  • Error with import of new compiled java package

    Hi,
    in order to change some code in the java classes of the packages stored in the VV2-Content, 1.0 of SAP -> http://sap.com/xi/ISU-IDEX-GE/VV2 -> Mapping Objects -> Imported Archive, I exported all packages in this folder, extracted them, decompiled some classes (using jad), in which I would like to change some code, and imported these classes associated with other exported packages in a new project of eclipse. after changing the code and successfully compiling these java classes (with no error), I exported the ".class" from eclipse, replaced the old ".class" in the packages with the newly compiled ones(in a zip file) and at the end imported the changed packages (in zip files) in the folder "Imported Archive". After saving and activating the change, I sent an IDOC from R3 system to the XI system for test. In the monitor of the XI system, there was an error, which is
    "Inkompatible Versionen von Klassen (Linkage Error)" (in English "incompatible versions of classes (linkage error)"). Can anyone tell me, how I can do with this error? Thanks.

    Vishal,
    thanks for your reply. Actually I did change some code in the decompilied class "XEdixml2EdiConverter". I think this class does nothing with mapping(transformation), but it converts the tranformed edixml to final edifact. Can I test it in the repository as you said?
    regards

  • Compiling java package class referring a default package class.

    I am trying to compile a java class having a package defination referring a java class with a default package.
    The code for the default package class is .
    public class Test{.
    public static void main(String[] args){
    System.out.println("Hello World!");
    This class compiles fine.
    I have another class called PackJava, whose code is :
    package test;
    import Test;
    public class PackJava{
    public static void main(String[] args){
    Test test = new Test();
    System.out.println("Hello World!");
    I have Test file in the windows path
    D:\development\packagetest\example
    and the PackJava java file in the path
    D:\development\packagetest\example\test
    I have set the CLASSPATH environment varibale as
    D:\development\packagetest\example;.
    When I try to compile the PackJava from the
    D:\development\packagetest\example path giving the command as
    javac -classpath . test\PackJava.java
    or
    javac -classpath %CLASSPATH% test\PackJava.java
    it gives me error,
    Do any of you have an idea of the parameter i should pass
    to the -classpath option
    Thanks

    There is a way around all this. The classes in the default packages need to implement an interface with the methods require. The interface can be in any package you want ie. com.work.around.interf.MyInterface1. Next, make this interface available in a Singleton. - The only catch here is that, the main method must reside in default package as well. And o, on start of main, instantiate the class you want and put it in the singleton. There after, you may refer to it from the singleton.
    Enjoy.

  • Compiling java Package

    I have a folder a within which I have multiple folders b c d e containing java files b c d e are the packages which r dependent on each other.
    How do I compile the whole package a instead of compiling individual java files

    Do you mean you tried it and it does not work? What are the errors? The -d option of javac might help as well.

  • Trouble compiling java files inside the packages.

    Hello I have a question in Java when compiling with packages. Can anyone Help??
    My 2 java files BeerSelect2.java & BeerExpert.java are in packages com.example.web & com.example.model respectively.
    C:\MyProjects\beerV1\src\com\example\web\BeerSelect2.java
    and
    C:\MyProjects\beerV1\src\com\example\model\BeerExpert.java
    I have compiled the BeerExpert.java in the model package.(ie the class file for BeerExpert is in the com.example.model package.)
    My BeerSelect2 file which is inside the web folder is like this
    package com.example.web;
    import com.example.model.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class BeerSelect2 extends HttpServlet
    public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws IOException, ServletException
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out=response.getWriter();
    out.println("Beer Selection Advice<br>");
    String c=request.getParameter("color");
    out.println("<br> Got Beer color "+c);
    BeerExpert be=new BeerExpert();
    List result=be.getBrands(c);
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    out.println("BEER SELECTION ADVICE <br>");
    Iterator it=result.iterator();
    while(it.hasNext())
    out.print("<br> try: "+it.next());
    This shows 3 comile errors.
    & the BeerExpert.java file which is in the model folder is like this:
    package com.example.model;
    import java.util.*;
    public class BeerExpert
    public List getBrands(String color)
    List brands=new ArrayList();
    if(color.equals("amber"))
    brands.add("Jack Amber");
    brands.add("Red Moose");
    else
    brands.add("Jale pale Ale");
    brands.add("Gout Stout");
    return (brands);
    This compiles fine in the model folder.
    Now when I'm trying to compile my BeerSelect2.java in the 'web' folder in which I'm trying to import the com.example.model.* which is as follows
    C:\MyProjects\beerV1\src\com\example\web>javac BeerSelect2.java
    which gives 3 errors like this
    BeerSelect2.java:3: package com.example.model does not exist
    import com.example.model.*
    ^
    BeerSelect2.java:22:cannot find symbol
    symbol: class BeerExpert
    location: class com.example.web.BeerSelect2.
    BeerExpert be=new BeerExpert();
    ^
    BeerSelect2.java:22:cannot find symbol
    symbol: class BeerExpert
    location: class com.example.web.BeerSelect2.
    BeerExpert be=new BeerExpert();
    ^
    Can anyone help???

    Since the classes are part of the com.example.web and com.example.model packages the most straight forward way to compile is from the folder containing "com". Assuming you want the resulting .class files to be in the same folders are their associated .java source files:
    C:\MyProjects\beerV1\src\> javac -cp . com\example\model\BeerExpert.java
    C:\MyProjects\beerV1\src\> javac -cp . com\example\web\BeerSelect2.javaThe -cp . part is there to set the classpath (the location that the compiler will use to locate java classes) and thereby let the compiler make sense of the import statements.
    The presence of "src" in the directory path strongly suggests, however, that the intention is not to have source and class files end up in the same directory. If this is the case read up on the syntax of the http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/tools/windows/java.html (java.exe) and http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/tools/windows/javac.html (javac.exe) commands. (paying attention to how searching for types is done). Also read up on any documentation you were given for building the application (if you are modifying something already given).
    If you are using an IDE you should say.

  • Java package compile errors

    I use a batch file to compile a java package. And I got the following errors:
    TabPages: Java: 29: Cannot solve symbol
    Symbol: class JSPFactory
    Location: package JSP
    JSPFactory = javax.Servlet.jsp.JSPFactory.getDefaulfFactory();
    Note: Some input files use or override a deprecated APT.
    Note: Recompile with -deprecation for details.
    I am using New Atlanta servletExec 3.1 and IIS server. Can anyone help me figure our the above errors? Thanks!

    if I add the "set classpath=".,C:/javax" to the begining of the batch file, will this override the classpath that I set in the Environment window? I am worried about this since we have a bunch of environment variables already been set there.
    I tried to add the ";c:\javax" at the end of the classpath on my Environment window, and rebooted the server, but still got the same error message. Did I have some syntax error? What does the dot before ";C:/javax" mean? I deleted it when I added them to the classpath.
    It will cause too much trouble to add the "javac XXX.java -classpath=".;C"/javax" to each file that needs this package because we don't have a single command for compiling a single java file. We have a huge amount of java files and we just use a single "javac -d" to compile every file under several folders. Our batch file is as follows:
    del /F/Q ..\classes
    javac -d ..\classes *.java htmltool\html\*.java ises\*.java DropDown\*.java frmselection\*.java grid\*.java treeView\*.java reportTreeMenu\*.java hs\types\*.java
    del /F ..\lib\grid.jar
    del /F ..\lib\TreeView.jar
    cd ..\classes
    jar cf ..\lib\grid.jar grid
    rmdir /S/Q grid
    jar cf ..\lib\TreeView.jar treeView
    rmdir /S/Q treeView
    cd ..\javasrc
    Another thing is that: we have exact the same classpath and batch file on another server which works fine, and its classpath doesn't include explicitly stuff like";c:\javax", but we never have prolbem compiling the java source. So do I miss something else?

  • Error while compiling java file

    Hi, im newby in java,
    i was trying to compile java files, and after that i will use it in JSP as javabean.
    I have 2 files already, the first file is a connection code, and its compiled successfully, it looks like this
    i named this as ConnectionBean.java
    package my_package;
    import java.sql.*;
    public class ConnectionBean {
         private Connection con;
         private static final String driver = "org.postgresql.Driver";
         private static final String url = "jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/PSQLDS";
         private static final String username = "postgres";
         private static final String password = "mypassword";
         public ConnectionBean() {
         public Connection logOn() {
              try {
                   Class.forName(driver); con = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password); }
              catch(ClassNotFoundException e) {
                   System.err.println("ConnectionBean: driver unavailable..."); con = null; }
              catch (SQLException e) {
                   System.err.println("ConnectionBean: driver not loaded..."); con = null; }
              return con;
         public void logOff() {
              try {
                   con.close(); }
              catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace(); }
    as you can see above im using "package", and yes i have manage to put all my java files within the correct path (ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\my_package)
    And also, i have test this class as javabean on JSP file and it works.
    There for i continue to create the second java file, as a purpose to create a back engine for JSP. I use the same package as ConnectionBean.java, it looks like this
    i named this as ListPageEngine.java
    package my_package;
    import java.beans.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    public class ListPageEngine {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              ConnectionBean conBean = new ConnectionBean();}
    on compiling process using command "javac ListPageEngine.java", i get this error message
    ListPageEngine.java:11: cannot find symbol
    symbol : class ConnectionBean
    location: class my_package.ListPageEngine
    ConnectionBean conBean = new ConnectionBean();}
    ^
    ListPageEngine.java:11: cannot find symbol
    symbol : class ConnectionBean
    location: class my_package.ListPageEngine
    ConnectionBean conBean = new ConnectionBean();}
    ^
    2 errors
    I think, i am pretty much sure that all my configuration (wheater its Apache TomCat, Environment Variable or PostgreSQL server) was good, as a prove, i was able to use ConnectionBean.class in my JSP file.
    I susspect the problem is related with "package", seems i cannot use ConnectionBean class within ListPageEngine class when i use package.
    For another information, i didn't install such thing as J2EE, i only install JDK 1.5, i also guess this might be the cause.
    Right now im all stuck, i try to find thread which might be related with my problem but i failed to find it, most of them get the same answer by UncleSAM which are
    Try the following forum (about JSP technology)
    http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=45
    JavaBeans spec contains nothing about JSP, but JSP spec describes using of beans.
    i hope my question is clear so anyone who might have experience or clue with this problem might be able to help me.
    Thanks before

    finally folks, i found answer to my own problem hehehehe..
    the problem is on the compiling command (javac ... my_file.java), i found that i need to add some parameter on the command to make it works.
    This problem solved.

  • Import Java package in JSP

    I hope this is an appropriate forum for this query.
    I want to be able to access a user-created Java package in JSP.
    I have this code:
    <%@page import="TPClass.*" %>
    <%
    xxx = TPClass
    session.setAttribute("response",xxx.GetTPResponse());
    %>
    The error display points to TPClass in the import statement with the message "TPClass not found".
    TPClass files are in the same location as the other project files.
    I have creatyed and compiled the TPClass package.
    Is there more I need to do?
    Brenton

    I think you are very new to java....
    anyway
    <%@page import="class name with full qualified package name"%>
    like
    <%@page import="com.x1.x2.TPClass"%>
    <%
    TPClass cls =new TPClass();
    //then do whatever you want...
    %>
    hope u understand now.....

  • NoClassDefFound error when using custom Java package in scripting QPAC

    Hi,
    I compiled a little Java-package (.jar), which contains a class that uses
    com.adobe.workflow.datatype.form.FormDataTypeInstanceImpl.
    I put my library in the lib folder of JBoss (...\server\all\lib).
    Then I'm was trying to invoke my custom class in the scripting QPAC. But I'm constantly getting the error message
    NoClassDefFound com\adobe\workflow\datatype\form\FormDataTypeInstanceImpl. I already put
    adobe-wkf.jar (and various others) in the lib folder of JBoss. Without ever succeeding. Unfortunately.
    I'm going mad about this.
    Is there a way to address a custom package in the scripting QPAC, which uses
    FormDataTypeInstanceImpl?
    Steve

    Removing the LiceCycle jars from the lib folder did not work. I still get the same error message.
    What I wanted to do is provide some basic utilities, without having to spend a lot of time designing QPAC user interfaces.
    My utility class contains methods like this one:
    @param
    pFormData
    @return
    @throws
    ParserConfigurationException
    @throws
    SAXException
    @throws
    IOException
    public static
    org.w3c.dom.Document formToXml
    FormDataTypeInstanceImpl pFormData
    throws
    ParserConfigurationException, SAXException, IOException
    byte
    data = pFormData.getXFAData
    InputStream objXMLInputStream =
    new
    ByteArrayInputStream
    data
    // create new Document object
    DocumentBuilderFactory objFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance
    DocumentBuilder objBuilder = objFactory.newDocumentBuilder
    org.w3c.dom.Document objDocument = objBuilder.parse
    objXMLInputStream
    return
    objDocument;
    Even without ever invoking the aforementioned method, I get the error
    NoClassDefFound: FormDataTypeInstanceImpl. Which is pretty weird.
    Do I have to write my own classloader?

  • How to call a C program in java PACKAGE

    am trying to call a method implemented in C from java.
    I followed the instructions of sun.java.com tutorial for the simple example of HelloWorld. It works fine.
    BUT, when I try to do the same in a package, I run into a lot of trouble. I did the following :
    1. Created HelloWorld.java in a package GUI/ and compiled it
    package GUI;
    import java.io.*;
    class HelloWorld {
    public native void displayHelloWorld();
    static {
    System.loadLibrary("hello");
    // Call native method through this from other classes
    public void callinghello() {
    callip();
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    new HelloWorld().displayHelloWorld();
    2. javah -jni HelloWorld -- to create HelloWorld.h
    3. wrote HelloWorldImp.c
    4. g++ -Wall -shared -I/usr/lib/j2sdk1.3/include -I/usr/lib/j2sdk1.3/include/linux HelloWorldImp.c -o libhello.so
    -- compiled and created .so file
    5. Set the package directory in Classpath, path and LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    6. When it is run java GUI.HelloWorld
    I get this error
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: OrionGUI/HelloWorld
    Can anyone help me. If you have any links to how to call native methods in package, please let me know. Thanks.

    GOT IT !!!
    I had to change the name of the method in .h file generated by javah command. On doing
    javac -d ../../classes HelloWorld.java
    go to the ../../classes directory (where you have the class file) and do
    javah HelloWorld
    I got a HelloWorld.h file in which I had
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_HelloWorld_display(JNIEnv *, jobject);
    I added the package name too:
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_GUI_HelloWorld_display(JNIEnv *, jobject);
    The HelloWorldImp.c file should have the same name (ie with package) and be in the same directory(ie ../../classes)
    compile and build the shared library to get "libhello.so" file
    gcc -c -fPIC -I/usr/lib/j2sdk1.3/include -I/usr/lib/j2sdk1.3/include/linux HelloWorldImp.c
    gives .o file
    gcc -shared -o libhello.so HelloWorldImp.o
    gives .so file
    then run java with the command in my first message. It works.
    Thanks for the reply "thedracle".

  • Problem compiling java file to access web service! newbie troubles !

    I am new to web services and this is my first program...
    I am compiling java file which has import statement like:
    import org.apache.soap.util.xml.*;
    import org.apache.soap.*;
    import org.apache.soap.rpc.*;
    It says ----- package org.apache.soap.util.xml does not exist as one of errors..
    I have a folder that I named soap myself and I have activation.jar,serces.jar,mail.jar,soap.jar in it.
    I added c:\soap in my classpath and this was supposed to be the quickstart way to try an example out...
    but it gives me compilation errors... what should I do ?

    You'll need to specify each jar file in the classpath. c:\soap\xerces.jar;c:\soap\sax.jar;....

  • Problem with Java-Packages in JavaFX-Scripts

    Hello!
    What I'm trying to do is using a class I've built in my project in a JavaFX-Script, my problem is that the compiler keeps telling me my package wouldn't exist.
    My filestructure is basically the following:
    src
    |-com.foo.java
    |-- MyClass.java
    |-com.foo.javafx
    |-- MyFXScript.fx
    I've tried importing the package or just writing the fully qualified classname when trying to create an instance, the messages didn't differ. I'm not at home right now so I don't remember the exact compiler-message, but it was something like "Package does not exist: com.foo.java".
    Any ideas? :-)
    Kind regards,
    Joshua

    It works on my system.
    MyClass.java
    package com.foo.java;
    public class MyClass {
        @Override
        public String toString() {
            return "My Class";
    MyFXScript.fx
    package com.foo.javafx;
    import com.foo.java.*;
    var myClass = new MyClass();
    println(myClass);standard-run:
    My Class
    browser-run:
    jws-run:
    midp-run:
    run:
    BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 3 seconds)

  • How to Compile java project on command prompt

    Hello Friends,
    I have created one java project in eclipse. It has 3 packages, 4 external jars and one Link source (meaning it uses other java package that is not in the same project folder)
    It runs perfectly using eclipse.
    Now I want to compile my project and want to run that project.
    I tried using "javac -classpath........." but it didn't work for me. Here is the command I used:
    I am running this command under my main project folder
    javac -classpath ./../../../lib/tools/lib/blur/blur_formats-1.0.jar;./../lib/commons-codec/commons-codec-1.3.jar;./../lib/commons-httpclient/commons-httpclient-3.1.jar;./../lib/commons-logging/commons-logging-1.1.1.jar;./../lib/org.json/org.json.jar;./../lib/smack/3_0_4/smack.jar;./../../../device/branches/viper/Service/blur/common/push/src* ./src/com.proj.hnm.push.StartService.java*
    1) /device/branches/viper/Service/blur/common/push/src - is a different package I am referring (not in my current project folder) - it has java files in com.pushsync package
    2) ./src/com.proj.hnm.push.StartService.java is my main class, com.proj.hnm package also contains another 2 package, and those other packages also have .java files
    Please tell me how do I run my java project?
    Thanks

    Hi
    Since it works fine in Eclipse you should install the [Fat Jar eclipse plugin|http://fjep.sourceforge.net/] which will pack everything thats in your eclipse project into a single jar file. Then you can run: java -jar myProject.jar and it should work.

  • Compiling java files in DOS window

    Hi,
    I have been writin a small Client Server Application. I am attempting to use java packages in order to put certain class files into particular directories, and then import the packages when needed.
    So far, i have started my 1st attempt at a very small application just to send / receive messages. My problem is however, that i can compile all the java files into specific directories & packages no problem, but when i try to compile the java files which make use of these classes, i keep getting the same error.
    OK, i will try to simplify,
    My Server program (called MyServer.java) uses 2 classes (called ProcessTransaction, and NumberValidator), I have compiled the generated class files from ProcessTransaction.java and NumberValidator.java files into a DIR called C:\JavaForm\serverstuff. i.e. my server program imports the package "serverstuff,*;" The problem is that when i try to compile my server program i get the error message:
    "cannot access ProcessTransaction
    bad class file: c:\JavaForm\ProcessTransaction.java
    file does not contain class ProcessTransaction
    Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of classpath"
    I am using the command:
    javac -classpath c:\JavaForm c:\JavaForm\MyServer.java to compile the server file
    All the java and class files are stored in the C:\JavaForm folder
    I dont understand why the ProcessTransaction call cannot be accessed because it is most definitely in the compiled java file!!!
    Any help would be much appreciated!!!
    Cheers
    Iain

    it's OK, i figured out that to compile the Server program successfully, you have to remove all the other java files from the DIR which the Server.java files exists, or else there is a conflict!!!! I dont know why, but that's what you have to do!!!!
