I have an instance of Oracle Collaboration Suite. I would like to migrate the users email to Beehive. Is there a tool for email migration that I can use at this time?

Migration from Oracle Collaboration Suite

I am having some trouble to migrate an Oracle Collaboration Suite from one server to another one. We are seriously considering to migrate to Sun Collab instead. Is it possible to use Oracle Collab's directory, mail and calendar information? Is it possible to import to Sun Collab?

This is exactly my question too, my customer has implemented a document management solution based on OCS (Content Services) and Oracle BPEL. Now it is not clear where to go and additionally, considering a lot of problems with those products, they are considering other solutions to move too. If there is a migration plan (at least from the licensing point) this would help much.

Dificult to say. The market has not adopted the OCS as a big product. Maybe this will change with beehive (next version).
OCS requires you to have DB + AS + OCS skills. So you will have a lot to do and you'll work on a visible (corporate email) system. Lots of fun + lot of stress.

I am not 100 % sure on this but if we think logically below can be the solution ......
You have OID + Infra .....that infra is vanila & not for ocs , but MR can be converted for OCS specific by running REPCA for OCS (Repository Configuration Assistant) . So if Repca is sucessful it wil make the necessary changes .....
As when you install CS files , email etc .....you can use the same infra if above works fine ;)
Will research more on this & will let you know ......
I guess 11g OCS is far .......to early to think abt that :)

CS6 Design Standard , clone, migration tool, trial mode (urgence)

Hi all and sorry for this question.
I clone on a external disk my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.7) with Super Dumper .
Then i have istalled OSX 10.8.2 and imported all data and applications with the migration tool during the installation.
My problem is that now my CS6 Standard Edition Suite is in trial mode.
I have a Box CS6 Design Standard licence - i have to re-insert my serial number?
Why Apple Migration Assistant not transfer also the data of licence?
It is normal or it's clone that is bugged?

Adobe applications should be installed, not migrated. I suggest the cleaner tool be used to uninstall all of it and then re-install the software properly.

Go to NWA>Configuration>Infrastructure>Java System Properties, Click on the Applications tab and search tc~pi~tools~dirmig~wd & Start Application as shown in below screenshot.

Oracle Collaboration Suite in a box download file 3 is corrupt

I was just trying to download the "in a box" install for Collaboration suite and file:
win32_ocs_90411_singlebox_Disk3.zip
is not a valid archive. Can somebody please fix it and let me know when it is done as I am trying to do an evaluation of Oracle Files

I know you can download the client tools on the Oracle site:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/index.html
You need to register, but it's free though
Otherwise, if you licensed SAP with Oracle, on market place you'll get the Oracle DVD's. Inside those, run the Oracle Installer and instead of installing the DBMS, choose to install only client tools

A customer requires that the Oracle Collaboration Suite to have project management capabilities. This includes gantt chart, task assignment and task list. Does OCS have any such portlets?
Else are there any such 3rd party products that works well with OCS?

Maybe the project management tools have appeared in the last release of OCS - OCS 10g R1?

Migration tool 3.5 to 4.0 - trying to locate

Hello all,
I am starting a project to move from 3.5 Commerce to 4.0 Portal. Found the migration
gudie but have have not seen any mention of the migration tool.
Maybe someone will tell me where it is in the BEA code base.... I think it is
in the portal 4.0 down load but I am not sure.

Migration tool Usage - Source & target portal versions

Central note for portal migration specifies that the source portal should be in SP2 Patch 5. However the note is not clear about target portal version. The situation is that we have our current portal in EP6SP2 Patch 4 and we are evaluting Netweaver portal features like collaboration with Stack 11 since Stack 9 (SR1) and Stack10 are having few problems.We obviously want to migrate portal contents in to Stack 11 to avoid upgrade down time.
1.Can we use the migration tool to migrate portal contents from SP2 Patch 5 to Stack 11 portal?.
2. Why the source EP6Sp2 portal should be in Patch level 5. Is migration tool using any specific features of Patch 5?. ( Since we are in EP6SP2 Patch 4, we need resources to upgrade to Patch 5, test the contents after patch 5 and live with "known issues" of patch 5 for some time before migrating).
I am sure that i am not the only persion in this situation ( Upgrade to Patch 5 -> Migrate Contents to SR1 -> Upgrade to Stack 11) . is anybody having any shortcuts to reduce the complexity of upgrading the portal to Netweaver environment?.

Hi,
Currently the flow you have descibed in the bottom of your post is correct. the source system must be at least EP6 SP2 Patch5.
The target system should be NW04 SR1 (no additional patches and no additional SPs). To this version you can run the migration. After the migration is done, one should upgarde to SP11.
Unfortunately, currently there is no shortcut...

Problems to change color Portlets in the Collaboration Suite

Hello:
I have one problem I need Customizing Fonts Color but I follow the steps in the Oracle® Collaboration Suite Administrator's Guide customizations to the logos, colors, and fonts used in various Oracle Collaboration Suite interfaces.
But when I change the font color to the "porlet header page" and click apply only change this color in some portlets but not in all the portlets....
How I fix That

I use the portlet style in the builder. Where I find the .xss .
Olso I follow the steps in the administrator guide:
Use the Portal style editor tool to customize the appearance of the Por
tal home page:
a. Use the Style Element Type drop-down list to view style settings for various style elements (Common, Portlets, Tabs, and Items).
b. Within each style element type, use the Style Element Properties tool to customize style properties.
c. Click the Apply button to apply your changes and preview the result in the Preview section.
