Collating Array of Data by name

Hi all,
I am new to LabVIEW (barely 3 weeks). I have successfuly written my first VI collating data from 8 temperature and 4 pressure channels. I further wish to have the data collated in the file by name. This is so I could distinctively distinguish between different array of data by name. Can anyone help.

the TDMS file format suits your needs exactly.
TDMS files store data in channels, channel groups can be created for related channels to structure data. They can store measurement related metadata by storing individual properties for files and groups, they also support high-speed streaming. TDMS file support is tightly integrated into most NI software products and the format specification is public, so it can be integrated into third party software as well.
For programming examples please open the NI Example Finder (Help menu -> Find Examples...) and search for the keyword 'TDMS', you will find plenty of great sample VIs.

Hi all,
I have an iMovie project in iMovie HD 6.0.3. (Mac OS 10.5.8)
It plays, but I cannot copy the file (including saving it to a flash drive). I get either a message
"the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in [name of
iMovie file] could not be read or written (Error Code 26)" or the
message "A project file is missing. The file [name of the QuickTime
movie inside the project.dv] couldn't be opened and is being skipped."
This happened suddenly, I was able to save a backup version numerous
times while working on the project.
I followed some of Karl Petersen's advise on apple discussions. I opened
the package contents, and everything seems to be there. The source file
(original QuickTime movie) is there and can be opened and played. I
replaced the current project file with the backup in the package
contents, but that did not change anything. I was able to export the
movie timeline into a new project as a single clip, but would like to be
able to copy the current project.

Make sure all drives are formatted as "Mac OS Extended". (Journalling preferred, but not necessary).

Getting 2D array of data in tabular format using web services

Hi all,
I was trying to fetch data from MS access database and populate the same 2D array of data on my web browser. But unfortunately it says that the 2D array is not a "supported data type" for web applications and hence the 'build fails'.
I would like to know if there is any method to represent my 2D data in a tabular format in my web broweser using the webservices. Needless to say, it can give such a good readiability!!!

A name that identifies a specific instance of a running pre-release 8.1 Oracle database. For any database, there is at least one instance referencing the database.
For pre-release 8.1 databases, SID is used to identify the database. The SID is included in the connect descriptor of a tnsnames.ora file and in the definition of the listener in the listener.ora file.

is no Microsoft ODBC driver shown in ODBC Data source administrator.Then I go to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and open Odbcad32.exe and add Microsoft ODBC2 driver for Oracle and when I run my application I got following error

Did you add a System DSN or a User DSN? If you added a User DSN from your own login, the asp.net application will not be able to use it unless its application Pool in IIS is configured to run under the same credentials that you used for creating
the DSN. It's better if you add a System DSN.
Also, be careful to ensure that you are using a 64 bit DSN, unless you configure the application to run in 32 bits. If the 64 bit application attempts to use the 32 bit driver you get the same error message "Data source name not found and no default

You can get the ProjectModifiedDate column in MSP_EPMProject_userView in the Reporting DB where you can
get the data based on the projectUID.
The "last saved" date in the draft DB (be aware that querying in the draft DB is not supported by MS).
For the "last modified by", I think it is not stored in any place.
But you can develop custom code upon publishing the project (Event BeforePublish), writing the current
date and username automatically into a custom enterprise field.

How to store data file name in one of the columns of staging table

My requirement is to load data from .dat file to oracle staging table. I have done following steps:
1. Created control file and stored in bin directory.
2. Created data file and stored in bin directory.
3. Registered a concurrent program with execution method as SQL*Loader.
4. Added the concurrent program to request group.
I am passing the file name as a parameter to concurrent program. When I am running the program, the data is getting loaded to the staging table correctly.
Now I want to store the filename (which is passed as a parameter) in one of the columns of staging table. I tried different ways found through Google, but none of them worked. I am using the below control file:

How can I organize data by name in a drop down menu?

I created a spread sheet with several drop down menus. The problem I am having is how to organize my data by name. Every new entry is at the bottom of the drop down and can't be moved to a different location. This gets very confusing as I add more names to the drop down cell. In this case my entries consist of Chemical names that make it very hard to recognize or to locate once I open the drop down menu. Any suggestions?

How to store array of data into a single row of table ,using any of Stmts

HI Friends,
Based on my requirements ,i have retrived a set of data from a XXX.jsp page using a request.getParameter() and stored into single dimenssional array . Now i am paassing that array to JAVA class to store a into some table .
In JSP page users can add text boxes dynamically based on his intrest then those attributes will store in table .it means table attributes are not conatant , it table attributes may change at any time when user adds any textboxs or any fields on JSP page ....thats my module ..
Now i wanted to store all array of data into Table in a single row .......thats is my requirements .
How can we use prepareStatement and Statement to store array of results intoo table row ...on each iteration i wanted to store array of results into table atributes ..It means entire array of results should to into table row at time .....coule any one write sytax ,how we do this...
could any one suggest me stps that i can impliment ......?....please reply ASAP

i am doing in that way only. As i mentioned you Table attributes are not constant .It may very if users add any fields dynamically on JSP page .If users have option to add any text box on Jsp page ,then that attribute will store in table as a attribute .
Now i amable fetching the all dyamic form data and stored in a Result Array below ...in this iteration all form result data are from jsp page as suggestion form ,it should stored in table in single row on corrsponding attribtes ......next time when users fills FROM ,then those data i am fetching and storing in a Result Array as below and need to store in corrsponding table attributes in a single row ....

I need to deploy two instances of my ADF application on the same development enviroment. We are using Hudson to deploy. My question is how to change data source name and application context root before second deployment.

I don't believe there is an inbuilt facility to do this.
Previously how I've done this is when checking files out using Hudson jovs, before the build I then use an Ant extension called XmlTask (http://www.oopsconsultancy.com/software/xmltask/) to modify the required XML files.
Can I ask why you're doing this in the first place please? Multi-tenancy? 2 versions of the same app?

SQL Server Reporting Services: ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Hey everyone, So I am trying to get a report onto the server, and in BIDS I kept getting a login screen repeating over and over when I tried to deploy my report, so I tried to upload the file at http://<servername>/Reports This worked, but then trying
to run this report from http://<servername>/Reports did not work either because "An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Cannot create a connection to data source 'FTYDataSource'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection) For more information
about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors" Anyways I tried to add a New Data Source (which I would use in the report) at http://<servername>/Reports, type ODBC, with the connection string Dsn=blah_blahblah.
I try to test the connection here and get the error ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified This is really getting old fast, everything I try, a new error comes up. Granted I am new at this,
but this still should not be this troublesome. Does anyone have any ideas on what could FINALLY allow me to just put a report out onto the server?!? THANK YOU in advance for ANY help.

Please try setting the credentials of the datasource.
1. Double click and open the datasource in your project.
2. Click on the credentials tab, and click on option button 'Use this username and password'
3. Enter the username and password to connect to the datasource
4. Deploy or upload the datasource to the report server and try accessing the reports.

How to add an array of data in Citadel database

I have an array of data which I want to directly put it in the Citadel Database. Normally the write tag VI writes one value at a time. How can this be done ?

It depends on what you really want. Could you be a little more specific? Does each point have its own separate timestamp? If so, you could simply put the "Write Tag.VI" inside a FOR LOOP and insert values one after another. This would give a separate timestamp to each value. I have attached a simple VI that shows how to do this.
Or are you looking to record some type of vector, where you log a complete array of data at each interval? I don't think this is possible (I'm using DSC 6.02) unless the data-type is a bit-array, in which case you would simply use "Write Data (bit array).vi".
Another option, depending on what you are aiming for, would be to create your own "VI-based Device Server" and use the VIs on the palette submenu call
ed "DSC Server Development". With your own Device Driver you can write multiple datapoints to the input queue simultaneuosly. In this way, you can write more than one point at a time... but that doesn't mean that each time interval will contain an array of data. Assuming that the data is analog, the data will still be logged to Citadel "one after another" so that when you look at it with the HTV, you will see one curve of analog values.
