Comma seperated checkboxes - add comma AND a space

Comma seperated checkboxes has worked great for me, except for one thing. I want the values to be seperated by a comma AND a space, like so:
This is what I get now.
location1,location2,location3
What I'd like to get is:
location1, location2, location3
Is what I want possible? If so what's the easiest way to change it?

I'm running into another problem. Your solution for displaying the locations with spaces works great when querying a single record.
However, when I use in a repeat region, all records show the location of the first record. This problem is only present in a repeat region.
For the repeat region, I choose a recordset called feeds to repeat. Repeating elements inside are displayed as .
Now, $locations is in that recordet but $locations_with_spaces is not.
Is there a way to get $locations_with_spaces to repeat properly?

  • How to add comma and dollar sign that places automatically in input text field

    I have this ROI calculator which has several text input field
    on frame one with calculate and reset buttons. When a user enters
    numerical values in the text field, and jumping to the next field,
    I want the input text filed be updated with dollar sign and with
    comma.
    Next when they hit "ENTER" key or click "Calculate ROI"
    button, all the input text fields on frame 2 as a result of
    calculations be updated with dollar sign and comma. I also need
    that once the comma sign is assigned then it would not add any more
    even if user presses the button. Can someone help me in
    this?

    Use onKillFocus / onSetFocus Functions.
    to restrict multiple comma, Before Adding comma use

    myText.text.split(",").join("").split("$").join("");
    So this will give you the value without Comma and Dollar
    symbol, Now add the Comma and dollar.
    or you need to use a Flag for onChange Event.

  • Removing Commas and Spaces from Field

    I have a table called TableD1 in a database with a field called "Range".
    The ranges are like 1-1000; 1001-2000; etc. up to like 1000000-200000.
    That is how they are supposed to look, they are not numeric fields, just general, containing a low, a dash and a high all in the same field.
    I just discovered that quite a few of the entries have included commas and spaces, like 1-1,000 or 100000 - 200000.
    I need to write a Query that will remove all of the commas from the data in TableD1's "Range" field, then all of the spaces.
    I imagine they are some kind of Update statements but because of the potential to blow up the whole thing, I'm reluctant to experiment.
    Does anyone know what code I should use?

    Making sure you've taken a backup. Pull the data into temp table and do the testing. once you satisfied with the output then do the update on the main table.
    create table #temp
    Range varchar(100)
    insert into #temp values('1-1,000'),('100000 - 200000')
    select replace(replace(Range,',',''),' ','') from #temp
    --update #temp set Range=replace(replace(Range,',',''),' ','')
    Validate the the output of the select statement.

  • Formatting a number element with commas and decimals.

    I have a dataset with numbers.  I already set the column type to "number".
    I want to format the number data with commas and decimals.  I found a way to add decimals, but I'm still very confused how to do commas and to combine that with the decimal formatting.
    Also, how do I apply that to a repeat region in my spry region?

    I found this on one of the forum questions.
    Excel dont preserve the trailing zeros.
    try opening the xcel and type 5.0000 and tab out, it wont preserve the trailing zeros after decimal.
    try finding out how to disable the option in excel. if you do that, you will see what you send out from the report.
    But you can try to convert the number into a text by trying to append a space at the beginning. See if that would work.

  • Commit and rollback on session level

    Hi All,
    I am calling one stored procedure and I am doing some dml operation in that sp. there after I calling another sp which contain some ddl operations. if process may be fail in somewhere I wanted to rollback all dml transactions.
    So I wanted to commit and rollback on session level. Is such kind of concept available in oracle.

    Not sure what you are talking about.
    Commit and rollback is always on session level!!!!
    Also all DDL statements are automatically committed, and rollback in case of errors is always statement level rollback.
    So let's assume
    begin
    insert into foo...;
    update foo...;
    execute immediate 'alter table foo add (last_update date)';
    end;
    exit
    and the alter table fails:
    1 alter table is rolled back
    2 insert and updates are not rolled back.
    If the alter table succeeds
    all statements are committed and you can't roll them back anymore.
    This is why issuing DDL in stored procedures has unwanted side effects and should be conisdered pure evil.

  • Commit and Forms 6i (Urgent)

    I am having problems with the commit function on forms 6i, it keeps crashing my forms. I have a forms set up in which when the user enters the information and then presses the OK button. The code in this button is a simple insert statement followed by a commit and then a call to a new form. My problem is that it crashed more than it works. Does anyone know what might be casing this.

    Aparently you have some navigation problem, that has nothing to do with the insert statement.
    If you comment-out the new_form(your_form), will it still crash? I think not.
    What happens when you open your_form by itself (not using new_form(your_form))? If it does not crash, see what happens if you use open_form(your_form) instead.
    There has to be some offending trigger in one of your forms that confuses the runtime and throws it in deep space, where it can't find any item to navigate to. So, try to comment eliminate any suspicious triggers and see if that works.

  • Problem with comma and point

    Hello,
    I have a problem with comma and point in a double-digit.
    I use a english driver for HM8142. When I get the values then I only get
    int-digits. How can I change "Use comma as separator" . I tried to change
    the option in LabVIEW.
    I changed it, then I got the window. "To change, restart the programm". I
    have done this. But when I have a look at the option, it is not changed.
    What can I do?
    I am not the admin on the computer.

    Hi Martin,
    you do not have to change any system settings neither in LabVIEW nor in your windows.
    All instrument drivers should use a point as decimal separator. You can overwrite the decimal point handling in the string functions "Scan from string" and "Format into string".
    Make a right click on the function and use "Edit Scan String". In the dialog open the ring under "Selected operation", the last entry allows you to set the character for the decimal separator. This separator will be used for all the following floating point numbers.
    From your name and problem I think you are located in central europe. I do not have a german version of LV so I cannot tell you how the elements are named in german.

  • Is it possible to trap the user's COMMIT and do something?

    I need to do some actions when a user (actually a program that I can't access) performs COMMIT and close the session.
    My functionality is activated from triggers. I keep many variable in package. Before a session ends I need to do some final steps using package variables.
    I use Pl/SQL in Oracle 7.3
    Does somebody know any way to perform that?

              Well I moved away from the idea of using bean managed transaction. I'll
              be using Container Managed Transactions. To modify the
              transactionalbehaviour I'll write proxymethods which have certain
              different containermanaged transaction properties, but which all call
              the same private methods.
              But it works! Here is my experience:
              - I was doing a DDL statement: I was trying to create new Tables, which
              is a definite "no-go"
              - pay careful attention to:

              and use these Settings for the Pool, don't ask me why, but it took me
              hours to find it out by myself:

              the same transaction). Have one test do clean writes, and another which
              causes some SQL-Exception (too long Data Columns, or likewise).
              Always count the entries and see if everything worked out. We're using
              this SetupConstruction to test new combinations of AS(sorry Priscilla) /
              Database / Db-Drivers to have a "standard test".
              I know my two cents were uncalled for, but it might save you some
              time.....

              Looks like you have not actually begun a transaction by calling
              UserTransaction.begin(),
              so your setupTables method is really executing with no transaction

  • Interchange between Comma and point in J2I6

    I am facing a problem in print of excise register (T code J2I6 ). In print preview of both RG23A part II and RG23C part II registers, there is interchange between comma and points i.e for amount fifteen thousand 15.000,00 is displaying instead of 15,000.00.
    I have checked the user setting and default format is correct. it is X 1,234,567.89.
    Please tell how can i make it correct.

  • COMMIT WORK: Timing of DB commit and update modules

    Hi all,
    Does anyone know categorically the order of starting the asynchronous update modules (CALL FUNCTION ... IN UPDATE TASK) and the database commit, when a COMMIT WORK is done?
    Does COMMIT WORK:
    - Do PERFORM ... ON COMMIT
    - Start asynchronous update processing
    - Do database commit
    Or does it:
    - Do PERFORM ... ON COMMIT
    - Do database commit
    - Start asynchronous update processing
    My reason for asking is some code (not written by me!) that essentially raises CREATED workflow events in the update task, but performs the corresponding database inserts in the current work process.
    It looks like we are getting the situation that sometimes the table entries do not exist when the update modules exist, which in turn suggests to me that perhaps the asynchronous update modules are started just before the database commit that is done when a COMMIT WORK statement is executed.

    Before the update module execution.  Here's some code to highlight and let's assume it runs in a dialog process. And to everyone else, yes, I know this is a poor way to implement updates!

      IN UPDATE TASK
      EXPORTING
        objtype = 'ZMYOBJECT'
        objkey  =  lv_myobject-key
        event   = 'CREATED'.
    COMMIT WORK.
    So I meant to ask the question of whether we could guarantee that the new record in table ZMYOBJECT would be committed to the database <i>before</i> the update module was executed. It really is a theoretical question though it did not begin as one.
    I do not believe the answer to this problem can be determined by debugging, because given that these two steps occur so close in time to one another, by the time the update module appeared in the debugger, it would be unrealistic to expect that the DB insert performed in the dialog process had not been committed yet.
    I might be wrong, but I really don't think you're going to find ABAP logic embedded in SAPMSSY0 or elsewhere that invokes the update modules or performs a DB commit. Rather, it is my suspicion that the COMMIT WORK statement works like this:
    - Drop into the kernel
    - Does a callback to SAPMSSY0 to execute form %_BEFORE_COMMIT to raise a static OO event
    - Does a callback to SAPMSSY0 to execute form %_COMMIT and thereby process any PERFORM ... ON COMMIT
    - Does a database commit
    - Does a callback to SAPMSSY0 to execute form %_AFTER_COMMIT to raise another static OO event
    Further, I believe that it is the database commit that now makes the queued CALL FUNCTION ... IN UPDATE TASK now visible in VBLOG to other processes.
    Lastly, and this is of course wild speculation, I suspect that it is an update process running somewhere else that detects the new entries in VBLOG and grabs them for processing.
    So, I'm kind of changing my position from earlier to state that I believe the COMMIT WORK statement does not directly trigger the update modules at all, rather it just does the database commit and this makes visible the pending update modules to the dispatcher / update work processes which probably grab the update LUW's on a first come first served basis.
    At least, that is how I would design it :-).

    No it's not a bug, Oracle will treat "datab" as alias to "dataa" if comma left out.
    Doesn't your view has two columns id and datab, but datab column showing dataa data?

  • Comma and quote problem in csv file

    My requirement is to append data in an csv file. This is Proxy to File FCC Scenario. for some of the fields from proxy which contains comma(,) and also double-quote("). for these fileds the in the csv file it is spiting in to two columns and appending in to the next column. and the double-quote symbol is not inserting in the csv file.
    1. why the double-quote(") is not inserting in to the csv file columns?
    2. how to over come the comma problem? I want that particular file need to append in one column only.

    wheneever there is a comma in field, it is updating data after comma into next field.
