Collection or Report query for IE versions

Hi
I'm looking for a way to create a collection and also a report which consists of IE versions. Many of the queries available with forums are showing old versions as well the new versions and it's duplicating the system names. Client systems are running with
Windows 7
Thanks in advance
LMS

Hello Jorgen
The above one gives total number of systems, but not sure about the correctness of numbers returned.
We used below 2 queries for creating the collections and even each of them displyaing different lists
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct on SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct.ResourceID
= SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct.ProductVersion like "x.%" and SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct.ProductName like "%Internet Explorer%"
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile on SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.ResourceID
= SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileName = "iexplore.exe" and SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileVersion like "x.%"
**Replace x with the version number
So not sure which one to use.
Anyway we created collections for IE 8/9/10 & 11, since the list contains overlapped systems or system names we created another collections which contains just IE 8 / 9 / 10 or 11 versions by comparing and removing the collections created before. For
eg. IE 11 collection created before is the one just for IE 11 since there are no newer versions and so no collections, IE 10 Collection (contains only IE 10) by compare IE 10 & 11 collections and excluded those in IE 11, IE 9 Collection created by comparing
IE 9/10 & 11 collections and excluded those in 10 & 11 and so for IE 8 only.
So can you tell me which query provides the exact collection result?
Regards

    OK, I did this once and did not follow the oracle docs
    If you saved your targets.xml before you started you might save it by renaming it back.
    (Double check to make sure you did not miss a rename)
    Otherwise, all I have to offer is my rough notes:
    1. Backup the file $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/emd/targets.xml.
    [oracle@ias02 emd]$ pwd
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/sysman/emd
    cp targets.xml targets.xmlbackup
    2. Modify the file targets.xml by changing all the occurrences of the wrong reports server name by the correct one.
    i.e. Replace rep_test_midtier with rep_new (4 places - changes)
    Copy the conf file as follows: ( this will named different from system to system )
    cp /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/reports/conf/rep_pia_oracleas.conf /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/reports/conf/rep_fam.conf
    run this script:
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/bin/addNewServerTarget.sh rep_fam          (change rep_fam to new report server name)
    3.Update the changed configuration .
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig -ct opmn -v -d
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/dcm/bin/dcmctl resyncinstance -v -d
    4. Restart the Application Server Control Console
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/bin/emctl stop iasconsole
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/bin/emctl start iasconsole
    In the file:
    /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/reports/config/reportsConfig.properties
    Change the Reports_Server_Name setting from rep_test_midtier to rep_fam (change rep_fam to new report server name)
    Best Wishes (I was able to save mime)
    The other option is to reinstall

  • Query for file version less than 10.0 does not return expected data

    I'm trying to build a query for all PCs that have a version of Iexplore.exe in c:\windows\program files\ that is less than 10.0 .  When I run the query it returns no data. When I change 10.0 in the query to 9.9 it returns files with version 10.xxx in
    the results.  Its as if it is seeing 10.0 as 1.0.   Is this expected ?
    select SMS_R_System.Name, SMS_R_System.ADSiteName, SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileName, SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileVersion from  SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile on SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where
    SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileName = "iexplore.exe" and SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FilePath = "C:\\program files\\internet explorer\\" and SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileVersion < "9.9"

    It is because the values are not integer, they are a string. And therefore 1 is smaller then 9.

  • E Recruitment : Report/Query for Activity Status

    Hi,
    Is there a standard report/query which shows all the activities with their corresponding status and due dates.
    If not, can someone guide me how to capture this data, in terms of tables which store this details.
    Any inputs on this please....
    Thanks
    MM
    Edited by: abaphr_mm on Oct 29, 2010 6:56 PM

    Hi,
    could you give some additional information on your requirement?
    If you need support for the every day work of the recruiter there are standard bsp applications (up to ehp 3) and work sets (for ehp 4 sp 4 and higher) which show the planned activities and planned correspondences for them.
    If you need some statistic over all recruiters the are some infosets but I never used them as they never met the requirements in my projects. I'd probably write some report reading the activity infotypes (tables HRP5135 to HRP5142/43 or 45 depending on your e-rec release) directly. For statistics please keep in mind that recruiters tend to not complting all of their activities. So you might gather tons of data from candidacies / applications which belong to requisitions which are already closed.
    Best regards

  • Call to predefined Report Query for PDF download does nothing

    I am trying to download a PDF report which is based upon 2 queries. Each query has a where clause with values taken from page items. I have installed OBI Publisher 11.1.1.5 and used the OBI Publisher 11.1.1.5 Word plug-in to create the RTF file that I then uploaded to the Shared Components->Report Layout.
    I created a new region button to call the Report Query. However, whenever I click on the button to download the PDF, nothing happens. I have looked at the debug and the button appears to be executing OK, except that nothing happens.
    The APEX to OBIP configuration is working since I am able to have OBIP generate other report PDFs that aren't using the predefined query. Stated a bit differently, reports regions that have the Print Attributes set to "Enable Report Printing=Yes" and "Report Layout=Default Report Layout" work fine. Reports based upon the predefined query and launched using a region button do not do anything.
    Environment: APEX 4.1, DB 11.2.0.2, OBIP 11.1.1.5
    Any help with this PDF issue is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Reid

    Thank you again for your reply, Udo.
    Here are my responses:
    * As a matter of fact, I am doing a copy / paste from the predefined query to the report region source.
    ** What exactly do you mean by that? Don't you print the actual region?
    I need to produce a PDF that is the compilation of 4-5 queries. Therefore, I cannot print a region to PDF since APEX (as far as I know) does not allow for the printing of multiple regions (1 query per region) to a single PDF file. So, I am creating a PDF that is based upon multiple queries which I predefine in the shared components -> report queries. Then, I'm creating a region button that calls a downloadable report when it is clicked.
    Your question has made me realize that indeed it doesn't matter what query I have in the report region since I am calling a predefined report. When nothing was happening when I attempted to generate the PDF, I guess I started to think that the problem was with the queries on the page and so I made them match exactly with what the queries are in the shared components->report queries.
    Please advise if something is wrong with my understanding here.
    I checked the OBI Publisher logs (at least what I could locate) and I didn't see anything show up there.
    /u02/app/ohs/obip_mw/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/servers/AdminServer/logs
    I checked the OHS access_log and I didn't see anything that looks like an error. I also don't see anything in the APEX page debug. It appears to process normally when the button is clicked.

  • REST API Query for file Versions - current version

    Hi,
    I have referred to the list of API query options from this link:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn450841.aspx .
    As described in the post, the query  goes as below
    url: "<app web url>/_api/SP.AppContextSite(@target)/web
        /getfilebyserverrelativeurl('/Shared Documents/filename.docx')/versions
        ?@target='<host web url>'",
    This does not return the current file version details. Is there a way to get those details in the same query or should we place another query to get the current version file details as below
    url: "<app web url>/_api/SP.AppContextSite(@target)/web
        /getfilebyserverrelativeurl('/Shared Documents/filename.docx')
    Thanks,
    Meena

    Hi Meena,
    In FileVersion endpoint, it will only return the old versions of a file.
    If you want to retrieve all versions(including) of a file, there will be a need to run another request for the current version only, though which might cause extra workload.
    Thanks

  • Generic report query that will work against common table ..

    Context
    We have a custom audit log scheme that inserts all table changes into a backing table via triggers. For example, an insert into table ORDER would cause a insert into ORDER_AUD.
    Problem
    We want to build a generic report query that will work against any audit table.
    While constructing a report query for a class that uses inheritance, we see TopLink? add an extra where-clause.
    We are required to set the ReferenceClass? for the query, however, the tables we are querying are not mapped to TopLink?. We just want to map the query results to objects of the Reference Class.
    The extra where-clause specifies the table of the Reference Class, but since that table is not in the From clause, the query doesn't work.
    The ReportQuery? in Question
    public DatabaseQuery loadAuditHistory(Class cls, String audTableName ) {
    String emanAuditTableName = "eman_audit";
    ExpressionBuilder expressionBuilder = new ExpressionBuilder();
    Expression exp = expressionBuilder.getTable(audTableName)
    .getField("instance_id")
    .equal(expressionBuilder.getParameter("instanceId"))
    .and(expressionBuilder.getTable(audTableName).getField("audit_id")
    .equal(expressionBuilder.getTable(emanAuditTableName).getField("audit_id")));
    ReportQuery query = new ReportQuery(expressionBuilder);
    query.setReferenceClass(cls);
    query.setSelectionCriteria(exp);
    query.addArgument("instanceId");
    query.addAttribute("Changed By", expressionBuilder.getTable(emanAuditTableName).getField("audit_user"));
    query.addAttribute("Host", expressionBuilder.getTable(emanAuditTableName).getField("audit_host"));
    query.addAttribute("UTC Timestamp", expressionBuilder.getTable(emanAuditTableName).getField("audit_utc_timestamp"));
    query.addAttribute("Action", expressionBuilder.getTable(audTableName).getField("table_action_code"));
    Descriptor orderDescriptor = session.getDescriptor(cls);
    Vector mappings = orderDescriptor.getMappings();
    for (Iterator iter = mappings.iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
    Object element = (Object) iter.next();
    if (element instanceof DirectToFieldMapping) {
    DirectToFieldMapping mapping = (DirectToFieldMapping)element;
    DatabaseField field = mapping.getField();
    String tableName = field.getTableName();
    String fieldName = field.getName();
    query.addAttribute(fieldName, expressionBuilder.getTable(audTableName).getField(fieldName));
    Expression version = expressionBuilder.getTable(audTableName).getField("version_id");
    query.addOrdering(version.descending());
    query.setName(GET_AUDIT_HISTORY);
    return query;

    descriptor.addMapping(orderMapping);
    return descriptor;

    I'm am very confused as to what you are trying to do, are you trying to query Order objects from the ORDER_AUD historical table instead of the table that the class is mapped to?
    TopLink 10.1.3 (DP3) has built in support for historization, you may wish to investigate this support to allow historical querying of your audit tables.
    In general you cannot use a ReportQuery to do this, a ReportQuery is for querying data from objects based on an object-level criteria. I think that you want to query objects, but just using different SQL than the descriptors are mapped to.
    You could do this through a custom SQL read query,
    i.e.
    ReadAllQuery query = new ReadAllQuery(Order.class);
    query.setSQLString("Select * from ORDER_AUD where INSTANCE_ID = #id");
    query.addArgument("id");
    Vector argumentValues = new Vector(1);
    argumentValues.add(id);
    List objects = (List) session.executeQuery(query, argumentValues);
    As long as the field names in the audit and the original table matched this would work. However if this is a historical table, then I would guess that there might be multiple objects with the same id, so querying these historical objects could confuse the TopLink cache. You could set dontMaintainCache() on the query to avoid this.
    In general you would probably be much better off having two sessions, one with the descriptors mapped to the normal tables, and one with the descriptors mapped to the audit tables. Then you would be able to query both using regular object-level queries.

  • Report query with bind variable

    Trying to create a report query for xsl-fo print. For output format I pick "derive from item" then pick the item name from the list, on the next screen, I paste the query with the bind variable. on the next step test query, I always get "data not found" regardless what value I type in. This is the same query that I ran under sql commands without any issues.
    Does anyone run into the same issue as I have when attempted to create a query with bind var ? There is no problem creating a query without bind varibles. . thanks.
    Munshar

    Hi, please did you get any solution to this issue? I am having similar challenge right now.
    select     EMP.DEPTNO as DEPTNO,
         DEPT.DNAME as DNAME,
         EMP.EMPNO as EMPNO,
         EMP.ENAME as ENAME,
         EMP.JOB as JOB,
         EMP.MGR as MGR,
         EMP.HIREDATE as HIREDATE,
         EMP.SAL as SAL
    from     SCOTT.DEPT DEPT,
         SCOTT.EMP EMP
    where EMP.DEPTNO=DEPT.DEPTNO
    and      DEPT.DNAME =upper(:dname)
    This run perfectly in sql developer, toad, and even inside publisher if I login directly to publisher to create report.
    Generating this same query in shared component query builder and testing it returns no data found. If I remove the last line, it works. but with the last line, it return no data found. It seems no one has been able to provide solution to this issue

  • Passing Parameters to a report query

    I have built a report query, the query has 3 parameters.
    select * from EMP_DETAIL
    where
    emp=:EMPP
    and loc=:LOCP
    and seq=:SEQP
    When I test the query, enter the parameters manually, it renders and I get my report.
    When I add this layout to a standard on screen report region, I can not figure out how to pass the column values to those parameters.
    I'll try to explain. I have a report
    SELECT * FROM EMP
    The users can filter the report down, then when they find the emp they want, I have created a report link that is supposed to run the detail query and have the detail report come up in a PDF.
    So lets say they choose employee 0009, the columns have the :LOCP and the SEQP
    I want the report query for the PDF print to be filled in and the report rendered and printed. Like I said, I can test the report query/layout from the shared components section but I can not get the column values of say #EMP#,#LOC#,#SEQ# passed to the report.
    When I click the report, it appears to run forever. I do not know what is being passed to the report query.

    Starting to wonder if my question doesn't make sense.
    Does not seem to be something that hard.
    I have a APEX 3.0 stored report query and layout loaded via the shared components section. The stored report accepts 3 parameters.
    I have an employee report region (Select * from emp) and I have a derived link column that has a pretty picture in it. What I want to happen is when the users naturally migrate towards the bright colors on the screen in front of them and peck away at the mouse button, the values of the corresponding 3 columns are passed to the stored report and the report is ran and a PDF pops up and surprises the little buggers... sorry users that they actually managed to do something other than whine.
    Ideas, any takers?
    Maybe I will have to start a new thread with subject of
    "PLZ HELP MZ URGENT!!!!!! PLZ PLZ "
    or
    "ORACLE IS STUPIDO!!!"
    Those seems to get a lot of replies, some even helpful :)

    If you are CM07, this is NOT a simple how exactly do you detect that a computer is a VM? You can guess by looking at the manufacturer name but it is only a guess.

  • Collection query for specific SCCM client version - Parameters?

    Good morning,
    I need to upgrade my older clients as I recently upgraded SCCM to SP2.  I can't seem to find the parameters in query builder to populate a collection with a specific SCCM client version.  Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?  I can't find anything using "The Google".  You'd think lots of people would want this that there'd be a default query in SCCM already.  Thanks.

    Here is a query of all clients running sp1 version:
    select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SMS_ADVANCED_CLIENT_STATE on SMS_G_System_SMS_ADVANCED_CLIENT_STATE.ResourceId = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SMS_ADVANCED_CLIENT_STATE.Version = "4.0.6221.1000"

  • Access APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01 in an SQL query for a report

    APEX 4.0.2.00.07
    I've got a standard report with checkboxes. The SQL is along the lines of:
    SELECT APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,empno,'CHECKED') " ",
           ename,
           job
    FROM   empThen I have another report below this, which I want to drive based on the items checked in the first report. I know that the checkbox values will go into the APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01 collection. Normally these are accessed using pl/sql such as:
    FOR I in 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.COUNT LOOP
        DELETE FROM emp WHERE empno = to_number(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i));
    END LOOP;But is there any way I can access the collection from the sql for my second report.
    i.e. I want my sql to be something like:
    SELECT empno, day_of_service
    FROM   emp_timesheet
    WHERE emp_no in <get access to the collection here>I was hoping that the check box collection would be available from the APEX_COLLECTIONS view, but it doesn't seem to be there.
    Thanks,
    John

    John,
    If the goal is to hold onto the checked values for some other processing then you could add them to a collection yourself.
    create a process on your page which looks something like this:
    This will create your collection if it does not exist or delete everything currently in it if it does exist and then insert your new selections.
    DECLARE
       l_col_name varchar2(30) := 'EMP_SELECTED';
    BEGIN
        apex_collection.create_or_truncate_collection(l_col_name);
        FOR I in 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.COUNT LOOP
            apex_collection.add_member(
                l_col_name,
                to_number(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i))
        END LOOP;
    END;your second query could look something like this:
    SELECT empno, day_of_service
      FROM emp_timesheet
    WHERE empno in (select C001 empno
                       from apex_collections ac
                      where ac.collection_name = 'EMP_SELECTED')
    Edit
    some people choose to create a view ontop of certain collection queries which will be reapeated throughout the application so you could also just
    create view selected_emps as
    select C001 empno
      from apex_collections ac
    where ac.collection_name = 'EMP_SELECTED'   and your new query would look like:
    SELECT empno, day_of_service
      FROM emp_timesheet
    WHERE empno in (select empno
                       from selected_emps)Cheers,
