  • CONCURRENT PROGRAMS

    hi all,
    Concurrent programs(sql*plus), actually i write a script(test.sql) and attach it to the concurrent programs.
    Is that possible i can call that scripts in any of my custom forms in apps and if so!
    can anybody tell me the steps...
    or suggest any other methods

    You can use the FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST package function to submit any concurrent program you may have defined. See the Oracle Applications Developer's Guide on how to use this and related packages.

  • EBusiness Suite Adapter - Can we trigger unix Concurrent Program

    Hi,
    Using E-Business Suite Adapter, can we trigger a concurrent program with Unix Script as the Execution method in 11.5.9 Oracle Applications
    Thanks
    Sachin Sutar

    If you are using jDev 10.1.2.0.2 BPEL designer and your eBiz is 11i.10 then you should be able to. I don't think Integration Repo is available in 11i.9 which the eBiz adapter application explorer relies on.
    But nevertheless, it's not that hard to trigger the concurrent program using DB adapter. Remember good old FND_REQUEST pl/sql api?

  • Unable to generate XML's for BLOB datatypes from Concurrent program

    Hi All,
    I've a requirement to print images on rtf layout. Images are uploaded by end user through attahments men
    there are getting stored in fnd_lobs tables.
    for printing blob images we need to convert them into CLOB and generate XML's.
    I've done the conversion through a function and calling the function in the select query which is generating XML when i run it from toad.
    SELECT xmlgen.getXml(
    'SELECT file_id,mob_getbase64String(file_data) photo
    FROM fnd_lobs
    WHERE file_id = 2490481'

    But the same thing we i registered as concurrent program (SQL*Plus) the program is running into error.

    Can you check from which schema you are executing FND_REQUEST? You can try as follows;
    Connect to your required schema, create a synonym on apps.fnd_request, connect from apps and finally execute grant all on apps.fnd_request to all.
    You can check for relevance from Doc ID: Note:147495.1
    Please do keep in the mind the soultion above should be applied to a test/dev EBS instance first.
    I hope this would be of help.

  • SQL not working as Concurrent Program

    Hi
    I have the following sql pl/sql script which when I run in TOAD, works fine and successfully updates the custom tables
    declare
    v_position_id number;
    v_curr_org_id number;
    v_new_org_id number;
    begin
    select pos.position_id
    into v_position_id
    from xxsac_all_positions_f pos
    where pos.name like '%'||'&1%'||'%'
    and pos.effective_end_date > sysdate;
    select curr_org.organization_id
    into v_curr_org_id
    from xxsac_all_organization_units curr_org
    where curr_org.name = '&2'
    and curr_org.date_to is null;
    select new_org.organization_id
    into v_new_org_id
    from xxsac_all_organization_units new_org
    where new_org.name = '&3'
    and new_org.date_to is null;
    update xxsac_all_positions_f
    set organization_id = v_new_org_id
    where position_id = v_position_id
    and organization_id = v_curr_org_id

    where position_id = v_position_id
    and organization_id = v_curr_org_id

  • SQL query to assign multiple concurrent programs to concurrent manager.

    Hello,
    Do you have any script to assign a list of concurrent Program to distinct  Concurrent Managers . Actually there are more than 100 programs need to be assigned to manager.ut
    We can do it from front end,but it will take quite long time to finish this task.

  • Oracle EBS sql*plus concurrent program

    Hello,
    I have created some sql*plus concurrent programs. When I run the query in sql*plus or sql developer the results are as expected but when run as a concurrent program I am getting additional rows in the output. This seems to only occur when there are calls to API's such as ARPT_SQL_FUNC_UTIL.
    get_salesrep_name_number.
    I am not sure where the extra results are coming from since I can't get them in a query but for a small number of cases I am getting unwanted records. I would really like to just have it return the same results as when run outside the context of the concurrent program. Is there any settings I can put in for this? The api's used in the query (function calls) were used since they are taken from standard Oracle views. I would prefer to leave them in as we know they are giving us the correct results and digging into each one to see what it is doing and replacing it with a sub query would take a lot of time.
    I could possibly just change this into a PL/SQL package with utl_file but I would prefer not to go to that effort unless absolutely.
    Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    I have a SQL PLPUS script which generates the CSV file, the problem is whenever I run manually(@c:\future_cost.sql) it's works.
    I am trying to generate this CSV from Concurrent program my request is completed successfully but it is not throughing data into my CSV.What do you mean by concurrent program?
    The more information you provide, the chances of getting accurate answer will increase! :)

  • PL/SQL log in java concurrent program is missing

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing something strange with EBS R12 concurrent program logs.
    Our concurrent program is just a normal program that runs fine in most cases. It is written in java, which calls PL/SQL procedures. Usually the log is concatenation of logs from both like following
    (log from mid-tier java codes ...)
    Start of log messages from FND_FILE
    (log from database tier PL/SQL codes ...)
    End of log messages from FND_FILE
    But on one customer's environment the PL/SQL log is missing. This makes us unable to see the important messages.
    I tried to directly look at the files but had no luck.
    select 'cat '||c.value||'/'||p.plsql_log
    from fnd_concurrent_processes p, fnd_concurrent_requests r, fnd_env_context c
    where r.controlling_manager=p.concurrent_process_id
    and p.concurrent_process_id=c.concurrent_process_id
    and c.variable_name='APPLPTMP' and r.request_id=...
    (file not exist in file system)
    req=...; nedit ${APPLCSF}/log/l${req}.req&
    (pl/sql part is missing)
    We verified database tier log directory is writable and has free space.
    Also verified that other concurrent programs written in PL/SQL has correct logs.
    How can we get PL/SQL logs? Please help.
    Thanks

  • Calling Transaction Import Concurrent Program in PL/SQl program

    Hi,
    I am trying to run Transaction Import process by calling the concurrent program in my pl/sql program.I think I am passing all the right paramters which are necessary.But the actual PAXTRTRX is never being called and I am not getting any request ID back.No exception is being thrown.Following is how I am calling the concurrent program...

              , argument2 => 'My batch name here'
    ,argument3 => 'my TXN_INTERFACE_ID here'
    If I run the PRC: Transaction Import from front end...the process is run and import was completed just fine.But I am not able to call concurrent program from my program.Is there anything I am missing...Is there any thing I need to do before I call the concurrent program...
    Any help in this issue is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the advise. Yes I was calling the initialize function but I was passing wrong application id and responsibility id to that.Now that is taken care of.

    Presently when this block runs, i can see the new PO number created. Commit is also successfully executed. The last output for the program is
    New Po is 20651
    Quantity Is 450
    But due to some reason, the receiving program(receive_po) cannot retrieve the same PO from the base table.
    But once this pl/sql block is complete, and i call the receving procedure from a different session, the Po is retrieved and receiving against the PO is executed successfully.
    Can someone please suggest a work around ? Is the code missing something ? Since POXPOPDOI is a concurrent program which is executed as an asyncronous process, the commit statement after the call to concurent program does not work but the commit is executed only after it exits the pl/sql block.

    Thanks for responding.
    receive_po() program just inserts the data into RCV_HEADERS_INTERFACE and RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE tables based on the PO that is created in the previous step. So basically the new PO created has to be received and the receive_po() just inserts data into the interface tables so that RVCTP can be called after that for receiving.
    Here is the code for the procedure.
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON;
    --FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE(3,20707,201);
    --Procedure for receiving interface to load data to RCV_HEADERS_INTERFACE and RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE

  • Submitting XML Publisher Concurrent Program through PL/SQL

    Hi,
    I am trying to submit a XML Publisher concurrent program through PL/SQL API fnd_request.submit_request.
    The request gets fired and completes successfully but it doesn't pick up the default template attached to it. Its output is plain XML but expected output is PDF report.
    However when I submit this report from SRS, it picks up the default template and gives output in PDF.
    Please let me know what could be going wrong?
    Regards,
    Nitin

    Check out the FND_REQUEST.ADD_LAYOUT API. You need to call it before you submit your report.
    Cheers,
    Dave
