Conectar Tabla Dinamica al SQL 2005

Buenas Tardes

Thanks guys for trying to help
Previously, I used to see this error
    com.sunopsis.sql.c: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
and so I downloaded the driver and installed it on /orahome_1/oracledi/drivers directory.
Once I installed the driver, I am getting
7000 : null : com.sunopsis.sql.l: Oracle Data Integrator Timeout: connection with URL
So, I am thinking the agent is recognizing the driver but still not able to connect.
CTS, If you are saying whether I tested the connection using the agent. Yes, I did and it is resulting in the same error.
Can you please elaborate if you suggest trying something else.

  • The tables are not listed in table browser (Designer) MS SQL 2005 SP3

Database: SQL 2005 SP3, using ODBC Connection
    Database name: Test_7.6_Reporting
    Business Objects XI3.1 SP2
When I open the table browser, I see all my databases listed.
If I expand these I see three folders - Information_Schema, dbo and Sys, it doesn't show anything after i expand dbo.
I need to know how to get these tables to show.
    Please advice. Thanks!

    Hi BK,
This seems odd. All I can think of is that there may be a security issue. Maybe it doesn't register you as dbo.  Check into the possible security differences between you and a user who can see those tables under dbo.
    Thanks!

  • Copy table from Ms SQL Server 2005 to Oracle with SSIS package

    Hi all
I am witting an SSIS package to copy 2 tables from Ms SQL Server 2005 to an Oracle 10g database.
Problem: I can only see the Microsoft OLDB Provider for Oracle and it is too slow. How can I use the Oracle ODBC in aMs SQL Server 2005 or building a .net SSIS package.
    thanks

Yes I am able to see the driver on the Data Source (ODBC), I also created a connection to the Oracle database. The problem in Ms SQL Server 2005 is that the ODBC connection I created is not listed. None of the lo local connections are listed, only Microsoft OLEDB connections

  • Who is right? Sql 2005 SSMS view of table or INFORMATION_SCHEMA?

We scripted an old sql 2005 table under Management Studio and got this:
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[TestTable](
     [myId] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
     [Item_#] [char](8) NOT NULL,
     [Count] [smallint] NOT NULL,
     [ProductName] [char](45) NOT NULL,
     [U_Item_#]  AS (upper([Item_#])),
Notice that U_Item_# computed column appears in the 5th ordinal position from the top.
    Next I ran this query:
         select table_ProductName, column_ProductName, ordinal_position
         From INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS
         where table_ProductName = 'TestTable'
    Results returned:
    table_Name      column_Name       ordinal_position
    TestTable         myId                   1
    TestTable         Item_#                2
    TestTable         U_Item_#            3
    TestTable         Count                   4
    TestTable         ProductName        5
    TestTable         U_ProductName     6
Notice that  U_Item_# is now in ordinal positon 3 which is not the same as that returned by the script.
Which  one is to be believed? (SSMS or INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS)
    TIA,
    edm2

This is what I got in SQL Server 2014, same as CREATE TABLE:
    select table_name, column_name, ordinal_position
    From INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS
    where table_name = 'TestTable'
    TABLE_NAME COLUMN_NAME ORDINAL_POSITION
    TestTable myId 1
    TestTable Item_# 2
    TestTable Count 3
    TestTable ProductName 4
    TestTable U_Item_# 5

  • Connecting to SQL 2005 from Oracle error

I have an Oracle Database and SQL Database on the same server and wants to use odbc to connect to the SQL 2005 database and query tables of my choice.
I did configured the ODBC correctly and called the DSN TSH_ARCHIVE. I have tested it and it works great. But each time I run the following query I get error:
    SQL> select count(*) from BALANCES_HS@tse_archive;
    select count(*) from BALANCES_HS@tse_archive

Any suggestion and help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the files.
There are some problems with the configuration.
    listener.ora -
    LISTENERTSE_ARCHIVE =
    (ADDRESS_LIST=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST = xxxxx.ita.doc.gov)(PORT=1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))
    SID_LIST_LISTENER=
    (SID_LIST=
    (SID_DESC=
    (SID_NAME=TSE_ARCHIVE)
    (ORACLE_HOME=J:\app\product\11.1.0\db_2)
    (PROGRAM=hsodbc)
    (SID_DESC=
    (SID_NAME=tpisdb06)
    (ORACLE_HOME=J:\app\product\11.1.0\db_2)
    This should be -
    LISTENERTSE_ARCHIVE =
    (ADDRESS_LIST=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST = xxxxx.ita.doc.gov)(PORT=1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))
    SID_LIST_LISTENERTSE_ARCHIVE =
    (SID_LIST=
    (SID_DESC=
    (SID_NAME=TSE_ARCHIVE)
    (ORACLE_HOME=J:\app\product\11.1.0\db_2)
    (PROGRAM=dg4odbc)
    (SID_DESC=
    (SID_NAME=tpisdb06)
    (ORACLE_HOME=J:\app\product\11.1.0\db_2)
The SID_LIST_LISTENER needs to match the actual listener name and the program for 11g DG4ODBC is called dg4odbc and not hsodbc.
    tnsnames.ora -
    TSE_ARCHIVE =
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = TSE_ARCHIVE)(PORT=1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = TSE_ARCHIVE)
    (HS=OK)
The HOST name - TSE_ARCHIVE does not match the HOST in the listener, so it should be -
    TSE_ARCHIVE =
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = xxxxx.ita.doc.gov)(PORT=1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = TSE_ARCHIVE)
    (HS=OK)
I've changed the actual name to xxxxx so replace that with the name in the original file.
Change the files, stop and start the listener then try again.
If you still have an ora-12154 error then send the output from the following SQL -
select db_link, host from user_db_links; <=== as the user getting the error
    and
select db_link, host from dba_db_links; <===== as a DBA user

  • CRS Editor - Retrieving Timestamp database field from SQL 2005

    Hello -
For the life of me, I cannot retrieve a database timestamp field from SQL 2005.
I have successfully used 'cast(Date as char(30)) as DateStr' to convert to string but the DBRead statement displays the original object only as java.lang.Timestamp.  Any posts regarding this topic usually require Java skill sets above my level (creating new java class for import,...).
There has to be an easy way to do this without being a Java programmer, yes?
Any help here would greatly be appreciated!
    Thanks

    Andy,
I'm guessing you know that this isn't really a date/time value in MS SQL.  According to Microsoft:
The Transact-SQL timestamp data type is not the same as the timestamp data type defined in the SQL-92 standard. The SQL-92 timestamp data type is equivalent to the Transact-SQL datetime data type.
But to your question how to get the timestamp value out in a string...You'll want to use the convert function:
    select convert(varchar(10),myTimestampField) from myTable
That will return the hex value in the column in a string format.  Also, when you retrieve the data, are you looking at the original table (which specifies the column is a timestamp), or did you create a dummy table with the columns named and formatted the way the data will be returned that UCCX can look at for the schema?  If it doesn't have the correct schema to look at, you'll have problems.
    Cliff

  • Trying to use Linked Servers in SQL 2005 to connect to RDB 7

I'm looking for detailed info on how to set up a linked server in SQL 2005 to connect to my Oracle RDB 7 database (running on VMS). I'm able to connect via odbc using VS.Net and Sql Server 2005 Reporting Services. I'm not sure if I need to use the ODP.NET or not.
