CMP and queries with 'fixed parameters'

Question

Is is possible to create a customer finder that specifies actual values for the where clause?
for example
findByxxxSQL select * from user where emailrequired = true
rather than
findByXXXSQL select * from user where emailrequired = ?
then passing 'true' in as a parameter of the finder method.
I will always want to search on the same value and will sometimes want to use this way of doing things to omit specific rows from the resultset. It makes sense to do this at the db end.
if I wrap the value (i.e. 'true') in single quotes in the deployment tool, on saving the tool replaces these characters with escape characters, I then get invalid character exceptions.
Without quotes I get invalid column name exceptions.
I always set
findByXXXParms emailrequired

Or,
Make that column a Number(1) and store 1 for true and 0 for false. now you can use the query,
select * from user where emailrequired = 1.

Create a view in your db,
create view trueuser as select * from user where emailrequired = 'true',
and use the query,
select * from trueuser;
