Configuring 11g forms and reports with sso in fusion middleware 11.1.1.6

Hi Experts,
I have followed the below oracle support documents to integrate the three components Oracle Fusion middleware forms and reports 11.1.1.6, OID 11.1.1.2 and OAM 11.1.1.5.
How to Install, Configure and Integrate Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g? (Doc ID 1395233.1)
How to Integrate Forms 11gR2 with OAM/SSO after an 11gR2 Forms/Reports Installation (Doc ID 1531370.1).
After completing the above steps i am able to access the OAM console with OID username.
But while trying to access the Forms through the URL, i'm geeting 404 page not found error.
Can someone help me on this.

WLS 10.3.5 isn't the right version of WLS to use with Forms 11.1.1.3

Deploy Forms and Reports with Load Balancing

I am trying to determine what we need to install here. I have read OracleAS, Web Cache, Application Server, and
Forms documents and have no answer still.
We are currently run 9iAS with Forms and Reports 6i only.
I did not do any of those installs. We are migrating to
Forms and Reports 10g. I need to setup an OracleAS 10g
Forms and Reports application server with the ability to
do Load Balancing over 2 windows Web servers to handle
4,000+ users. The application database will be on its own
Windows server.
Do I need to install the Infastructure, BI, and Web cache?
Or just Oracle 10g Application Server option? Or other?
Do I need to install it on both web servers and do
something like clustering? Do I need to install Web
cache? I just took the 10g AS class and basically did not learn anything about deploying Forms and Reports.
Can anyone give me a place to find the things I need to
install and setup?

I am a DBA and have not done an iAS or AS installation
before but am now required to learn it. We will be using
SSL and no load balancing hardware. We setup for other
customer sites and setting Windows servers in the past.
We have not done load balancing before.
I am just confused with all the 10gAS options there are to
install to just run 10g Forms and Reports and setup
OracleAS 10g with the load balancing features.
So I just need to install OracleAS Forms and Reports
Server if I am just installing Forms and Reports with SSL.
But if for Load Balancing Oracle 10g I need to cluster
just Reports 10g? I thought I would need OracleAS10g
installed on my two Windows servers and somehow cluster
or let the two know they are the same web page handling
the incoming requests? I do know about Apache redirct. Is
that an Apache feature and is it covered in an Oracle
documentation? They did not cover it in class either.

Hi,
you should be able to do the same because Forms and Reports are automatically set up. You need to customize the tnsnames.ora of te applicationServer Network/Admin directoy to point to the database you created. Then you configure the Forms application in the formsweb.cfg file of the Forms/server directory
The access is through the HTTP port of the application server

Error while configuring Oracle Forms and Reports 11g

Hi,
I have been trying to install oracle forms and reports from last 5 days.
I have installed weblogic server 10.3.6
and trying to install forms and reports 11.1.2
Earlier while installing I did not configure it as it was giving some error so I just installed it but not again I have to configure it and I am getting the same error its as follows:-
INST-07286: Specified Oracle Middleware home location does not have version 10.3.5.0 of WebLogic server. If the version is incorrect then configuring with the Weblogic server will fail.
Provide a Oracle Middleware home location which contains WebLogic server with version 10.3.5.0 or upgrade the Weblogic server to 10.3.5.0 and restart the install.
I have latest version of WLS but still its not accepting.
Please help me guys , struggled a lot for it...What shall I do?

For this I downloaded the exact version 10.3.5 and problem got resolved.
But now getting new problem at the end of configuration part on Creating Domain, process is getting stuck. I waited for more than an hour but still progress is 0%.

How to run a silent configuration for Forms and Reports 11g ?

Hi all,
I've run a silent installation for Oracle Forms and Reports 11g R2 in Windows 7 64 bit.
I made it using a response file called install_only.rsp. Now I want to run the configuration also in silent mode.
How can I do it ?
I know that I can use a template called configure_only.rsp. However, i don't know what is the correct syntax for the command to start configuration.
Should I use the same setup.exe installer and inform configure_only.rsp as response file ?
The command below is the appropriate command for this task:
setup.exe -silent -response configure_only.rsp
Or is there another way to be followed?

Alright, I eventually found the answer.
Configuration must be run from directory on windows.
Command is shown below:
<FORMS_HOME>/bin/config.bat -silent -response <path-to-response-file>

How to know report server name in oracle forms and reports with weblogic server 10.3.5

Hello Experts, I am new in oracle forms and reports.I have installed Oracle forms 11g with weblogic server 10.3.5 at windows 7.Forms and reports are working well.But I want to call a report from an oracle form button press trigger. For This I need to know the my report server name which i dont know.Please tell me how can I know my report server name.

You can find the name of the standalone reports server in $ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/ReportsServerComponent.
Or you can use Fusion Middleware Control Console, normally at http://<machine name>:7001/em

Oracle 11g Forms and Reports-download

I want to install oracle and forms to work with oracle 11g database.
can some one provide the download links. I checked with oracle fusion links and there is too much. Not sure which is the one to install. Thanks.

Well, what you need will depend on what you are doing and which Forms/Reports version you want. In general, "Forms" and "Reports" are no longer stand-alone products. They are integrated into Application Server (Fusion Middleware). So, you will end up installing more than just "Forms" or "Reports" no matter what you do. This is more true of Fusion Middleware 11. In version 10, the installation was a little lighter weight.
So, you can download Fusion Middleware 11 from here:

Look for the download titled Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.2.0) . The one labeled "11.1.1.3" is not a fully product, it is a patch for 11.1.1.2. Normally we would not put patches on OTN, but this was an exception. The FMw installation will also require WebLogic Server to be installed first. Refer to the installation guide for details. Links to all the documentation is on the top of the download page.

Load Balancing Forms and Reports with Web Cache

We are planning to add a second OracleAS 10g middle-tier application server to an existing 10g middle-tier.
Both middle tiers will provide Forms and Reports.
Users must pass through two static HTML pages before starting Forms.
We plan to use Web Cache to load-balance (probably using round-robin) between the two middle-tiers.
Does anyone see any problems with this solution?
All comments/suggestions welcome.

You could also load balance the two OC4J's using standard servlet mechanisms. I know that there exists a couple of good notes on Metalink. Go and do a search.

FORMS AND REPORTS WITH IDS10g

I have an IDS10g (10.1.2) WinXP and I want to test a form that call a report, I read in the documentation that rwserver is obsolete, my questions are:
1. It's possible test this environment form that call a report with IDS10g(10.1.2) only or I must install Forms and Reports Services.
2. If the answer is yes (with IDS10g 10.1.2), which is the command for install the report services (in the v.9.0.4 is rwserver and work fine).

Don't use rwserver -install but just rwserver with a name to start up Reports Server

11g Forms and Reports Server on OEL x86_64 ?

Anyone knows when it will be available the forms and reports install for 64 bit plataform? It's not possible to install 32bit on OEL 64 bits am i right?
My uname -m return x86_64 !
Will I have to wait until the 64 bits release?

You need to run l*inux32 bash* on the command prompt before installing 32 bit Application server on 64 bit Operating system.
You dont required to wait for 64 bit Application.

I have already used the HS services to connecto to external databases from our main Oracle database, and the solution works fine.
But unfortunally for this particular client he cannont have installed a Oracle database due to internal policies restrictions.
I can not migrate the full application to another technology like ADF in less than 6 or 8 months.
Do you thifnk that there is any other solution?

APEX Form and Report with SDO_GEOMETRY datatype

Hi,
I am trying to create an apex entry form with report based on a table which has a column of sdo_geometry datatype.
When I create the form through the wizard, the sdo_geometry column doesnot appear on running the form and is also not displayed under the item lists on the page. The report is also created by wizard and displays {datatype} under the SDO_GEOMETRY column.
I want to know how to handle this particular data type - sdo_geometry in application express 3.0 ?

Hello,
I'm not sure APEX is "smart" enough to understand that datatype.
How does your query look like? If you look here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/A96630_01/sdo_meth.htm and you use one of the functions that returns a number that should work.
So in short, as you are in html, can you represent your data as a string or a number or an image/swf/...? If so APEX can display it.
