hello to all! i am new to labview and i'am trying to solve a labview exercise
''compare 2 arrays 1d 1x10 (the values of them are lucky numbers from 1 to 10) .compare them and create a new array [1,10] that saves the same values in the corresponding places ,while in the remainder places where the elements of 2 tables are different show 0''

In this time of project i have stuck at the comparison of values of two array.and how i would achive creating the Array3! I have search the forum about founding any answer.Any ideas?

I am guessing that since this is a labview exercise it is meant as a learning experience. There are several ways to solve this problem, I have shown one way below. I suggest that you try and come up with other ways on your own. Feel free to ask any questions.

When I download movies from iTunes to my NAS drive, I don't get the cover art. It shows up while its downloading, but when it's finish it disappears. If it has an iTunes extra the cover art is there. I tried get info and add the cover art, it never shows. Regardless of how I add it. Funny thing is, if I download the same movie to my external firewire drive, no problem its there. I've called Apple with no success. I've even tried copying the movie with the art from the firewire drive to replace the file on then NAS drive I still loose the movie cover art. I also tried several times to re download it, no luck. Any ideas? I'm out of ideas.

Do you have any videos/movies in the video app?
In iTunes if you right click on the video and select Get Info and go to the Option tap what Media Type is shown?

Reset PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405 and then try a normal boot.
Run the Startup Manager to select Startup disk: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1310
If those did not work your disk may be sick or dying. The top priority at this point is to make a backup copy of your data.
Check the health of the disk. Boot in Recovery Mode (Boot, Command-R). Run Disk Utility. Click on the upper left disk icon. Does the S.M.A.R.T. status say “Verified”? If not the disk/SSD is unhealthy and needs to be replaced. Even if it does not show “Verified” you can still attempt a backup.
Click on the icon indented below, usually called “Macintosh HD” and Verify Disk. If it finishes with a green “OK” message then all is well with the disk. If it shows errors in red then you have found a problem to address once the system is backed up. Do not attempt software repairs until you have secured the data.
If the disk will not show up at all in Disk Utility as your ran the tests above then it may be dead or it may have a bad internal SATA cable. A trip to an Apple store for confirmation would be in order.
If you have an external disk drive you can use as a backup drive then do so. If not Google “Hitachi USB 3.0 external hard drive 1TB” to purchase one or go to a brick-and-mortar store (including an Apple store) to pickup one. Any 1 TB external drive will do.
Assuming it is still breathing you can try to recover the data without booting from the sick disk.
Reformat the external disk. (This will erase all data on the external disk.)
Boot in Recovery Mode. Start Disk Utility. Plug in the new disk. Select it’s disk Icon (the second one down, left justified). Select the Partition tab.
Partition Layout > Single Partition
Name: Emergency Recovery 1 (or whatever name you wish to use)
Format: Mac OS Extended (journaled)
Options… > GUID Partition Table > OK
Apply
Select the Restore tab.
Drag the old system volume (Macintosh HD) to Source.
Drag the new disk volume (Emergency Recovery 1) to Destination.
Click on Restore.
It may take a long time for the backup.
If that will not complete post back for other emergency data recovery methods, including those from a brody.
If the backup succeeds, use the First Aid tab in Disk Utility to select the old volume (Macintosh HD) and Repair Disk. If it does not finish with a green OK message try to repair it once or twice more. If it repairs with a green OK message, will it boot normally? If not, boot from the Recovery Partition and reinstall OS X.
If it is still not healthy, post back for further instructions.

I want to create a form that as you add the numbers it adds the data from different fields...

I would like to create a form similar to a shopping bag where you can enter amount and unit price and it would grab the multiplied total, then it would add the sum of all in a totals section...

Sorry FormsCentral doesn't support calculations on online forms. You could achieve something like that with a PDF form (with the logic you need in it) and then import this PDF in FormsCentral.
If you use the PayPal integration with the online form then paypal will show the total.

UWL - I want to add the column "item type" in the UWL XML config file

Hi,
when personalizing a view in the default UWL iView, a user can add the column "Item Type", which shows the icon of the corresponding item.
I want to add this column to a default view configuration in the XML file, so that all users have this column available by default. I guess the right attribute to do so would be the "columnOrder" attribute of a view. I tried to add the value itemType and objectType, but none of this worked, the column did not appear.

I found some attributes and I tried statusIcon, externalId and externalType. statusIcon does not show the item type icons and the other two don't work at all. The table shows that they have the attribute "Visible to user = NO".
Does anybody know the correct value which I have to add to the columnOrder attribute or how I have to configure the XML file?

I found it myself, it's the attribute "itemTypeIcon" which has to be added to the columnOrder attribute.

Add the new Service Catalog Columns

Requirement: To add the new service catalog columns because of the new patient classes.
I have added the new service catalog columns. Price revision for all the services with the new time interval.
Service - xxxx has two intervals
1st Jan 2000 to 31st dec 2004 (10 columns prices maintained)
1st Jan 2005 to 31st dec 9999 (20 columns prices maintained)
from NT03 => I can see only the last time interval. It is a bug or the feature of SAP if the columns are different it shows the last time interval.
During the service upload, it doesn't enhance or adjust the service master columns for the first interval.
My customized solution is to edit the first interval and save it in the program, then it will adjust the columns.
1st Jan 2000 to 31st dec 2004 (20 columns prices maintained)
1st Jan 2005 to 31st dec 9999 (20 columns prices maintained)
My question are
1) Does SAP has any standard mechanism to auto adjust the columns for the previous intervals
2) Is it a standard or a bug that SAP shows last interval if the intervals has different columns.
3) When you add the new service catalog columns. Should the start date can be back dates to the original column start date or it should be the cutover date.

Please look at the content of the field Valid from. Depending on the date you choose the correct interval should be displayed.

Someone shows the method to use AppleScript/ Automator to make Photos add the same description to multiple photos. I just opened up AppleScript editor and poked around the Dictionary for Photos and saw we have access to GPS longitude,latitude and altitude. So by using a third party app/web page to get those values, an Apple Script could be used to batch add the info to selected photos. That being said, I'm really busy these days and lack time to write scripts and migrate to photos.

Is it possible to store a multiple indexes for the same value extractor?

I ran into a situation where there were different queries that I was interested in doing that might have benefitted from having several indexes, sorted differently, but for the same ValueExtractor() instance.
Is this good practice, is it recommended, and is there a clean way to do it? It seemed like the only way I could logically "trick" the system into it would be passing some sort of "query type" constant into the ValueExtractor when it was created, and then making the equals and hashCode() methods on the ValueExtractor delegate to the constant for equality, but this seemed like a massive hack.

First, try without each value extractor and see how the different queries compare in performance. You may find that you need only one. If you find otherwise, please let us know because it may indicate a good area for additional optimizations.
Second, you are correct that the value extractor is the key of the index, and thus to have two indexes on the same value, you will need two different value extractors (i.e. the hashcode/equals comment you made.)

Add and remove items by comparing 2 arrays

I have two arrays of objects. Each object has a unique name property besides few others. One of the array is a local copy and the other one is sent from server after regular intervals. The local copy of arrays is then used to add a movieclips into a container.
Now, I want that when I receive an array from the server, I compare it with the one which is already with me locally such that the items which were not in the received array but were there in the local array, get removed from the container and the newly added ones only get added. The items which were present in both local and remote array remain as it is. how can i do this?

I may be missing something, but it doesn't sound like you need to compare anything, you just need to replace the local array with the newly received one.
local array = 1,2,3,4,5
new array 3,4,5,6,7
Based on what you described you would get rid of 1 and 2 and use 3,4,5. I am assuming you would use the new ones that came from the server, so you essentially end up using 3,4,5,6,7
So you should just need to go thru the new array and if something in the container is not in the new array then remove it.

For example, in all my file names are for pictures that are uploaded to a host site, but the name in the cell does not include the URL associated with it. Does anyone know how to be able to add text to a whole column in front of the current text already in that column?

Assume the filenames are in column C.
Let's says you want to add the text before each file name "http://www.apple.com/"
add a new column (let's say D) and add the formula:
D1="http://www.apple.com/"&C
this is shorthand for... in cell D1 type (or paste from here) the text ""http://www.apple.com/"&C" without the first and last double quotes
select D1, copy
select the column D by clicking the letter D at the top of the column, paste
The "&" is called the concatenate operator and joins two strings together

Parent Account Value don't add the children value with a formula

I have assigned at these children accounts the parent.
I have this problem:
In the report the value of the parent don't add the value of the children that have the formula but add the children without the formula.
why?

Hi Michele,
The same problem have been faced by lot of people. And I would suggest you to write a formula manually for the parent member as well.
Lets take an example. P1 is parent of C1 and C2. C2 has the below formula
A1 + A2.
Then,
for P1 write the formula as
C1 + A1 + A2.
Note that I am not refering to C2 in the formula; since it has its own formula.
The above is one alternative of doing this. However, before that, let me understand the version of BPC you are using, SP and the version of SQL?

so do I need to loop twice ? like

ok guys, thanks for your reply, but I need one more hint, ( i know we need two loops but the problem is:
in backend for particular tilte user can oder 10 qty e.g.....now in application he can place 12 positions in one time, so if for particular title he place oder with 10 qty and later again he place the same title with qty 10, I need to show him the msg that , haay user for this title you can place max 10 qty.....
so I have a node where actaully 1000 title and qty are: and I have 2nd node which is a table node ( where actually user gives the title and its qty )....
So right now I loop over the table node to see if user have same title twice or more, once I have this, I try to store these title in collection or arraylist...and then loop with this aary list with the original node to compare the qty.....
just a question....a node is a collection ? can instead of using arrylist I can use the node as a collectino ?

How do i add the same mouselistener to many different instantiated objects?

This is for a card game.
The deck class instantiates 52 cards from the card class.
The game has a deck of cards. I am dealing each player their cards, the player is to be dealt 8 cards each of which should have a mouselistener.
How do I add the same mouselistener to each of the cards dealt.
This is how I have it so far but it only adds a mouselistener to the last card dealt.

Yeh I have 52 card object in the deck. Theyre not individually named, they were instantiated in the deck class.
standardDeck.add(new Card(a, b, new ImageIcon(str), cardBack)); //creating and then adding the cards
So i draw one card at a time, and I had a mouselistener to that particular card. But the thing is, When the cards are clicked, some checking happens and if the move is legal, the card is added back into the deck and its mouselistener should be removed. This is because that card could then be added to the computers hand, and I dont want no player using the computer players cards.
The game deals the cards to players, players use the cards and then send them to the bottom of the deck, the deck is shuffled and then the game continues until a condition is met by either of the players.
So i dont understand how a loop solution would work here. My mind is blank at the moment, maybe im not understanding properly. I am new to java. So if you do know the answer, please tell it to me. Please dont wait for a lightbulb to appear above my head. ;)
