CMDlet get-recipient export as CSV removes Displayname Attribute

Dear Forum,
i´ve found an "interesting" behavior of the get-recipient CMDLet.
We operate a 2 node DAG and use this CMDLet for Statistics and Chargeback - currently it runs as follows
get-recipient -RecipientTypeDetails Usermailbox -resultsize unlimited| ft -autosize -wrap Displayname, company >C:\Scripts\Ex2010\WeeklyMBStats\Attachments\UserCompany.txt
then it´s merged with the results of (for each DAG node)
get-MailboxStatistics -server MBx1 | Sort-Object Displayname | ft -autosize -wrap DisplayName,@{expression={$_.TotalItemSize.Value.ToMB()};label="TotalItemSize(MB)"},Itemcount, StorageLImitStatus, DatabaseName > C:\Scripts\Ex2010\WeeklyMBStats\Attachments\MBStats_MBx1.txt
Since we want to improve the automation level - I've found the merge-csv CMDlet, which would be able to merge User information (Displayname & Company  with the MBx Statistics Output.
To be able to realize this - the output must be changed to CSV files
Now the strange behavior:
>get-recipient -RecipientTypeDetails Usermailbox -resultsize unlimited -Export-csv C:\_Reports\Recipients_csv.csv
When I ran the CMDlet in this form - the DisplayName is NOT Exported, while the Company IS exported.
Does anyone was facing similar issues?
How can this be overcome? (no I don´t want to use get-mailbox since this CMDlet does not return the company of the Mailboxuser)
Is it related to a missing filter? on which level must the filter be applied? Why is the company attribute just missing, while all other attributes are present?
Any Help & Suggestions are welcome!
Thank you.
Markus

  • SCCM 2012 SP1 and Exchange 2013 Connector Get-Recipient cmdlet failed

    I have been trying to get my Exchange Connector working with SCCM 2012 SP1 for a week or so now. Every post tells me that the Get-Recipient cmdlet failed is a security permissions error. I have given the service account running the connector full Exchange
    Server Management rights including Recipient Management and Organization View-Only. I have even tested remote power shell to the CAS server and run the cmdlet with no issues.
    For some reason it just does not want to work for me. Has anyone been running into this issue?

    Now before you read the following error and say oh this is a permission issue I am telling you it is not. I have given the account full Exchange admin rights and I have even tested the Get-Recipient cmdlet remotely to the Exchange server and it works with
    no issues. I have also noticed multiple forum posts with the exact same issues.
    I have noticed one thing that stands outs "Cannot bind parameter 'Filter' to the target. Exception setting "Filter": "The value "$true" could not be converted to type System.Boolean"
    I believe this issue may be related to changes in the powershell commands with Exchange 2013, but I do not know where or how to edit the ps1 script.
    I am getting the error below:

  • How to add SaveFileDialog to PowerShell Get-ADUser Export-CSV

    Hi,
    I am having a bit of difficulties with getting the SaveFileDialog to work when I use the Get-ADUser export-CSV.
    Current code:
    $handler_Output_Click=
    $User = Get-Aduser $textBox1.Text -Properties DisplayName,sAMAccountName,EmailAddress,Mobile,Company,Title,Enabled,LockedOut,Description,Created,Modified,LastLogonDate,AccountExpirationDate,AccountLockoutTime,BadLogonCount,CannotChangePassword,LastBadPasswordAttempt,PasswordLastSet,PasswordExpired,LogonWorkstations,CanonicalName | Select DisplayName,sAMAccountName,EmailAddress,Mobile,Company,Title,Enabled,LockedOut,Description,Created,Modified,LastLogonDate,AccountExpirationDate,AccountLockoutTime,BadLogonCount,CannotChangePassword,LastBadPasswordAttempt,PasswordLastSet,PasswordExpired,LogonWorkstations,CanonicalName | Export-CSV C:\temp\test.csv -NoTypeInformation ';' -encoding utf8
    $richTextBox1.Text = "A file 'test.csv' has been created to C:\temp\ based on the user: $($textBox1.Text)"
    Here a specific filename is already defined and I have to edit the code each time I want a different filename.
    It would be perfect if I could implement the SaveFileDialog box so I have the ability to name the file before saving and possibly even have the option to select the file type (among .CSV and All files).
    This it the export/output button itself:
    $System_Drawing_Point = New-Object System.Drawing.Point
    $System_Drawing_Point.X = 502
    $System_Drawing_Point.Y = 38
    $Output.Location = $System_Drawing_Point
    $Output.Name = "Output"
    $System_Drawing_Size = New-Object System.Drawing.Size
    $System_Drawing_Size.Height = 23
    $System_Drawing_Size.Width = 85
    $Output.Size = $System_Drawing_Size
    $Output.TabIndex = 2
    $Output.Text = "Export as file"
    $Output.UseVisualStyleBackColor = $True
    $Output.add_Click($handler_Output_Click)
    # $form1.AcceptButton = $Output
    $Output.DataBindings.DefaultDataSourceUpdateMode = 0
    $form1.Controls.Add($Output)
    And in the beginning of my script I also have defined the following:
    [System.Windows.Forms.Application]::EnableVisualStyles();
    [reflection.assembly]::loadwithpartialname("System.Windows.Forms") | Out-Null
    [reflection.assembly]::loadwithpartialname("System.Drawing") | Out-Null
    [reflection.assembly]::loadwithpartialname("System.Windows.Forms.SaveFileDialog") | Out-Null
    And also:
    $Output = New-Object System.Windows.Forms.Button
    Any ideas how can I implement the SaveFileDialog so when I press the "Export as file" button the PowerShell command "Get-Aduser $textBox1.Text -Properties DisplayName,sAMAc..." is ran and I can choose the file name from a pop-up
    dialog box where to save the file and also put a filename? Currently I have to edit the code in order to assign a new file name (or go rename the file from that location).
    Thank you in advance,
    Henri
    EDIT:
    I know that the below is the answer to the SaveFileDialog, however I cannot imagine how I could implement it to my script into the "Get-Aduser $textBox1.Text -Properties a,b,c,d | select a,b,c,d | Export-CSV C:\temp\test.csv" cmdlet.
    Function Get-SaveFile($initialDirectory)
    [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("System.windows.forms") |
    Out-Null
    $SaveFileDialog = New-Object System.Windows.Forms.SaveFileDialog
    $SaveFileDialog.initialDirectory = $initialDirectory
    $SaveFileDialog.filter = "All files (*.*)| *.*"
    $SaveFileDialog.ShowDialog() | Out-Null
    $SaveFileDialog.filename

    Just run the dialog before exporting the file.  Why is that a problem?
    \_(ツ)_/
    It works now! I made some modifications and it works. Thank you very much for the advice.
    $handler_Output_Click={
    Add-Type -AssemblyName System.Windows.Forms
    $SaveAs1 = New-Object System.Windows.Forms.SaveFileDialog
    $SaveAs1.Filter = "CSV Files (*.csv)|*.csv|Text Files (*.txt)|*.txt|Excel Worksheet (*.xls)|*.xls|All Files (*.*)|*.*"
    $SaveAs1.SupportMultiDottedExtensions = $true;
    $SaveAs1.InitialDirectory = "C:\temp\"
    if($SaveAs1.ShowDialog() -eq 'Ok'){
    $User = Get-Aduser $textBox1.Text -Properties DisplayName,sAMAccountName,EmailAddress,Mobile,Company,Title,Enabled,LockedOut,Description,Created,Modified,LastLogonDate,AccountExpirationDate,AccountLockoutTime,BadLogonCount,CannotChangePassword,LastBadPasswordAttempt,PasswordLastSet,PasswordExpired,LogonWorkstations,CanonicalName | Select DisplayName,sAMAccountName,EmailAddress,Mobile,Company,Title,Enabled,LockedOut,Description,Created,Modified,LastLogonDate,AccountExpirationDate,AccountLockoutTime,BadLogonCount,CannotChangePassword,LastBadPasswordAttempt,PasswordLastSet,PasswordExpired,LogonWorkstations,CanonicalName | Export-CSV $($SaveAs1.filename) -NoTypeInformation ';' -Encoding UTF8
    $richTextBox1.Text = "A file $($SaveAs1.filename) has been created based on the user: $($textBox1.Text)"

  • Get-Mailbox –Server "abc" | Get-MailboxPermission | Export-csv C:\permissions.csv

    I am new to exchange command shell, I need to get a list of all security permissions per mailbox, we have executed the following command:
    get-mailbox -server "removed" | get-mailboxpermission | export-csv c:\permissions.csv
    The command ran ok, and has exported 9 fields, pscomputername, runspaceid, accessrights, deny, inhertiance, user, identity, isinherited, isvalid.
    My question is, which field in the above lists which mailbox the permissions are for? is it the "identity" field?

    Hi,
    Sorry for delayed reply. Did you mean the access rights do not appear correctly in the output CSV file, with the microsoft.exchange.management.recipienttasks.mailboxrights[], instead of the actual mailbox rights?
    If so, I recommend you check the article DareDevil57 provided.

  • How to remove the tabs Export to Excel, Export as CSV in z0ADHOC web templa

    We have made a copy of 0ADHOC - standard web template  as Z0ADHOC.
    Now we would want to remove the tabs  Export to Excel, Export as CSV from thcopied Z0ADHOC.
    Can any one help out.
    Regards

    Devaraj,
    If you look at the Z0ADHOC through the WAD closely in the overview tab, you will find a web item called GR1Toolbar. This is in turn linked to another web template called 0ADHOC_TABLE. Click on GR1Toolbar and view its properties to see this detail. Now if you open the web template 0ADHOC_TABLE in the WAD, you will see soms text elements. The last two:[SAP_BW_TEXT_!IID_546],
    [SAP_BW_TEXT_!IID_549] are the ones for export to xl and CSV. Now to achieve this in your scenario, I think you will have to create another Z Template called Z0ADHOC_TABLE, remove these two text elements and then Link it to the template Z0ADHOC. Try this and let me know if it works.
    Cheers
    Anand

  • Extra columns when exporting to CSV format

    Using Crystal Pro XI R2, I have a report that is listing three fields, each 1" in width next to each other (no gap between columns).  When I export to Excel, the resulting file has no blank columns before the data.  However, when I export to CSV, even after checking the box to not include header/footers, I get three extra commas preceding the first column of the report.  The report only has a single detail section unsuppressed.  Since the CSV file is being imported into another application, I must either manually remove the extra commas or fix this problem.  Since I am not a member of the punctuation police, I am hoping to find a Crystal solution.
    Fuskie
    Who originally had six extra commas preceding his data, but reduced it to three after blocking export of headers/footers...

    The 3 comas is a good indication that you you have 3 empty fields in your report. Not sure how they may have gotten there without you knowing about it, but that would be my first guess.
    See if you can find them. they may be the save color as the back ground, making them "invisible". Try selecting your entire details section and see if you don't see anything unusual.
    I've also noticed that CR will allow you to place fields off the edge of the report... even to the left of it. Once their over there you may not be able to select them to remove them.
    Assuming that you don't find the offending fields on the report you can try this:
    Make a copy of your report using the Save As...
    In the copy, while in design view, do a Ctrl+A to select all objects on the report and delete them.
    Then simply reinsert the fields you want to export for your CSV export.
    Hope this helps,
    Jason

  • Get-Recipient or Get-Mailbox and "white spaces" after import user to TXT files.

    Hi Guys,
    In this week I had small task to move mailboxes from old SBS to new Exchange user. I have done this task with small problems. I decided of course to use Powershell to make my life simple.
    Step 1.
    Get-Recipient | Select-Object name, Database | where database -Match "Mailbox Database" |  FT - Property name | Out-File -FilePath c:\ex_users.txt
    or
    Get-Mailbox  | select name, servername | where ServerName -match Server1 | select Name | Out-File -FilePath c:\ex_users.txt -Encoding UTF8
    Unfortunately I had to spent some time to clean output files. After export files I noticed that something is wrong with text format.
    How can I avoid "white spaces" ?

    We always want to do our filtering as close to the left of a command as possible. Keeping this in mind, the first thing I looked for was to see if Get-Recipient had a filter parameter and it does.
    Get-Recipient -Filter {Database -eq 'CN=Mailbox Database,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=Organization,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=mydomin,DC=com'} | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Name | Out-File -FilePath 'C:\outfile-filter.txt'
    This seemed somewhat cumbersome because it required a lengthy DistinguishedName (DN). By the way, to get the DN of a database, use a modified version of this code.
    Get-MailboxDatabase -Identity databasename | Select-Object DistinguishedName
    I decided we would try filtering with the Where-Object cmdlet much like you did in your example. Noticed that I bumped it to the left so our filter ran prior to our select - something you should always do.
    Get-Recipient | Where-Object {$_.Database -match 'Mailbox Database'} | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Name | Out-File -FilePath 'C:\outfile-where.txt'
    Whichever way you do this, either the first or third code sample should help you write your data to a text file without the white space issue. I haven't looked at your second example but I suspect you could use some of this post to figure that one out yourself.
    Let us know and good luck.

  • Get-mailboxstatistics export Identity

    Hello all
    I run the below script to get the total ItemCount and Totalitemsize  for mailboxes from a .csv file. The script works, however instead of exporting the "Displayname" for the user, I need to export the "Identity" of the user.
    However it appears "Identity" is not an exportable parameter when running the "get-mailboxstatistcs"  command
    $users = Import-Csv -Path C:\temp\mailboxes.csv
    $users |foreach {Get-MailboxStatistics -Identity $_.identity} |select displayname,itemcount,totalitemsize |Export-Csv c:\temp\concordmailboxsize.csv
    I need exporting the users Identity instead of the users Displayname
    Thank you
    Bulls on Parade

    The object returned by get-mailboxstatistics already has an Identity property, but it's the identity of the mailbox (a guid).  But you can replace that with the user identity:
    $users = Import-Csv -Path C:\temp\mailboxes.csv
    foreach ($user in $users)
    { Get-MailboxStatistics -Identity $user.identity |
    foreach {
    $_.identity = $user.identity
    $_ | select Identity,itemcount,totalitemsize
    [string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

  • After installed SP1 for SQL Server 2012, can no longer export to csv

    After installing SP1 today via Windows Update, I am no longer able to export data to csv using the SQL Server Import and Export wizard. I get the following error message:
    "Column information for the source and the destination data could not be retrieved, or the data types of source columns were not mapped correctly to those available on the destination provider."
    "Column "col1": Source data type "200" was not found in the data type mapping file."...
    (The above line repeats for each column)
    The work-around I have to do is to manually map each column in the "Edit Mappings..." option from the "Configure Flat File Destination" page of the wizard. This is an extreme inconvenience to have to have to edit the mappings and change
    each column to "string [DT_STR]" type from "byte stream [DT_BYTES]" type each time I want to export to csv. I did not have to do this before installing SP1; it worked perfectly for months with hundreds of exports prior to this update and
    no need to modify mapping.

    I am running Windows 7 64-bit, SQL Server 2012 Express edition. Again, just yesterday from Windows Update, I installed SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 (KB2674319), followed by Update Rollup for SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 (KB2793634). This situation was
    not occurring before these updates were installed, and I noticed it immediately after they were installed (and of course I restarted my computer after the updates).
    In SSMS I just now created a test DB and table to provide a step-by-step with screenshots.
    Here is the code I ran to create the test DB and table:
    CREATE DATABASE testDB;
    GO
    USE testDB;
    GO
    CREATE TABLE testTable
    id int,
    lname varchar(50),
    fname varchar(50),
    address varchar(50),
    city varchar(50),
    state char(2),
    dob date
    GO
    INSERT INTO testTable VALUES
    (1,'Smith','Bob','123 Main St.','Los Angeles','CA','20080212'),
    (2,'Doe','John','555 Rainbow Ln.','Chicago','IL','19580530'),
    (3,'Jones','Jane','999 Somewhere Pl.','Washington','DC','19651201'),
    (4,'Jackson','George','111 Hello Cir.','Dallas','TX','20010718');
    GO
    SELECT * FROM testTable;
    Results look good:
    id    lname    fname    address    city    state    dob
    1    Smith    Bob    123 Main St.    Los Angeles    CA    2008-02-12
    2    Doe    John    555 Rainbow Ln.    Chicago    IL    1958-05-30
    3    Jones    Jane    999 Somewhere Pl.    Washington    DC    1965-12-01
    4    Jackson    George    111 Hello Cir.    Dallas    TX    2001-07-18
    In Object Explorer, I right-click on the [testDB] database, choose "Tasks", then "Export Data..." and the SQL Server Import and Export Wizard appears. I click Next to leave all settings as-is on the "Choose a Data Source" page, then on the "Choose a Destination"
    page, under the "Destination" drop-down I choose "Flat File Destination" then browse to the desktop and name the file "table_export.csv" then click Next. On the "Specify Table Copy or Query" page I choose "Write a query to specify the data to transfer" then
    click Next. I type the following SQL statement:
    SELECT * FROM testTable;
    When clicking the "Parse" button I get the message "This SQL statement is valid."
    On to the next page, "Configure Flat File Destination" I try leaving the defaults then click Next. This is where I am getting the error message (see screenshot below):
    Then going to the "Edit Mappings..." option on the "Configure Flat File Destination" page, I see that all columns which were defined as varchar in the table are showing as type "byte stream [DT_BYTES]", size "0", the state column which is defined as char(2)
    shows correctly however with type "string [DT_STR]", size "2" (see screenshow below):
    So what I have to do is change the type for the lname, fname, address and city columns to "string [DT_STR]", then I am able to proceed with the export successfully. Again, this just started happening after installing these updates. As you can imagine, this
    is very frustrating, as I do a lot of exports from many tables, with a lot more columns than this test table.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Export to CSV

    Dear Experts,
    We are on BI 7.0 and we came across the following problem :
    When we wre exporting to CSV from Web template in Portal, each £ sybmol is accompanied by
    ie.£ 1500 (where it should have been £1500).
    When exporting to Excel/ excel 2000, it is working fine. And we export it Excel and save it as CSV, it's showing the values with £ sign only. But my client is not happy to export to Excel and then save it to CSV.
    Has anyone come across with this?
    Is there an outstanding update / OSS Note / patch etc. from SAP to correct this issue?Or is it more likely  IMG seetings issue ?
    Thanks

    Hi Swapna,
    There is one way to export to CSV and below are the steps that we follow.
    1.     Execute the ABAP program Z_BI_QUERY_TO_CSV as batchjob. The previous csv file with same name will be removed from the SAP BI server. Then the program will execute the query (selection on the selection-screen).
    2.     The query is executed by the OLAP processor.
    3.     The OLAP processor will read the values for variables in the user-exit EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 (RSR00001) (enhancement concept BEXVAR).
    4.     The data is selected from DSO or infocube.
    5.     The data is formatted to cvs-format (separator is selection field for the program) and saved on the SAP BI server in the directory DIR_CSV.
    6.     After those files are created, the program Z_BI_COPY_FILE_TO_DESKTOP can be used to copy the files from the SAP BI server to your local PC. Must always be executed in foreground because there is interaction with the desktop.
    7.     You can choose the local directory on the selection-screen.
    I hope this will help you.
    All the best,
    Praveen

  • Help exporting in csv format

    Post Author: Vivek Sharma
    CA Forum: Exporting
    Hello All,
    Version of Crystal Reports: 11.0.0.1282
    Wanted to find out if it is possible to export data from a main report and subreport together in csv format?  So far if I export in csv format it only exports data from main report and not from subreport.
    Thanks,Vivek

    Daniel and Atul highlight the two different kinds of data out processes that Essbase supports: targeted exports of selected parts of the database and full backup/migration-ready exports.
    You didn't state what you were trying to do, but you will want to follow one or the other approach, depending on need. I wouldn't, for instance, use a targetted export to write out the entire db -- it would be very slow (to put it mildly). By the same token, writing out the entire db to a comma delimted columnar file to get 50 records would be a bit of a time waster, too.
