Com.sun.javadoc pakage
whenI try to import the package "com.sun.javadoc" I got the following as a result:
package com.sun.javadoc does not exist
How can I use such a package? And how can I us the mehod "isclass()" from this package?
In your case, your correct classpath should be:
D:\Perl\bin;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\JDK1.3.1\BIN;c:\jdk1.3.1\lib\tools.jar;.
(This seems more a PATH than a CLASSPATH but...)

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

Description
There was a problem retrieving the WSDL from the typed transport service endpoint at the time of service registration

This is the the full stacktrace that shows eclipse.

Build error :package com.sun.javadoc does not exist
Question from a Turing machine expert who is new to Java.
Trying to run a sample program from Richardson's book "Java JDK 5 Edition" Chapter 1.
In Netbeans 5.5 receive build error :package com.sun.javadoc does not exist
for "import com.sun.javadoc.*;"
Believe missing classes are in tools.jar in C:\Sun\SDKee5SDK\jdk\lib
How do I define this to Netbeans and/or JDK?
Using java_ee_sdk-5_01
and netbeans-5_5-windows downloads.
Platform is XP.
Netbeans has been updated to date.

Compile Error for Import com.sun.javadoc.*;
I need to write some simple doclets and found some beginner code on the Sun website. The first line of the sample app is:
import com.sun.javadoc.*;However, I get a compile error:
C:\JavaDoc\Doclet\ListClass.java:1: package com.sun.javadoc does not exist
import com.sun.javadoc.*;I found the com.sun.javadoc package in the tools.jar file in the lib directory of my sdk. So I added the following to my classpath:
C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08\lib;Then I recompiled but received the same error. What have I done wrong? I'm on Windows XP.
TIA.> C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08\lib;

Why can't I import the com.sun.javadoc package?
I have JDK 1.6 but I don' think it's there...Any idea where I can find the com.sun.javadoc package?
com.sun.javadoc is not part of the normal JSE API.
It's part of some packages that come with the JDK that can be used to extend some JDK functionality.
It's delivered in tools.jar inside your JDKs lib directory. -
Cannot find JavaDoc for the com.sun.msv package

Need javadoc for com.sun.jndi.ldap.ctl.*?
Hi,
has anybody the javadoc for the above named package?
I need at first com.sun.jndi.ldap.ctl.SortKey.
It is needed to get a sorted search result from a LDAP server.
Thank you for your help.
FrediDownload the LDAP provider at
http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/#download
See the README-LDAP.txt in the bundle.
It says that the javadocs for the controls are
at doc/ldapcontrols. -

I'm using the api documentation at http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/javadocs/com/sun/mail/imap/IMAPFolder.html#doCommand as a starting point, I was able to run the IMAP NOOP example in the api documentation without any errors. Use of classes in com.sun.tools.doclets
Hello -- What is the best practice recommendation wrt using the classes in com.sun.tools.doclets -- particularly with the planned refactoring?
I'm writing a doclet that doesn't subclass, say, the standard doclet. There are obviously several very useful classes in this package (ClassTree, Util, MethodFinder, etc.) that I'd like to use. I can simply call their methods, but I'm curious to know if their active days are numbered.
Would it be better to simply incorporate the source? What are the restrictions on using the source in my own doclet?
If this is all covered somewhere (I've been hunting around a bit), please feel free to simply point me to the info.
Thanks!
SteveThe Java 2 SDK license (which covers javadoc) allows you to only
redistribute the code unmodified.
In 1.5.0, the refactoring has renamed all of the packages and
moved a lot of code around. We hope and plan to release
the refactored code on java.net around the time 1.5.0 is
released, and get an early access of it out. We'll notify
people who are on the javadoc-announce email address which
people can sign up as described at:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/javadoc/#forum
If you want more specific information now about how these will change,
please let me know and we can answer those questions.

Com.sun.j3d - not in API Specification
Where can i find the classes of this package?
What do you mean? It's all in the Java3D javadocs, which you can download from the same place as the sdk. I don't think there are any com.sun.j3d.* classes, they are all in .utils, .loaders or .javasound.

Com.sun.messaging API reference
Does somebody has a link to online com.sun.messaging API reference?
Once you downloaded the product, you have the javadoc in there. You can also have a version of the complete source from here:

NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/media/rtsp/protocol/OptionsMessage
Hi,
I am trying the project streamp2p (from sourceforge) to stream avi (cinepak) files over rtsp with jmf.
On the jmf.jar of the linux performance pack, the class com/sun/media/rtsp/protocol/OptionsMessage.class is not available.
I already tried a search on google (1 result, also reporting the same problem, without answer...) and tried also a search on this forum, with no results.
Does anybody knows something that can help ?
Thanks,
Hugo LavalleLike I told you in the other thread com.sun packages are not fully supported, technically the could be considered "betas" and are only included to aid developers. Because they are no supported no javadocs exist for them at this time. Like I said you are just going to have downlad the source code and do alot of poking around. From what I can tell, however, the com.sun.media.rtsp package intergrates seemlessly with JMF.

Com.sun.media.rtsp.RtspManager and JMF bundle
Following my first thread,
I'm looking for any code that uses[b] com.sun.media.rtsp.RtspManager that run sequence like DESCRIBE->SETUP>PLAY>PAUSE.
Is there a possible link beetwen RtspManager and Player/Processor well documented in JMF ?
I am looking for com.sun.media package JavaDoc too.
Thanks

I tried setting up a clean environment (server, EAR, web project), but haven't been able to re-solve the problem I had with the original project yet. If I could get a starting point to look for how to solve this type of error it would be greatly appreciated!I checked my JDK compliance (1.4) and the installed JREs (Standard VM; WebSphere v5.1 EE JRE; C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Studio\Application Developer\v5.1.2\runtimes\base_v51_stub\java\jre)
I did notice that it was using the JRE System LIbrary [WebSphere v5.1 JRE] and I changed it to the WebSphere v5.1 EE JRE like I think it should have been...
