I need to know the differnece between the Numeric Limit Test between the TestStand version 3.0 to 3.1. If there is any differnec in the source code how to find it out? If somebody has the code can you share it?
Thanks,
JeyanHi,
I don't believe there are any differences between the two versions. But you can check the source code for the Numeric Limit Test in TestStand\Components\NI\StepTypes\CommonSubsteps. But the main part of the step is the Code Module and this bit the users supplies this.
What has prompted this question?

Equivalent code in JCE for the given C# AES code
Can somebody give me the equivalent code in JCE for the given C# AES code below?
(Ofcourse, I checked this topic
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=603209
as well, but couldn't figure out much; I have
little knowledge in this area; I've a job to figure out an equivalent code for
this and use it in JSP.)
Thanks,
RK.
byte[] bytesToEncrypt = ASCIIEncoding.ASCII.GetBytes(stringToEncrypt);
//RijndaelManaged uses AES and defaults to CBC mode
RijndaelManaged rij = new RijndaelManaged();
rij.KeySize = 128;
ICryptoTransform encryptor = rij.CreateEncryptor(
Convert.FromBase64String("7inEMafSQqaSANhMe92Gdw=="), initializationVectorBytes );
byte[] encryptedBytes = encryptor.TransformFinalBlock(bytesToEncrypt, 0, bytesToEncrypt.Length);Hello...
I've come up with this source, based on the examples given out there
but, the ultimate output is will be an URL that'll be submitted as request.
Looks like the data length is very high (as I get some error from the
server, when I send the request url).
Just wondering how do I make this code to do the same thing as given
in the C# code above.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
RK.

Searching for Sales Order for the given Customer PO Number Pattern in BAPI
Hi,
I have developed a BAPI which retrieves all the Sales Orders for a given Customer (Sold-To). The Following are the Input Parameters given in the Function Module (RFC).
Customer Number (Mandatory)
From Date (Optional)
To Date (Optional)
Sales Order Number(Optional)
Customer PO Number(Optional)
Now, when the Customer PO Number is populated, it will come as a Pattern, say 9ab* and I need to retrieve all the Sales Orders with PO Number starting with 9ab.
When I am trying to retrieve, it is giving different set of output based on the Case specified in the Customer PO Number Pattern. Lets say, if I give 9ab, I get 200 Records but if I give 9AB, I get only 5 to 6 Records.
As I have understood from the Standard Transaction VA03, it has a Search Help VMVAA which retrieves all the Sales Orders for the given PO Number pattern irrespective of the Case, that is Lower Case, Upper Case or Mix of Upper and Lower Case.
I can see the Code in the Search Help Exit but couldn't find useful piece of code which I can implement in my BAPI to simulate the same.
Can somebody help me on this?
Thanks,
Venkat.Hi Sudhir,
I think you did not understand what my problem is. What I mean to say is, for Customer X, the PO Number could be 9abc and for Customer Y, the PO Number Could be 9ABC.
So, according to your logic, if I translate it to Upper Case, it will give the Sales Order details of Customer Y to Customer X.
And more over, SAP stores the PO Number as it is entered in the Sales Order Screen (VA01).
What if the Customer PO Number for Customer X is 9aBcDeFgH? and the PO Number for Customer Y is 9AbCdEf?
Hope you've understood my question.
Thanks,
Venkat. -

EHSM - Create Vendor - error: 'Could not find a document for the given key'
Dear all,
In the Chemical Approval Process I have attached a SDS document to the Approval Request. You can assign a Vendor to the SDS. As there are no (EHSM) Vendors currently available in the system I would like to create a new (EHSM) Vendor by clicking on 'Create Vendor'.
This will lead me to the following Webdynpro Application: Edit Vendor (EHFND_UI_VENDOR_OVP).
Only one field is shown in the Webdynpro named: 'Name of the Vendor'. After typing a name e.g. 'test', the following error message appears; 'Could not find a document for the given key'. See also attached document. This issue looks like a missing number range, however I could not find a EHSM number range for Vendors.
How to solve this issue?
More information:
Software Component: SAP EHS Management (EHSM) Support Package: 3
Process: Chemical Approval
Webdynpro application: EHFND_UI_VENDOR_OVP
Thank you.
Kind regards,
RoyHi
babooraj
This might be a problem with Windows Power Shell.
The solution is to copy the folder: "PSWorkflow" from "C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\"
to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules"
Than everything works fine.
Ps.: @Microsoft, please fix this problem in future versions.

Generating 2 test reports for the same test - XML and HTML
Hi All,
I have a special test requirement.
Need to generate 2 test reports for the same test. One in HTML and the other in XML format.
Is there any direct method for that?
How it can be implemented?
Thanks in advance.
SajKHi SajK,
To accomplish this task, you will need to modify the process model. For example, if you are using the sequential process model, you can concentrate on the TestReport sequence call and the various report related steps in the Single Pass and Test UUTs sequences.
The TestReport sequence (also a callback) relies on Parameters.ReportOptions.Format to decide which of the following sequences to use when generating the report:
<TestStand>\Components\NI\Models\TestStandModels\reportgen_txt.seq
<TestStand>\Components\NI\Models\TestStandModels\reportgen_html.seq
<TestStand>\Components\NI\Models\TestStandModels\reportgen_xml.seq
In your case, instead of choosing one of the sequences, you could hard code it to use both the html and xml sequences. Be aware that for this to work, you must also modify and/or duplicate most of the report related steps in the Single Pass and Test UUTs sequences. For instance, the Set Report Format step becomes unnecessary since you are hard-coding the report format. On the other hand, the Write UUT Report step needs to be duplicated, one step to write to an html file location, and another to write to the xml file location.
Please note that modifying the process mode in this way will deprecate some of the settings in the report options dialog box (such as the report format). For more information on TestStand report generation, please refer to the following DevZone article:
Report Generation Explained

Can anybody tell me how to get the month for the given week..
In my requirement I have week(201026).
For this input, i nedd the month for this 26th week .
Thanks in Advance.
Moderator Message: Basic Date-related questions are not allowed since they are FAQ.
Edited by: kishan P on Dec 17, 2010 1:17 PMHere's that code modified to something much more like what you specified. It prints the number of weeks between to dates inclusive, eg. there are 4 weeks between "Feb 1, 2003" and "Feb 28, 2003" not 3.something.
I am now using the number of milliseconds in a day instead of in a week. The value 86400 is 24*60*60.
I've also changed the input format to support days like
June 1, 2003. Note you will need to put the args in "" when you run it because of the spaces.
import java.util.Date;
import java.text.*;
public class TestTP
static double MILLIS_PER_DAY = 86400*1000;
public static void main( String args[ ] ) {
double weeks;
Date d0,d1;
for (int i = 0; i<(args.length-1); i+=2)
d0 = parseDate(args);
if(null == d0)System.out.println(args[i]+" is bad");
else
d1 = parseDate(args[i+1]);
if(null == d1)System.out.println(args[i+1]+" is bad");
else
double days = dayDiff(d0,d1); // get difference in days
weeks = (1+days)/7; // make it inclsive in weeks
System.out.println(args[i+1]+" is "+weeks+" weeks after "+args[i]+" inclusive");
static Date parseDate(String ds)
Date dt;
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("MMM d, yyyy");
sdf.setLenient(false);
try{dt = sdf.parse(ds);}
catch (ParseException e){dt = null;}
return dt;
static double dayDiff(Date d0, Date d1)
return (d1.getTime()-d0.getTime())/(MILLIS_PER_DAY); -
Content Query Web Part (CQWP) displaying ASCII code for the colon portion of a time
I'm having an issue with a CQWP displaying : for the colon portion of a time. For example, instead of 6:30, the CQWP shows 6:30.
I checked our encoding which is set to UTF-8. We also have a custom style on the CQWP and I've made sure that our custom itemstyle.xsl file has the disable-output-escaping property set to yes.
When I look at the list I'm querying from, the ascii code is not showing in there; it's displaying properly as 6:30. I tried to flip this by replacing the colon with the ascii symbol in the list but it still showed the ascii code on the CQWP.
Any ideas?Hi Cameron, thanks for your reply. The solution in the blog would work for an area that is only for date or time. Unfortunately, this particular section of my CQWP is more than just a time; it's the summary of a news article--
which may or may not contain a time depending on what the news article is about.
In further testing I have also noticed, when viewing the source code, that the colon is represented as
: which tells me that the ampersand of the ascii code for the colon is also being convertied to ascii (in a sort-of double
conversion situation.) This isn't something I've ever seen before.
