Combine more than 24 pages from choose pages

Question

I have an issue with Acrobat X Pro and using the combine feature. When I open my current 1200 page pdf in the combine feature then "choose pages", I input my pages that I want.
Example;
15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 198, 200, 283, 292, 293, 294, 295, 296, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309
This results in only the first 24 criteria being combined, missing the remainder.
I then re-order the request to state ; 15-24, 149-161, 198, 200, 292-296, 302-309 then it works great, combining all my criteria.
This would normally be fine except that some of my criteria are not easily combined in this new shorter form ie; no consecutive number groups to shorten.
Is this a glitch with Acrobat x Pro or am I missing something?
Anyone who has an idea on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I select the first 24 page numbers then combine to binder 1, continuing throughout my full criteria, THEN combine each binder into final 1.
Long way around but until Adobe Acrobat fixes this issue, I see no other way around it. Possible to script?
