Concurrent Manager start/stop EBS R12

Hi all,
I am starting all the processes/services in my EBS R12 as APPLMGR user,
using the shell script:
$ adstrtal.sh apps/apps
and to stop it with:
$ adstpall.sh apps/apps
But when I run the stop script, I still see the Concurrent Manager process active
(ps -ef|grep FNDLIBR).
Does adstpall.sh do not contain the script to stop CM?
Thanks a lot

I just get paranoid when it keeps emailing the APPLMGR user that the CM died -giving up What is the message you get? If it says "successfully" then you can ignore the message.

  • EBS R12 Installation on Windows XP

    Hi All,
    I have installed the EBS R12 Vision on the Windows XP and the installation went successful without any issues. But when i submit the Concurrent Programs, i get an Inactive - No Manager. I have started the OracleConcMgr process from the Windows services but still getting this error.
    On the Administer Concurrent Managers, i could see like below:
    Name Actual Target Running Pending
    Internal Manager 1 1 0 0
    Standard Manager 0 3 0 20
    ps -ef | grep -i FNDLIBR returns nothing
    Could someone tell me the steps on how to make the Concurrent Manager active so that i could run the Concurrent Programs?

    Hi Hussein,
    Thanks for the immediate reply.
    The last line says "Make sure that environment files (.cmd) do not have duplicate and/or extra entries". Could you let me know what are the environment files that i need to look and the directory path where i could find those files?

  • Using non-administrator user to start/stop services

    We have Crystal Report Server (BOE XI) running on Windows platform.
    Our customer's policy dictates that operator ID are to be use to manage starting/stopping of Crytal Report Server. The operator ID has no administrator rights and it has no access to the Microsoft Management Console.
    Would it be possible to use non-administrator ID to start/stop Crystal Report Server services? Appreciate if anyone could share on the configuration.
    Thank you.

    salafrance wrote:A simple way would be to write a small C program to run systemctl setuid root.
    So perhaps like this?
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <unistd.h>
    int main(void)
    execl("/usr/bin/systemctl", "systemctl", "start", "calibre", NULL);
    return(EXIT_SUCCESS);
    compiled it, then "chown root:root test", "chmod u+s test" and it worked.
    But is this safe? I have absolutely no knowledge about potential security issues...
    I also have thought about periodically restarting calibre, but on the Raspberry Pi, with it's slow ARM, the start takes ages and the processor is completely busy with that task for some minutes.
    And that's the reason why I also want to avoid starting an entire second systemd session... Or is this not that resource intensive?

  • How do you display the tables of EBS R12 (VIS)?

    Hi,
    My sqlplus does not work but I have an Oracle sqldeveloper. How do you display the tables info of order management module in EBS R12 for windows?
    For example:
    Base tables
    oe_order_headers_all
    oe_lines_all
    oe_lot_serial_numbers
    oe_sales_credits
    oe_price_adjustments
    Interface tables:
    OE_HEADERS_IFACE_ALL
    OE_LINES_IFACE_ALL
    OE_RESERVTNS_IFACE_ALL
    OE_CREDITS_IFACE_ALL
    OE_PRICE_ADJS_IFACE_ALL
    OE_LOTSERIALS_IFACE_ALL
    OE_ACTIONS_IFACE_ALL
    Thanks,
    Fernando

    Hi Fernando,
    The tables for Order Management will mostly be in ONT schema - APPS schema only holds Views, Synonyms, PL/SQL Packages and similar abstractions.
    In SQL Developer make a connection to the APPS schema, then go to Synonyms and you'll see the tables (note you should filter as there are lots of objects in Apps schema)!
    In the synonym SQL tab you can see the base schema for the table, e.g.
    CREATE OR REPLACE SYNONYM "APPS"."OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL" FOR *"ONT"*."OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL";
    Make a connection to the base schema, e.g. ONT.
    Then you'll see the ONT tables under the Tables folder.
    Alternatively, connect as apps and execute SQL "desc OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL"
    Or look at the APPS schema views instead, e.g. OE_ORDER_HEADERS
    Regards,
    Gareth

  • Concurrent manager not working

    Hi all
    I have just been assigned to work on an environment that was just installed by someone else .
    The problem is that when I submit a new request to the concurrent manager it stops in the phase "inactive" and the message in the status is " No manager"
    I restarted the services using the adstpall/adstrtal scripts and the problem is still not fixed . I also tried to restart the service 'concmgrvis_hostname' and it still not working . Is there any way I can fix the problem other than a fresh install. Keep in mined I do not know what the person who installed it did ,or if he knows what he is doing
    Thanks in advance

    Please review the CM log file, make sure that no error/warning messages are reported. I would suggest you run cmclean.sql and check then.

    a)configure printer at operating system level
    b)restart concurrent manager service from service panel

    I have installed Oracle EBS R12 in Linux enterprise through Virtual box on windows 7 professional. It takes a long time to start and stop EBS as I have to start and stop the scripts manually - can someone please help me with the following (I have tried searching the web and Oracle for help but have had no joy);
    Q1. I want to create a executable file in Linux so I can double click the file in Linux to start EBS automatically instead of going through each script manually

    Hi,
    Is the CM service up and running?
    Can you find any errors in the CM log file?
    Please stop the CM, run cmclean.sql, and start CM again then.
