Error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: overflow detected
Hi,
Our application is using WebLogic 10.3.3 as the application server and we recently noticed an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException when we start WebLogic. WebLogic is then forced to shutdown. After some unsuccessful search on the Internet and this forum, I was wondering if anyone know what this exception mean? What is causing this exception?
The following is extracted from the server log file:

Thanks in advance!Hi,
Thank you for your help.
I talked to the team, no one is executing any security test. The java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException simply occur when WebLogic 10.3.3 was started.
May have something to do with the jar files from "oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\mbeantypes". We do use a custom jar files for Authentication, but is the first time we notice this error.
Will try to do some investigation.
Once again, thanks. -
Do you develop Java Desktop Applications based on netbeans RCP?
do you develop Java Desktop Applications based on netbeans RCP?
http://nextbridge.net/netbeans/ ,a definitive source for netbeans plugins informationI don't. For the moment it seems too complicated. I follow the MVC pattern when the application is big and try to look at the code of successful projects.

K Nearest Neighbor Algorithm Code in Java
I am looking for a code in Java for K nearest neighbor algorithm (considering clusters if possible which is able to detect outlier clusters).
Thanks!

Edited by: win13 on Oct 1, 2007 12:00 PMinterface MS{ // metric space
double dist(MS p); // distance between this point and argument
MS[] kNN(MS data, MS target, int k){
MS[] res = new MS[k]; double[] d = new double[k];
int n = 0; // number of element in the res
// check inputs for validity
if(data.length == 0 || k<=0) return res; // bail on bad input
double dd = target.dist(data[0]); // load first one into list
res[n] = data[0]; d[n++] = dd;
// go through all other data points
for(int i = 1; i<data.length; i++){
if( n<k || d[k-1] > (dd = target.dist(data))){ //add one
if(n<k){res[n] = data[i]; d[n++] = dd;}
int j = n-1;
while(j>0 && dd < data[j-1]){ // slide big data up
res[j] = res[j-1]; d[j] = d[j-1]; j--;
res[j] = data[i]; d[j] = dd;
return res;
As I said, I don't feel that this code is that difficult. I would be more concerned as to whether the data admits the particular definition of outlier that you have selected.
It is a mistake to assume that one particular definition of a cluster or an outlier will work in all cases. For example using the definition you supply, if you have one single mega cluster of a thousand elements located within a foot of one another here on earth and you have about 10 other "clusters', each with but a single element, each a single light year apart but all somewhere out near the andromeda galaxy, you will conclude that cluster centers are on the average about one light year apart but that there is one bad outlier, that one way over there on earth.
But, hey it's your data. Go nuts.
Just for the record, I don't typically test code that I type into the forum so what I have supplied may not even compile and certainly should not be assumed to be correct. You will need to read it, and treat it as an outline for the code that you will need to write.

How to write JSP code in Java Script Code
Hello friends
I have code like
<script language="JavaScript">
function f()
(some code is here)
</script>
Now i wants to put some JSP code in f()
So can i do this ? IF yes then how ?
(one solution may be make JSP function and call that JSP function from the f().So in that case how can i call JSP function from JavaScript??
If other method is there then please mail meIf it's a simple matter of mixing client-side code with server side code, it can be done so long as you're using the server-side to write the client-side.
For example:
<h1>Good Morning Mr. Phelps</h1>
<input name=anybodyFunction type=text>
<% if (userIsAdmin) { %>
<input name=adminOnlyFunction type=text>
etc.
<% } %>
<h1>This browser will self-destruct in ...</h1>
That's JSP (inside the <% %>) mixed with HTML.
Javascript goes 100% on the client-side. If you're writing JSP with inter-mixed HTML, you might have to inter-mix the java-script.
For example: Suppose you need to validate the form. "adminOnlyFunction", among others, is a mandatory field, and you want the Javascript to only submit the form if all mandatory fields are set. Well, if the user is NOT an administrator, then that field WILL be left blank.
One way to handle that is with mixing JSP/HTML/Javascript on the SERVER side.
<h1>Good Morning Mr. Phelps</h1>
<input name=mandatory1 type=text>
<input name=optional1 type=text>
<% if (userIsAdmin) { %>
<input name=adminOnlyFunction type=text>
<% } %>
<input name=submit type=button value=Submit onClick="checkit()">
etc. etc.
<script language=Javascript>
function checkit() {
var f = document.form;
if (
  f.mandatory1.value == ""
  || f.mandatory1.value == ""
  || f.mandatory2.value == ""
<% if (userIsAdmin) { %>
  || f.adminOnlyFunction.value == ""
<% } %>
    ) {alert ("Hey! You left out a required field!!");}
etc. etc. etc.
I imagine THIS might be what is meant by "mixing JSP with Javascript", and in this particular fashion, it can be done. What you're doing is making decisions on the server side over what to write out to the client. That client code can make further decisions based on user input.
However, once it's on the client side, you can not have anymore JSP code. The client NEVER runs JSP code. -
Signature to detect mobile cell client
Hello
I have question about create signature which detect client from phone mobile cell network ?
It is possibe to create this signature to IPS based on cisco module ssl-card for router 7600 ?
Thanks
MarcinI don't think there's a standard way to do that....
The best you can do is to determine if the device implements one particular library.
Why do you need this? Maybe there's another way to do it.

How do I rewrite current code for java 1.3
I'm using the code below that is written for java 1.4. I have been told that the company can not push JRE 1.4 to the company, and that I need to write my code for java 1.3. I'm using org.w3c.dom for my create xml, etc.
Is there a java 1.3 option to the 1.4? Any help would be very appreciated.

int stschk(int s1,int s2)
if(((s1==DEAD)&&(s2==ALIVE))||
((s1==ALIVE)&&(s2==DEAD))) return ALIVE;
else return DEAD;Being picky, that's not C++, that's C. Standard headers in C++ dont' have .h after them, loop variables are scoped with the for, you use constants rather than #defines, etc..
C and C++ both don't initialise arrays by default; you'd have to write an initialiser to get it to zero out the array:
int s[sz][sz] = {};gcc will insert a call to memset to zero the array.
If the author was assuming that the array was zeroed out, there would be no point zeroing the first row and column.
The code reads values which haven't been initialised. If you mark such values explicitly undefined, and change the program to report an error when undefined, then you get several cases where the program makes such report.
So either it' s a primitive random number generator (some random number generators use uninitialised memory as a source of randomness), or it's buggy, or it's processing undefined data and throwing away the result. Either way, it cannot be directly be ported to Java if the undefined values (which are limited to a small area of the ouput) are significant. -

A very important place where you will use JAVA in XI is while doing your Mapping. There will be cases when JAVA MAPPING is the best solution to go for. There are 2 types of Parsers available for JAVA Mapping. DOM Parser and SAX parser. Hi All,
The Actual query to perform is below.
SELECT name,number from emp WHERE CASE WHEN :1='T' AND term_date IS Not NULL THEN 1 WHEN :1='A' AND term_date IS NULL THEN 1 WHEN :1='ALL' THEN 1 ELSE 1 END = 1;
I have tried in DB adapter like below as a parameter for :1 as #vInputParam
SELECT name,number from emp WHERE CASE WHEN #vInputParam='T' AND term_date IS Not NULL THEN 1 WHEN #vInputParam='A' AND term_date IS NULL THEN 1 WHEN #vInputParam='ALL' THEN 1 ELSE 1 END = 1;
Getting Error code :17003 .java.sql.SQLException: Invalid column index error.
Please suggest me on using ':' bind character in DB adapter Select Query SOA11g.
Can someone help me on this please?
Thanks,
HariHi,
Could you please make sure your binding style(Oracle Positional,Oracle named..etc) of the Seeded VO and Custom Vo are same.
This is the option you will get when you are extending your vo. So make sure that both are same.
You can refer the below link too
VO extension leads to "Invalid column index" exception
Thanks

Signature field detected - I never added a signature field
Hi, when I open my PDF in Reader, I suddenly get a green bar along the top saying "Signature field detected." I never added a signature field to the PDF. How do I remove this green bar? Thanks, Siegfried
Windows 7, 64. MSIE 10. All updates installed. And BTW, I am now in "compatability mode" - still nogo.
Perhaps related: I've noticed since... maybe a few months ago: The paste "cache" (or whatever it's called) works differently now. Now if I "copy", then open a program, then hit "paste", nothing happens. That is: I have to open the target ap before copying from the original ap.
And so, if I want to copy from Word to Excel... If I copy, then open Excel... "paste" does nothing. I have to go back to Word, copy again, and then paste.
Caveat: I have not done any troubleshooting with this. And so, I can't say 100% that that is what's happening there. Maybe just 95%.
I've assumed this apparent change is some sort of new security thing from MS to prevent cross-ap pasting instigated by malware. But other than that, paste works in every other ap I have - whether I copy from Text Editor to paste into another ap, or copy & paste within an ap, etc. Except right here. -
