Confusion about setting up array.can someone trouble shoot this?

Question

Trying to enter 12 values for rainfall for calling to methods later
import java.util.Scanner;
     public class Rainfall
           double []mrt;
          mrt = new double[12];
          int month;
               for (month=0;month<12;month=month++)
                         System.out.println("Input Monthy Rain Total for month #" +(month+1));
                        mrt[month]=keyboard.nextInt();
                              do
                              { System.out.println("Input Monthly Rain Total of Zero or greater!!!");
                                mrt[month]=keyboard.nextInt();
                              while (mrt[month]<0);
     }

I mean, you do know that you should put those statements inside a method, don't you?
