Hi,
I am having a problem using the multi-load function in FDM. I am using FDM 11.1.2.3 to upload an Excel multi-load file and get the error below on Import:
I am able to Import a single period, scenario, etc using the same data from the load file. Are you familiar with this error?

I am new in Hyperion FDM. I am trying to load a txt file using multiload feature of FDM. I have created a VBScript to load data. When i run the script it finishes without error but doesnt load any data. I get the following errors in the log file

Obviously there is something wrong in the txt file above. Can anybody let me know whats wrong I am doing. I also see following error in the tbatchcontents database table after the VBScript finishes running

The column header identifiers you are using in line 6 of your file are not valid. Please refer to the multiload section of the FDM Admin Guide for the correct values that you can use.

FDM Journal Import Fails

Hello,
We are FDM 11.1.2.1 and are having an issue when importing a journal template (Excel 97-2003 format). After checking in the journal and hitting "Post" we get an error message "Error: File Import Failed. Detail: File not found". I checked and double checked the location, category and period but to no avail. This file was used for another location and worked fine and was only updated with different data for a different location. Below is the error log out of the outbox if that helps at all. I also checked that the upsJournal range was appropriately set. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi it seems like error description is abreviated: it is saying "Type mismatch File=". Can you try to get the full error description.
"Type Mismatch" errors also occur for Excel uploads in case the UPS range contains Excel errors like #VALUE or #NAME errors.
And did you check Regional Settings were the same as before when you saved the updated Journal template?

Multiload custom script

Hi,
I know people aren't too keen on handing out free scripts on this forum as they're difficult to create, but I was hoping someone could give me some pointers on how to perform a multiload using a custom script. I've managed to do a batch load before but I can't get the multiload working and there aren't any good examples in the admin or API docs.
Below is a redacted copy of my script - it fails when it gets to the fStructGetText statement...
I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to get this working :)

There is a way of scripting it separately from a batch but now that I realise that the batch does multi-loads too (and it's very easy to script) I have taken that route. Also I added some custom functions to the end of my script to facilitate moving files around (when automatically dropped on a network share) and it works a treat!
