Collections Missing Files - Is there a way to fix them all at once?

Hello,
Due to new computer, all files has been moved to a new location.
Obviously, the collections I have can't find them now and reporting "Missing Files".
Now, I need to fix them by finding them folder by folder, and since the collections contains items from many folders, It will take hours to fix them all so I wondered if there is a way to tell Bridge about the new location of the files all at once.
I hope I managed to explain what I'm looking for.

Which OS? If on Windows you can find your Bridge collections list at (win 7 bridge cs6 example):
C:\Users\user-name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS6\Collections
The files in Collections folder are .filelist - text xml format. You could copy filelists from the old system's Collections folder to the Bridge AppData Collections folder in your new system so long as all the referenced files listed in the collection filelists are in the same disks and folders on your new system.

I wonder what does this message mean Collection Status : File handles exhausted I can't find any solution to my problem, I tried restarting agent, clearstate, upload, resynchronization... all of this did nothing.

AE CC Mac: After Effects Collect Files not collecting some files, including project!

I need to send a client some collected projects, but the File > Dependencies > Collect Files command is not collecting some of the files (after the project has been reduced, so all the files in the project are required), including the project file!
I just end up with a collected folder containing a "Footage" folder that includes some of the files and not others. This is a nightmare!! There are hundreds of files that will take days I do not have to manually track each file down.
Any suggestions?

Master Collection CS5 File Type Images Not Working.

On the adobe master collection the file types should show up with a image. (E.g for a dreamweaver php file it is a custom adobe php image) same with a png file. its the fireworks logo. How do i get this on because the images aren't showing on the file types. I have done re-installs but no fix.

looks like a problem with the windows file assosciation, what is your operating system so I could provide you a registry fix.
I also need to know if the problem is with the exe file or just the file format whenever you create a file from one of the programs.

Hi, sorry, I'm a bit technology-illiterate, and I replied to this post because it looked the most relevant to what I was hoping to accomplish.
I don't have InDesign, so I guess I'm in the wrong forum, but any help ANYONE can provide would be appreciated.
I do apologize for not posting in the right place, but frankly the help page for Adobe Reader 9 (which is what I have) had absolutely no answers to my question.
Basically, the task at hand is to create a coherent, single PDF file, if possible, from 33 images that I have. These images are copies of pages from a primary source document found via the Library of Congress. When I hit the "save image" button on the website, that is the format that they downloaded in.
My OS is Windows Vista. I know that I have, at some point in time, managed to jury-rig a PDF from multiple files before, but I can't remember how on earth I did it the first time because I came about it by accident.
I'll understand if it's impossible to make a PDF out of the files the way that they're currently formated, and I do appreciate your timely response.

Contents of Collections Disappeared (files did NOT move)

I am running CS5, and I just spent a few hours adding files to a new collection. I had to reboot my computer, and when I reopened Bridge, the collection listed (0) files. The real locations of the files are on my harddrive, and were not moved or altered in any way.
I repeated a small test: added a few files to a new collection, closed Bridge, reopened Bridge, and the files were no longer listed in the collection. None of the help literature has suggested that you need to do anything special to save a collection once files have been added to it, but it appears that my collections are not being saved automatically when Bridge closes.
How can the contents of my collections not be emptied every time I close and reopen the program?

That should not happen, there where some problems with files not being kept in the collections when having 'strange' characters like ' and ".
A collection is nothing but a bunch of aliases pointing to the real location and should be reappear after you restarted Bridge or rebooted your computer.
Try first a reset of the preferences, restart Bridge holding down option (Mac) or cntrl (Win) and choose reset preferences, then try again.
And remember, collections in Bridge are usable but still not 100 % reliable. If you put in a lot of work in a certain collection first thing to do is add the collection name also as a keyword to all the containing files and let it finish writing those keywords completely.
That assures you from an extra (and saver, because this data is written in the file itself) option to always being able to recreate your collection using the find command.

Looking for the Garbage Collection log files

I am looking for the Garbage Collection log files which contain the GC events, like this:

The server's GC is already configured accordingly:

I have examined the std_server<x>.out files at the work folder but can't see this info.
My question is: Where would I find these files on the server?

I can't find info in the format I know it not at dev_server* or std_server*.
in std_server I see xml file like this:

Why AE project files in Premiere Pro Project Manager collection of files?

Am I missing something? I can't seem to find any information as to why a AE project file is collected by Premiere Pro CC 2014. I realize that I I'm using AE Comps within Premiere Pro (Dynamic Link). I have always wished that Premiere Pro would "collect" any AE projects being used. But apparently Premiere Pro just collect the AE project file...
If I open the AE project file that Premiere Pro "collected" it still has to locate its resources on my machine, and I also now have two copies of the same AE project file. Nothing gained for me. I still have to "collect" the AE project file which creates yet another copy of the same AE project file... I makes no sense to me and I hope I'm missing a step or overlooking something...
Ideally it would nice if PPro would somehow communicate with AE and have AE collect the project and send it over to Premiere Pro to include in its "collection" of resources.
Am I missing something here?

Discovered another issue. If I'm using multiple AE comps in PPro, PPro generates several AE project files, on for each Comp. If I go back into my PPro collected project file it references those specific AE files. That means I have to collect each of those new AE project files that PPro generated... In addition, PPro won't let me change those references within the PPro collected project file to the original AE project file. What a headache! There has to be another way. Is that the way I'm going to have to collect projects from both PPro and AE now??

Project Manager will not collect all files and Start a Complete New Project

As editor of several projects consisting of multiple terrabytes of footage, it's very important to me to be able to use the project manager to collect all files and start a new project. However, this is not happening!! After I've completely finished a project I should be able to save a new "trimmed" project in the desired location of choice. When I use this feature with PrPro CS 4.2.1 - I only get a partial trimmed project that when opened asks where are the missing files. I've also tried using the project manager to collect all files and move to a new location. Again, only a part of my project is being moved!!!! Earlier versions of the PpPro had no problems with this function. I've got two systems and both of them are identical in actions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

How can one do that if each project has thousands of pieces of video, text templates, music scores, photoshop documents, after effect files and so on? The number of different folders per project is almost mind boggling. Any help at all in a quick fix or update or anything would be greatly appreciated. I don't have any problem with my other editing programs and have run earlier versions of PrPro that had no problems with collecting all the files within a project and exporting them to a new location throught project manager either in trimmed or full projects. I really hate to have to start using Final Cut again because of such an easy issue. I know I'm overlooking something and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I expect the use "Oracle supplied package UTL_FILE" to import our customer order shipments to table by XML format files. I already did the procedure to import one XML file into Table by DBMS_XMLSave.insertXML and UTL_FILE. GET_LINE. And it did work.
My question is :
Is there any way to collect the file list from UTL_FILE_DIR. (I put all import XML files into `/usr/tmp?, I want to get all file names from this folder and feed them into UTL_FILE.FOPEN.)

UTL_FILE_DIR is a very dangerous and deprecated parameter. Oracle very specifically recommends not using it. You should be using directory objects instead.
As for doing a directory listing, you can use Java stored proc. External procs/functions are not required.
The following sample shows how to use such a Java stored proc to insert the result of a directory listing into a session temporary table:

Benefits to collecting sound files?

Is there a benefit in collecting sound files in Soundtrack Pro? I'm running STP 1.3 and have lots of sound files and the timeline is moving very slow and jumpy. if i save the project and click the "collect sound files" button, will this help remedy the problem?

Can you give us some info about the files are you using? (format, ones you recorded?, looping, sample rate, bit depth, etc)
If you have looping files in your timeline, they will play back in the multitrack project's key and tempo - the application does work to change the pitch and speed to get this effect.
When you open those files in the waveform editor they play back as they were originally recorded (native tempo and speed), which will probably sound different.
The multitrack will also convert the sample rate of those files to match the project, but I wouldn't expect that change to be very obvious.
The other things I can think of have to do with effects - you might have track based effects in your multitrack that cause the change in sound. Press the effects button for the track '*' to see if any are being applied. This could be happening on the track where the audio file lives, or in the Busses (via sends) or Outputs.

How to access a specific font in a TrueType font collection (TTC) file

I am trying to create a Font as follows:

This works fine but I need to get a specific font from the collection.
How does one go about creating a font from a particular font within
a collection?
I need to access the font file directly. I can't use the
properties file to install the font first.

You also have to be careful with fonts. The font you download may be the same name, but a different font. Just because you find a Zurich BT font, does not mean it is the same. If you search on the internet, there are several sources of some Zurich BT fonts free. However, they may or may not be the same font. Editing is best done on the original document and not the PDF. One of the PDFs I found on the Landis site was only in Zurich font. I would think that the original file is available from the company and that should be the document you edit, not the PDF. It appears the original was created in InDesign (CS3).

The person who worked my source files found it convenient to separate a catalogue into chapters, making an individual file for each one of them. For some reason i need to make one single file of those chapters. How do i do this?

BPM Collect Pattern:File to IDoc

Hi,
My scenario is File to Idoc. An invoice excel file will be sent by the vendor.The excel has a built in macro, which converts the excel to a csv file and file is placed in a file share server.
*Logic of Macro: *
There will be a button in the excel file containing macro. In one excel file there would be multiple invoices that contains different number of item lines, The macro checks the u2018Invoice Numberu2019, lines with the same invoice number will be saved in one CSV file. So for example a excel file contains 5 invoices, when press the button that contains the macro, there will be 5 CSV files created under the same path, each CSV file contains one invoiceu2019s information.
After this I have to post the Inovices in to SAP using an IDoc.
So, I am using BPM collect pattern to achieve this. In the collect pattern, I see a correlation defined on one of the source fields, What does correlation exaclty do in my case. Let's say I have defined a correlation on Source field called Invoice number.
BTW I am using FCC on the filed adapter to change the CSV(Invoice) to xml

Try removing BPM from ur scenario.
1:n could be achieved without BPM
