Connect to multiple local instances without enterig passwords

Oracle 10R2 on Linux Gentoo
I have several local instances which I want to connect in shell script without setting password explicitly. But when I use @connect_string it seems to me that os authentication is ignoring by oracle. Look at this:
oracle@omega1 ~ $ sqlplus / as sysdba

I wouldn't like to enter sys password interactively because i use sqlplus from shell script which is ran under cron (unix scheduler).
remote_login_passwordfile is already set to exclusive:

  • Java client connecting to multiple weblogic instances

    We have a standalone java client JMS application that needs to connect to multiple
    Weblogic instances running in different domains.
    The client works fine when we obtain an initial context to the multiple instances
    without specifying a security principle and password. As soon as we add in this
    information, we get problems: The initial context is still successfully retrieved
    for each of the weblogic instances, but we cannot send JMS messages to destinations
    on one of the Weblogic instances due to a security exception which states that
    there is an 'Invalid Principal'.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    You should first establish a trust relationship between your Weblogic
    servers:
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/secmanage/domain.html#1171534
    It is very poorly documented since this is a change in the behavior with
    previous versions and should have been in the Release Notes but instead
    is inside the normal documentation.

  • R/3 connected to multiple XI instances

    Can a single R/3 instance be connected to multiple XI instances at the same time?  If so are there any limitations and is there any special considerations that should be taken into account?

    Limitation is only when you are using proxy because here you are using native XI protocol and depend on these administration settings in SXMB_ADM. In SXMB_ADM there is one selection you can choose either INTEGRATION SERVER or NON INTEGRATION SERVER. If you choose non integration you have to point to your current integration server and here you can only fill one destination.
    Assuming :
    Type XI : R/3
    RFC  N   : M
    IDOC N   : M
    Proxy (XI) 1:N
    other adapters N : M
    where
    N,M - any number
    By the way using few XI servers connected to one R/3 is a little bizzare

    MatchExpression /x
    WebLogicCluster=server1:port,server2:port|PathTrim=/x
    MatchExpression /yWebLogicCluster=server3:port,server4:port|PathTrim=/y
    The general syntax for this would be:
    MatchExpression exp name=value|name=value
    Where exp=Mime type(*.jsp) or exp=/x(path)
    The next argument in the list is a pipe(|) delimited list ofname=value

  • LDAP connections with multiple proxy instances

    After configuring LDAP connectivity through the Admin application on a machine with multiple proxy instances I end up with:
    number of proxy instances x LDAPConnPool times number of connections to the LDAP server.
    Question: Is it possible to prevent some of the proxy instances from opening LDAP connections?

    Hi
    Increase the IDLE timeout value on the LDAP server. Of course, this just extends the inevitable. Check if there is a way to disable IDLE timeout on LDAP server.

  • Sharing information Instantly between multiple Local SWFs without a server

    Hey there everyone, so here is my problem:
    I would like to Have a string (JSON object)  that is shared across X number of SWFs that are running locally on the users machine. In addition to that, I would like to 'instantly' (with in a few MS) know when said JSON object has been updated. This needs to be done _without_ a remote server, and in AS3 (duh )
    What I've tried:
    Shared Object - Great for storing information across multiple SWFs and have had no problems reading / writing however since it is not remote there is no event (that i know of) to listen to on SWF_A to tell me when SWF_B has changed the SO
    Local Connection - this would work with the Shared Object, in place of event listeners to tell everyone else when to update.  However, you cannot 'connect' to the same name more than once.  Becase of this, each application would need to know the name of every other SWF that the user is currently running, and notify individually
    And yes, I thought of Timers, and no, they are not the ideal /acceptable solution.
    Looked for 3rd party libraries, haven't found any.
    Any insight would be super useful.  Thank you.
    -Andrew

    Yea, I thought about that also, kind of creating a stack, however there are 2 main issues with that.  A timer is still implemented for the 'controlling SO' swf to check for updates, and when / where does the main SWF get created.  Let's say the user has a SWF off my home page www.myexampleurl.com, one a subsequent page: www.myexampleurl.com/checkScores.php, and one in a MySpace widget (LOL myspace) www.myspace.com/myspaceIsLame then the main homepage would create this SWF, however if the user doesn't have the homepage open, where would the SWF go?  This would require working out each application to determine if it  has premissions to open up it's own instance of this swf to handle things.
    To do it right, seems like it would take a long time, and to do it fast, seems like it would get super sloppy super fast.  I do appreciate your help though!
    Any other thoughts?

  • Connectivity issue with local instance of sql server

    hi everbody,
    well for the last couple of days i have almost taken my head out to get this issue resolved.
    but still i am no where. i have already referred to so many tips available online but still can't fix the prob.
    i am trying to connect a C# ( .net 2005) program to connect to the  integrated sql server 2005 instance on my local computer.
    i have got windows 7 home basic on my pc with .net frame work 2.0 sp2 and have also upgraded to sql server 2005 sp3 as per some online study.
    i have also tried all these steps but still getting the error 40.
    1. Check Whether the SQL Server is running or not.
    Because the trial to connect to the stopped server may also cause this problem.
    2. Check the name of the SQl Server.
    For example, if we try to connect to SQL server using .NET application, for some SQL Server, the name of the server "localhost" works, but for some server, we may need to mention "(local)".
    3. Check Whether the SQL Browser Service is running
    4. Check Whether the TCP/IP is enabled for SQL Server Configuration
    * Expand SQL Server Configuration Manager
    * Enable TCP/IP
    5. Firewall Settings
    You may need to add the port of Sql server to the Firewall if it is other than the default port(1433).
    Go to Control Panel | Windows Firewall | Change Settings | Exceptions | Add Port
    6. Enable the Remote Connection
    Goto SQL Server Management Studio.
    Right Click on Server node
    Click On Properties
    Check the Allow Remote connections to Server Check Box
    7. Enable Named Pipes
    - Open the "SQL Server Configuration Manager" (under Configuration Tools)
    - Expand the "SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration"
    - Select the "Protocols for "
    - Set the Named Pipes To Enabled
    8. Create Exception of Sqlbrowser.exe
    kindly provide me some help with your valuable suggestions.

  • My tech person on campus wants to know the apple number of the apple tv so he can directly hook the internet into the apple tv without a password. I can't seem to find anything but the serial number on the box or on the tv? Does anyone know where it is?

    I bought apple tv thinkng it would save me from my college life of not being able to have cable but it has cost more of a problem Be
    ause my campus is so large we have passwords to log into our network. When I called the tech people they siad if i had the apple number they would be able to connect it to the network without a password. I tought this was the source of my problem because i can not connect to the server because it is not loging in to my apple id and password that is my itunes account. I have checked it multiple times and thats not the problem. The other problem is I can not find the apple number the tech was describing to connect it to the network. Does anyone know the answers to my problems? Im a college student in dire need of tv!

    Hi,
    I imagine he means "encrypted wireless.
    I'm a little confused about what the IT guy wants. If your campus has a wireless network and others with laptops etc can connect to it them you should also be able to with the Apple TV. It seems to me that the campus IT guy needs to give you the name of the wireless network (SSID) and a  password so you can connect.
    Then go to Apple TV General/Network/Configure Wi-fi and follow instructions. The IT person should tell you what encryption they use WEP, WPA, WPA2 etc. Probably WPA2. You'll need this infor to connect.
    Then go to
    Apple TV General/Network/Configure TCP/IP and you will probably tell it to use DHCP and it should connect you to the campus network.
    After that you can sign into the iTunes store etc.
    Or am I missing something here?
    Pat.

  • Can't we start a RAC instance without local pfile ?

    Database opened.So, local pfile is mandatory for all RAC instances ?

    Hi,
    My question is whether this instance specific local pfile must be there in OH/dbs directory ?YES
    Didn't get a clear answer yet.
    It seems that it is mandatory. And this is most probably the reason these instances didn't come up after the reboot of this node.Startup Sequence:
    Startup of Cluster:
    Using "srvctl" to start your database/instance:
    Srvctl read the OCR and check the parameter SPFILE from your database registration:
    If parameter SPFILE in OCR have a value the srvctl will use this value to start your database instance.
    If parameter SPFILE in OCR don't have a value (i.e null) Oracle will try find the file SPFILE<ORACLE_SID>.ora on $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
    If the file SPFILE<ORACLE_SID>.ora does not exists, Oracle will try use the file init<ORACLE_SID>.ora
    If init<ORACLE_SID>.ora does not exist... the startup will fail.
    From ORACLE_HOME of your database execute command above to get value of Spfile parameter on OCR:
    srvctl config database -d <DB_NAME> |grep SpfileStartup manually from SHELL using SQLPLUS:
    Using SQLPLUS to start a database Oracle always first use SPFILE<ORACLE_SID>.ora stored on $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/ if this file does not exist he will try use INIT<ORACLE_SID>.ora to start Database Instance.
    If your spfile is stored on ASM you must create a INITFILE pointing to SPFILE stored on ASM.
    e.g From instance 1
    cat /oracle/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/dbs/initorcl1.ora
    SPFILE='+DATA/ORCL/spfileorcl.ora'Regards,

    I've got a new Apple ID but can not change anything on my phone, my old Apple ID is connected to icloud but is not letting me delete it without a password! But I do not know this password what can I do?

    If the old ID is an earlier version of your new ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your new iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  You can now use your new password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
    Note: this will not work if your new ID is an entirely new ID that was never previously associated with the old email address.

    www.mydomain.com/instance1 -> point to Coldfusion instance1
    www.mydomain.com/instance2 -> point to Coldfusion instance2
    www.mydomain.com/instance3 -> point to Coldfusion instance3

    Hi, im still stuck on this problem.. the only solution i find is using a mod_proxy before processing the request, but i still have to use a different virtual host for each instance..
    Tryng with one Virtual host i tried configuring in this way my apache configuration file:
        <IfModule mod_jrun22.c>
          JRunConfig Verbose true
          JRunConfig Ssl false
          JRunConfig Ignoresuffixmap false
        </IfModule>
        <Location /test1>
          JRunConfig Serverstore /opt/cf/jrun4/lib/wsconfig/2/jrunserver.store
          JRunConfig Bootstrap 127.0.0.1:51000
          AddHandler jrun-handler .cfm .cfml .cfc .jws .cfr .cfswf
        </Location>
        <Location /test2>
          JRunConfig Serverstore /opt/cf/jrun4/lib/wsconfig/3/jrunserver.store
          JRunConfig Bootstrap 127.0.0.1:51002
          AddHandler jrun-handler .cfm .cfml .cfc .jws .cfr .cfswf
        </Location>
    But all the request are processed by the last one cf server (in this example the one responding to port 51002)
    I think something could be done with SetHandler directive.. but at the moment i couldn't get it to work.. any suggestion or hints are appreciated

    The local Admin Password was reset to the "original" (after install) one.
    Any ideas how to fix the problem?

    Dear all,
    the encryption was NO on all protocols.
    Because no additional ideas available, i uninstalled the SQL Server on friday.
    At the Re-Install Process i got again an error:
    [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Shared Memory Provider: No process is on the
    other end of the pipe .
    The install process failed.
    On google i found the same problem in an other thread:
    http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.sqlserver.connect/browse_thread/thread/dbec4a9a271f69a6/7cd22694da3a6062?lnk=st&q=%22Shared+Memory+Provider%3A+No+process+is+on+the+other+end+of+the+pipe%22&rnum=2&hl=en#7cd22694da3a6062
    ++++++
    During the installation process of SQL Server 2005, Setup complains it cannot
    connect to the database service for server configuration. The error was:
    [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Shared Memory Provider: No process is on the
    other end of the pipe .
    I have checked that the pipe exists (\\.\pipe\SQLLocal\MyInstance), but
    everytime the installer attempts the connecting the pipe is closed by the
    server and another is reopened. That's why the Client says there is no
    process on the other end of the pipe.
    I have re-installed 'everything', tried connections via TCP, but nothing
    works.
    I have made a small application to connect to the pipe and noticed that
    there are 3 instances of the pipe running, one that I am connecting to, and 2
    listening pipes. If I write to 'my' pipe SQL server disconnects the pipe and
    reopens another too. The difference is that SQL server writes an error
    message in the log file. No such luck when the Native client is doing the
    same.
    What more can I do?
    ++++++
    and an answer
    ++++++
    I finaly found the problem to be the certificate used.
    I noticed that a certificate was added to the machinekeys just recently.
    (in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
    Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys)
    I renamed it to another name and re-installed sql server.
    I noticed that sql server ERRORLOG complained about certificate that it
    couldn't load and the generation of a self-generaed certificate (see below)
    "2005-12-10 21:01:02.30 Server      The server could not load the
    certificate it needs to initiate an SSL connection. It returned the following
    error: 0x8009030d. Check certificates to make sure they are valid.
    2005-12-10 21:01:02.49 Server      A self-generated certificate was
    successfully loaded for encryption."
    Now the installation succeeded
    ++++++
    With Windows 2008 it was really a challange to get access to this folder (!!!)
    After clearing the folder the ReInstall of SQL Server works fine.
    Now the SQL Server & the SQL Server Agent works again.
    The problem was anything with encryption, old certs & files.
    I don't think that everyone can afford reinstalling SQL server.
    I finaly found the problem to be the certificate used.
    I noticed that a certificate was added to the machinekeys just recently.
    (in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
    Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys)
    I think this is what the following blog was saying , a problem with certification
    http://blogs.msdn.com/sql_protocols/archive/2006/07/26/678596.aspx
    Cheers
