.
This is also specified here in section 6.19.1 How to Receive SOAP Headers in BPEL
Please note that the exact header must be specified in the WSDL of the invoked service.
Also note that in case of a soap fault. No header will be returned from the invoked service but only a /soap/body/fault part.
Good luck!

Errors creating a Web Service Proxy using Microsoft WSDL.exe tool
I have deployed a BPEL process using JDeveloper. This process can be invoked from the BPEL console and completes as expected. I am trying to create a Web Service Proxy using the Microsoft WSDL.exe tool so that the process can be invoked from a Microsoft Word document. This process is based on the AutoLoan example in the Developer's Guide for Microsoft Office Interoperability B25781-01.
WSDL.exe returns the following error message
Error: There was an error processing 'http://erp.template.co.uk:8889/orabpel/default/HonorariumSmartDoc/1.0/HonorariumSmartDoc?wsdl'.
- The document at the url http://erp.template.co.uk:8889/orabpel/default/HonorariumSmartDoc/1.0/HonorariumSmartDoc?wsdl was not recognized as a known document type. The error message from each known type may help you fix the problem:
- Report from 'WSDL Document' is 'There is an error in XML document (19, 7).'.
- A schema with the namespace '' has already been added.
- Report from 'DISCO Document' is 'Discovery document at the URL http://erp.template.co.uk:8889/orabpel/default/HonorariumSmartDoc/1.0/HonorariumSmartDoc?wsdl could not be found.'.
- The document format is not recognized.
- Report from 'XML Schema' is 'Expected Schema root. Make sure that the root element is <schema> and the namespace is 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' for an XSD schema or 'urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-data' for an XDR schema. An error occurred at , (2, 2).'.
How do I resolve this error?The WSDL file is below.

How to invoke a web service asynchronously using ws-addressing model?
Hi Gurus,
We are invoking an external web service asynchronously using Oracle Work Flow Business events using the following mechanism -
1)Created a web service invoker event to invoke the web service.
2)Created a subscription that invokes the web service (provided the wsdl address, operation info).
3)Defined a subscription parameter WFBES_CALLBACK_EVENT with value pointing to a recieve event.
4)Created a receive event(parameter value for WFBES_CALLBACK_EVENT) and a subscription that directs the response to a custom PL/SQL function to process response.
so far so good. We were able to invoke the web service and get and process the response.
Problem: The external web service can take upto 10 hrs to process the request. A time out of 2 hrs is set on the server hosting the external web service. So when the external web service takes more than 2 hrs to process the request and it times out and we get the following error on EBS side -
'l_error_message:oracle.apps.fnd.wf.bes.InvokerException: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: oracle.j2ee.ws.saaj.ContentTypeException: Not a valid SOAP Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1'
Now the external web service providers are suggesting that we are not calling their web service asynchronously and we should use ws-addressing model to do so.
Is there a way to invoke this web service using ws-addressing model using business events or from PL/SQL or OA middle-tier?
Regards,
Sunil

I am providing here the WSDL of the external web service -

You dont need a Business Event setup to invoke a BPEL process from PL/SQL unless you have a special case and you need to process the response from the BPEL process in a separate thread (or in background)..
For a straight call to BPEL process from PL/SQL, here is a sample script -
function "MYTEST0" return varchar2 AS
soap_request varchar2(30000);
soap_respond varchar2(30000);
http_req utl_http.req;
http_resp utl_http.resp;
resp XMLType;
i integer;
helpStr varchar2(30000);
BEGIN
soap_request:= '<?xml version = ''1.0'' encoding = ''UTF-8''?>
<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:ns0="
http://xmlns.oracle.com/TestWS">
<env:Body>
<ns0:TestWSProcessRequest>
<ns0:input>abc</ns0:input>
</ns0:TestWSProcessRequest>
</env:Body>
</env:Envelope>
/* the BPEL process name is TestWS */
http_req:= utl_http.begin_request
( 'http://hostname:7777/orabpel/default/TestWS/1.0'
, 'POST'
, 'HTTP/1.1'
utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Type', 'text/xml');
utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Length', length(soap_request));
utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'SOAPAction', 'process');
utl_http.write_text(http_req, soap_request);
http_resp:= utl_http.get_response(http_req);
utl_http.read_text(http_resp, soap_respond);
utl_http.end_response(http_resp);
resp:= XMLType.createXML(soap_respond);
resp:= resp.extract('/soap:Envelope/soap:Body/child::node()',
'xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"');
helpStr := '';
i:=0;
loop
helpStr := helpStr || substr(soap_respond,1+ i*255,250);
i:= i+1;
if i*250> length(soap_respond)
then
exit;
end if;
end loop;
return helpStr;
END; -
Issue while creating BPEL artifacts using BPEL command line tool
All
I am trying to create BPEL artificats for SQL server stored procedure for SQO Server 2005 using BPEL Command line tool.
My demo.properties is
ProductName=Microsoft SQL Server
DriverClassName=com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
ConnectionString=jdbc:sqlserver://10.10.20.2:1433;databaseName=dAP
Username:apcdb
Password:password1
SchemaName:dev
ProcedureName:spiSOATesting
ServiceName:SQLServerSPService
DatabaseConnection:MSSQLServer
Destination:c:/temp/sqlprocedure
and I have create a batch file called as generate.bat and it contains following information
java -cp D:\jdevstudio10134\integration\lib\DBAdapter.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\integration\lib\bpm-infra.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\integration\lib\orabpel.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\lib\xmlparserv2.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\lib\xschema.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\toplink\jlib\toplink.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\integration\lib\connector15.jar;D:\temp\sqlprocedure\JDBC\sqljdbc.jar oracle.tip.adapter.db.sp.artifacts.GenerateArtifacts %1
and when I try to run the command at BPEL PM Developer Prompt, I am getting Procedure not found, Can one please tell, what is the cause of this error. and how does this command line tool exactly work.
Following is the output from command prompt.
D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\samples>D:\temp\sqlprocedure\generate.bat D:\temp\sqlprocedure\demo.properties
D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\samples>java -cp D:\jdevstudio10134\integration\lib\DBAdapter.jar;D:\jdevstudio10134\integration\lib\bpm-infra.jar

Thank youHI
Pricing will be carried basing on the pricing
procedure.
Case1: Prices will be carried out automatically if
necessary condition records are maintained for the
condition type.
For this you can go to Sales Order-> Item Conditions
In the screen you can click on command button Analysis,
which gives you the list of condition types associated
to the pricing procedure. By clicking on the condition
type you can know the action that has taken place.
Case2: Manually forcing prices for Items.
To do this, you have to populate ORDER_CONDITIONS_IN &
ORDER_CONDITIONS_INX. Also note to identify the item
numbers, you manually pass the item number for each item
in the sales order, use the same item number for
populating conditions.
Parameters required:
ORDER_CONDITIONS_IN:
ITM_NUMBER, COND_TYPE, COND_VALUE, CURRENCY
ORDER_CONDITIONS_INX:
ITM_NUMBER, COND_TYPE, UPDATEFLAG, COND_VALUE,CURRENCY.
Hope the above info helps you. Do revert back if you
need more info.
Kind Regards
Eswar
