Configure sender RFC

HI
EXPERTS
my Scenario is RFC TO FILE
1.when i am sending bapi from sap system to xi system i  was getting error
was : jco server couldnot fine the function /GLB/RGT_STOCK_ENQUIRY
so wt my mistke
plz help me
thanks
upendra

Hi Upendra,
The<b>jco server couldnot fine the function /GLB/RGT_STOCK_ENQUIRY</b> means, that the function wasn't found. The exception message contains the function name. The reason is clear: the ABAP server is unicode enabled and the jco server wasn't configured properly. To be able to dispatch the call from an unicode enabled ABAP server following configuration steps are necessary:
<b>      mark the destination in sm59 as unicode destionation </b>
hope this will solve your problem. Revert back to me with the result.
Thanks,
Shiv.

  • XI scenarios using Sender RFC Adapter

    Hi Forum,
I am eager to know what kind of XI scenarios use sender RFC Adapter, can u give an example,
does this mean........executing a RFC in a R/3 system and the result of the execution goes to XI.....or,
does this means, like a sender JDBC Adpter, from XI, triggering execution of a RFC on a R/3, and getting back the result into XI............
can i have a step by step blog to create such a scenario....
    thanks and regards

    Hi Sudeep,
    Sorry for late reply.
Yes the 2nd reply was for receiver RFC.
    1. As i mentioned To configure Sender RFC you need TCP\IP connection. in that connection you will use the option registered server program and will mention a program ID there.
    2. Sudeep just remember, please configure RFC sender on XI side first and give a Program ID there, gateway service, host and login of your R3 system. Program id can be any string your name also. and please dont forget to activate the channel before going to R3 side.
    3. Then configure RFC in R3 side, and mention that same program id. mention your gateway host as R3 name or IP and you can get the gateway service from Tcode smgw. it must be something like smgw<xx>.
and for ur information the program id is nothing but an identity on which basis the R3 system will search that which server object is active using that program id.
    4. when you will write a report to execute that RFC in background,  use Commit work as last statement.
Please let me know if you want any further information.

  • Problem in Sender RFC

    Dear XI Expert,
I have completed configuration part of Sender RFC scenario. In this scenario, when I execute RFC in Source SAP system, message gets routed through XI and then it is converted to file. This file is placed on a file system.
The inbound message interface is asynchronous mode.
The problem is 'After placing the file on File system, it is travelling in the reverse direction and expected mapping program between inbound message type and outbound message type.
In message monitoring it showing error with ID 'NO MAPPING_PROGRAM_FOUND' with Type to be 'Synchronous'.
    1. sender service --> xi -->receiver service
    2. receiver service --> xi --> sender service.
I don't want the 2nd step and want to configure 'Asynchronous' Sender RFC.
Can anybody help me in configuring 'Asynchronous' Sender RFC?

    Hi suraj,
i am not able to configure Sender RFC in XI which would take RFC calls from my R/3 SAP system.
The Technical System & business system that i have created for my R/3 are of type Web As ABAP ( Is this the right option ?)
I basically get error saying Program Id not registered, what might be the reason

    Hi all,

    Have these basic checks;
    1. Import the RFC and activate the same in XI.

  • Sender RFC-Problem in SM58

    Hi all,
Currently I am working on RFC synchronous call with out using BMP.
Here we have developed two asynchronous RFC call to achieve the above requirement.
    Here are the details,
    1.     A call from FILE-XI-RFC (Receiver), for sending the selection criteria
    2.     Another call from (Sender) RFC-XI-FILE for sending the response back.
Here I am going to call 2 RFCs to get the response back. Here when I am working with the scenario (2) i.e., sender RFC, I have done all the design and configuration part of it.
And when am trying to test this sender rfc from a sample ABAP report (with COMMIT WORK) the RFC gets executed without any error but when I check in SM58 all the back ground tasks gets queued and are not getting processed further.
Can anyone please help me out? Is it a configuration problem in XI or in ABAP.
Please help me. It’s very urgent for me.
    Thanks in advance,
    -kanth.

  • Sender RFC from Third Party System

I have a vendor who is actually communicating through RFC from third party Application to SAP R/3. Now we are trying have XI in between. Where as with minimal impact on both sides.
    Solution.
    1. Have the RFC made as ZRFC in XI. Let the vendor call the RFC in XI ABAP and internally make an RFC call through XI Interface to R/3 as Sync Interface. Because we need to report the information back to the system where the request initiated.
    2. Have RFC INI file copied as SAP Suggests under one of the folders. Develop the regular RFC to RFC Interface via XI.
Is there any other alternatives other than the above mentioned solutions? Or out of those 2, which one will provide the best performance
    Appreciate any feedback. Please advice

That's exactly what we are trying to achieve here. By Eliminating direct connection R/3, we are placing XI in between. But with the budget/timeline constraints from the Partner side, we are trying to have minimal change on the partner side. They might not change something to web service etc...
Here is the text about INI file
You can configure the non-SAP RFC client to connect to the sender communication channel in the following ways:
    ■       By defining the parameters PROGID, gateway-host, and gateway-service within the saprfc.ini-file using RFC-SDK.
    ■       By using appropriate parameters in the function RfcOpenEx.
If you use the saprfc.ini-file, the respective RFC destination has to be of type R.
All the parameter values used within the saprfc.ini-file or with the function RfcOpenEx should match the entries maintained within the corresponding sender communication channel.
Example for the saprfc.ini-file is as follows:
    DEST=RFCCLIENTEXT
    TYPE=R
    PROGID=P106646.HKExternalClient
    GWHOST=pwdf2153
    GWSERV=sapgw40

Using the same Sender RFC for non-SAP System, please share any ideas

  • Sender RFC Adapter-- XI-- File Receiver Adapter ?

    Dear Expert,
we are on PI 7.0 & R/3 system 4.7E WAS < 6.20.  We have a scenario where in there are some huge downloads are required from R/3 to FTP File Location. For such scenarios Normally Poxy is suggested but Due to WAs Version limitation we cannot use Proxy. The other alternative is to use SENDER RFc adapter using RFC destination with XI. we have configured the RFC destination it is working fine.
I am able to receive the message also in XI. But whenever i am running this RFC in R/3 it is giving me the shot dump as follows. :
<b>call to messaging system failed: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException:</b>
The File is also getting written to the destination properly. But in XI also i get the following error.
    <b>  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Request Message Mapping
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">

      <SAP:Retry>N</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error></b>
What could be the reason of this.? As well i am geting 3 error messages in XI.
I have defined this interface as Inbound / Async Message interface with input message as output file structure. ( Is this configuration is OKAY ?)
pl. help me to solve this error.
    Regards,
    Umesh

    HI,
Check your configuration from the message it states that it can not find out the mapping program.
Check the configuration Receiver and interface determination whether you are using the same which is designed in repository.

  • Sender RFC Adapter - Data to be sent from R/3

I am working on a scenario where I have to send data from an RFC-enabled function module from R/3 to a file server via XI. The entire scenario is asynchronous.
    Sender: RFC Adapter
    Receiver: File Adapter
I have done all design and the configuration. Both communication channels are working. I have the RFC destination also set up correctly in R/3.
However, when I run my ABAP program where the RFC-enabled function module is called, I get a shortdump with the message <b>"senderAgreement not found: lookup of binding via CPA-cache failed for".</b>
Plus: " The error occurred during an RFC call to another system."
    Could someone kidly help?

    Hi,
    Follow these steps :
    1. import the ECC_ Server into ID if not done
    2. Refresh Cache : Tcode  SXI_CACHE
    3. Please check for Sender agreement config
    4. Check out the parameters when  R/3 calls back XI, it passes the SYS-ID and client number and checks the same in the Integration Configuration Under Business System Service-> Adapter Specific Identifiers. The R/3 System ID and the client Number

  • Sender RFC error

    Hi guys,
I'm doing an RFC to File async scenario just as mentioned in the blog
    /people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2006/12/28/send-rfc-to-sap-xi-150-asynchronous
and i have done the configurations also from the blog
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/29/configuring-the-sender-rfc-adapter--step-by-step
Now when i execute my report to call the bapi with the rfc destination of my XI server, i'm getting error in sm58 of R/3 as Bean Z_BAPINAME not found. I'm not getting any messages in to XI also..
Please help me on this guys
    Thanks
    Varun

When i'm creating RFC destination in R/3 which gateway host and gateway service should i enter??
values from R/3 should be entered.
These you can find in transaction smgw, in menu  Go To> Parameters> display
here you will get values for gateway host and gateway service of R/3
you should create RFC dest of type TCP/IP, Give  a program ID .. it could be anything. This  program ID you will have to provide in RFC adapter.  Activate the adapter
Then Try to activate RFC dest at R/3.

  • Sender RFC Adapter only processes first message

    Hi there,
we have a R/3 - XI - 3rd party scenario, where the R/3 - XI communication will be established through a RFC.
The RFC destination was properly configured in SM59 in R/3 and also was the XI's sender RFC adapter, with the same program ID.
We called the RFC in R/3 Abap code and the message succesfully arrived at XI (it could be found in SXMB_MONI). However, any other call from R/3 would not result in a message arriving at XI (no new entry in SXMB_MONI nor in Message Monitoring, at RWB). New messages only appear again if we set the status of the adapter to inactive and then active again. Then the message arrives, but again, only the first one.
    Can anyone help with this?
Is there any misconfiguration in XI or RFC Destination?
Or is it the abap calling that should be processed in another way?
    Thanks in advance,
    Henrique.

    Hi,
    >>>Or is it the abap calling that should be processed in another way?
the important thing is the commit work
which must be done after call function
and you can only have one call function
    before the commit work
do you see any other errors in SM58?
    >>>Is there any misconfiguration in XI or RFC Destination?
Or is it the abap calling that should be processed in another way?
one or the other - no doubt about that

  • Sender RFC adapter - Tight coupling to an SAP client

    Hi ,
We are using a sender RFC adapter to receive a RFC request from SAP , process the request in XI and then send back a response to SAP.
Our requirement is that , this request may come from different SAP clients(client 100, 130 , 200 etc). Looks like RFC adapter configured under a Business System in XI cannot listen to calls from multiple clients and works for only one client. We get dumps in SAP when invoking this RFC from other clients.
Also i hear that the same program id cannot be used in two different RFC sender adapters, meaning i have to create a different RFC destination , create a different program id for each client in SAP.
Is there a way around for this issue ?
    Thanks
    Saravana

    Hi Saravana,
you may try a little workaround:
configure your rfc adapter only with client 100
and try invoking RFC from clients: 130 , 200
on the client 100 first (with a dummy RFC on client 100)
and then from this dummy RFC on client 100 you can start your standard RFC with your rfc adapter
    don't know any other way:)

  • Multipe Sender RFC using same Program ID

    Hi all,
I have RFC>XI>HTTP scenario. All confiruation has been done in R/3 and XI has ben done correctly.
Is it possible to use the same TCP/IP port Program ID created in SM59 (in R/3) for sending different RFC messages to XI. Meaning, in different XI RFC sender adapter communication channels, can I use the same Program ID.
When I tried, it work for one RFC, but when multiple RFC sender adapter uses same program ID..RFC program errors out in R/3 itself with error message - Commit fault: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcChannelMismatchExcept.
    Please help.

    Karthik,
It is possible to send different messages from R3 to XI that use the one RFC destination and Program ID (in R/3) and the one Communication channel (in XI)

  • Problems with sender RFC from R/3 4.6D

    Hi all,
I have configured a sender RFC channel on XI cluster. Immediately after channel activation everything looks fine on backend system (R/3 4.6D):
But after some time (e.g. one hour) the connection somehow stops working.
The u201CTest connectionu201D says u201CProgram ID not registered u2026 u201D and also XI hosts is not listed  in u201Clogged on clientsu201D any more.
By restarting the Sender RFC from Communication channel monitor the communication is reestablished. But after an hour it breaks down again.
The strange thing is that this problem occurs only when RFC sender channel is configured on XI cluster with two nodes (our production XI on MSCA). If the same is configured on a stand alone XI (which is our development system) the connection is working fine all the time.
Also the problem happens only when connecting XI cluster with R/3 4.6 D system. When the same connection is established with ERP 5.0 or ECC 6.0 it is working fine.
Setting the property initalRfcClientConnextCheck to false didnu2019t help.
    Thanks for helping.
    Janos

transaction SMGW(gateway monitor) and choose menu option 'Goto --> Logged on clients'.
make sure that the there is an entry in the program id is same as program id in the RFC sender channel...if not try making a change in the RCF channel and activating again
