Code Signing Apple Account Permissions

Hi,
I have a question regarding the subjects - "Gatekeeper" and "Code Signing". However,
first I have to explain the circumstances I am in. I have developed an application
remotly controlling a camera via USB for a larger company which will distribute the
software along with the camera (no apple store). Since the gatekeeper the client is
asking me to digitally sign the code so that the gatekeeper will stop poping out.
The problem is that they want to use their own apple account and they are asking
what permissions it (the account) should have in
order for me (extern firm) to code sign the application. I have read for example that
the account has to be enrolled for the Mac Developer Program, but there is A LOT
information on the subject, I seem to struggle with putting the actions together that
they should take in order to generate such an account (due to the numerous options
and use cases).
Hence the question, does anybody know what kind of account should they set up
for me in order to code sign the app and not having too many permissions (i guess that
is the main point)?
I have a developer account and the codesiging itself is not a problem, that I have to
do it with an account specifically prepared for that and the explanation (step-by-step)
how such an account should be set up is what I can't put together.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

I have now managed to resolve the issue, despite this appearing to be a unique problem.
After quite a large amount of googling, I noticed that other people that just had issues with iTunes and the App store not allowing updates, downloads etc were frequently caught out by not having a credit card set up. As such,
i then looked to see how to access my billing info to check that everything was up to date on my end. To do this, one goes to settings>App Store>AppleID and then should be presented with a dialogue box letting one choose to view account info. When selecting to do this, I got bounced the same error. Thus I concluded the problem must be with the ID. Further attempts at accessing or updating my info didn't work (you can't just do so online without connecting to another computer etc, as that is clearly more user friendly...) so I guessed there would be little harm in just signing out and back in again - it might at least give me the recursive login problem instead which is possibly fixable. Needless to say, I didn't have the recursion issue, and was able to sign back in fine, and finally access amd update my billing info. The credit card I had been using was cloned a while ago so obviously it had been cancelled, and I think this is what caused the initial issue, while Apple's paranoid purchasing system meant that it was never flagged for my attention.
SO if you've stumbled upon this article suffering from the same issue (at the time of writing I know this to be a unique support posting) I hope this solves it for you. If not, I'm feel sorry for you, and you'll likely be crap out of luck and on your own - welcome to Apple tech support.

Using Apple Mac Developer account for code signing

Has anyone been using their Apple Mac Developer account for code signing and Adobe Air desktop App?
Any hints, tips comments appreciated!

Why would I do that? I simply want to know, is the binary file I downloaded signed by with MY cert? I can determine this within reasonable doubt by answering two simple questions:
1. Is the cert that this file signed with valid (chain of trust and all that).
2. What is the name of the cert (the identity).
If the Identity is the right one (in our case, the name of our company) and it is valid, then I will trust that this binary is ours.
Maybe this will clarify my question. I guess I could rephrase this question as:
"How do I write a simple tool that will verify a file has a valid signature and will give me the signer's identity"?

Problems signing up for an Apple account to use iTunes.

I tried to sign up for an apple account to use iTunes, and I filled out all the information until I got to the part where you have to have a credit card of paypal account.
The debit card I used works as a credit card as well (Mastercard). I entered the numbers in, and continued, it asked me what county I lived in, for tax purposes, and then brought me back to the numbers, saying my security code was not valid.
I didn't get the code wrong, I know that. But I was worried that the problem might be that the account in question was overdrawn at the time.
Could that be the problem, and why the security code was 'not valid'?

Hi Kilagannon,
If you are having problems with the paying methods section of the iTunes account, you could try buying iTunes cards. By doing so, you will be able to make an account without having any credit card/PayPal paying methods.
1. Buy an iTunes card.
2. Go to iTunes main page and on the right of the page you will see under Quick Links an option called Redeem.
3. Type in the code on the card and hit Redeem.
4. iTunes will tell you to make an account, you will have to fill in your name, e-mail address/password, secret question, address... When you get to the Paying Method section, iTunes will have automatically added a new method, in the Credit Card box, which is "None".
You won't have to worry about credit card issues and taxes or anything.
This is not really an answer to your question, but a suggestion to your problem.

Is it possible that the person who sent the message to your phone sent it to your phone # instead? Try sending a message to your phone via the email address and see if it shows up on the iPad.

Try this:
Open the iTunes app, select the Music tab, then scroll all the way down to the bottom. Here you can sign out of any current Apple ID and sign into a new one. Good luck!
And just in case there is another Apple ID linked to your account you can check at http://appleid.apple.com.

I had an Apple account on my old Lap Top to which my iPad and iPhone were syncd. I now have a new Lap Top and when I tried to access my apple ID on it I was asked to sign up for a new account. I can't use any of them.

I am puzzled by this. The laptop doesn't need the Apple ID - but iTunes does. I could be missing something but ....
Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country).

Apple account signed into two phones, need to remove one.

Tried searching for this scenario but didnt find anything exactly like my situation.
My wife got a new iphone and gave me her old one so i could play games (I have my Apple ID/ iTunes account). The old phone I'm using doesnt function as a phone anymore (no cell service) and I just use it on Wifi to download and play app.
The issue is her apple iD is still signed into the iCloud and anytime she adds a new contact on her phone it also prompts the old phone to update.
My fear in turning off the cloud is that this will impact not only the old phone but her new phone as I'd be making a change to her overall Apple account.
My goal is I want to completely remove my wifes content from the old phone (either by disconnecting her account or by resetting the phone) and I want to be confident that by me doing so, I will not accidently impact her account or anything on her new phone.
Can anyone confirm the best course of action and /or any risks in doing so?
