Compiling c/c++ code with accessBridge api

Hi,
I have downloaded accessBridge 1.0.4 and followed the instruction, I was able to run its examples javaFerret & javaMonkey with no problems. Now I want to make use of accessBridge api in my program. Can someone please guide me how to do this. I think I have to link with WindowsAccessBridge.dll and include accessbridgecalls.h file & need to compile accessbridgecalls.c, but I am getting compiler errors as I am trying to compile this in c++ project (vc++).
Can someone help me.
Thanks,
Ram

Infact I dont have AccessBridgeCalls.c file, I searched in the net but couldnt locate anywhere. In the documentation it was mentioned that AcessBridgeCalls.c file need to be compiled and linked with WindowsAccessBridge.dll to use Access Bridge api in the code such as initializeAccessBridge, IsJavaWindow, etc.,
Does anyone know where to get AccessBridgeCalls.c file in the net..
Thanks,
Ram

  • Getting an strange error in "PluginPrefix.pch" while compiling a plugin code with InDesign CS4 SDK.

    Hi everybody,
    Currently trying to compile/build the existing Plugin code (C++) with InDesign CS4 SDK on my Mac OS X 10.5 machine but getting following strange errors.
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:26:27: error: MemoryStatics.h: No such file or directory
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:39:30: error: PluginBuildFlags.h: No such file or directory
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:40:28: error: AnsiBasedTypes.h: No such file or directory
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:41:26: error: ShukHeaders.cp: No such file or directory
    Though above mentioned files are present at the following directory
    /Volumes/../../../Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/common/
    Note : However initially I did not find “MemoryStatics.h” and “AnsiBasedTypes.h” files in the installed SDK directory. I have downloaded them from the net and copied those into the above mentioned directory.
    I am not much familiar with Mac OS environment and compiling/building C++ code with Xcode. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue (might be very trivial and related to Xcode project configuration) ?

    Thanks for the quick response,
    Yes, current build settings include path shortcuts as mentioned below and it also contains “$(CS_SDK_PATH)/source/public/includes” path in HEADER_SEARCH_PATHS settings.  But still I am getting the same error: MemoryStatics.h: No such file or directory
    CS_SDK_PATH= /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK
    CS_SDK_PRJ_PATH=/Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/InBetweenDev/Projects/InBetweenCS/IBClientPluginCS3/prjCS4/mac
    Just for clarification : my Plugin code /project files are not inside the InDesign SDK (build/mac/prj). All the plugin project is outside of the InDesign SDK directory. Thus above mentioned CS_SDK_PATH and CS_SDK_PRJ_PATH are completely different.
    Is it expected that the plugin code/project files should be inside the InDesign SDK/build/mac/prj  directory only ? or is it okay if we put it in the completely another directory structure and modify the  SDK_PRJ_PATH accordingly (as in my case) ?
    Please let me know if you want me to elaborate the situation further.

  • Studio 12: C compiler generates bad code with -m64 -KPIC -xO2

    Hello,
    after upgrading my Solaris 10/x64 machine from Studio 11 to Studio 12 some problems were fixed, but others came up; like this one:
    I have a code snippet that obviously causes the C compiler to generate wrong code if compiled with options -m64 -KPIC -xO2. If any of these options are missing, it runs fine. Here's the example code:
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <strings.h>
    static int do_something() { return 0; }
    static int foo() {
        fprintf(stderr, "\n!! BUG: BAD CODE! unexpected function call foo()!\n\n");
        return 222;
    static int bar() {
        fprintf(stdout, "\nOK: bar() called\n\n");
        return 0;
    static const struct {
        const char* name;
        int (*func)();
        int flag;
    } tab[] = {
        { "foo",  &foo,  0 },
        { "bar",  &bar,  0 },
        { 0, 0, 0 }
    int main(int argc, const char** argv) {
        int i;
        for (i=0; tab.name; i++) {
    if( strcmp(tab[i].name, "bar") == 0 ) {
    if(tab[i].flag) {   /* not reached */
    if(!do_something()) {
    return 2;
    return (*tab[i].func)();
    return 1; /* not reached */
    Many lines seem to be bogus, but they are actually needed to reproduce the problem.
    This is what happens:# cc -m64 -KPIC -xO2 bug.c && ./a.out ; echo $?
    !! BUG: BAD CODE! unexpected function call foo()!
    222
    If I compile with debugging information (-g), I get expected behavior, which is:# cc -m64 -KPIC -g bug.c && ./a.out ; echo $?
    OK: bar() called
    0
    While creating the test case I've also seen SIGSEGV at runtime in the bug case - which is probably due to a wrong calculated function address for jmp (just guessing).
    Does anyone know if this is a known bug?
    Any help is appreciated.

  • How to set a reason for locked account throught source code with the API

    Hi all,
    I need to set the lock reason of an user account. When we lock a user account at identity management, the system shows us a text edit and keep that lock reason on the account data tab. I need to simulate that, anybody could help me with this?
    Slds,
    MC

    Hi Mariana,
    you can use the below code snippet to lock and maintain the lock reason.
                  IUserAccountFactory uaFactory= UMFactory.getUserAccountFactory();
                  IUserAccount userAccount=uaFactory.getUserAccountByLogonId("user_hr");
                  IUserAccount mutableUserAccount=uaFactory.getMutableUserAccount(userAccount.getUniqueID());
                  mutableUserAccount.setLocked(true,IUserAccount.LOCKED_BY_ADMIN);
                  mutableUserAccount.commit();
    Thanks

  • Code overrides deprecated API...recompile with

    Hi,
    Need help compiling SampleProgram(see code below).
    (using JDK 1.3.1_06. and JCreator 2.5 build 8)
    The following code(see below) compiles with an error:
    "Note: C:\Documents and Settings\Alex1\My
    Documents\Alex Files\My Java\Lesson
    2\SampleProgram.java uses or overrides a deprecated
    API.
    Note: Recompile with -deprecation for details.
    Process completed."
    How can I change to make it work? Please help/advise.
    Alex
    CODE below:
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class SampleProgram
    static JFrame f1;
    static JPanel p1;
    JButton b1, b2;
    SampleProgram()
         p1 = new JPanel();
         b1 = new JButton("Submit");
         b2 = new JButton();
    b2.setLabel("Cancel");
    p1.add(b1);
    p1.add(b2);
    public static void main(String args[])
         f1 = new JFrame("Sample Application");
         f1.getContentPane().add(p1);
         f1.setSize(300,300);

    Compile the progam this way to show u where the deprecation is.
    javac -deprecation SampleProgram.java
    This show that button.setLabel("Cancel");
    has been deprecated.
    Why don't you do it just the way you set the label for the submit button.
    That's like;
    b2 = new JButton("Cancel");
    By the way programs runs fine with the deprecation, its not an error.

  • Open API compile *.c in Windows with gcc

    Hello,
    Here is my Code I want to compile:
    http://rafb.net/p/h0qYEL56.html
    my compiler is gcc and I compile it like that:
    gcc -WALL -o traverse.exe -c traverse.c -Ic:/orav60/FORMS60/API
    he compile my traverse.c with warnings, but the exe is not executable.
    please help
    Paul

    YEAH I got it!
    the Solution is
    gcc -o traverse.o -c traverse.c -IC:\orav60\FORMS60\API
    gcc traverse.o c:/orav60/FORMS60/API/ifd2f60.LIB -o traverse
    1. Compile an Objectfile from the c and you get *.o
    2. bind the *.o with the c:/orav60/FORMS60/API/ifd2f60.LIB and compile it
    greetings

    If you have a model project that has objects referenced by the view controller/UI project then you need to explicitly include them in the deployment. Unlike in embedded OC4J they wont be automatically included.
    Create an ADF library deployment profile in the model project and include the generated library in your UI project war file. You can add this jar to the project Libraries/Classpath then make sure it is included in the WEB-INF/lib Contributors list.

  • Compiling Java code with Japanese characters

    I have a Java code with some Japanese characters. My compiler doesn't recognise these characters and gives me error messages.
    Please help me.

    Obviously it's not the copmiler's fault. You need to fix your code.
    Here is a link to the Java Language Specification.
    The link is to section 3.8 - Identifiers.
    It describes the acceptable naming:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jls/second_edition/html/lexical.doc.html#40625
    Perhaps your editor is not saving the text file in an appropriate format.
    What editor are you using?
    Try vim http://www.vim.org

    I also think Ada is fascinating. I wrote a small video game in Ada and I use Ada a little at work.
    "integer_IO" and "Integer_IO" doesn't matter, because Ada is case insensitive.
    I'm not home right now, but I think "Integer_IO" is a subpackage of "Text_IO":
    with Ada.Text_IO.Integer_IO;
    If you want, you can post your code and I'll see if I can compile it.
    Are you an Ada beginner? Even though I have been working with Ada for more than a year now, I still don't think I'm very good at it. I wish there was more documentation and more projects used Ada.
    Yes I'm new  into this language.
    I really won to that there will be more project's/program's written in ADA.
    This is my program code:
    With Text_IO;
    Use Text_IO;
    With Ada.Text_IO.Integer_IO;
    procedure file is
    Age :integer range 0..100;
    begin
    if Age < 18 then
    put_line("BABY!!!");
    else
    put_line("OLD MAN!!!");
    end if;
    end;
    When I try to compile it I get error:
    file.adb:3:17: "Integer_IO" is a nested package, not a compilation unit

  • Error while transforming XSLT by calling function with Reflection API

    Hi,
    I'm new to Reflection API. I want to call function from the jar file which is not in my application context. So I have loaded that jar ( say XXX.jar) file at runtime with URLClassLoader and call the function say [ *myTransform(Document document)* ]. Problem is that when I want to transform any XSLT file in that function it throws exception 'Could not compile stylesheet'. All required classes are in XXX.jar.
    If I call 'myTransform' function directly without reflection API then it transformation successfully completed.
    Following is code of reflection to invoke function

  • Attaching/Detaching libraries with Java API

    Hello,
    In my forms (Forms10g), sometimes, libraries had been attached in lower case although files are in upper case. This causes compilation errors on UNIX systems.
    I'm trying to detach these libraries with Java APIs and then reattach them in upper case.
    But I get an error when I want to save the module.
    Here is my code :
    public class UpperPll {

              try
                   FormModule form = FormModule.open("C:/AttachPll/" + formName);
                   System.out.println("Form Name is " + form.getName());
                   JdapiIterator AttachPll = form.getAttachedLibraries();
                   while(AttachPll.hasNext())
                        try
                             JdapiObject jo = (JdapiObject)AttachPll.next();
                             System.out.println(jo.getName());
                             if (jo.getName().toLowerCase().equals(jo.getName()))
                                  AttachedLibrary.find(form,jo.getName().toUpperCase()).detach();
                                  System.out.println(jo.getName().toUpperCase());
                                  new AttachedLibrary(form,jo.getName().toUpperCase());
                        catch (JdapiIllegalStateException jdise)
                             jdise.printStackTrace();
                   form.save("C:/AttachPll/New/" + form.getName() + ".fmb");
                   Jdapi.shutdown();
              catch (JdapiException jde)
                   jde.printStackTrace();
         public static void main (String[] args) {
              try {
                   FileReader r = new FileReader( "C:/AttachPll/listemodule.txt" );
                   BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader( r );
                   try {
                        String module;
                        while ( ( module = br.readLine() ) != null ) {
                             new UpperPll(module);

    We do something very simular. We rename everything to lowercase for the same reasons. I've pasted a snippet of the code we're using at the end of this post.
    To get the full source code of our converter have a look at http://www.oratransplant.nl/2005/05/30/custom-built-forms-migration-assistant/#comment-642
    Here is the code snippet:
    while (attachedLibs.hasNext()) {
    AttachedLibrary attachedLib = (AttachedLibrary)attachedLibs.next();
    String attachedLibLocation = attachedLib.getLibraryLocation();
    out("Found attached library " + attachedLibLocation, logLevel,
    false);
    if (attachedLib.getName().equalsIgnoreCase("obsolete_forms6")) {
    obsoleteAttached = true;
    if (attachedLib.getName().equalsIgnoreCase("webreports")) {
    webReportsAttached = true;
    // converted name of attached lib to lowercase
    if ((!attachedLibLocation.equals(attachedLibLocation.toLowerCase())) &&
    lowerLib) {
    out(attachedLib,
    "Converting filename to lowercase (" + attachedLibLocation.toLowerCase() +
    ")", logLevel + 1, true);
    attachedLibLocation = attachedLibLocation.toLowerCase();
    pllChanged = true;
    // attachedLibLocation = attachedLibLocation.toUpperCase();
    pldText.append(".attach LIBRARY " + attachedLibLocation +
    " END NOCONFIRM\n");
    out("Re-attaching library " + attachedLibLocation, logLevel + 1,
    false);
    }

  • How to compile against multiple libraries w/ different API's

    I am trying to write code that will run with 2 different versions of a Java library. The API is different between those 2 library versions.
    For example in library v1.1 I have a method:
    myMethod(String x) {...}And in library v1.2 I have a method:
    myMethod(String x, String y) {...}In my calling code I have a way to determine what version of the library is present. I want to dynamically choose at runtime which API to call based on this version. Roughly, the code would look like this:
    if (version = "1.1")
        myMethod("arg1");            //call 1.1 API
    else if (version = "1.2")
        myMethod("arg1","arg2");   //call 1.2 API
      }The problem is that I cannot compile my code with both versions of my library at the same time. The method whose corresponding library is not used to compile always causes an error.
    Can someone suggest a design pattern that I can use to get around this? There must be some way to call a different version of myMethod() (with different number of parameters) without exposing it to the compiler.
    Thanks.

    The problem is that I cannot compile my code with
    both versions of my library at the same time. The
    method whose corresponding library is not used to
    compile always causes an error.
    Huh?
    You do have two versions of the library right? And you can compile both right?
    If so then the problem is the application.
    If so.....
    - You create a proxy library. It loads the real library dynamically using reflection based on however you determine which is correct.
    - You compile the application using the proxy library.
    Note that in the above the application is NOT compiled with the two real libraries. The libraries are compiled seperately.

  • How to compile and creat JAR with native function

    Hi there,
    I wrote some native function for J2ME. But it seems like using J2ME wireless Toolkits, we can not compile native function. Is it right?
    Is anyone knowing how to compile and make JAR with J2MEWTK or command line?
    Thanks,
    Merry Christmas!!

    [zack327],
    JNI like or native interfaces APIs is not supported in the CLDC/MID Profile 1.0 specification. If you have J2ME code that includes JNI code, the J2MEWTK tool will not compile successfully for you.
    To package the compiled code to a MIDlet suite .jar file, use the 'Package' command in the J2MEWTK toolkit. It is found on the top menu bar 'Project' option as item on the dropdown list.
    To package the MIDlets into a MIDlet suite .jar file from the command line, you can execute the usual jar file command:
    jar cf MyMIDletSuite.jar Midlet.class
    You will also need to create a MIDlet .jad Application Descriptor file as well.
