Configuration changes - OIA OIM Integration

Hi,
We would like to know if there are any configuration changes that needs to be applied apart from the ones mentioned in the system integration guide for Integrating OIA with OIM with respect to the iam-context.xml and the workflow xml files
Thanks
Avinash

hi Rajiv
do you know where can I download "Oracle Identity Manager version 11gR1 BP3"?
I read the OIA-OIM integration Guide and there are two methods to integrate both products (Preferred and Deprecated).
For the Preferred method it must be have Oracle Identity Manager version 11gR1 BP3.
I have already OIA 11.1.1.3.0 and I think there is a latest version (11.1.1.3.3 OIA BP3). Can you explain me if that's true please
Thanks in advance

  • OIA-OIM Integration.

    Hello everyone,
I have worked with OIM for quite a while now. Recently I have started working on OIA and my end goal is to integrate OIM with OIA. Having said that I would like to know what are the typical activities that are performed when such a integration takes place. I think the activities can be divided into the following categories:
    1. Initial Activities
    2. On-going activities
I understand that the activities will change depending on if OIM already exists or not.
Scenario 1: Existing OIM deployment which needs to be integrated with OIA
Scenario 2: New deployment with OIM and OIA
I also see that OIA offers features like Attestation and SoD. Attestation I guess can be done since OIA is always in synch with OIM, but can we enforce preventive mechanism using OIA for SoD?
Can everyone please contribute based on their experience with OIM-OIA integration.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi user90210,
The key thing to point out about OIM and OIA is that they have different repositories
    * OIM - Being online with the target systems and the information gets updated constantly
    * OIA - Is an offline database repository for the role management and attestation aspects (OIA does not touch the target systems)
Yes attestation can be done by both products though OIA has the capabilities of attribute attestation with the option of drilling further into detail (RACF would be a good example here). The product also has additional audit benefits included OOTB
Regarding the scenarios, the only initial factor to take into account would be the role management aspect
Initial activities would include populating the identity warehouse in OIA, building up the globalusers, accounts, businessunits etc. You can either get this information from OIM or from a flat file repository feed (so OIM would need to be populated first). If the information is already in OIM then GREAT, lets pull all the information out of OIM into OIA.
When you go through an approval process within OIM for a role for a user for example, it will push the request to OIA to determine whether this approval process should take place. This is where the SoD preventative violation gets involved. If there is a policy in place that states expressions that the action should not take place then the user-role would not be finalised. If there are no SoD violations then it goes into the approval process with the role and policy owners associated to that role. If all is good then it pushes the request back to OIM and assigns that person to that role.
You have 2 options regarding roles, either bring them in from OIM and manage the existing developed roles within the environment, or start from scratch an build the roles based on the information you have within OIA.
OIA doesn't necessary need to be in sync with OIM, when you have roles implemented its always best to keep the information up to date, though you may decide to bring the information of accounts, globalusers etc and start the role engineering - which may take weeks. While this is taking place the old roles may be implemented within OIM still. If you decide to bring in accounts and globaluser constantly you may never be able to complete your initial task on creating roles.
OIA only needs to be in sync with OIM when
    1) You have roles active and SoD violations in place
    2) You want to start a new attestation
If you haven't figured it out already, roles within OIA are authorative over OIM
Let me know if this helps
    Regards,
    Daniel

I solved the above error by removing oscache***.jar file and keeping only oscache.jar in lib directory.
However I am getting some other error this time. Let me know if you have any suggestions:

  • OID & OIM integration

    Hi ,
I am using OID version 10.1.4.0.1 and OIM 9.1.0.1 on Weblogic 10.3. with connector version 9041.
But after following all the steps of configuration of OID & OIM integration when i tried to provision a user in OID then i got error in Create User task of OID User as Response: Target Unavailable Error
Response Description: Target server not available
although i am able to talk to the OID server machine through my OIM server machine. Both are on Windows 2K3 Server OS.
Can you help me why i am getting this error? Have i missed any configuratoin step or what might be the error i should look for?
    Thanks

I am assuming the OID server over here is up and running.
After that, I would suggest you to check 1 thing -
Resource parameters provided by you are correct or not ? what about the root dn ?
Can you change your log level to debug and provide the adminserver.log details ?
    Thanks!
    - oidm

  • ORM OIM Integration, adapter compile error.

    Hi there,
I tried to set up ORM OIM integration. After importing ormoimBase.xml, I noticed the 'CODE GEN ERROR. See notes.' in the Compile Status for the two adpaters imported (orm_create_update_123 and orm_adpt_delete_123).
Anyone had the same issue? suggestions?
    Thanks.

I have the same issue in OIM-ORM integration error and the strange thing is that user details from OIM to ORM are reflecting fine but when i make any change in User detail in ORM it is not reflecting...is this the way integration works or i have some error in configuration?

  • Help me configure Change request management !!!

    Dear friends,
I am Going to Configure Change request Management, so just to ensure that the configuration is not erronous, i would need Expert advise..
Just want to know Clear few things before i proceed..
I am also refering SPRO and related notes
    Scenario :
I have two SYSTEMS SAP ECC 6.0 with System id R03 and Soluiton manager with SYSTEM id SOL,
    R03 has 3 clients, 300 600 700..
In R03 300 is the development client, 600 is quality client, 700 is the production client.
    SOL has 2 clients, 100, 200
With 200 as the production client.
Q.1) <b>Do i have to configure CHARM in both the client (100 and 200 of SOLMAN).</b>
Q.2) Initially I had tried to set CHARM in client 100 of solman, but later on realized that it has to be set up in client 200.
When i logon to client 200 and  Execute IMG activity Spro-> sap soltion manger->basic settings-> sap solution manager system->activate integration with change request management.
Then by default it take the previous client ( client 100) as the change request management client.
( as we know there are three steps in the above activity ), the other activity are executed properly, only prblem being that the default client is always set to 100, which should not be the case).
I do get the prompt saying ( "The change request clent is set to clent 100, do u want to change to client 200, on clicking yes, still it is always set the same client 100 as charm client ")
<b>Plz let me know what do i do to set the change request client to 200??</b>
Q.3) Regarding TMS, we have local domain controller in solman and local domain in R3.
We are planing to establish domain links between the two systems( ie both the domain controllers) ??
Is this the right strategy ??
<b>Any other method that u can recommend  ??</b>
Q.4)One of the IMG activity says, Generate Destinations to client 000 of all the domain controllers..
Whenever i do this these, destinations are created with errors, i am not able to create trusted RFC destinations without errors.
When i logon to satellite domain controler and excecute sm59 there are 2 destinations created Trusted and BACK.
    These destinations works well,
but when i logon to Solman, got to sm59 , when i test the TMW and TRUSTED rfc destinations  i test these destinations using Remote Logon i get error,
" no authorization to logon as trusted system"
I went thru one note which recomended Kernel upgrades to solve the problem,
I r3 my kernel relaese is 700 with patch level 56, the note recomends to apply patch 80, did u have these problems??
<b>what is your kernel patch levels in sateliite and solman systems.</b>
Q.5) TO be able to raise tickets from R3 to solman we create RFC destinations.
We also create RFC destinations to client 000 of all the sateliite system,
<b>dont u think these RFC destinations might interfere with each other??</b>
Q.6) Is there anyone who has successfully configured CHARM. Can you plz share the  configuration documents with me..
    Please note :
<b>All the contributors would be handesomely rewarded with points .</b>

    Hi,
    Check this
    Note 128447 - Trusted/Trusting Systems
    For your Q4.
    Q3.)
Establishing Domain link - That's the right way. Go ahead.
    These are the steps.
<b>1.Define Transport Routes for System Landscape</b>
assign exactly one development system to a production system, and that these two systems are connected by exactly one unique transport track. If a development system and a production system are connected by more than one transport track, this may lead to inconsistencies within the transport distribution. This type of transport configuration cannot be supported by Change Request Management, and may cause inconsistencies within the tools involved.
    <b>2. Activate Extended Transport Control</b>
The CTC parameter should be '1'
    <b>3.Configure Transport Strategy</b>
    Deactivate the QA Approval.
    <b>4. Activate Trusted Services.</b>
    5.Activate Domain Links.
You have to activate domain link between systems.
    6. Generate RFC Destinations to Client 000
    Hope this helps.
    feel free to revert back.

I have purchased a new video card to add to my computer which has integrated graphics.  When I installed the card I got a blank screen so I removed the card and restarted the computer and entered BIOS in an attempt to change it from integrated to PCIE the problem is I cannot find the option to make the change.  I can select advanced chipset but there is no primary video option to select and as far as I can tell there is no option to switch it from integrated to PCIE....  I researched this heavily and am now resorting to this as I cannot find a way to get the video card to work.  I have posted the options I have in my system's Bios below.  Thnks for looking   BIOS Version 2.14.1219Options:Main     Advanced      Power      Security      Boot Options       Exit Main:System infoDateTimeAdvancedMiscellaneous            AHCI Post 1 Not Present            AHCI Post 2 Not Present            AHCI Post 3 Not Present            AHCI Post 4 HL-DT-ST- DVDRAM GH7ON            AHCI Post 5 Not PresentAdvanced Chipset Configuration            Intel EIST             [Enabled]            Intel Turbo Boost [Enabled]            Intel AES-NI        [Disabled]            Intel XD BIT        [Enabled]            DVMT Mode        [DVMT]            DVMT Memory Size [256mb]Integrated Peripherals            Onboard SATA Controller [Enabled]            Onboard USB Controller [AHCI]            Legacy USB Support [Enabled]            USB Storage Emulation [Auto]            Onboard Audio Controller [Enabled]            Onboard LAN Controller [Enabled]            Onboard LAN Option ROM [Disabled]PC Health Status            {Health Status info}Smart Fan [Enabled]PowerACPI Suspend Mode   [3(STR)]Deep Power Off ModePower On By RTC AlarmPower on by PCIE AlarmPower on by Onboard LANWake up by PS2 Keyboard/MouseWake up by USB Keyboard/MouseRestore on AC Power LossSecuritySupervisor passwordUsername PasswordChange Supervisor PasswordBoot Options1st Boot Device2nd Boot Device3rd Boot Device4th Boot Device5th Boot DeviceEFI Device PriorityHard Disk Drive PriorityOptical Disk Drive PriorityRemovable Device PriorityNetwork Device PriorityQuiet Boot OnHalt OnExit

  • CF 7 cluster does not respond to configuration changes

I am evaluating the clustering capabilities of CF 7 in order
to upgrade our current CF6 + ClusterCats cluster.
I installed CF7 (enterprise edition – multiserver) in
two physical servers (Win 2003). On each server I created one
instance of CF and successfully registered the remote instance on
each server. Then, I configured the cluster on the first server,
selecting the weighted random algorithm for load balance and
session replication. Then, I used the webserver configuration tool
to bind the cluster to each IIS server.
The cluster worked properly, balancing the load between the
two cf instances, but when trying to find a way to temporally
restrict the load on one server for maintenance purposes I found
that the cluster does not respond to cluster configuration changes.
I changed the load to 0-100% using the coldfusion administrator
interface but it did not work. The cluster still sends requests to
the “restricted” instance. I even eliminated that
instance from the list of instances that integrates the cluster,
but it did not affect the behavior of the cluster. The eliminated
instance still serves request from the cluster. I even eliminated
the remote instance register and nothing… the cluster still
balancing the load between the two instances that originally
    integrated the cluster.
I do not understand how this is supposed to work. Does the
cluster configuration interface works only when creating the
cluster? When the changes in the cluster configuration performed
from the CF admin interface should be reflected by the behavior of
the cluster? What is the recommended procedure to temporally
restrict one instance from the cluster without stopping the
    service?
    I appreciate your help
    Eduardo

Thanks for the information Jochem. I am afraid that these are
not good news. If I have to restart the webserver in order to
change the load balance, some requests in progress could be lost.
My current configuration is composed by two physical severs,
each one running a web server and a coldfusion instance. We balance
the load between both webservers using hardware load balancing.
This is the procedure that I have to follow in order restrict one
    instance without loosing any request:
1.- Change server weight using Coldfusion admin interface
2.- Configure hardware load balance to restrict server 1
3.- Restart webserver at server 1
4.- Configure hardware load balance to enable server 1 and
    restrict server 2
5.- Restart webserver at server 2
6.- Configure hardware load balance to enable server 2
A similar procedure should be followed in order to enable the
restricted instance. I know that I can do it for 2 servers; but,
how is it handled in larger clusters? Is there a better procedure
to restrict one instance without missing requests?

  • OIM - integration

    Hi
I am new to OIM and OIA. Does anyone has information around the integration of OIM and OIA.
    Plz help

    Hi idmgod,
That link is quite old and doesn't really help to an extent (you can see the OIA product being referred to as Sun Role Manager which was around in the year 2008)
Have a look at this link what I posted on page 1...
Re: OIA 11g integration with OIM 11g issue (weblogic 11g)
If it more to do with the intregration between the 2 products rather than the installation let me know and I will be able to assist

  • No sender agreement configured in the XI Integration Directory

    Hi,
I am using MPA(MML) message format in XI scenario. My scenarios are R3->XI->Marketplace and Marketplace->XI->R3. The first scenario works fine with no problems where as when i try to post MML message from marketplace to XI system, i am seeing the "No sender agreement configured in the XI Integration Directory for the given message header:SenderParty=xxxx; ReceiverParty=; SenderService=xxxxx; ReceiverSerivce=xxx; Interface=xxxx; InterfaceNamespace=xxx;". I have created sender agreement for this secenario, and moreover i haven't this sender agreement in the xi cache. Please let me know if i am missing anything in the configuration.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sruj

Thanks a lot for replies, but i have tried all these options but no luck. Does it need any additional configurtion to resolve this issue, i dont think this is cache issue, if that is the case after all steps which i have done should have fixed it. Please post your comments.
Once again thanks a lot for everyone.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sruj

    Bonjour,

  • Anyone Seen this Message Before "Configuration changes for domain saved to the repository."

I'm running into this situation where one of my WLS servers is generating the following
messages "Configuration changes for domain saved to the repository." This process
of saving to a repository is causing an issue on start-up. Typically my deployments
take 2-3 minutes on start-up. They are now taking 10 minutes. I've made no changes
to my application. I've been able to identify that this process of saving to a
repository is the main issue of contention....
Anyone know what the message means? Anyone know how to disable this message?

This is just WebLogic writing back changes to config.xml, which it does from time
    to time for reasons like:
    - your app deployment has changed.
    - you've reconfigured something in the console.
    etc...
WebLogic just spins this off into a handy execute thread, so it would be surprising
if this was causing your app deployment to slow down (how do you know it is).
In my experience, slower than normal app deployments are usually down to:
    - waiting for database connections.
    - waiting for connecitons to other external resources.
Remember (in WLS6.x anyway) initialisation is done serially on the main thread,
so if something's slow, everything gets blocked behind it.

on the same dates you mean the same request are posted in IT2001? ie both full days?
    Please clarify
usually the Time collision checks are followed only via posting using report rptarqpost and not while applying through portal in ESS
This is very strange you indicate
SO you need to check the basic tables first
You may need to check the collision.
Collisions Tables V_T554Y and V_554Y_B reaction indicators.
    and V_T508A
able T582A set to time constraint of "Z
In backend Pa30 collision works like this
    1) the logical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the validity
interval of the IT´s (begda, endda).
    2) the physical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the time
    interval of the IT's.
In the logical collision it is checked if there is an overlap in the
validity interval if at least one of the records is a full-day
( that is the case when you enter a Daily Work Schedule (DWS) )
So when one of the records has a DWS it is considered to be a full day
record and the logical collision is taken into consideration.
If instead you enter the only the time interval manually the records
are considered to be partial-day and the physical collision is
performed. In that case only the time interval is important.
So if the clock times are not entered the physical collision can not
    take place.
The collision functionality is always based on clock times and dates,
never on the total nr of hours.
