COMMAND TO EXECUTE SCRIPT GENERATED BY OWB TO EXPORT METADATA

Sorry but I'm trying to execute the script to export metadata to OLAP like is descripbed in the Oracle Warehouse Builder User's Guide, but it doesn't function it give the usege:
TARGET is the schema where is data:
sqlplus OLAPDBA/[email protected] TARGET
Usage: SQLPLUS [ [<option>] [<logon>] [<start>] ]
where <option> ::= -H | -V | [ [-C <v>] [-L] [-M <o>] [-R <n>] [-S] ]
<logon> ::= <username>[<password>][@<connect_identifier>] | / | /NOLOG
<start> ::= @<URL>|<filename>[.<ext>] [<parameter> ...]
"-H" displays the SQL*Plus version banner and usage syntax
"-V" displays the SQL*Plus version banner
"-C" sets SQL*Plus compatibility version <v>
"-L" attempts log on just once
"-M <o>" uses HTML markup options <o>
"-R <n>" uses restricted mode <n>
"-S" uses silent mode
Thanks in advance.

Simth,
Since you use the OWB framework, you would deploy the generated script using the deployment manager and then you can execute using the deployment manager also.
Please refer to the quick guide:
http://otn.oracle.com/products/warehouse/pdf/92QuickStartGuide.pdf
You also may want to check out the deployment and execution section of the user's guide:
http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/warehouse.html
Thanks,
Mark.

  • Error in SQL script  generated from OWB 10.1.0.4.0 Metadata Export Bridge

    Hi... maybe i´m abusing this forum .. but .. when you have questions .. you have to look for answers
    I use OWB 10.1.0.4 to buid some dimensions and one cube. I validate and generate this object and the result was successful.
    I made the deployment and everithing goes OK !!!.
    The problem appears when i want to generate metadata over this objects. I use the option Project > Metadata > Export > Gridge and use the option "Oracle 9i OLAP" like the product where i want to transfer the metadata .. and i got the SQL script without any errors. I suppose that i take the sql script i run it into SQL*plus ... so i do it.. and i got this errors:
    declare
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-06501: PL/SQL: program error
    ORA-06512: at line 119
    ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
    The same error for any dimension in script..
    Any help .. will be fully valued for me ..
    best regards
    Lisandro.

    But how did you identify that there are no runtime records in all_rt_audit_executions for your PL/SQL procedure?
    I guess you tried to search by procedure name... (but what column you used for searching)
    In my case all_rt_audit_executions and wb_rtv_audit_executions contains the same number of records, so they should be always in sync.

  • Command to Run Script from File

    Hi,
    I have 20 .sql Files, each one has CREATE script for stored peocedures. I want to run the script for each SP of the file in the database. Instead of copy and paste from each file, is there any command to execute script from each file.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    You can place that sql script either in drives.
    IF suppose you placed your scripts file in D:\,
    connect to database thru sqlplus and run like this
    SQL>@"D:\sqlstatement.sql"

  • Error: Executing OWB Scripts Outside the OWB Tool

    We aim to extract OWB scripts (ddls, pl/sql, etc) and run them outside of the OWB tool in Beta and Production.
    Thus far, we’re able to execute ddls and compile OWB generated pl/sql procedures. We’re encountering errors on all attempts to execute the pl/sql code outside of OWB.
    Package created.
    Package body created.
    SQL> execute RECORDED_MEDIA_MAP;
    BEGIN RECORDED_MEDIA_MAP; END;
    ERROR at line 1:

    PLS-00221: 'RECORDED_MEDIA_MAP' is not a procedure or is undefined
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    Based on previous discussions with Oracle Sales Rep., we were under the impression that this could be done.
    Can OWB generated pl/sql execute outside of the tool? If so, what are the steps?
    Thanks,
    Carol-Ann

    OWB generates mapping as package of procedures. This package has the only external procedure/function (depend on OWB version: 9.2.0.4 - function, prev. releases - procedure).
    So, mapping that you have deployed could be executed by the following code (as for 9.2.0.4 version of OWB):
    DECLARE
    l_res NUMBER;
    l_env WB_RT_MAPAUDIT.WB_RT_NAME_VALUES;
    BEGIN
    l_res := MAP_PACKAGE.MAIN(l_env);
    END;

  • Command to execute the jheadstart application generator ?

    Hi,
    I would like to use Ant scripts to call a command to execute the jheadstart application generator. Just Wonder what is the command and parameters to do so.
    Our project has multiple app defs, It may be useful to re-generate them all at some times.
    Thanks,

    Is it possible to run a java command to generate outside of Jdeveloper? There must be a java class to do the gen, I guess the question is if the gen relies on any of the jdeveloper design time objects.
    It will be very helpful to integrate the generation in the build process. Our project is 100% jheadstart generatable (with a lot of customization templates) and includes about 10 application definition files.
    Thanks,

  • Execute script from AfterFX command line

    Hello all
    I'm trying to run a script from the AfterFX.exe command line and I get a message: "Unable to execute script at line 1. Syntax error"
    If I run the same script file from the AE Script Editor, it works perfectly
    Here is the command line I'm using:
    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -noui -s "D:\Product\Watermark\Rendering\WatermarkedSecuritySample.jsx"
    Anyone have an idea of what can cause this error? I've tried running the script directly in the command line like
    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -noui -s "alert('1')"
    and it works fine for short script but mine is way to big to do that
    As you can probably guess with the "Watermark" and "Security" in the filename, I cannot post the script file here, all I can say is that the line 1 is:
    var projectName = "D:\\Product\\WatermarkTemplate.aep";
    I've tried to replace the entire script with "alert('1');" and it cause the same error when running it from the command line
    Also, if anyone know where I can find the AfterFX.exe command line arguments description, I would be very happy.. everybody talks about aerender.exe but I need thoses options for AfterFX.exe
    Thanks for your help

    Have you tried to use "-r" instead of "-s"?
    (argument for "-s" is a script; and argument for "-r" is a path to script)

  • Executing script command in Screen

    I'm having a problem with a script I wrote for my Minecraft server. The script is written to dynamically update a configuration file on one of my plugins, then reload the plugin after the file change. My minecraft server console is running in a screen instance, so the script line I use is
    screen -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff "[minecraft command]"\015'
    This line works flawlessly when I execute it from my shell, but it won't run from my script. Is there a problem with the way the command has been added to my script,. or is there some screen configuration that I need to do in order for it to accept commands from a script?

    I've been having similar problems with an opensim server and screen, and here's what I found:
    terminate the server command with "^M" (ctrl-V ctrl-M to get the character).. I'm also not so sure you need eval (see below):
    screen -S minecraft -X stuff "[minecraft command]^M"
    The other thing I've noted is that if I start the server at boottime, the commands don't get to the server until I've attached and detached the screen session once. (I don't have to do anything once I attach, just attach and detach and my scripts start working).
    Re eval: I found a more reliable way to get information back from the server was to temporarily enable screen logging to a temp file, and parse the log file.

  • Executing a menu command from a script

    Hi,
    I'm still not very familiar with the PS CS4 object model and I'm wondering whether I can trigger the execution of a menu command from a script.
    My purpose is to fix the CS4 issue with some plugins that have a bug causing some elements of the PS CS4 interface (like the Arrange Documents drop down menu) to appear blank when hovered with the mouse. This problem usually disappears when launching these plugins. For example, you'll have the problem when installing Nik Software's Silver Efex (they promised to fix this in February but we're still waiting). Launching "File | Automate | Nik Selective Tool" and then closing the dialog fixes the issue... until you re-launch PS.
    So I want to do that automatically when PS starts. I tried with an action which I attached to the startup event but the action is not launched (probably because the plugin is not active yet). So I tried the scripting way but I don't see how I can launch a menu command automatically.
    Thanks in advance.
    Patrick

    Most events that I have used run the script after the event but I'm not sure about the startup event order either.
    You might try add the creation of a new doc to your action. Then after the nik step close the doc without saving. That may force Photoshop to wait until the plugin loads before running the action.
    Another thing you could try is create an script that calls your action. Something like
    doAction( 'run Nik', 'startup actions' );// action name, action set. I don't think that will help but its simple and might work.
    If that doesn't work then I can help you with a script that you can attach to a different event. It check to see if it's been run before and if not run your action. You could attach the script to all events to make sure it gets run soon after startup.

  • Call an ABAP program or a function module from command prompt/python script

    Dear All,
    I want to call a function module/ABAP program from command prompt or a python script.
    Let me explain with an example.
    There is a function module "z_add" that takes  two integers as input parameters and generates their sum.
    the sum is the output parameter.
    Now i want to call this function module from command prompt / python script and pass parameters to this function module.
    In return i must get the sum(i.e. the output of function module).
    I tried using STARTRFC ,was able to call the FM but could not get the return value(output) from FM.
    Can you please provide me the code of such a function module and the method to call it thereby passing parameters and getting the sum.
    Thanks and regards,
    Gaurav

          CONDENSE out_par-value.
          MODIFY out_par INDEX 1.

  • Confusion over DBCA script generated for manual RAC DB creation

    Version:11.2.0.4/RHEL 6.3
    We would like to create our 3-node RAC DB manually.  DBCA cannot meet our requirement because our redo log files, datafiles, tempfiles and control files are placed in a complicated manner . If we use DBCA , we will have to spend a lot of time configuring to our requirements after the DB creation.
    I generated the DB creation scripts from DBCA (DB Name = BRCFPRD )
    DBCA placed the db creation scripts in the specified directory in all the 3 nodes !!
    They all have almost the same contents . The only difference being the instance name (BRCFPRD12.sql for Node2, ... etc).
    Scripts in each node have the createDB.sql statement which has CREATE DATABASE "BRCFPRD" statement. Why is this ? The database need to be created only from one node. Then why did DBCA place createDB.sql in all nodes ?
    I just want to run the script from just one node , say Node1 and it should create the 3-Node RAC DB. How can I do this manually?

  • How to get name of executed script in InDesign

    Hi,
    Is there any possibility to get the name of executed script within the InDesign CS6 application.
    For example, I am running five different scripts at different intervals. Each time I run the script, its name must be displayed or saved in a text file.
    Can I get any help or suggestion on achieving this.
    Thanks,
    Gopal

    Thanks Ariel.
    This command would give file name along with the path.  My requirement is, I need to get the names of all scripts that are run on particular InDesign file.
    Just like, using actionEvent to capture all script name which was run on the indesign file.  Is this possible?
    Thanks,
    Gopal

  • Giving Password to a ssh command in a script

    Hi
      I wanna know how to give password to a ssh command in a script... that is my command iniside script is
    q=`ssh 172.16.1.2 /usr/sbin/alternatives --config java </root/Desktop/2.txt 2>&1 | grep jdk1.6.0_05`
    when i execute the script file and when this commands get executed it prompts for passord.. i dont want the script to wait for password from the terminal
    i have also obtained the password as follows
    #! /bin/sh
    read ip
    echo $ip
    oldmodes=`stty -g`
    stty -echo
    read password
    stty $oldmodes
    i want to give this password which i obtained to the command so that it doesnt wait for a password at a terminal

    I suggest you use ssh-keys without a password for this purpose:
    http://www.linuxhelp.net/guides/ssh/
    --> no need for a password.

  • 'Get Response' APDU command in a script for apdutool

    Dear all,
    I'm facing some problems with apdutool (javacard 2.2.2 distribution) in executing the 'Get Response' command.
    In fact its syntax differs from the one specified for other APDU commands accepted by apdutool, as Lc is replaced by the expected response lenght, i.e. by Le.
    I tried inserting a fake P3 (Lc), but I always get ParseException errors.
    All previous commands in the script are properly executed, including the one for which the subsequent 'Get Response' is tried. In particular, the SW2 byte returned by the latter command contains the right expected length.
    I'm working with T0 algorithm and non-extended mode is specified in the APDU script.
    Thank you very much to anyone who could help.
    Best regards
    Marco

    Hi,
    You could ensure that both of the text fields are not empty on your 'dashboard' before executing the FS00 tcode. This would negate the popup from ever appearing.
    To do this you can use the "IF <text field control ID> Is Empty" statement in your script and then output a custom error message to another text box if the condition is true. then use an "IF <text field control ID> Is NOT Empty" statement to copy the value/s execute the FS00 tcode if the condition is true.
    Now if you're going to check multiple fields for entries before executing the FS00 you'll have to get a little more creative and do something like I did in one my scripts (thanks again to Steve Rumsby for the tips) and create a 'check field' where you can enter values for items checked successfully and then use a little bit of javascript to count up the checks and check the result before executing the next part of the script.
    Another idea is to check for the existence of the popup and navigate past it in your script, to do this you can use the "IF <control ID> control exists" statement.
    Either one should work.
