Configuration Migration Tool Question

Hi
I trying to migrate a FIM configuration from one server to another.
While following the steps described in "Introduction to the Configuration Migration Tool" document I get an error in step 8.
Join-FIMConfig : Two objects with the same AnchorAttributeValue were detected.  A requirement for using this migration
tool is that AnchorAttributeValue is unique within an Object Type.
AnchorAttributeNames = AppliesToCreate AppliesToEdit AppliesToView DisplayName
AnchorAttributeValues = AppliesToCreate AppliesToEdit AppliesToView DisplayName
ObjectType = ObjectVisualizationConfiguration
ObjectID 1 = urn:uuid:ecbff780-511b-45da-85fe-65cbf236d80f
ObjectID 2 = urn:uuid:8aa59dca-7759-4d32-96d2-3f21ed1239f2
At line:1 char:26
I am not ware, that I have changed anything in the portal itself at all. I only have custom Sync rules, Sets and MPRs defined.
How can I determin which those objects are that make the trouble here?
What are preferred join rules to overcome this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Henry

I'm having the exact same error, but for other attributes:
Join-FIMConfig : Two objects with the same AnchorAttributeValue were detected.  A requirement for using this migration
tool is that AnchorAttributeValue is unique within an Object Type.
AnchorAttributeNames = DisplayName
AnchorAttributeValues = DisplayName
ObjectType = AttributeTypeDescription
ObjectID 1 = urn:uuid:acbcad3b-8394-4af3-a1d4-149cabae05d1
ObjectID 2 = urn:uuid:9f35c912-18bb-4b73-b128-281be0cae32f
Any tips on how to resolve this? These are built-in attributes, so I think I didn't cause this. When does he actually complain about duplicate values? Because there are more objects with duplicate DisplayNames...
The objects are:

  • Migration Tool - using a connection with a proxy

    Hi,
    my connection to Internet is via a proxy. How can I configure Migration Tool to use that proxy? Is it possible?
    Otherwise, the error message is: An error occured while connecting to Oracle CRM On Demand Server.
    I've done a test with a direct connection (no proxy) to Internet and it works, but unfortunately I need to use a proxy.
    Has anyone done this already?
    Thanks,
    Simona

    Hi Experts,
    I tried adding editing the BAT file as mentioned in this thread and I think it is bypassing the proxy but fails to generate the XML file. This is the error I get. please share your ideas.

  • Question about Backing Up apps and using Migration tool

    Since installing Leopard on my G5 PPC, I have been having a strange problem with the sleep, screen saver. Anytime the system goes into screensaver or sleep, it will not come back and will be frozen. Needless to say I was told by the Mac Genius guys that I need to do a clean install.
    So my real question now is about backing up all my apps and then using the migration tool to bring them back into the new install. I was going to attempt to use Carbon Copy Cloner on a second internal drive (Time Machine has never worked for me on my Lacie 500gb.) Once I have a full bootable copy, I will do a clean install (erase and install option) on my original drive, then I guess I am going to use the migration tool.
    So my questions are:
    1) Does this strategy seem like it will work?
    2) Is the migration tool straightforward? IE - Can I pick and choose what to put back on the new install?
    3) Any pitfalls that I should be aware of?
    I have already backed up my docs and data to the external, but I have so many programs with plugins installed that getting my apps back the way they are is essential to me.
    Thanks.

    Remember Time Machine is designed to do constant, incremental backups of your HDD. If you delete something from the internal HDD of the Mac it will no longer be backed up to the external HDD and will eventually be deleted from the backup archive as time passes and TM keeps doing its backups.
    What will probably be a better solution is to simply drag-n-drop the entire iTunes folder to an external HDD for backup and use that as the main iTunes library. The drawback to this is that to play the music you'll need to have the external HDD connected. Unless your plan is not to delete all the music from your MBP, just some of it.

  • Problem with BizTalk 2010 Party Migration Tool

    Hello All,
    We are upgrading BT2006 R2 to BT2010. We are trying to use the Party Migration Tool to move our EDI partners, but are encountering the following error while we are trying to Initialize the Migration Tool:
    The database or the database version is incompatible with the installed version of this product. For more details please see the event log
    The Event Log shows the following:
    Error Source: BizTalk Server Party Migration Tool Details:Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.BtsException: The database or the database version is incompatible with the installed version of this product. at Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.BtsCatalogExplorer.set_ConnectionString(String

    argument)
    Has anyone encountered this error yet? Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks!

    I think this is the assembly issue. I had reported it during the beta. It looks like I did actually try it on BizTalk 2006 R2. Here is the link (it should be public now):
    https://connect.microsoft.com/BizTalk/feedback/details/559323/partymigrationtool-fails-to-run-on-biztalk-2006-r2-box
    The config is here:
    <configuration>
       <runtime>
          <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
             <dependentAssembly>
                <assemblyIdentity name="Microsoft.BizTalk.Migration.PartnerManagement"  culture="neutral" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35"/>
                <codeBase version="3.0.1.0" href="..\MSI\Program Files\Microsoft.BizTalk.Migration.PartnerManagement.dll"/>
             </dependentAssembly>
       <dependentAssembly>
                <assemblyIdentity name="Microsoft.BizTalk.Edi.PartnerAgreementManager"  culture="neutral" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35"/>
                <codeBase version="3.0.2.0" href="..\MSI\Program Files\Microsoft.BizTalk.Edi.PartnerAgreementManager.dll"/>
             </dependentAssembly>
     </assemblyBinding>
       </runtime>
    </configuration>
    So you need to modify the path to match what you have - absolute paths are ok. Then try loading the tool again. I was able to get it to work this way during the beta.
    Thanks,

  • CS6 Design Standard , clone, migration tool, trial mode (urgence)

    Hi all and sorry for this question.
    I clone on a external disk my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.7) with Super Dumper .
    Then i have istalled OSX 10.8.2 and imported all data and applications with the migration tool during the installation.
    My problem is that now my CS6 Standard Edition Suite is in trial mode.
    I have a Box CS6 Design Standard licence - i have to re-insert my serial number?
    Why Apple Migration Assistant not transfer also the data of licence?
    It is normal or it's clone that is bugged?
    Many thanks.
    F

    Adobe applications should be installed, not migrated. I suggest the cleaner tool be used to uninstall all of it and then re-install the software properly.

  • GRC 10 Upgrade: Migration Tool Problem

    Hi All,
    I am in a process to migrate the GRC 5.3 data to GRC 10.0. I have successfully installed migration tool GRCACMIG00_0.sca. I accessed this tool and found the below option on the initial page:
    1. DAta Export: Export AC 5.3 Configuration and Master Data
    2. Reports: Export Migration Data+Quick Links
    3. Administration: Administer Data Export Processes+Quick Links
    I have successfully exported the configuration data. However, when I am trying to export the transactional data, much to my surprise, I found that, the option Export AC 5.3 Transactional Data is not available under Data Export.
    This link is clearly shown in the migration guide. However, I am unable to get it.
    Has anyone got inot such problem? If yes, please share the solution to this problem.
    Woiuld appreciate help
    Regards,
    Faisal

    Hi Prashant,
    We are already on higher SP level on 5.3. What else can be causing this issue.
    Where can we get more information on this. Transacional data export option is NOT VISIBLE when migration URL or application is executed

  • Oracle Migration Tool

    I recently downloaded the Oracle Migration Tool for migrating a
    Microsoft Access database to Oracle8 for Linux. This migration
    tool contains the following components:
    1. Oracle Installer 3.3.0.1.3
    2. Oracle Migration Assistant for Microsoft Access 8.0.4.0.0
    3. Oracle Named Pipes Protocol Adapter 8.0.4.0.0
    4. Oracle Net8 Client 8.0.4.0.0
    5. Oracle Objects for OLE 2.2.2.2.0
    6. Oracle TCP/IP Protocol Adapter 8.0.4.0.0
    7. Oracle8 ODBC Driver 8.0.4.0.0
    8. Required Support Files 8.0.4.0.0
    I installed everything onto my Windows98 client machine. Once I
    did this, I could see the following entries in my Start Menu
    under "Oracle for Windows95":
    1. Microsoft ODBC Administrator
    2. 004002 Class Library Documentation
    3. 004022 Bound Controls and Class Library
    4. 004022 Control Notes
    5. 004022 Release Notes
    6. Oracle Home Selector
    7. Oracle Installer
    8. Oracle Migration Assistant for MS Access
    9. Oracle Objects for OLE Documentation
    10. Oracle ODBC Help File
    11. Oracle ODBC README File
    12. Oracle ODBC Test
    When I went into the Microsoft ODBC Administrator, I could also
    see that there was a new entry under the ODBC Drivers tab:
    Oracle ODBC Driver 8.00.0400 Oracle Corporation SQORA32.DLL
    12/3/97
    So far, so good.
    Then I started going through the Oracle8 ODBC help file to get
    my machine set up to start using the tool. Under "Configuration
    Tasks," it says the following:
    Before you configure the data source, you must configure Net8
    database services, so there is an entry for each Service Name.
    To do this, start the Oracle Net8 Assistant, either click on the
    Oracle for Windows NT program group and click on the Oracle Net8
    Assistant icon or from the start bar select Programs, select
    Oracle for Windows NT, and select the Oracle Net8 Assistant.
    Using the Oracle Net8 Assistant, you can create an entry in the
    tnsnames.ora file for each Service Name. The Oracle Net8
    Assistant is installed when you install Net8.
    That's when I started running into problems. Although the
    installer had shown that Net8 had been installed, I could not
    find any evidence of a Net8 Assistant on my Windows98 client
    machine. Is there a trick to starting up the Net8 Assistant?
    Until I am able to perform this step, I cannot go to the next
    step of configuring my ODBC driver.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Brendan,
    I am not 100% sure, but I believe win98 is not supported.... yet.
    I know that 95 is supported, but to be honest, I do not run
    winDOZE. Maybe an upper authority from Oracle should correct me
    if I am wrong.

  • Getting error message " You are not authorized to access the migration tool "

    One of the users is noticed with error message " You are not authorized to access the migration tool " in SAP Cloud for Customer tenant. thanks

    Hello Raj,
    It seems that this user does not have proper authorization to perform Data Migration.
    You need to go to the WorkCenter View Assignment for this user under his access rights & need to assign him the workcenter "Business Configuration" & under it, also assign him relevant access to Data Migration.
    This shall fix the issue & the user shall not get this error while trying to perform Data Migration.
    Steps:
    1. Go to Workcneter: "Application and User Management => Business Users => Seerach for the suer who gets this error => Edit-> Access Rights => Click on Workcenter view Assignment tab & assign the above mentioned worokcenter access and save."
    Let me know for any further queries.

    I guess the next question is if I can get the upgrade online from SAP.com or go through a reseller.
    You can use support for problems arising from a CCM DB copy or IW migration. But not really for the planning of the migration. If you use a 3rd party or SAP consultant the major benefit is the migration completion is on them and whatever they offer you as far as completion time, etc. Migrations to new version can get complex.
    However if you just want to keep what you have the CCM DB copy is part of ourt backup/restore process and should be very straight forward. You destination system would contain everything from the source with all new server hardware/software.
    Lots of choices available...

  • Migration from Stellent v7.g to UCM 11g - Configuration Migration Utility

    Hello,
    I am in the process of planning a migration from the old Stellent 7.5 system to the new Oracle UCM 11g.
    I keep hearing of a utility called "Configuration Migration Utility" to setup the 11g system with the same users, folders, metadata, etc... as the older Stellent system. Does anybody know where to find this utility? Is there a single tool that will "export" the configuration from my Stellent and import that configuration onto my 11g?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks!
    JDM

    Hi
    CMU tool is a way to create the entire configuration bundle from 1 instance to the other .
    This is a component that will be available from patchset 13526049 which is for CS 7.5
    You will need to put this patchset on the 7.5 server and then from the option list select CMU which will then install the component on server .
    For ucm 11g it is already installed on the server but disabled by default .
    Thanks
    Srinath

    I don't think you can via USB Mac to Mac. You can use an ethernet cable, but you need to buy an adapter for the MBA (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC704ZM/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY)
    You can use the MBA USB port if you migrate from a Time Machine Backup or other disk (i.e a clone).
    You can also do it wirelessly:
    See page 13 ("Configure your MacBook Air with Setup Assistant")
    and page 16 ("Migrating Information to Your MacBook Air")
    from http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/MacBook_Air_13inch_Late2010UG.pdf
    FWIW, I did my migration from a clone via USB without a problem.

  • Issue with migrating 'WI' using 'TFS migration tool' when trying migrate from '2013 to 2013'

    Hi ,
    Our final destination is to migrate projects from TFS-2010 to TFS-2013, for testing and familiarizing with the
    migration tool we trying to migrate project within the 2013 server and between two servers of 2013,
    we don't have any issues with migrating source code, we done it successfully,
    but when we try to migrate 'WI' within same server and also tried to between two server we are getting two
    different errors respectively when tried within server and between server, unable to migrate 'WI' in any scenario, log files attached for the same. Log file 'error-1' is the errors generated while trying migrate 'wI' within the same server and 'error-2' is
    the errors generated while trying migrate 'wI' between two server, Need ur guidelines to over come these issues.

    Hi Sham,
    Based on your description, I'd like to know the version of TFS integration tools you're using and the error details when migrate work items. If you use TFS integration tools 2012, please make sure you have Team Explorer 2012 installed on your server machine.
    Please also let us know the configuration you used for the migartion. If you migrate between different domains, make sure the domains have two-way trust relationship. If the issue persists, check the event logs to see if there any useful information and
    elaborate more details about your scenario with screenshots.

  • Using Sun's Migration Tool

    I have been handed a project where the primary requirement is to
    convert a Websphere/DB2 application to either Sun App server(or
    JBoss)/Apache/M$ SQL Server or some other DB like mySQL.
    The
    first item I undertook was to get the code (jar files, ear files, etc)
    and the DDL files for the database. Next, I downloaded and setup
    Eclipse for J2EE development, installed Sun's App Server, downloaded
    the Sun Migration Tool and followed the instructions to enable it to
    work within the App Server environment. As a test, I randomly grabbed a
    JAR file from the pile of code to see if it would run through the
    Migration tool. Of course, it threw an exception... but, I'm at a loss
    as to what I need to do to move forward from this point. If anyone has
    any idea of how to do a migration from Websphere to Sun App Server or
    JBoss, I sure would appreciate some pointers... The exception:

    ** bump ** still having this issue... and am pulling hairs out (losing more than gaining these days...) trying to figure out why the migration tool starts out fine then craps.
    I decided to uninstall everything and create a whole new install of the latest j2EE JDK (since my original install had stuff inside of c:\Program Files\Java - and I wanted to eliminate tricky issues with having a space in the path). So, after uninstall and deleting all Java, I went through the registry on my dev machine and did a search for "c:\Program Files\Java" and replaced them all with "c:\java" - the new location for java stuff to be installed - then reinstalled everything anew.
    then I tried migrating an ear that was a web app...
    C:\>%asmt_home%\bin\asmigrate -c -S ws50 -T glassfish -t c:\temp\gfout c:\temp\cbc_20080717\source\cbci_app_v2\cbci_app.ear
    JAVA_HOME=C:\Java\SDK\jdk\
    ASMT_HOME=c:\Java\SDK\asmt
    J2EE_HOME=C:\Java\SDK\
    Extracting archives :-
    Extracting: cbci_app.ear

    Extracting: cbci_app.war

    C:\>    Looks slightly different, but in general, I am still getting the same old stuff as in the previous posting... Maybe the strange syntax in the first line of the exception is the clue "javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlAccessorType.value()Ljavax/xml/bind/annotation/AccessType;" but I can't find this in my code and am wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this before? Also, I'm noting that all references in the exception path to any sun.iasmt.* classes are "Unknown Source"... perhaps another clue to something not defined or configured somewhere; but what and where? I just don't know where to look...
    BTW - the code I am working on converting is from a Websphere 5.1 runtime environment and I have no access to the server that the files were exported from.
