Configure virtual path mapping for forms 11.1.2

Hi
How to configure virtual path mapping for "Oracle Fusion Middleware Forms and reports 11gR2 (11.1.2.0.0)" on my client?
Configuration type = development.
In forms 10g I configure it in "orion-web.xml".
C:\oracle\ids\j2ee\DevSuite\application-deployments\forms\formsweb\orion-web.xml
Regards
Tobias

If you use the development mode install in 11.1.2 I think you cannot use the "forms.conf" approach because you don't have an OHS installed.
We've used the approach described in the following metalink document (solution no. 1) which works with deployment as well as development installations. Tested on 11.1.1.4 and 11.1.2.
How to Create Virtual Mappings in Forms 11g [ID 1063043.1]
(essentially you extend the WebLogic deployment plan for the formsapp to include the additional mappings and then redeploy the formsapp in WebLogic)

  • Key mapping for forms on web

    Presently we are using forms 4.5. We have got costomise key
    mapping for operating through forms. Now we want to start forms
    on web (Intranet). Earlier we use to change key mapping through
    oracle*terminal. I require help in knowing how to customise key
    mapping in forms 6i / oracle 8.1.7.

    Hi,
    Boy, I have some good news to you: Oracle*Terminal is no longer
    needed.
    WordPad (or your favorite text editor) is your tool from now on.
    Keyboard files are located in $ORACLE_HOME\FORMS60.
    Simply ignore the binary file fmrusw.res when you run Forms on
    the Web. FMRWEB.RES is the one that is used, and it's pure ASCII.
    There are some comments in the file itself.
    The keys are the same as the Motif version of Forms.
    If you prefer the Windows keys, simply use FMRPCWEB.RES instead.
    How? Check under $ORACLE_HOME\FORMS60\SERVER for your
    formsweb.cfg, go to User Parameters and replace the
    otherparams=
    line with
    otherparams=term=%forms60%\fmrpcweb.res
    Now, anyone can define the Function-0 till Function-9 key
    combinations, in order to use KEY-F0 till KEY-F9 triggers.
    Hope this helps,

  • Configure SAP LDAP mapping for MS-ASD

    Hello,
    I 'm configuring an LDAP connector from my MS-AD to my SAP-4.7 ABAP system so the user account from the MS environment gets synchronized with my SAP system.
    I have configured the connection and created some mapping already but I have still some questions about the settings:
    1. With the report I'm able to synchronize an MS_AD account with my SAP environment. For the first test I only add one account name so all other existing accounts are not changed. When the MS-AD account not exists on SAP the account is created like the mapping. I have also the option in this report to delete the user account from the SAP system when the account doesn't exist any more in the MD-AD. How could I prevent that some special user accounts on the SAP system are note deleted even when they are not available in the MS-AD?
    2. With the mapping function MAP_SPLIT_CHAR  a variable by a certain character into two ore more SAP fields like telephone number and telephone extension. Is it possible to split the content of a variable by a fixed amount of characters?
    For example the user location is written like ABC.XZZ
    ABC is the building number and X is the floor number and ZZ is the chamber.
    3. With the mapping function MAP_conc_CHAR I'm able to combine to MS-AD fields into one SAP filed. Is it possible to combine a constant value with a field from MS-AD?
    4. I'm able to insert multiple parameters or user roles by using the function MAP_CONSTANT. I add one attribute and the constant values as parameters. For a couple of parameters I have to insert a MS-AD field. How could I combine inserting constant parameters with some MS-AD fileds
    Example
    The Parameters CAC and BUK are fixed to the company code. But the parameter PER must be set to the employee number. This value I get from the MS-AD .
    5. For the Employee mapping to SAP-HR I have also to configure the Stucture and fields. Does any one have an overview of structure names and field names from the employee structure? It couldn't be asked with the F4 option which could be user with the user mapping.
    Manny thanks in advanced for the answers.
    Kind regards,
    Richard Meijn

    Hi,
    1.
    create a user group for the special users and another user group for "real" users. Restrict the synchronization report to the second user group.
    2.
    You can write your own mapping functions. You will need a developer key in your system and some ABAP knowledge. Create your functions with SE80 or SE37. It is easy to create a function
    3.
    The same: create your own mapping function.
    4.
    It might be possible to fill the different parameters from different AD values depending on the parameter name. Use the ABAP statement "CASE". But there is no such function. You have to write it by yourself.
    But think about what you really want to do. Do you want to invent an Identity Management? There are already a lot of tools. The SAP answer "SAP Netweaver Identity Management" was already mentioned.

  • NAT configuration and Port Mapping for xBox

    I'm looking for help with port mapping to open up the NAT for an xBox One. I'm working with the following network devices:
    xBox One
    DSL Modem: Embarq (ZyXEL) 660R series
    Airport Extreme version 7.7.3
    I understand the following from researching the issue:
    The default settings for both devices block the ports needed for xBox Live.
    Airport Extremes are not on the compatible list for xBox.
    Port Mapping is better then creating a DMZ for the xBox.
    The xBox needs its own manually set IP address.
    I switched my Network>Router Mode from Off (Bridge Mode) to DHCP and NAT. I then created a DHCP Reservation and the Port Settings for that IP.
    After doing this, the Airport would restart and display a warning - Double NAT. I figured this was because the 660 settings showed the NAT Mode to be SUA Only. The Edit Details link displayed an empty table where you edited the SUA/NAT Server Set. I switched from NAT Mode>SUA Only to None. So there was my Double NAT and I would have thought that would have removed one.
    I also disabled the Firewall and Enabled the UPnP.
    After restarts the Airport continued to display the Double NAT error. However, with the 660's NAT Mode set to None, the Internet was not there. Web browsers and email accounts replied with server not found.
    Only with the 660 set to SUA Only and the Airport in Bridge Mode is the Internet accessible. I now have the details for the SUA filled out for the xBox's IP address and ports.
    Hypothesis
    Since both devices are acting as DHCP servers the port mapping is not working. Rather then have the 660 distribute IP addresses and then having the Airport distribute another range of numbers, I need to have both devices bridge and distribute one range of numbers. Currently the 660 is using the 192.168 range and the Airport is using the 10.0 range.
    Am I correct? Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

    Port forwarding through a double NAT.. is near impossible.. !!
    And the xbox is so attuned to using UPNP it is very hard not to.. even port mapping is not a great fix. Since apple decided gamers did not count as users for Airports.. I think honestly it is best to bypass the airport and stick to upnp from the modem router.
    What method of authentication does your ISP use? Because it is really better to use one router.
    And in fact the router should be the Zyxel. If you plug the Xbox to the Zyxel running in full router mode, with the airport removed from the network does it work and open NAT??
    If not replace the Zyxel with a modern listed router that is xbox compatible and bridge the airport to it.

  • Key Mapping for Forms

    Hi All,
    I have 100+ forms, I want to disable some keys in them. e.g. Key-Menu, key-duprec. I can not put a trigger with trigger text 'null;' in each form or inherit an object group and generate again. Can I do something global to remove these key mappings?
    Regards
    Mona

    Mona,
    just an idea: maybe you can create your own keyboard file (.res -file) and assign 'harmless' values to
    Key-menu and key-duprec. Then use the term= tag when you call a form, eg:
    form=<yourform> term=<yourterm-file>
    kind regards,

  • Path Mapping popup issue

    If anyone else has an issue with the "Path Mapping" popup appearing when debugging a Flex and PHP application on your local Zend Server, here is the solution.
    When you first install Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP, it will remind you to download and install Zend Server CE.
    Once you have done that, the next time you start Flash Builder, you get this.
    Unfortunately, Flash Builder for PHP did not configure Path Mapping for Zend Server CE correctly.  When I create a combined Flex and PHP project, and go to debug it, I got this:
    The popup appears like 100 times for various php classes in the framework. I would select the bottom option of "Get content from the server for the following path:"  I would have to go through 5 minutes of clicking these popups before finally getting my application to launch.
    The problem turned out to be the Path Mapping.  If you go to Preferences --> PHP --> PHP Servers, you will see that the Local Zend Server has been added as the default.  Select it and click the Edit button. Then select the Path Mapping tab.
    The entry for Zend Framework will point to a wrong server path.
    The "Path on Server" is set to /usr/local/zend/ZendServer/share/ZendFramework/library
    It should be set to /usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library
    Once I changed it, the popups no longer appeared.

    Jamie
    I just managed to install and setup Builder 4.5 for PHP with Zend Debugger.
    It was quite a headache to enable Zend Debugger on WAMP server. I have been forced to downgrade PHP to ver 5.2.11 (and subsequently to downgrade Apache version to 2.0.63) to make it work. Anyways, not a good start but I thought, ok, finally some progress. At the moment I am faced with same issue as reported in that post however I am not sure how to setup path mapping(s) so I wont be presented with 30-50 popups when trying to debug my PHP classes.
    I tried to check the status of reported bug you have mentioned but link seems to be broken.
    Example of first popup I am presented with:
    Path Mapping - Select Local Resource
    Select the local resource that matches the following server path:
    ...Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\.metadata\.plugins\org.zend.php.framework.resource\resources\ZendFramework-1\library\ Zend\Loader.php
    Get content from the server to the following path:
    C:\Users\Michael\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\.metadata\.plugins\org.zend.php.framework.resource\resources\ZendFramework-1\library\ Zend\Loader.php
    Once I will confirm that popup I am presented with another 30-50 of these. After all is confirmed I am finally able to debug my code.
    Can anyone please advise how to setup this mapping?
    PS. I can create a separate mapping for each php file that is mentioned but surely there should be better way than defining 30-50 separate mappings...
    Regards
    Michael
    Nevermind, I have decided to create mapping for all 30-50 files. It works fine now. Good thing its a global setting and does not have to be set for each project separately;)

  • Configuring Virtual MAC Addresses on ASA

    Hello,
    I configure the virtual MAC address for a interface on ASA 5520, will enter the following command on the active unit:
       failover mac address Inside 0012.3456.789a 0023.4567.89ab
    The active MAC address is of the same as the Inside's burned-in MAC address of the active unit.
    Similarly, the standby MAC address is of the same as the Inside's burned-in MAC address of the standby unit.
    Do I get the effect of failover mac address command?
    Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

    Hi Bro
    That’s fine really. There’s nothing wrong if you’ve configured the active MAC address the same as the Inside's burned-in MAC address of the active unit.
    In an Active/Standby failover, the MAC addresses for the primary unit are always associated with the active IP addresses. If the secondary unit boots first and becomes active, it uses the burned-in MAC address for its interfaces. When the primary unit comes online, the secondary unit obtains the MAC addresses from the primary unit. The change can disrupt network traffic.
    You can configure virtual MAC addresses for each interface to ensure that the secondary unit uses the correct MAC addresses when it is the active unit, even if it comes online before the primary unit. If you do not specify virtual MAC addresses the failover pair uses the burned-in NIC addresses as the MAC addresses.
    P/S: If you think this comment is useful, please do rate them nicely :-)

  • Several paths   with the virtual-directory-mapping    in weblogic.xml

    Hello! I don´t know if this is well posted here. Sorry, and my english is aswful :(.
    I´m trying to put several paths for jsp files in an application, similar to how the extendend document root works in websphere.
    How can I get this on weblogic? With this lines I only managed to get the first but the second url-pattern doesn´t work.
    <weblogic-web-app>
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>/path1/</local-path>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>/path2</local-path>
    <url-pattern>/jsp/*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    </weblogic-web-app>
    My intention is make that the app could access to jsp´s files in path1 and in path2. Is this possible on weblogic?
    Thanks in advance

    I see. In my case, x == images, so if I reverse my directory
    structure I could still get this to work for me. For instance:
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>C:\webapps\context\y</local-path>
    <url-pattern>/images/*</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    /images/z.gif would map to C:\webapps\context\y\images\z.gif.
    I'll have to weigh changing our directory structure vs. keeping the
    servlet we have that rewrites the URL.
    Thanks for your help.

    Rajesh Mirchandani <[email protected]> wrote in message news:<[email protected]>...
    From the developer
    Virtual directories just replace the doc root. The doc root in your case
    is C:\webapps\context\x\y. The request uri is /images/Z.gif. So the whole
    thing resolves to C:\webapps\context\x\y\images\Z.gif. Which is where the
    image should be located.
    We have cleared up the docs. Sorry for any inconvenience.
    Scott Steimle wrote:
    Hi. I noticed in WebLogic Platform 7.0 there is a entry for

    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    </weblogic-web-app>
    In this case I'm assuming that a request of the form
    http:/host:7001/context/images/z.gif would map to the physical file
    C:\webapps\context\x\y\z.gif. However I cannot get this to work. Is
    my assumption about it's use incorrect? Is the syntax of
    <local-path/> or <url-pattern/> wrong? Is there something you have to
    do to get WebLogic to recognize the weblogin.xml file?
    This is urgent. Please help.

  • Virtual directory mapping: how to use variable in local-path element

    Hi all
    We are using a virtual-directory-mapping declaration in the deployment descriptor
    for our web application to load jsp'a and other files from the file system.
    This declaration looks like this:
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>c:/views/jsp</local-path>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    Here is my question:
    Is there a possibility to use a variable in the local-path element? Something
    like:
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>%PATH_TO_JSP%</local-path>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    If yes, how does it look like? My example above didn't work.
    If no, is there another way to do that?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Iwan

    Hi all
    We are using a virtual-directory-mapping declaration in the deploymentdescriptor
    for our web application to load jsp'a and other files from the filesystem.
    This declaration looks like this:
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>c:/views/jsp</local-path>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>

  • Can't invoke PL/SQL cartridge for non-default virtual path

    I have a problem invoking a cartridge if the virtual path is
    anything but the default (/<appName>/<cartName>).
    I have tried stopping and re-starting the application server, but
    that does not help.
    Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    : Hi Amar,
    : Can't help you solve your immediate problem, but here's some
    : food for thought ...
    : Quintessence Systems Ltd (UK) have developed technology which
    : automatically migrates PL/SQL procedures and packages to Java.
    : This is in response to the many customers who are looking to
    : move to a more open and non platform specific architecture for
    : enterprise wide business logic.
    : The Java code generated can be deployed in either Oracle 8i or
    : in an App Server i.e. no need to wrap your existing procedures
    : in a PL/SQL cartridge.
    : If this is of interest, I'd be happy to put you in touch with
    : our technical people to explain to technology in greater
    detail.

    I had a similar problem and maybe it would resolve your troubles
    I don't know but I configured the PL/SQL cartridge and it did
    not work actually it was just a pb of virtual memory ,set your
    mmory to 600M and restart all the stuff.I don't think it will
    resolve the pb but think of it.

  • Context mapping for Interactive ADOBE form

    I could able to create the form context from the web dynpro context. I am stucked at mapping between the two contexts.
    When I insert the element Interactive form in the layout of Web Dynpro and specify the template source,
    We have the option of  automatically generate the context from form interface and binding form object to the
    This context. But I got stucked at the point of mapping between the two. The structure is not appearing in the web dynpro context after mapping. Can anybody tell is there any procedural error or any configuration is required?
