i just finish form my database using mysql front, but i begin
to do the interface uisng dreamweaver i find difficulties to
connect it with the database can someone tell how or tell about a
tutorial that talks about this.

If you're in US it will be in pounds. If your site is set any other country
in the rest of the world it will be metric. So BC or as you call it
Dreamweaver will look at the site country, which you set when creating the

I'm trying to follow the instructions in the article called:
Using Ruby on Rails for Web Development on Mac OS X
I've installed everything according to the instructions and everything seems to work fine. However, I'm having a problem with the "rake migrate" command.
When I run it, it should add an accounts table, but it isn't adding the table. Here is the results of running the command:
[Daves-Computer:~/expenses] davep% rake migrate
(in /Users/davep/expenses)

When, however, I run the command to revert to the previous version I get this:

So it looks to me like I'm accessing the database alright, but I'm not updating it with the new table.
Any ideas? If i'm being obtuse, let me know and I'll try to get you more details.

My Database is Oracle 11gR2 Rac of 2 nodes and on Linux 64-Bit operating system.
Version of my MySQL database is 5.5.17 it is on Linux 32-Bit operating system.
I am trying to connect MySQL database from Oracle database using a database link.
These are the step by step process that I am following to achieve my target. All my processes are on one node of Oracle RAC.
1)
Yum install mysql-connector-odbc
Yum install unixODBC
2)
Edit file /etc/odbc.ini

10) Then i created a database link with the following command:
Create public database link test connect to test identified by test using ‘test’;
I tried username and password in database link with double quotes also.
11) Now Finally when I try to select records from mysql table:
select count(*) from "table"@"test"; -- I have tried with and without double quotes
I get the following error:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
ORA-02063: preceding line from TEST
How to get through this error, and how to check logs for HS?

Hi,
In your listener.ora for the DG4ODBC entry you had -
(ENVS=LD_LIBRARY_PATH = /usr/local/lib:/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/lib)
but this should also include the path for the driver manager directory which in your case is /usr/lib64 so could you add this ?
The error -
Failed to load ODBC library symbol: /usr/lib64/libmyodbc3.so(SQLSetDescRec)
indicates the /usr/lib64 directory cannot be accessed.
The entry should then look like -

The spaces may have bene lost when posting but there should be at least one space in the file as indicated by the <space>.
After making the change then stop and start the listener.
If you still have problems then please post again the current versions of the configuration files, the full errors shown in SQLPLUS for a select and the output from a debug trace showing the errors.
The information shows you are using the 3.51 MySQL ODBC driver so could you also try with the latest version of the 5.1 driver and see if you have the same problem ?

Thanks so much; you just helped me fit together the last few pieces of this puzzle. I did a little more digging and found a [url http://support.webecs.com/KB/a375/how-do-i-configure-sql-server-express-to-allow-remote.aspx]knowledge base article that explains how to set a static TCP port. According to the article, SQL Server 2005 selects a random dynamic port on installation, and my experience bears out the fact that it does survive server reboots.

Not able to connect Nokia 5233 with laptop using b...

Hi Experts,
I purchased Nokia 5233 couple of months back. Since then i am facing problem in connecting the phone with any laptop using bluetooth. It gets connected to other phones via bluetooth very easily, but doenot get connected with any laptop.
Whenever I try to search the phone, it appears as active device. When I try to connect to phone the message appears "connection failure". It happens the same with every laptop. Is there anything which i can do to correct this problem?

The gateway file initMYSQL_LOCAL.ora should be placed in the directory -
$ORACLE_HOME\hs\admin
which is the expected location. In your setup this should be -

If the file is already in that location then make sure that in the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora that in each section every line except the first line starts with at least one space -

Of course, with spaces as shown above. They are often lost in the forums.

Connecting mysql database to dreamweaver

when i try to upload database which i did in mysql to the
webserver from dreamweaver by doing: view - live data in
dreamweaver i get this message: "the testing server did not execute
any of the scripts in your document.possible explanations
include:1. the testing server is not running 2. the testing server
ignores files with the php. extension. 3. your document does not
contain any scripts"
my webserver is xampp (appache + mysql) and below are the
scripts which i used:
also when i do F12 the images in the database appear gibrish
on the webserver page.
what did i do wrong ?

It sounds as though you have not defined the testing server
correctly in
your Dreamweaver site definition.

You should not store images inside the database. Or if you
do, you need
to write a proxy script to display them. The normal procedure
is to
store the details of images (such as filename) in the
database, but keep
the images themselves in the normal file system. Use the
filename from
the recordset result to build the <img> tag to display
the image.

have a totally unprotected database.

How to connect to wlan with n97 using ca certifica...

Hi all I have been trying to get my wireless working on my N97 at work which uses WPA/WPA2 and after a week and lots configuration changes I finally got it working, So I thougt I will share this
Since my work WLAN uses EAP-PEAP I needed the root ca certificate which i got from my network team.
So the first thing I did was send the cert to my phone and saved it
   To do this I sent the cert to my phone eg E:downloads folder
   I then went to file manger and found the cert under E:download folder
   I doubled clicked the folder and was promted to save which I did
   The cert will be installed under Setting-->Phone-->Phone Mangement-->Security     Settings-->Certf mangement -->Authority certificate
Next you need to setup a new access point to do this i did:
go to Settings-->Connectivity-->Destinations-->Access point(add new)
you will then be promted to auto check to available access points which you will click yes
select the wlan you like to connect to and select internet
After doing the above go to Settings-->Connectivity-->Destinations-->Internet-->your wireless network ....open this to edit
Connection name -- leave defautl
Data bearer --leave default
Wlan Network name -- leave default
Network status -- leave default
Wlan network mode --leave default
WLAN security mode -- WPA/WPA2
Homepage --leave default
user access point --leave defualt
the only thing to change is WLAN security setting to do this
Double click WLAN security setting
WPA/WPA2 -- EAP
WPA2 only mode --off
Double click EAP plugin settings
enable EAP-PEAP
disable the rest
Double click EAP-PEAP to edit
Pesonal certificate ---Not defined
Authority certificate -- click and select the on you saved in the begining
User name in user -- user selected
User name -- your user name
Realm in use -- user selected
Realm -- your domain
TLS privacy --off
Allow PEAPv0 -- Yes
Allow PEAPv1 --no
Allow PEAPv2 --no
click right with the key pad or press the right arrow on top
enable EAP-MSCHAPv2 and disable the rest
Double click EAP-MSCHAPv2
User name -- you user name
Prompt passsword -- YES
Password -- you password
After this go back to Setting -->conectivity-->WLAN network
search for you WLAN select it and it should work..
this configuration worked for me

Hi guys, got some problems with my n97 and the eduroam eap-peap with mschap v2.
so we got this thing new in university, and i'm not able to connect to it.
all the iphone/windows guys just connect to the wlanpoint, accept the certificate, enter their userdata (without a realm ..) and its on. as we all know, its not that easy with symbian (and android) mobiles.
I allways find the eduroam with full signal strength, and add an accesspoint with the right settings.
I searched about an hour and i am sure i got the right settings.
Connection name -- blablabla
Data bearer --wlan
Wlan Network name -- eduroam
Network status -- open
Wlan network mode --infrastructure
WLAN security mode -- 802.1x
Double click WLAN security setting
WPA/WPA2 -- EAP
eap-only and at pos.1
Pesonal certificate ---Not defined
Authority certificate -- the certificate i downloaded from university (same as on IPhone, PC..)
User name in user -- user selected
User name -- eighter username@domain and blank realm or only username and domain in the realm field
Realm in use -- user selected
Realm -- see username
TLS privacy --off
Allow PEAPv0 -- Yes
Allow PEAPv1 --no
Allow PEAPv2 --no
enabled EAP-MSCHAPv2 and disabled the rest
User name -- you user name
Prompt passsword -- YES

So i can't connect to it, i try to connect to it and after a while it wants me to put my username and passwort in it (when i use prompt password yes of course). i enter it, enter the password. after a while it asks me a second time.. after i do it again it says
EAP-PEAP Authentification failed
For me, as a technical interested guy, it seems to me, that the logininformation is not correct or not transfered correctly. Why else should it ask me a second time to input it.
But i tried all possibilities, even with other domains ... other possibility, that my account is banned is not possible because i tried it with an other one an it didnt work too.
I dont have a clue why this doesnt work.. as said before, i really tried every username possibility (leave it blank, with domain, without...)
