Column that is not bound to a view object on a treeTable

Hi,
Is there a way to have a column on a tree table, that does not correspond to the binding for any of the tiers/vo's involved? Here's my use case, I would like to have an action on the second tier of the tree table, and would like to put a button in a column that would only be displayed on the second tier, and not on all of the other levels of the treeTable. When I create a column, and put a button inside of it, the button is displayed for each row, including all parent nodes and child nodes. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi,
If you have a separate view object for the second level then you could try using an attribute that only exists in the second level to decide whether to display the button.
For example you can add a Boolean transient attribute in 2LevelVO called is2ndLevel with default value=true and select the attribute in the pageDefinition tree binding.
Then in your page you can use it in the rendered condition of the button:
rendered=#{node.is2ndLevel}If this does not fit your use case give us some more detail.
